*Tajwar panted; her lean frame softly shifted from side to side as she padded in a circle. All four of her paws were working at top speed, so when she moved her body jerked from one side to another. Many thoughts that filled her mind as of late; many of them concerning herself and her loved ones.
She wanted badly to say what she felt; she longed to be truthful with herself. What would she do?
She sighed and rested herself down; her dark orbs narrowed as she relaxed her stiff body. Her tail softly batted from side to side as she did this.
What to do... what to do?*

Usu yawned, rubbing the back of his head. Been a couple of days under his tree, he was home again now that Saa was finally happy with Zing. Now Usu can get on with his life, then again, was he even ready? Most of his life revolved around his friends, so he has to encounter them, they were his life now. Tajwar, Sesere, Saa, and Zing, their pups too. He was connected to them in a way.
He had nothing better to do anyways.
"Acacia, going down to the watering hole..."
He spoke, once again, it did not reply. Had it died? No, the leaves have been green for days, they were alive. Strange, perhaps it no longer sought to speak with the wolf no more. Usu shook his head with a smile and started down to the watering hole, a daily routine he did quite often now that he was alone again.
Following the dirt path, he kept his head high and his tail high. It was only a few months ago when he was a feeble wolf, weak and fragile. It was then he met Tajwar and Sesere. Now he was older, stronger, and much more knowledgeable of his abilities as a seer. He had grown since then, he was content, but not entirely. Always felt there was something missing inside of him....
Carefully he walked when a breeze rolled around him.
Acacia?
He thought, wiffing it, no it wasn't it was just a regular breeze, but this one carried a scent. A stupid, childish grin parted his maw, teeth revealed. In a moment, the wolf dashed off.

*A gust of wind awoke her from her thoughts as the golden grasses that rested along her mixed pelt danced. Her fur ruffled softly now, as she moved herself to stand; She stood with her head facing the winds, and she stood with pride.
Parting her paws she slowly started off in the direction of the wind, slowly walking onward. Her eyes narrowed as the burning winds hit them; though it didn’t seem to affect her much. She was strong, a mother of five… she could take care of herself.
Couldn’t she?
All of her life she had been told that she was the only one that could keep her safe… and that trusting someone else would indeed lead to her dismay; but… what if she wanted to give her trust to someone? What if she wanted to speak what she felt?
Would she be hurt?
Softly she sighed; padding onward slowly; by this time the winds had faded and she was simply walking aimlessly. The female wolf stopped in her tracks and lifted her head slowly at the familiar sent…
Usu?
She smiled brightly and looked around… Where was he?

Usu bounded over the grassy savannah, just as he had many times when he raced with that wierd wild dog, Jamaa. He had enjoyed it actually, running over the land, watching it pass under him. It felt as if he could fly over these lands if he ran fast enough. Paws alternating below him as he pushed himself further and further, maw parted, tongue lolled, he followed that scent.
I'm coming...
There it was, that beautiful pelt of that female he first loved, still does. Though he had seen her a few times, that night he found her under his tree and then again with two of her pups, Ali'ka and Reese. She was a strong, wise one, she was, he loved her but so did Sesere. How could he compete with such a wolf such as he? He was weak then, unconfident, and when he finally gathered teh courage to speak his feelings, he was already too late. But he did manage to say them, Usu did say them to her that night he found her again, he remembered teh world lifting from him. Usu bounded faster and faster, lunging at her.
"Tajwar!"
He shouted playfully as he jumped at her. Sure, he was immature, but he enjoyed the fun it had.

*At his sudden appearance Tajwar laughed and jumped for joy. Her paws batted upward as he jumped at her playfully. She was so happy to see him, it seemed every time she saw him, her smile grew.*
“Usu!”
*She laughed, taking after his ‘Tajwar!’ With bright eyes she danced around him and nipped at his left ear playfully, tugging at him every so often. She loved the time she got to spend with him, she loved being able to see him; things seemed flawless!
Stopping quickly the female wolf beamed and nuzzled him softly, rubbing her head under his chin. Though she didn’t know everything about him, or anything that he had done when she was not around, she didn’t really care; everyone made bad choices, life went on.
Though... Tajwar didn’t stop nuzzling him, her face seemed to linger along him as she stood beside him and played a game of hide and seek with her eyes; covering them with his fur every time he looked at her.
She was young, and full of life.
She was happy.*
"Usu... I love you."
*She was… in love.*

Usu murred softly with Taj. For some reason, she was the only one to bring forth a genuine smile, one that he felt happy about, nothing to hide behind, a smile that was him. He was glad to see her again, it felt like a life time since the last. It was as if all else didn't matter anymore in that moment with her.
"Hey there Tajwar."
He chuckled as she she played with his ear, nipping and tugging on it. It seemed like nothing could possibly go wrong with her around. No wonder why he always felt safe with her. After all he was the youngest of all the adult maned wolves he knew.
Usu's eyes grew wide, his sapphire pupils eyeing down at the nuzzling female. Did she just.....she did? His face was turning a hue of red, blushing more from her confession, already blushing from her affectionate nuzzling. Was this really happening? The first love of his life finally speaking those three words he longed to hear? The three words he had never heard from another's maw?
Usu parted his maw slightly, taken by her gesture and voice. It was still as pure as he first met her. He loved her too, he knew that, he told her once before. But what of Sesere? What of her family? What would happen if he confessed once again and Sesere was near to hear? No, he will fight for her this time. He lost her once, he will try to hold onto her now.
Slowly, he wrapped a paw over her back, pulling his muzzle from her nuzzling,
"....I love you too, Taj."
The male replied, licking her head lovingly.

*She stopped her nuzzle and slowly backed away from him; so that she could face him. Her tail softly batted from side to side as she gazed at him with that same understanding gaze as she did so long ago. Things may have changed, but she would always love him.
Slowly she sighed; her glossy orbs narrowing until they fell to a slit. She wanted to make everything right in the world, but she couldn’t True she had a family, and true she had a mate; but she and Ses no longer spoke to one another… and her feelings had changed. Her pups would be fine; they were due to grow up someday.
Tilting her head to the side the mix-match colored female smiled at him warmly and spoke.*
“I want to be with you.”

Usu watched the female move from him, still facing him. His tail swung side to side just like her's, in sync with her's. Then his eyes came up to her wonderfully, dark eyes, she was looking at him like she did when they first met. Indeed, things have changed, Ses and Taj had a family, Usu had become the Godfather of his friend's litter, and he had mated to the wanderer Sikki. Things have changed, but his heart still ached for Tajwar. Every now and again her face would appear to him, in the waters, in the faces of the walls, and even in the stars at night.
He watched her sigh, pulling his ears down as if he had done something wrong. Had he? Was it because he had almost forgotten about her when she was with Saa and her pups? Was it because that demon inside of him mated with Sikki? Was it just him?
Quickly he flinched when she spoke, another phrase he longed to hear. Usu looked down at his paw, his expression lightening, a soft, loving smile. He turned back up to her, ears perked, eyes closed with a smile smile.
"I want to be with you too, Taj. Now and forever. Will you give me that?"

*At his request all she could do was push forward and nuzzle him deeply. She licked at his face and nodded many times; as if to reassure him of her silent promise. She loved him… and she needed him in her life. He helped pick her up when she was down. With a soft tone she spoke out, her tail wagging manically.*
“I will…”
*With that said she smiled and took in air; her chest puffed slightly as she rested her chin along his neck line. Though they were standing still… she felt like she was flying. She had longed for this moment for some time now… and after all of this time she was faintly able to be true to herself.
She loved Usu.*

She agreed! She agreed!
Usu smiled, inside he was jumping all around, devouring the butterflies in his stomach, she agreed! He was so happy, at last.
Then a thought crossed his mind, he dropped his ears and pulled away from her, sitting down away from her. There were things she had to know before she completely agree with him. There were things that could interfere with their life if they did spend it together. He had to tell her. He had to tell her everything about him. He had to empty his bottle.
"Taj there are some things you need to know about me....."
Usu took a deep breath and began his long speel.
"I am the heir of the Muroder Pack, the Shadow Clan. When I was born, I was given this mark, as tradition of the pack. It was said that I was to over come obsticles to achieve a life equivalent to the heavens, a good, long life. I remember the other memebers getting angry and running me out. I was only a pup then. I still have nitemares about it.
Another thing: I am a seer, I see things that others do not. I could see another's past, another's present, and another's future. I could see my past, that is how I know more about my puphood, I saw another's present, locating them. And then there is my future, how I found you...
I loved you Tajwar, I did, with all my heart. But when Sesere took you from me, I was crushed, broken. I spent the rest of my days in my den, by myself, ignoring even the tree. Then Zing and Saa came along. Saa was a strong believer in the gods, believed that if she mated with a Prophet she could return home. Zing was just a male like no other, just a regular male....well at first anyways. Then there was Sikitu, a journeying female, wanted to start a pack if I remember correctly. Tell you the truth, I sort of had strong feelings for the two, Saa and Sikki.....
Then Saa mated with Zing, tricked from what I recall. When she had her pups, he abandoned her, taking one of the pups. I came to her and evidently became their Godfather. I knew I loved her too, but something restricted me. I knew Zing would return to her someday, I was sure of it. I knew he would come back to his family. I stayed there to provide and watch over them. But that was when I reliezed my abilities, I was able to see things....and with that came another. There was something inside of me, a beast that I could not control. It fed off everything that I hid from everyone, it fed on it, used my seer abilities and got free. He was the one who mated with Sikki when she was in heat.....God, if she is pregnant with my pups...I dunno what I'd do.
However, I admit it, I did desire to mate with you Taj, I did as well with Saa and Sikki. I desired to have a family. I desired to have everyone I loved together, and happy. Even now, I desire you.
...Taj, if I don't vent my memories, my desires, my wants, my needs...I fear that he will take me over again. But what I fear most is what he could do to you and everyone I hold close to me...
Taj...do you still want me now?"
He opened himself out completely, emptied the entire thing. His back remained turned, his head down.

*His words pierced her heart like cold ice; eating at her insides she felt a soft gasp pass her slightly parted muzzle. He had opened up to her.. About everything, and even though she was thankful he had… she felt cold inside. Something about him being in love with so many made her feel small.
But then again, she had done the same. She had loved before him, it was nothing anyone could control she assumed.. Shifting her weight she sighed and looked down at her black colored paws. She was lost within her own thoughts; unaware of what to do at this time.
She didn’t want to judge him but she found it hard not to… things were so scattered… torn bits and pieces of his past without her hunted her now. What would she do? She hated thinking about all of this now… her insides felt sick to the bone.
What would she do… what would she do?
She sat there… silent for what seemed like hours… though really it was only minuets. With a soft sigh she broke the silence and spoke out in a soft tone; her ears pinning back slowly.*
“Usu. I do not care about what has happened in the past; I am here now.”
*Though her words were short; this was all that she felt she needed to say.
The past was the past, and tomorrow was another day.*

Usu smiled softly, holding back his unseen tears. Even after admitting himself for what he was, his past, what she wanted to know, what he had been doing, and even his own desires....and his secret. And yet she still understood him, she didn't care. But somewhere in those words, she did just a little. He understood though, he told her that he loved two others, not just her. That could hurt even the proudest female, it even hurt him.
"Taj....I'm sorry."
He replied pathetically not knowing what else to say to her. What else could he say? He just admitted he loved her, but he also admitted he loved two others. And he mated with another female at that.
What would he do now? What can he do now?
Slowly he turned to her, eyes teary, but still he smiled through.
"I'm glad I got that out, huh?"
He spoke, jokingly. He stayed where he was frightened that if he moved first, she would run from him. At least here he would be there but not close to her, if that made any sense.
"What do you say now...? Do you still want to be with me?"

*Tajwar couldn’t hate him for telling her the truth, and even though it hurt her, she understood why he did what he did… or at least she liked to think she did. With a soft sigh she rested her head along his neck line and sat down; her ears pinned backwards as she spoke out to him softly.*
“I have my own problems… no one is perfect, but together I believe we can help each other.”
*As she spoke her voice trailed off until there was nothing left but silence. She sat there for a while, not moving much. She smiled sighed every now and then and let her dark eyes settle softly.*
“I am here, Usu. I will not go, unless you want me to.”

Usu pinned his ears back as well, leaning his head against her's. Even now she still likes him even after all he had done. He wanted to deperately bury it all, but he cannot. Those feels he had for the other two were there, the time he spent with them, still there, the experiences with the pups, especially Beluwa and Potevu, were still there. He could not bury them...only build upon them with new experiences, a new love, a family.
Usu wrapped a paw around her, pulling her closer.
"I know we can...your problems are mine as well..."
He spoke softly, carefully nuzzling her.
"Thank you, Taj...I want you here...with me. I want everyone to be alright. You, me, Ses, the pups, and even my other friends. I just...."
He cut off, feeling warm tears fall from him onto her.
"I just want everyone to be happy..."

“No, Usu, my battles are my own… just do not worry about me. I can take care of my problems.”
*She assured softly; her body softly rested against his as she took in a deep sigh; before exhaling. She was glad that he could tell her what he felt and what he wanted to get off of his chest… it was a good sign. Slowly she pulled back and with out any other words spoken started to walk away from him. If he wanted to be around her he could follow- if he wanted to be away from her, he could leave. With her, he was free to do what he wanted- just so long as she was the one he came back to in the end.*
