Trigger was able to escape Mwana's watchful eye, at least for the moment. The female was rather clingy now that he was back with her. She seemed afraid that he "abandoned" her, and he felt guilty about it. Does that prove he is not entirely of Firekin blood? Feeling guilty for doing something wrong? Who knows. He had tried so hard to supress the urge to just break free and hurt and destroy, it would explain why he had tried to get rid of Mwana. He could not control himself when he lost his temper. His pupils would narrow and then he would rampage until he was calmed down and that took a while. Trigger was a loaded gun, readied to fire.

He sighed as he moved along the dirt path that ran around the perimeter of the Pride Lands. It seemed like a nice place, Trig said he was going there the last time they met and that was a long time ago. Was he still there? Trigger felt like his mind was going to explode if he could not talk with someone. However he was afraid to talk to anyone in fear that he would hurt them, with Trig he knew that he could take care of himself.

Mwana had once told him that his blood meant nothing. He always said that he was an ex-Firekin and yet always said that he had Firekin blood running through his veins which made him one. Things just contradicted each other, one after the other. Things were getting complicated.

His eyes narrowed as he felt that urge, that urge again coming out. The pressure swelled in his chest until it came out as a loud roar.

Avians fled to the skies with wings of many to escape to their sanctuary.

An ear flicked, as something, rested under and acacia tree with the remains of a buffalo heard. He was cleaning off the skull, just for amusement, because buffalo skulls were always amusing. He wasn't a waster, though. The lion was large, and managed to eat almost the whole thing. With the skull clean, he put his paw in it, waving it around boredly, waiting for the noisy roarer to come by, flicking his tail idly, as if the fact that he had a skull on his paw were no big deal.

He had no fear of anything; the former firekin was even larger than his kin. His life had been rough, but he couldn't complain about that; he'd chose it. He'd chosen to do every single step he'd taken, and he absolutely loved the results; fear. He loved seeing the fear in anothers eyes, when they came face to face with him. That wasn't always the case, and they sometimes needed sense knocked into him, but that itself was a reward.

Yet sometimes, just relaxing and looking plain dumb could be fun. Though... There was no one to fool with. He'd separated from Afu a bit, and that was rather boring, and no longer with Gumu, he couldn't simply relax and have fun with anyone, curse at stupid animals, plan your fighting strategies...

Damn, sometimes he realised how it'd been good to have a friend, if only one odd, twisted minded one. Quite a couple, hadn't they been?

He narrowed hs eyes, watching the vague form of another in the distance.

The Firekin's chest heaved as his dull green eyes gazed into the sky. The serene blue sky, endless above him. On going, never ending, boundless as the clouds form beneath it, blocking out the light to create a shadow. His maw was still ajar, panting. Why..... Why did he have to be born of a monster and a female he saw as a saint? Where was that little runt he called a friend? Where was Ashki? Where was Fuku? Where was.... everyone. With a sigh, he let his head fall down.

Now.... to add to all of this, was Mwana. Ex-Princess to the Mistweavers, a royal member, rival blood to his own, she wanted to be with him. She wanted to stay with him. Was this because he "abandoned" her? Why could she not cling to another? Why him? Was this what he got for helping her? Did he jump the gun into promising that he'd take her somewhere safe? What about those lions back there? That group of rogues? ...... that Firekin.... the fire.... the clogs of time are set into motion and his path was revealing itself... where was he going? Did he have to follow it or was he allowed to shift off track?

WIth another sigh, Trigger pulled himself from his thoughts and continued along the dirt path. His posture had rebuilt itself into a strong, powerful, proud male. Would anyone dare stand in his way? Thus far, the only ones he knew that were able to were his two brothers, Trig and that midget, Kinari. Kinari.... Terror is what he called himself. The name derived from the sight of terror before one's death. How could anyone seek pleasure in that emotion? That lion was surely insane. However, he must admit he did enjoy the times he was dominant.

As the Firekin pressed on, his verde eyes settled on a figure under an acacia. Sniff. Sniff. Sniff.

That scent.... soaked in blood, but that scent is still strong.

With a growl, he marched himself to the figure.

"What are you doing here?"

"Ah, you again. Once more a marking entrance, I see? "

The lion snorted. What was wrong with this.. Witer.. Wizzer.. Tizzer.. Triz. Trigger, yes, that was it. He moved his paw around in small cicules, having his bit of fun with the skull and moving its jaw a bit idly. Usually he and Gumu would use these to tease fradey lions.

He used his other paw now, flexing his large, sharp claws into it, craving in four deep lines and reforcing them once or twice across the skull, as if amusing himself with planning a design on it, twirling one claw around on its horns, compleetly unbothered by the lions half-agressive entrance. He was rather used to those.

"As for you're question, I am still a rogue. I go wherever I want. " He knew about Afu wanting a pride, but for now, that hadn't happened yet, any land fit under his paws. So long as it wasn't.. tiny. Because he did have big paws.

He carved some lines under the skulls eye cavities, and one above the nose, enjoying his little skull decoration, as annoying as the sound might be at some moments. He balanced it on his paw, showing it to the other. "Want some too? Its quite nice when you're bored out of your brains. "

Trigger sighed and plopped himself down nearby.

"The entrance was not for your pleasure, Ali or whatever your name is. We did not really get well introduced," he started out into the distance idly. Okay, one more shot at his name. "Ahali I think it was.... don't correct me if I am wrong."

Trigger was not entirely bored, his mind was running with problems and thoughts. He looked over at the other lion and at the bones that littered the ground around the area. It seemed like Ahali had caught himself a herd. At least he ate a lot. Trigger has starved himself for quite some time to feed Mwana, be as it may, he gave all the food to her because she needed to keep moving if they were to find a safe place to settle down, some place that would fit both their needs. A place of his own and a safe place for her. He needed to catch something, one will do to keep him going for another day, on the way back to Mwana.

He reached out with his hand and sighed.

"Give one here."

The lion held back a chuckle at the other, or he didn't, it sort of came out mixed with a huff, in quiet amusement. Why did he have a feeling he had gotten his name wrong on purpouse? Maybe he hadn't. But his obvious rudeness was prood that he didn't care about being whether he did or not get on Ahali's nerves.

"I only have one skull. I don't carry them around like some freaks you see here and there. " He said, but instead of laying it on his hand, tossed it carelessly in Trigger's direction, so that it landed a few feet away. But he indifferently pulled out a rib from his bones and flesh, licking the blood off of it then using his claws again, scribbling some careless lines across it, just enjoying his claws.

He got another, and did zigzag like patterns on it, soon tossing both ribs carelessly to a side, and looking around the bones, and realising he'd gathered a crowd on his trees, about twenty vultures awaiting their share on the leftovers, but not even half willing to try anything with these two large lions around.

"Hm. " He examined the birds, casually grabbed another rib, scribbling on it a bit more, then launching it up at the tree as well as a lion could. It wouldn't hit any vultures, but nonetheless, they clattered and scattered, bbut soon realised there was some meat on it, and one or two retrieved it, and soo there was a feathery war up there over who got that little scrap of meat.

"Pathetic. "

"You should not tease them too much... one day, those bird brains would be feating on your own flesh and those mangy hyenas would be taking the bones. Just got to make sure you stay alive as long as you can."

He spoke as he picked up the bone in his paw and looked over the clawed marks that Ahali imprinted into it. Random markings and randomly placed. Was he actually trying to do something or what? Trigger sighed and held it into his maw, placing his digits into the right places to make it talk.

-Sometimes I wonder if there is a point of all of this-, the skull motioned, Trigger talking for it in a different tone than his usual. -Birds I mean, they just sit there and watch us. Like those up there-, the skull moved and made it look up into the tree. -Should we scare them off?-

"Nah, just leave them. They have their purpose and we have our own. Right, Ahali?"

With a single twitch of his wrist and paw, the skull cracked under his might, catching himself before it broke. The skull was from a kill that this lion made thus making it his. Scoffing quietly, he threw it back at him.

"I hate Firekins..... they have no purpose anymore.... makes you want to destroy them, huh? Being of their own blood, leaving their lands, also hating their blood? What do you think?"

His bass tone was without much emotion, a serious question as he continued to stare out into the savanna.

What was wrong with this lion? Ahaali had been moving the mouth but.. talking to himself was just.. egh! He only did that a few times to have his odd fun with Gumu. But when Gumu was around.. it was so silly.

"And while I'm alive, I shal ltease them all I want. They should just live with it. " He rolled his eyes and stretched. He yawned, then stared at the skull at his paw, flicking his tail idly and standing up, stepping on the skull like he would on the ground, and it simply cracked open under him. This was his mere weight, how lame was the skull now. He must have gotten a pretty weak bufallo. How upsetting.

"Hm. Firekin. " He shrugged. "Their fools. Never did anything against me, I just never liked them. Dumb, idiotic, selfish.. Well, selfish I might be at times. They don't think. Just all the same, brawn no brain. " He chuckled. "I'm of the blood, no royalty in it. Born to a couple of braindead buffoons, and an idiotic brother, whom I'm glad I got quickly rid of. " He still remembered his brothers death quite vividly.. and it made him happy. He'd hated that fool. His mother had been half okay.. just desperate. "I mean take my father. Idiot thought he was so great to run right into a pride and grab a cub. How brilliant, what with all the parents, and nannies, and others around. " The lion talked with a biting sarcasm in his voice, flicking his tail once, then trotting in some random direction, the tail having been an indication that trigger could follow if he liked.

This lion was not a whole firekin, though. He had brown, and no firekin would have bred that, as far as he knew. Half slave, would make his hate more logical. Perhaps a parent had been a slave, likely a mother, a male could easily get onto and impregnate. Lionesses wouldn't normally chose to get pregnant by a slave, oh no. Too embarrassing. But the other way around... might happen with more frequency.

Trigger shook his head and rose to his feet and followed up behind him, then coming along side him. He took a glance over to the other male. Ahali was taller, maybe a half an inch or an inch, didn't really matter much to him. Firekin he was, pure perhaps while he himself was only half but was dominantly Firekin.

"You are right. They should have been wiped out with the plague then things would not be like this. All of those filthy bastards would disappear from the face of our land and we free to be our own and not... "Firekin"," Trigger yawned and sighed. "I was born a slave, my b*****d of an old man was a border patrol and my mother was traded as a slave. He said he would never pass on his line, didn't want to. Apparently, that wasn't true. No damn male of those kind could resist their primal urges and thus, what you see before you was born."

One could tell that his hatred for the Firekin burned deep, but no one knew how deep it burned down into. His blood boiled constantly at the smallest irritation making him a ticking bomb ready to explode. Once in, as Kianri once called it, Firekin Mode, everyone was a target, everyone was indifferent. Friend or foe, they were likely to be hurt or worse.

"And now I got this female hanging off me. Lets just say I got a lot of problems and they aren't helping me keep myself calmed."

Oddly, the tone he gave was his usual bass but it felt... dangerous.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 13, 2007 7:42 pm

There was no need to reply to the little bit of history this one gave him. It was quite an un unentertaining story, just a bit tragic, if anything. The part of a female amused him slightly, and he twiched his tail, noting the tone of the lions voice.

"Female.. " He snorted, suddenly thinking about Afu. She too had started to hang around him.. But the catch was.. he sort of liked it. She was smart, and he could sometimes maintain a fuun conversation with her, actually pretty often, even if sometimes it was nonsense, maybe even taunting. He had a feeling she was starting to change him, if a bit.. and he didn't really mind.

"That makes two. I don't have problems of staying calm, however. " He had once been more aggressive, less intellient. How much had he learned? Crap, sometimes he felt old, even if that was far from the case. He was huge, but it hadn't been easy to reach, even with a bloodline to back him up. He'd done alot to get to this point, in which he was so large and bulky that he could be found larger than normal firekin, who mostly sat around in their little desert having slaves do all the work. At least, that's how it had been when he left.

"I guess that would make sense. Female with a male. You got that.... Afu, right?"

He remember how he met Mwana, struggling to hunt for her sisters as they lazed around up wherever they settled down. To him, it was a form of slavery, making a sister hunt as they do absolutely nothing. The condition they were living in were horrid, having to wander from place to place, he idiotically offered to take her away to some place safe. He knew now that that wasn't the best idea he could have had. She was almost as lazy as her sisters, could hardly travel more than a days walk, she'd get tired, they'd find a tree to rest under, he would go out and bring back food for her and her alone, she'd eat only a part of it as they left it for the scavengers, they'd rest to start the process again in the morning. Trigger did not eat because he gave the food to Mwana, meant for Mwana and not for himself. The two got to talk sometimes but whenever he tried to bring up something, she would just hardly listen unless it was something she wanted to hear. The vibe he got from her was the high maintenance sort, always getting what she wanted and just.... being a pain in his mind.

"I have to stay calm. At least.... when I am around her," he sighed and kept on walking. "I am still a Firekin by blood and it's cursed genes run through me as it does you. We both abandoned them, right? But do you still see yourself as a "Firekin", Ahali?"

Trigger had the dead end life, born into the life of slavery. Dumiku did not intend to have a son, maybe a daughter or no child at all, but he was born through an accident. That is if you want to call it that. Mother slaved for him, he was put into daily, vigorous training, and the meerkat that appeared from time to time. Trained everyday and punished for even the slightest mistake, hardly ate much at all, and hardly saw his mother. Everything just went further down hill when his mother was killed. Perhaps that was when his Firekin influence became a part of him. He was strong because of his father. He was the size of a Firekin because of his father, a little taller perhaps. He had an uncontrolled temper because of his father. With a snarl, he glared at Ahali.

PostPosted: Sat Apr 14, 2007 9:28 am

"Yes. " He huffed, thinking about her some more. He met her in a rain, and they'd sticked together.. That had been unnexpected. She had turned out to be a much better company than he thought she might have been, as he hadn't even thought she might have been company at all.

"I am still a firekin, its what I am, and I'm not to blame. I'm not with the pride, but thats my blood, and I cnan't just have that redone. " Heck, not like he was complaining. He sort of liked being a firekin; the fur color was great, red. He ignored the snarl, or at least seemed to. The massive lion was noting things mentally, the body language, the sound of Trigger's voice.

He might have wanted to spar, but this lion seemed way too boring now. Too serious. Too spitefull. Ahali did these things because he liked it, he didn't worry about anyone else. Or at least he thought he didn't.

"You just have to relax. You hold it all up too tight, take everything so seriously. " The lion shrugged, watching a bird repeatedly fly, then land feet away, in the same process, always moving whenever they got close, as if it didn't know of the existance of "left and right", and that it just kept remaining infront of them.

"I think you could use a female, so keep her around. " Yes, perhaps a female could loosen this fool up. But the other lion was already boring him, and he already wanted to go find Afu again. How much longer would he have to stand this idiot?

"are you serious? That girl doesn't know when to settle for anything that isn't what she wants. I swear, tell her anything and she would out right ignore it. But say something she wants to hear, she'd jump at it with all of her attention," Trigger smirked. "Think we can trade females? Mwana for Afu?"

He laughed a bit. He had a feeling that if he did that, Mwana would yell and scream and kick and whine. It was how she was, he suppose, but something about her seemed somewhat attactive. Maybe it was because he was male and she female. He had liked her, that was until she dropped that egg on him which started their seperation.

"Ah, forget I said anything. Anyways, what have you and Afu been up to since the fire? Heard anything from those others that were around?"

His eyes looked over at him with a sort of cocky expression. He seemed so high and mighty.... perhaps he could knock him down a peg or two. Trigger scoffed. Lets see how this mighty Firekin takes this conversation.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 14, 2007 9:57 am

If Trigger was wanting some flusered reaction, it was treated with easy indifference. "Nothing. Just hunting. " He shrugged. They didn't do much for a living worth talking about. Random arguements, hunting, and sleeping was mostly what they did. She did leavee it obvious she wanted a pride quite often.

He swished his tail in quiet annoyance, watching the dumb bird, then suddenly lauching after it, chasing it for a while untill finally it got a hint and flapped its wings noisly, making an escape to the sky, circuling once or twice before shooting off.

"Idiot. " He snorted, watching it go, balancing on hiis hind paws for a moment then continuing to walk.

"Ahali, do you know any good, "stable" place for a female where I can dump this girl off at? She goes on and on about wanting a place that is stable and safe. I've been trying to find a place like that so I could leave her there where she is safe."

Safe... as soon as he got rid of her, she would then be safe. If she was always around him then she would be in constant threat. He had to find a place for her, if it was possible, he would ask Ahali to take her with him. At least he had better control of his temper. But then she would yell at him for leaving her again. Why must she make everything difficult for him? Why didn't she just follow him all the time? Sometimes he thought about taking her back to her sisters, but then she would be back to her normal life style again.

"Right now, above all things, she is important. What happens to her, I mean. I guess she is my main source of stress above anything else. However, I promised I'd take her some place safe but there is absolutely no place that is safe and "stable" for her."

With another sigh, he glanced over at Ahali. Perhaps, he should ask him to take her off his paws..... at least for a little while.
