"Kohji, be careful, my mane is still a part of me you know."
Ger and Kohji had left earlier in the morning before the others woke up. Kohji was having bad dreams when Ger peeked in, since then Ger and the little cub had been walking around the den's area. The purple cub sat upon the older male's back, paws gripping onto his mane as the lion walked about in a slight trot.
"I know, but you are going too fast."
Kohji whined, nuzzling into his brother. Ger smirked and looked back with teal eyes. He wasn't going fast, to him this was a slow walk. If he wanted fast...he'd give him fast. The Pride Lander dug his paws into the dirt and pushed forward, his body lunging forward with each step. Kohji yelped and held on tighter.
"Brother! Brother! Brother! Stop! You're going too fast!"
Ger chuckled, slowing down to a slow trot again and moved back to where Ger had been sleeping for the past weeks. Since the cubs were born, the den got a bit more crowded and he didn't do well in those sort of things. He made himself a spot under a tree just a few yards from the family's den, it was a nice little spot and it was quite comfortable sleeping under the stars.
Ger smiled and let the cub hop off his back, watching him lie down in Ger's spot. He smirked and curled around the little one, grooming his fur. The usual day for the two, play and clean.
The leopon purred nuzzling against his brother's broad chest as his fur was licked over.

Inoa was frantic.
He was running around the area outside of the den, a rock in his mouth, searching hard for someone else to show his discovery to. Finally, after running past Ger and Kohji once or twice, he actually saw them. His ears shot forward and he grinned (as well as one could with a rock in their mouth). "Look!" He tried to shout, though it came out more like 'ryuck!' He didn't seem to notice that he sounded strange, all he cared about was showing his brothers how neat this was! He ran over to them and dropped the rock, then sat down and grinned, waiting to see their impressed reactions.
In Inoa's mind, this was probably the greatest thing ever.

Kohji turned to Ger with a blank, confused look. Ger stared back with the same expression. They were both equally baffled by what their brother was trying to show them. They simultaneously turned to Inoa, quirked a brow, opened their maw and closed it.
"Um....It's a rock."
They replied lamely. They didn't see anything important in it, it was just a rock, they were everywhere. Ger knew exactly where each one was, near the imprints of his face since he always trips over them. Graceful, no? In truth, Ger had a bad habit of tripping over things like that. Don't call it bad luck because it got him out of many sticky situations.
Ger smiled and pulled the other brother to him.
"So, Inoa, where did you find this incredible rock?"
He asked, he might as well play along with it, Inoa seemed to enjoy it.
"Ger, it's just a rock."
THe adolescent ignored him and pushed him down with a paw, focusing on Inoa, smiling.

"It's not just any rock!" He said, his ton all but dripping with excitment. "It talked! I know it did, I heard it!" He jumped from Ger's grasp to reenact exactly what happened.
"I had just left the den and began walking around the entrance," he walked in place, "when I noticed what a nice day it was outside! 'Why Inoa,' I said to myself, 'it most certainly is a fantastic day!' And then this rock agreed with me! I was so excited that I had to show someone! So I picked it up and ran around and around," he ran in circles, "until I found you guys! And then I set the rock down and started telling you my story!" He dropped to the ground and started to pant. Telling exciting stories like that sure took a lot of air.

Kohji murred and pulled himself from under the lion's paw staring at his brother. What was he babbling about? A talking rock? It was official, Inoa'po was C-R-A-Z-Y. Or at least a psychopath.
"Inoa...you are a bit off, aren't you."
Ger pushed him aside again with his paw and smiled to Inoa. He sure had the imagination that was for sure. He remembered when he had that very imagination this one had. Sure it may not have been that far-fetched and as hyper....but it was still one nevertheless.
"That sounds interesting, Inoa. So, what is it telling you now? Anything interesting? Like what it has saw?"
Ger smiled and purred a bit. He was actually getting into this, Inoa's imagination must've been infective.

Off? Off what? He didn't think he was off anything.. In fact, Inoa felt he was quite on. He was about to tell Kohji that when Ger asked him something.
"Oh! I wasn't paying any attention to it. It must be pretty cross since I was ignoring it.." He pressed himself as low to the ground as possible and put an ear up to the rock.
"I was right. It said a few angry things at me that I'm not sure I should repeat. But I think it's willing to forgive me.." He continued to 'listen,' nodding a few times. "Okay. It wants me to send it on a vacation!" He sat up and pointed off into the distance. "Waaaaaaay over there!"

Ger perked and got up. That is pretty far...away. He turned down and picked up Kohji onto his back. This was gonna be interesting, Inoa had quite the mind, and Ger was actually intrigued by it.
"Alright, let's give this rock the vacation it wants. Kohji, say a word and I am leaving you home."
He said, smiling to Inoa not bothering to turn back to the other. He knew the cub was gonna make a smart remark so it was best for Ger to interject before he was able to.
"So, Rock, where is this place. Would you like to give the directions?"
He spoke playfully pretending that the rock could actually hear his words and eventually give a response. For a split second...he was actually waiting for that response.

Inoa sat right up again and began to bounce up and down. This day just kept getting better! He picked the rock up and sat it on his head. "The rock says that it has family over there and wants to visit them."
Inoa's imagination was so vast that he actually felt like he did hear the rock speaking to him. "It said this place is just straight on that way. Says you can't miss it." He pointed off in the distance again.

Ger smiled and started to walk. This was actually getting amusing, well to him anyways. Ger perked his ears and turned his eyes back to Kohji.
"You alright up there?"
No reply. Ger paused and turned his head back. Kohji had fallen asleep on his back. That made it a bit more difficult to move around having a cub upon his back, worse was trying not to wake him. The lion smiled and continued on.
"So Rock wishes to see his family? Ger would like to see its family again. They must be very nice, don't you think, Inoa?"

Now, walking with a rock on one's head was proving difficult. Inoa was making sure to step extra carefully and keep his neck straight. He wouldn't want to lose his passenger!
"Oh yes, they must be very nice! And probably very calm as well. They get to do nothing but sit around and watch the world go by! That must be such a peaceful life.." He sighed, which almost made the rock fall off. "Kohji must be having a very calming ride, it looks like he fell alseep!"

"I suppose so, either that he got real comfy up there. Want a ride back?"
He offered playfully. Kohji was probably tired from their little game of horsey earlier. Either way, he was asleep and quiet. THe adolescent turned his head back to Inoa and smiled.
"Careful, don't wanna lose our escort before we even get there, right? That life may seem nice, but I prefer to be able to wander around, run to places I have never been to. See things I have never seen before...it's just so exciting you know?"

"We'll see how I feel after we get there. I don't want to agree to a ride back now and end up not actually wanting one later!" Inoa had a firm belief that you should always do what you say you will. Always.
Ger was right, how rude would it be if he just dropped the rock right now, if it fell off his head, just like that! Terrible. He reached up to make sure the rock was nestled right in the middle of the ever growing tufts of fur on his head. At least he wouldn't have to worry about this on the way back.
"I think a perfect life would be a mix of travelling and just lounging around and watching the day go by.."

Ger chuckled a bit, that was actually rather funny. Do what you say you will, was that like how Ger is? He and his promises? Do what he said he would. He said he would be there for Trina, get Ez to open to him and to be with Kujack. He wasn't doing what he said he was....
"I guess you're right, Inoa. Everyone should should do what they say they would, otherwise, they would be going back against their word, right?"
He smiled from the corner of his maw as he kept his eyes set forward as they continued on. He had a feeling that the three were gonna get into some sort of trouble since Kohji AND Inoa were decently far from the den. Even with Ger, they should not be this far. Ger told himself that this would be the last time that he would ever take them this far from the den ever again. He'd take the blame for these two since he was the oldest and the one responsible for him. With a deep sigh, he turned to Inoa.
"Sounds interesting, but rather dull. I prefer the life I live and that of another. You won't understand it, but maybe you will some day. Anyways, are we there yet?"

Inoa nodded, completely unaware of the thoughts running through his older brother's head. "Right! And just think of how crazy the world would be if everyone just went back on their words! You wouldn't know who to believe and who not to.."
He frowned and looked ahead. Dull? Dull in what way? Hmm.. He continued to think about this, until Ger's voice snapped him out of his thoughts again. "Oh!" He wasn't even paying attention!
"Yes! There it is!" He pointed ahead to some rocks sitting on the ground a few feet away. "See, that's his family!"

Ger looked a head and moved over to them, running ahead of Inoa. He paused and looked down at the little rock pile. Quickly he had to think of something to come and go along with Inoa's imagination. But what? Best to improvise.
"Hey Inoa! I think I see a sister here! Come look!"
He called back with a chuckle. Who knows, there probably was one. Strangely, he sort of believed that there was one. Maybe Inoa's imagination and playful nature was quite contagious. Strange, he did not mind it.
Looking down again he felt like there was a brother too.
"Hey Inoa, hurry up!"
