Azra just spoke to a god...an actually god. Wings, and all. It startled her immensly, to meet a god. Azra wanted to meet him again, at whatever cost. If she could not find someone for her by her heat, then she will go to him since Gods cannot reproduce....right?
Azra surged over the lands in search of her one and only friend, Leboya. The wind brush past her as she raced over the savannah, dodging rocks, trees, and other animals. Leboya had to be somewhere, a smile masked her face in excitement with news. She met a God!

News that would startle the lioness immensely, even though she herself had met a goddess a while back. Not that she would KNOW that the being she'd met was such, being as the goddess had hid her identity by hiding her wings.
Leboya, luckily, was not a hard lioness to find, as she sat perched up on a rock, sighing and enjoying the nice breeze that blew through the grass that day, wrapping her tail about her toes to keep them warm. An odd quirk, her dislike of having cold toes.
However, it didn't take much for Leboya to notice the other brightly colored lioness, bounding through the grass, and for a moment, she thought that she was running FROM something.
"Azra!" she greeted, rising up to her feet.
"What brings you running through the savannah at such speed?"

"Lebby, you would never believe what I saw today!" she called. Actually, this would the second high diety she had met. There was a lioness she met before that acted strange, noble in fact. Something about her was odd, the way the lioness acted was similar to the god she met. "I met a God! He had wings and everything. Actually, he was rather cute." she chuckled at the last bit and sat herself down, her chest rising and falling.
"He was big and white, his wings were so big, and hehad this strange marks on him too." She spoke, gesturing the size with her paws and pointed to her back when she mentioned the marks. "And had this strange thing over his eyes." Azra heaved a sigh and finally breathed. "A god..."

Leboya stared as the words started to pour out of her friend's mouth at five million miles per hour, nodding every now and then as she attempted to keep up with the gleeful words that came from her, smiling a bit.
"Sounds like it was quite a meeting. Did you happen to catch this god's name, Azra?" she inquired, crawling down to sit in the grass with the other lioness, a rather.. interesting mental image forming in her mind as she peiced together the estatic image that was layed out so excitedly for her.
Hmmm.... thingy over his eyes, markings on his back...
"... I don't think I've ever heard of the god you're trying to tell me about, though....." Hmm... perhaps a younger god then.

"No I didn't..." Now she felt stupid. To talk so highly of the male and yet not get his name. Right now, Azra was kicking herself. "I kept calling him "M'lord" and whenever I did he would just shake his head. What else would you call such a being?" she chimed. Only with Leboya did she act like this, act like a cub.
"Hey, Lebby, in a few weeks I might go into heat, do you think I can find a male by then?" she asked, an out of the blue question. Her chest still heaved as her heart raced in excitement.

Leboya laughed a bit, figuring that it would be a sort of predicament to not catch one's name when their presence made your heart race. She herself had done that before, and now.. well.. she'd never been able to find that being again.
Her expression seemed to flash a bit of 'huh?' for a moment as Azra chimed her question out of the blue, before Leboya smiled and nodded. "That's plenty of time for you, m'dear.. just don't rush anything, and it'll turn out fine, see?" she explained, before sighing slightly.
She'd totally forgotten about going into heat. That would -probably- cause a problem if she were out wandering.

"What if there are males out there who will use me." she pondered, she didn't want that. She had to stay away from every male out there if she did not find the mate by then. She had to find a place where she was vulnerable. What if she found that God again and stuck with him, nothing could possibly go wrong!
"What about you, Lebby, you will be going into heat soon too, what will you do?" Azra asked, staring up at her with her violet eyes. "If I remember correctly, you said that you would mate, start a family, and settle down somewhere, remember?" Azra was extremely active with Leboya around, quetions and answers flooded from her maw as time passed.

Leboya frowned a bit and nodded. "Yes.. males will do that to you.... use you if you're too trusting, I mean.." the concept made the lioness frown a bit. No, she didn't want to be used either (no matter the fact that most likely, that -was- probably going to happen to her).
"Me?" she replied, turning a paw towards herself, thinking a bit. What -about- herself? Was she going to hide? Or find herself a mate? Or.. hmm...
"At this point in time.. I don't know.. I know I said I'd like to settle down with a family.. but at the rate I'm going, I'm not sure it's exactly going to happen very soon. If it does, it does. If not, I'm not going to push it, and will just stay somewhere out on my own..."

The orange lioness smiled, "That is what I wanted to hear. You are so wise, Lebby." She complimented. Azra was going to hide in fear however, she wasn't as courageous as Leboya was. She clung to her little knowledge of the Gods and Goddesses, they could not reproduce. She heard it from a strange bird before, she was gullible and it sort of clung to her memory. Besides nothing would ever happen with a God and Mortal, it was so different. Then again, that God was rather cute...and nice, kind, caring, and cute.
"Leboya, we still have that promise right? Once day we will see each other and our families?" she wondered, looking up to her. Now, Leboya was a friend and now an idol.

Leboya laughed a bit at being called 'wise', and rested one paw over Azra's in a friend-affection way. "Ah, I'm not 'wise', persay.. but I've experienced the world.. and y'know.. there's a general shock when you're barely and adult, and you're getting funny looks from every male you pass by." She nodded a bit.
"But I'm sure all will work out for you. And you can always hide behind me or you're new god-friend too~"
Promise?
Leboya's brain drew a blank, before her friend went into details on which promise she was talking about. Oh yeah!
"Yeah. We still have that promise. In fact, when my children are old enough, I'll make a point to bring them back here so they can meet you." she chimed, grinning.

"Yes, my god friend. I guess if I even find him I can hide with him for a while and hope that he protects me from teh flaunting males out there." she giggled but that giggle faded when she heard what else her friend had to say to her.
Back? Did she just say "Bring them back?" Azra glanced at her, "Lebby, what do you mean, "Back here so they can meet you?" she asked not quite sure what she meant. Was she going somewhere? Azra grew concerned.

Seeing the other lioness laugh so brought a certain degree of mirth to Leboya. "Ah yes, unless he decides to be a flashy-male himself.." she joked, then laughed.
However, it seemed as though her moment of amusement would die soon. When the questioning came on, Leboya's expression went serious. "I'm a rogue, Azra... I'm not meant to stay anywhere for too long." Not meant to stay anywhere long?
Don't you mean you -won't- stay anywhere for long?
"I've truely enjoyed the time I've been staying here, though....." But.. was she meant to stay there? Could she bring herself to settle down just yet?

"It's alright, I understand. You and I both are rogues, destined to wander until we finally settle. I wish you the best of luck with your mate if you find one." she spoke, smiling through her sorrow. At least she will be happy if she can do as she pleases, who was Azra to tell her what to do. She too had to find a mate and the time to do so was nearing. "Lebby, I wish you find a wonderful male taht will care for you." she purred.

Leboya forced herself to smile. She was making the thought of leaving seem to sad, and more and more she was starting to wish that she -wasn't- leaving to go find her niche in the world. Perhaps this was the same feeling that parents felt when their children left them to go out into the world...
It.. was almost an empty hollow feeling, where you try to look happy, so they won't feel bad.
"I wish the same for you, Azra. You deserve it more then I do." she chimed in replied, rising up, and rubbing her head against the other lioness's shoulder, purring a bit.

"Thank you." she replied, nuzzling her back. "I should get going, only a few weeks left and I am nowhere close to finding a mate." Azra laughed and got to her feet. Stretching her back, she smiled at the lioness. "Until we meet again, Lebby." with that she ran off again, racing across the Pride Lands.
Perhaps I should go find that God's name...
