Slowly, the lioness walked the path that weaved all over the Pride Lands. Azra was now content now. If she went into heat before finding a suitable mate, she will go to Athrun for protection. She was so happy, AND she met an actual God! Azra hummed softly as she strut down the path. Now to spend her day carefree until she found what she was looking for. Though some thoughts have been clouding her mind, perhaps she can find someone to talk about it first, yeah that is what she will do.

Digging about and eating the occasional milipede, a little silvery gray and white ratel foraged about. Not one to have a solidly exclusive diet, she prefered to eat a variety of foods. Now and then, Jini'kali made a foray into bushes and snacked on a few berries. THe evidence of her eating a fruit from a tree was upon her fur as she continued to search about, eating well for her future. And it was a bright future for her, indeed. It made her heart swell with joy thinking about it. Pups, with Topas... She smiled as she finished off a small rodent.

Azra could smell the smell of berries and blood. Curious, she investigated. Sniffing around, something that felines don't normally do, came to a berry bush.
"'Ello?" she called, sitting down and purring. She wasn't even entirely sure if there was something even in there. Azra had changed a lot since she came to the Pride Lands. From a death-seeker to a liver. But that was far from her mind, right now was her thoughts of Athrun.

Poking out of the bush, the ratel sniffed about. Adjusting to the light outside the shade, she quickly found herself nose-to-nose with an orange lioness. Eyebrows raising, Jini waddled out. "Hi." She looked the lioness over, marveling at the brightness of her coat. "You must be new around here, you're oranger than the black-maned male in the pride up at the rock."

"The black maned males of Pride Rock?" Actually the two males she met so far had nothing close to black manes. Instantly, by her voice, this creature was a female. A wierd scent drifted past her muzzle making her snifle.
"Excuse me, but would you happen to be....." no....could she? "As you expecting little ones, miss?" she asked curious, laying her stomach to become an even level for the female and apparent, pregnant ratel.

A slight blush rose up upon the ratel's face as she looked away, smiling slightly. "Maybe..." After a moment, she looked up. "Why do ya ask?"

"Then that means that you have a male to love." she started, starting a long stream of questions."
"How did you two meet?"
"How did you know you loved them?"
"Did you ever consider that he was "the one"?"
"What he didn't like you and you secretly liked him, would you go for him?"
"What if he doesn't know you exist?"
"Would you come to him if you were left with no other choice?"
"What would you do if he left you?"
"What if he didn't love you, would you still love him anyways?"
The questions spewed from her maw like a river over a waterfall, her head was full of them, all of them revolving around on specific male that plagued her.

"Whoa, slow down there!" The honey badger reached up and put a paw on the lioness's mouth, stopping the flow of questions. "One at a time, okay? Too many at once can overwhelm a girl. Now... We met when I was tryin' to fix my den. He's pretty good with diggin', that Topas of mine." She smiled, remembering the day fondly.

"Well, you see my situation is that my heat is coming soon and I was hoping to find a good mate that can make difficult, life or death, decisions. And someone offered to protect me if I could not find one and if I came to him. He seemed nice. He was cute and handsome too, but I could not make it with him...." Azra started off euthusiastically and then it faded to a low voice trail off. "He would not want me..."

The ratel nodded, chuckling a bit. "Ah, I see. You're gettin' cold feet about it, aren't you? Look, don't worry about it. If he's meant for you, then he is." She gave the lioness a pat on the shoulder. "If you let your fears control your life, you may never get anywhere. Then again, my lil' brother, he let fear control HIS life, and I must say that of him and his twin, he was the one to come out reachin' adulthood... But with matters of love, it doens't do well to let the fear control you." She nodded, as if to solidify her advice.

"But what will happen if I can't find him if I go into heat? I will be vulnerable to any male who wants to...well....you know." she spoke, with a shaky voice this time. SHe was relying on Athrun to protect her through her heat, but what if something went wrong? "I am not afraid, I am just concerned about my future."

"Then keep him with you when you know it's gettin' near." Scratching at an itch, the ratel went back to nibbling berries. "Express your worries, find a safe place for you to be, and... You know, keep him there." She looked up, a smudge of berry on the diamond on her face.

Azra nodded and smiled, "Thank you, I should go back to him then." her eyes seemed distant as if she was thinking of him.
Then she laughed. "Here I am, getting advice from a female I do not know. If we happen to meet again, my name is Azraceri." she said before getting up and heading off back to the male. "Good-bye, Mate of Topas."

The ratel nodded, waving to the lioness. "No problem. And the name's Jini'kali. See ya 'round, Azraceri." With a slight grunt, she went back to foraging, finding various bugs and rodents to dine on.
