Wahabu was having a slow day, and was looking for something to do. In hopes of finding one of his friends, he headed towards the central Pridelands. Maybe he'd find Kubwa, or Inari.. though he had no new information god-wise for them. He did need to apologize to Kubwa though. Even if he didn't run into them, he was bound to find someone!
He'd not been right up to Pride Rock in a while, so he decided that was where he would go. It was a fine day out, hopefully he wouldn't interupt anyone but he figured that would be the best place to explore. He wasn't sure where any of his friends stayed, and this was a good place to start looking. Humming tunelessly to himself, he picked up the pace a bit.

Trig rested at the mouth of the cave, well more to the side of. Just having spoken to Sarabi, he had waited there for Kami, the Queen of the Pride Lands. He needed to find out what his father has been up to. Surely someone had to know about someone like him. He helped everyone, no matter who. Trig had taken that own job upon himself and made a life out of it. With a sigh, the large lion looked about as a tune of a hum came up from the rocky path.
First his ears perked up, then his teal eyes moved to where the path and the promontary met. What was coming up? Was it the Queen? The King? He lifted his head from his paws and looked about. A mane, a male lion.
"Hello?"
He called out. He tried to be as polite as he could and smiled.

Wahabu was surprised to hear a voice call out, he assumed, to him. He paused a moment before jogging up the path, where he found a strange lion of familiar colors in front of a cave. He tilted his head a bit and offered a smile.
"Hello," he greeted him and then introduced himself politely, "I'm Wahabu, who're you?"

"Well, at least you have manners little one....er, forgive me. I didn't mean anything by that." He gave a nervious chuckle as he just called the other male 'little' but however, he was not entirely, in fact Trig was just very large. "Name's Trig."
With a dip of his head, he raised to his hunches, having his paws laced before him, his tail over his paws. Was he a Pride Lander? Maybe he knew where everyone was. Mabye he knew something about his father. With a smile, he nodded his head to pus him to think.
"Well, Wahabu, do you know where the Queen is? Kami?"
It was an innocent question.
"I am wanting to ask her something about my father. Perhaps she knows about him. Been waiting all day here waiting for her, wanting to talk to her."

Wahabu hadn't noticed how large Trig was until he commented, and then sat up. This lion was really big, and it was clear the adolescent was awed by it.
"Nice to meet you, Trig," he added politely, and then shook his head, "I've never met the Queen, but she's usually somewhere around here isn't she?" The young lion took a look around curiously, wondering if she was in fact somewhere right nearby. He looked back to Trig at the mention of his father, tilting his head.
"What would she know about your father that you don't?" he asked, "I bet I know more about mine than her.." His words faded as he finished his statement. He didn't mean to sound rude about it, but he thought he knew his parents well.

"Well, my father and I seperated so I can come here to talk to someone. However, knowing my father, he's most likely in some sort of trouble. I assumed the Queen might know something.
Trig got to his feet and looked around. He knew that Sarabi was inside and she was weak. He did not want to disturb her and their talking would probably wake her. With a smile, he motioned to the other male to head down. Trig brushed past him and headed down. The large male made himself comfortable under the shade of the promontary and seated himself down.
"What do you mean you know more about him than her anyways, Wahabu? Are you saying you know my father?"
He called up to him. His eyes remained on the dirt path that connected the pathway to the promontary, waiting for the adolescent lion to come down for him to let the old lioness to rest.

"O-oh," he murmured, wondering what could make a parent separate from their child. He hoped that his father never had to do that- but then, he couldn't imagine his baba getting into any trouble. He wouldn't know where to go if he thought something had happened, though.
"I- I meant my dad," he stammered, and followed after Trig- though he didn't sit down. He felt short enough without sitting down while they spoke, "B-but- you look kinda familiar. Maybe I've seen you or him before?" Wahabu was taking a leap here, for he knew not all children resembled their fathers- he certianly looked very little like his own, but he looked like his mother. Not to mention Trig was a typical color seen in the Pridelands, at least in some families.. He just couldn't figure out why he looked familiar.

"Well, my Dad says that I look like him, same color mane and fur and that. But the only thing that I had from my mother were these...."
Trig smiled and laid down, lifting a paw. The tan marking marked off his paws like gloves on a hand. This was what he had of his mother, that and her thoughts and love. His blood ran with her genes as her son. With a chuckle, he looked up at the other male.
"My father said that he didn't want me around because he couldn't.... well.... get any "fun" with someone like to compete with. For attention, that is. Well, that was what he said anyways..."
Shadow by shadow, darkness as his veil. Kinari moved toward Pride Rock seeking the one named Na'be. Where was he. Who was he. What was he. The Son of War, War wanting his son dead, Terror being the weapon in War's grip. Kinari wanted to find this failure and spread his blood. Na-be. Must. Die.
The red eyes traced the movements behind a large boulder. A tail? A lion. Maybe he knew where Na-be was. He was here to kill Na-be, any attention to the pride of the territory would make too much of a ruckus and that would mean a trail of lions after him. He moved casually from his protective darkness and walked toward them. His head peeked in as he slowly settled down near the two.
"Hello there...."
His voice low and irritated. "Don't let me distract you."

"Do you and him come around here a lot?" he asked curiously, trying to figure out where he'd seen him before. Wahabu couldn't seem to put his paw on in, and it was one of those things that was hard to just ignore.
"Oh," Wahabu tilted his head at the mention of fun and attention, and then he was startled by the arrival of someone new. He was clearly startled to see this new stranger, and looked back at Trig.
"Friend of yours?" he asked almost without hesitation.

Both Trig and Kinari looked at each other for a moment, narrowing Teal against Crimson. Kinari gave a deep growl before both gave a scoff.
"Nope, never met him before," they both said simultameously. Each cocked a brow and looked at each other. "But he looks familiar from somewhere." again, simultameously.
The dark and much smaller male, just about Wahabu's height, shrugged and laid down. Casually taking a bang into his maw, he started to nibble it mostly to distract him and keep himself busy. He turned his head from the other males and just stared out to the savanna. Just a resting place for a while before he set out to find Na-be.
Trig looked at the other male and then back to Wahabu.
"Uh.... yeah, my Dad and I came around here a lot, wandering from place to place helping others. Can't do much just sitting in one single place, right? So we wandered around the other territories helping those that we came across. He's a bit bigger than you, sort of smaller than me. Looks like me with black lines around his paws like him," Trig points to Kinari's outstretched paw where there is a dark line above his marking. Turning back, "You know anything about my father? Tell me everything you know. Anything would help me."

Wahabu looked surprised when the two lions answered together that they looked familiar but had never met before. Not only was it really weird that they answered in unison, but it just didn't sound right to him. The dark lion looked familiar as well, and for some reason it just made sense to that both would be right here, right now, together.
"Are- are you sure?" he asked, sounding unsure about their answers. He looked mainly to Trig for an answer, since Trig seemed much friendlier and chattier. As he started to describe his father, he found it quite easy to imagine all the traits together. "It sounds familiar, it really does.." he said hestiantly, glancing back over at Kinari.

Kinari scoffed.
"Sounds like a damn pansy. A good-two-paws. Maybe you should stop wastin' your time here with clashy here and go find him. I'd be surprised if he's still alive."
Trig growled, something that was rather rare, got to his feet and glared at the other male. He took great pride in his father, loved him a lot as he was his only parent that he had now that his mother was dead, confirmed by another lion named Trigger. With a snarl, he forced himself down and glanced back at Wahabu.
"Don't speak ill of my father, stranger."
Kinari moved his maw mockingly as Trig spoke, luckily, Trig could not see it. Trig scoffed again and looked to the local male.
"So do you know anything about my father?"

Wahabu stepped back a bit when Trig got up to growl at Kinari for insulting his father. With both lions in plain view together, it only strengthened his resolve that though they claimed to be strangers there was something about that that just wasn't how it seemed. By the time Trig turned back to ask, Wahabu's eyes had a glazed look as several images and names flew through his mind. They were random seeming, and the words didn't make any sense but it all was as familiar as the brothers before him.
Brothers.
He'd seen this in a dream before. That's why he recognized them.
It took him a moment to snap out of his trance, and he looked a bit startled by the sudden return of all of his senses and the stable images caused by true sight. It had never happened before, but he'd never tried to recall something like that before.

Trig narrowed his eyes, his expression softening. Something was wrong with Wahabu. Trig moved carefully and moved his paws around him as it to catch him if he had fallen. He was concerned, immediately, everything else was put aside as Wahabu became his entire focus.
"Wahabu? Sir? Are you alright?"
Trig called, his teal eyes looking with a concern and worry. What was wrong with this lion? Was he ill? Did the heat get to him? Curse this fur of theirs......
"Wahabu, please reply. Say something."
Kinari scoffed again.
"He's dead, just let him fall you idiot."

Wahabu was surprised to find Trig at his side and ready to help should he fall. He hadn't heard anything that was said, but he could see by the look on Kinari's face that he hadn't really been concerned about it.
"What happened?" he asked, sounding a bit stunned, "Did you see or hear any of that?"
It was a stretch, and he doubted it, but he had to be sure. He remembered a muddle of dreams he'd had, similar to the ones about his mother. He'd been told to pay attention to his dreams, and this seemed one of the times he should be paying attention.
