Burning, Blazing over the savanna, the morning sun peeked over the horizon. The grassy lands grew a hue of red and orange giving the feel of warm under the golden lion's body. He had awoke in the early hours of the night from another dream. After speaking to Ez, he had been quite calm about them and gotten more sleep than before, but when the face of his mother came to mind he'd quickly awaken knowing he had disappointed her for leaving the Pride Lands for so long. He had to return someday, if only he could build the courage to ask his father.
Tuckered from running after a lone zebra, he started to walk rather run after it. The wounds he had placed in its legs should slow it down to a bleeding halt if not then he could catch up a bit. He let out a roaring yawn before picking the pace to a slight jog. He had no idea where he was at all, he often didn't when running after a hunt. He knew that many of times a run-a-way always took him to places he had never been to before bring back his old wanderlust from his cubhood. Oh how many times he got into trouble with that. To the Elephant Graveyard meeting Yakuti as a favor for Jamaa, meeting Tanaka the monster, and then taking Trina there. Then there was that time he wandered into the jungle and ran into a very odd cub. Kimaji if he could recall her name correctly. She was so weird...but that lake stood out clear in his mind. That lake.
It was not until he heard the frightened cry of the zebra until he noticed that he was already on top of it. Looking down he saw that it was struggling under him. Ger had grown a lot since last he saw that female. His body was a lot bigger from the many solo hunts, runs, and well....everything. He sort of disliked his new physique, but it had its advantages and he had grown to them. His mane was coming out now a little spot on his chest was starting to turn a light brown signaling that the rest will come short after.
Thinking about Kimaji, he just forgot about the hunt and moved from the zebra. Not long after it got up and ran away. Ger simply watched with a smile.

(( *shows off Kima smezzyness just because* 8D ))
Maybe out here there were bigger stuff, yeah. She had managed to catch many mice now, but she remembered her flight with Momo, there had been some blotches over these yellow-grassed lands. Whatever those were, maybe they were stuff she couldcatch and take to Swaii, he always seemed proud when she did these stuff, though.. He was probably bored of mice and the occasional bird by now.
Wich is why, once more, the lioness moved away from the forest, curiousto see if there were different stuff out here. There were definately mice here, too, she had come across a few. They were different, though. The funny thing is, despite the fact that she lived in a forest, for some reason, this place didn't seem as dry. Maybe it had to do with 'rain', or whateve Maji had called it.
Then, something out there moved. She was in some tall grass, and couldn't see well, so imagine how high and far the female jumped when something big and stripey shot passed her. Kimaji landed ungracefully on the ground, watching the zebra vanish through the grass, mouth agape, eyes wide.
She got up, halfway, and retraced the zebra's steps, crouched in case of more. Slowly, the tall grass died out, but her colors weren't very chamative, even if she was silver-gray on pale yellow.
What was out there?

Ger's ears perked when the zebra disappeared through the brush, the grass still moved. Looking around at the leaves of the acacia trees, the leaves of the tall grass, even the little blades on the ground. There wasn't much of a strong breeze to move the tall grass like that. What was that? Was there another hunter around? What territory was he exactly in anyways? Looking around more, he didn't see any land marks that he could recall. He could make out the faint tip of Pride Rock in the distance behind him, but that was it. Was he north of it? South? West or east? Where the bloody hell was he?
The male's head turned back to the grass. Whatever it was, if it planned to hunt him, then he would hunt it. Carefully, he jumped around and slowly moved toward the tall grass, his body low and his eyes narrowed. So far, no other hunter has beaten him to a game just yet, even as a juv, he beat a leopard to a giraffe once. He took it out after a good hour, but he did it.
Whatever was in this grass could not beat him....he hoped.
Ger moved step by step closer to the grass until his face was no more than 2 inches from the edge.

Somethingwasoutthere.
That was all shcould make out. Not that Kimaji was an agressive lioness, she was actually pretty sweet and friendly, but then.. What if it was one of those weird stripey things?! She contemplated making a run for it, but then she remembered Swaii..
He'd be so proud if she got one of those things, he'd definately be proud. She had to try, at least! Besides, it didn't look like it had sharp teeth, or claws.. but damn it had been big. Nonetheless, theyoung lioness stalked foreward.
She could.. sort-of see it. Maybe they had different colors, too. Sometimes mice had different colors, they couldn't be that different. If Kimaji was aware how well her pale pelt hid her, she'd probably be pretty proud.
Time to pounce now, then, like she did with mice. She stopped moving, bunching up her legs beneath her. It was bigger than mice, she'd probably have to jump higher, on mice she.. just had put her paws over it. This wouldn't fit in her paws.
So she jumped, but of course, not knowing that Ger wasn't a zebra, and that he was crouched, she probably just flew over his head and landed pathetically, either behind him or on his back.

Ger saw the flash of white jump from the shelter of the grass and blurred over head. It was a simple white blur, hard to see if he saw any black in there, was it a zebra? Either way, he was not gonna hesitate, hesitation got things killed. Quickly, Ger reversed and jumped at the prey. Snarling, he opened his maw and shot it down to the pure throat but stopped.
Pure white....? There was no zebra that had no stripes on their necks, no, they had it all over so.....
Picking up his head, he looked down at the object, his paws firmly planted all around it as his body stood over. His teal eyes followed up the chest as it moved up and down with pants, it was pure white. It was defiantly not a zebra, zebras would kick at him if he stood over and if they had a clear shot. He knew what it was like to be kicked by a zebra when it was in this situation. Given that it was a colt and didn't deal that much damage to him, it still hurt for days.
His eyes fell to the muzzle, a lion, a cheetah, a leopard, or whatever his siblings were. Moving up more he hit eye to eye with those pale grey eyes she remembered from so long ago.
His chest moved up and down from panting as his ears flicked and then perked. A soft smile came to his maw through his panting breath.
"Kimaji?"

"Aah! "
She squeaked, landing ungracefully, and then the whatever pounced her! It actually took a few moments for her to react, oblivious to this 'prey' having called her by the right name. She was pretty confused right now, owouldn't look for any distinguishing marks.
So her paws shot up, one probably hit Ger in the chin, clearly the young female wasn't used to being pinned down by food. After all, most of her 'food' was smaller than her paw. All of this was with sheathed claws, too caught up in confusion to bother trying to scratch this whatever thingy.
Fortunately, Kimaji wasn't weak, she spent too much time running around, pouncing and playing to be weak. She was also pretty well fed, so at least she might manage to get away.
But now the curiosity got over her. The whateverwas close now, she could get a good look, escape later. She stopped, unknowing if it had gotten off or not, and attempted to make out what it was.

"Gah!"
Ger cried out when one of her paws shot up to his chin. Of all times, his tongue was out to lick his nose. Yes, a dry nose does irritate and it was just at the wrong time and he chose the wrong time to lick it. He held it out and moved from Kimaji, sat down and tended to his tongue. His paws would not touch it as it would give him more pain and he looked ridiculous sitting there with his tongue lolled out like that. But it really hurt!
Taking it back in, he carefully rubbed his chin until his tongue started to hurt from the breaths inside.
"Ayeh"
He moaned as it lolled out again. His head tilted back to the female, his brown mane hanging over each side of his face, the cowlick he had always had in the air, curving slightly.
"'at 'as th't 'or?"
He asked the best he could through his maw. He could not really speak properly with it out like such. Ger pushed the pain away and pulled the organ back into his maw as he moved back over to her with a smile.

She probably would take time to investigate now that she was free, but like any cat just prisoned, she shot to her paws and crouched, hissing before knowing what she was doing. Again, it took a few seconds to react to the image of a gold-brown lion, tongue lolling out, mane ll funny looking.
But before anything, she giggled.
She forgot momentaraly what just happened, or to recognize this lion, but it looked so funny! Then he.. sort of asked something, and she blinked.
"Y-you were..!! " She gaped, hesitantly answering, remembering to be afraid. But now that she looked at him, and when he smiled, he looked familiar.. Yeahhh... She knew this one. She stared at him, backing away slowly, as if to avoid any other threat, especially with him closing in again. But..
"Fluffy! Ger! "

"Fluffy?"
Ger tilted his head a bit confused and amused at the same time. Where did she get fluffy from? Oh wait, he remembered her mentioning that word once when they were little. She said that her dad had a fluffy. And Ger sort of started calling Mufasa's mane fluffy too. Oh! She was taking about his mane.
Ger chuckled with a smile.
"Yeah! I'm fluffy!"
It had been some time since he had seen her, too long in fact. Ger sat down and continued to smile. Wow, it brought back so many memories. The river, the pieces of their conversation, and the great lake hidden inside the jungle. Wow, it had been so long ago since he had seen the playful cub. Wasn't it when she ventured too far from the center of the jungle that she got lost? If it was not for that, Ger would not have ever met her.
"I'm glad you remembered me, Kimmy."
His voice had changed a bit too. It still hinted that male tone, but it was stronger, softer, caring, and if not mistaken, a bit seductive and flirtatious.

"Kimaji told you you were gonna e fluffy! " She said triumphantly, sitting down and puffing out her chest. Her tail swished and curled around her paws, only to swerve away again behind her.
"Where did Ger go? Kimaji don't see Ger in a while! " Without much of a warning, she pounced at the yellow male, but instead, just landed next to him, trying to compare sizes. "Ger go bigger, and fluffy. Yeah. "

Ger smiled to her and nuzzled her softly.
"Well, I knew I would to, but I am glad you had faith in me, Kimaji."
He replied patting the top of his head as she compared sizes. He was a lot bigger than her, made him feel a bit more powerful and at the same time uneasy. With power came great responsibility and that he could not handle under his current situation.
"Well, Ger's been a bit busy lately, I got cubs to look after now. Don't get the wrong idea, they aren't mine, they are my father's. They just like to play on me is all and frankly I don't mind it at all. Cubs are so much fun when they want to play. But when they cry, you have to try to calm them and that usually ends up sleeping beside them which usually always works. Sorry I haven't been able to visit you, Kimmy. Are you mad at me?"
He asked. Lately, he had a stinking feelings that everyone he knew hated him since he just suddenly disappeared from their lives for many months with Kujack and his family. He felt guilty that he left them without a single good bye either. He had no idea what they were doing now, but he was glad he had spoken to Ez and now to Kimaji. At least, Ez didn't hate him.
"Ger is bigger and Kimmy is tiny!"
he shouted as he wrapped his paws around her and pulled her down to a hug.

Kimaji listened, ears perked as Ger talked, but her stupidity held her back from replying, and when she was going to--
She got squished again. There was a mufled squeak of sorts from the lioness, and she flailed her hind paws. "Gerletgonowkay? " She wheezed, attempting to push his paws away. He was too strooong. hough, goofly she gave up and just stayed there being 'hugged', or whatever it was called, tongue out, waiting to be released. D: (YesIhadtoputthefrownie xD)

Ger chuckled and nuzzled her again before letting go, sitting up again.
"I missed you a lot, Kimmy. How have you been? How's your dad? You doing well? Any cubs? Mate? Tell me!"
He said all in one breath with a slight goofy variation of his usual smile. He was so curious about her he wanted to get caught up with all the things that he had missed in the last four or five months. Ez has a family too, so what about Kim? Did she? Oh it was so interesting he wanted to know!
Ger chuckled again before carefully grooming his head with his paw. He made sure the mane bangs fell to the side and not obstruct his view.

Instead of stanting or sitting when freed, Kimaji merely slumped to the ground, contently laying there next to Ger. "Swaii is good a what? " She said quickly, trying to catch up with whatever he was saying.
"No cubs whassamateandwha? " He was confusing now! Maybe the hair got into his hear and madehim thing funny.

Ger chuckled and nuzzled again, lying behind her once more, his paw lightly draped over her. He was fine where he was. After all, he was still a free male until daybreak when the cubs would be expecting their 'playground' back to play with. Ger purred softly and licked the back of her head.
"Nothing, I suppose not. You aren't a mother yet then. Forget I asked. But how are you, Kim?"
He asked softly, resting his head lightly on the base of her neck, smiling too. He always had that soft, caring, seductive, charming and sweet smile, everything else was just a bit variate of it. If he was sad, he would smile. If he was happy, he would smile. It was only when he was angry he did not and that was rare unless he was hunting.
Looking down at the female he smiled again.
"Kimmy, you became very beautiful..."
