Isi yawned slightly, plodding through scattered bones and dirt. The lioness seemed oblvious to these morbid signs. She looked back to her young charge [though she may have been the charge herself] and smiled. "Almost there, I think!" And it was true. If one were to squint, they could make out pride rock, it's majestic point outlined by shadow. They just had to make their way through this... boneyard.
Oh, now she noticed them. Kicking a little rabbit skull with her front paw, she grinned, kicking it ahead of her every step or two. What an interesting place this was! Lots of bones, but it smelled disgusting. Isi wrinkled her nose, the blue feather sticking out of her hair wilting slightly.

"Are you sure?," asked Zuri suspiciously. The lands around her seemed dull and gloomy, decorated with bones. The entire atmosphere was eerie and terrifying at best, certainly not a place Zuri imagined to be close to her home. Yet, there was a certain familiarity to the lands, she felt that she had been there before as a young cub. If only she were able to recollect the specifics of her last visit here. "This place is kinda creepy."
Hopefully this would all be over soon. Zuri felt her long adventure coming to an end. It would not be long before she found happiness with her family. Visions of Nuku and Churo flashed through her mind, almost brightening the dark surroundings.

Shira stormed around the pack's territory, the Elephant Graveyard, her son close by her side. Both seemed to wear the same expression and posture; strong, brave, bold, and... arrogant. The female held her head high as her azure eyes glanced down to his son, who was focused on the things straight ahead of him, smiling. He will grow up to be a strong one... a good member to this back, one to make everyone proud.
Ophos walked on, his paws moving swiftly to stay up to par with his mother's pace. He had gone on many of her patrols and his father's too. Lately, he had been wanting to get out of there more and more. Luckily, he would be able to go out and see Zeki soon, perhaps tomorrow. Flicking his ear, he sighed.
"Mother, must you keep doing that?"
"Doing what? I am not doing anything," she replied, her deep voice booming down on his ears.
"Smiling... it's not like you and you aren't growling or breathing heavy. It's weird," he replied.
"That is because I am proud to have this family. The family that I created,"
"Mother, you and Dad 'created' it. Not just you, remember? Otherwise the word 'father' would not be a word at all,"
"Are you being smart with me, boy? Are you talking back to me? How dar-" she paused, her tail twitched and her nose wiggled. A scent? Ophos had already caught it too, his eyes twitched, narrowing at the surroundings. Intruders. "Ophos... you know what to do."
Ophos smirked. "Don't have to tell me twice. Let's make this one to remember and boast about later." With that, he disappeared into the bone mounds and she herself laid down in a hollowed skull, grinning in the shadows.
"Come... come... play with us and make it fun..."

The dark lioness bobbed her head up and down. "Sure as sure!" Isi blinked, as if clearing out her eyes, and suddenly saw where they were. "Oh..." It /was/ pretty creepy. Stepping over the skull, her fur bristled. "It is sorta scary, in't it? We should hurry up, I think." Grey shadows seemed to lurk, and the humid air suddenly seemed a little cooler.
The Pridelands couldn't be so bad, after this, right? She had had a good time when she was there, and there was plenty of food and water. Maybe she could join the pride, as she had so often considered before. Her ear twitched slightly, picking up some muttered voices, but Isi quickly dismissed it as her imagination.

"Yeah, definetly hurry up," said Zuri. The area seemed far too dangerous for the two of them to be, but she felt fortunate enough to have such a close friend with her. "Isipho, just wanted to say, thank you for traveling with me. You're like my family."
Zuri smiled at the lioness as she quickly followed after her. Hopefully the exit out of this haunted place will show up soon. The setting certainly did not make her feel the least bit comfortable.

"Hurry? Hurry to where? Who would ever want to leave this magnificent Graveyard?"
A voice called.
"Why don't you stay a bit and make it your own?" Shira stepped from the shadows, grinning. "Make it your final resting place." Her eyes narrowed as a growl rolled in her body, eminating out around her. "What brings you filthy beasts to our territory? I do believe you b*****d lions and we hyena had made it quite clear we are not welcomed in each other's territory. You do know that trespassing is punishable by... death here?"
Ophos yawned and sat under the rib cage of a long dead Elephant, waiting for the two to come his way. He maybe small but he could inflict a good deal of damage. His ears perked to listen to his mother's voice play around the feelings and thoughts of her... victims.
"Lets see if you two are as smart as him...."

"Oh, really? You're like family too. I don't have traveling partners alot, so thankyou, too." Isi was about to say more, but her childish voice was cut off. "Oh, to the Pridelands!" It was a kneejerk reaction, really. To respond to a voice, no matter how cruel it sounded.
The lioness quickly shut up, however, once she saw the owner of the voice. "R-resting... place? We've had uh.. p-plenty of sleep, I think." Her pupils dilated, and she stumbled back a step. Was this a hy-ena? It must be. Oh! She said a cuss! How rude! "Oh-oh d-dear. I'm-m sorry. I-i did-didn't know." She stuttered, forgetting about her partner for a second, and stumbled back some more. Death! Oh gods! The lioness quaked visibly, her legs like jello beneath her.

"Isipho, run!" screamed Zuri in a mad rush. She felt her blood pumping fast as the fur on her body lifted in fright. Suddenly, her memories of this place rushed back to her. As a cub, she had wandered into these lands, but escorted out by a kind hyena and warned about the lands. The warning clearly didn't soak into Zuri's mind for she found herself in an even more dangerous situation than she was in before!
Zuri popped off the ground as she twirled in the air to look around for a place to run. Oh, if only she had any idea of where to go to get out of these terrifying lands. These hyenas would probably attack her at any moment, tearing them into shreds without thinking twice about it.

"Foolish lions! Today is your worst day in your pathetic lives! You are unfortunate to meet one of my pack's most dangerous members," She laughed her hyena laugh and charged straight at them. Hopefully, they will try to dart to either side, thus giving her something to chase. From that, they would probably be directed toward the pup who was just nearby, waiting for them to come at him. "Run, run as fast as you can, don't worry, it will be quick!"
Ophos shook his head and sighed, "Mother... please shut up, you are starting to sound stupid now." he leaned against one of the rib bones and looked around with brown eyes. He had other things on mind than chasing lions around and out of their territory. His friend was a lion so... he was just a bit leanant on them, but that didn't mean he would not kill them if he was given the opprtunity.
"I wonder what he's up to now..."

Her legs had been locked, frozen in place until she heard Zuri scream. With her fur on end and adrenline rushing through he body, she did just that. Isi darted off to the side, not able to think, and galloping madly away from the horrible hyena. She didn't want to die! Never!
"Zuri! Over here!" The lioness's voice was high and tight, and she cast a wild glance in her direction before scrabbling across the bones again.

Zuri looked over to Isipho, but she was already looking another direction. Zuri started to rush over to her quickly, but tripped over a bone, falling to the ground and skidding through the dirt. She pushed herself off the ground quickly, landing on all fours though her side was covered in dirt and would probably hurt in the morning, but the adrenaline was pumping too fast to really feel much pain.
"Where should we run?" she shouted in panic as she saw one of the hyenas. The hyena looked terrifying, especially when considering the factor that it was getting ready to attack her! "Hurry!"

"Come back here! I just want to maimKill you!" she shouted, grinning and laughing as her paws pushed her bulking body across the ground. Finally, another chase. Not many have actually entered the territory and most of them where on another's patrol. She hardly got the chance to run someone off or kill anything, beside for food, now was her chance to make something worth while. "Run faster fur lickers!"
The two had turned, just as she had predicted. They were in a panic making their decision making a bit more difficult to do in the hysteria. This played right into Shira's paws. She had done this for a while, she knew how others would act, then again it was the same thing over and over, right? She moved on, snapping her jaws whenever she neared.
"Ophos, get out here!"
Ophos flicked the bone from his paw and rolled up to his feet, shaking his fur out a bit.
"About time..." he stepped out from his hiding place to see the two females running straight for him. Heh... wouldn't he laugh at this. Two females running to me.
"Now, where do you two think you're going?" he snarled as he fell down into a offensive crouch.

"I'm trying, I'm trying!" Isi yelped, running as fast as she could over the dirt and bones. She didn't want to be killed! Or eaten! Those were the only thoughts that could run through her head. Oh, and 'oh crap' as she saw the other hyena. Isipho usually wasn't one for even mildly bad words, but this seemed like a good time to use one.
And suddenly, the lioness found herself leaping towards the young hyena, claws outstretched. She wasn't trying to attack him, Isi was just making an incredibly desperate attempt to jump over him, though it didn't look like she could clear even that small little dog thing. "Hellllp!" Gods help. Please.

Zuri halted as a younger hyena blocked her and Isipho's path. Oh, now what could they possibly do? There was no way out, they were trapped. Unless...
"Split up," whispered Zuri. "We'll split up. I'll have the little one chase me, you get the bigger one. We'll meet up in the Pridelands when we get there. At that big rock cliff thing way out there. We have to split up. We have to."
Zuri couldn't believe what she was saying. Her only option was risky, perhaps too risky to truly consider it. But did she really have much of a choice? She couldn't fight against these hyenas, the older one would kill them in a heartbeat.
No, she had no choice. They had to split up and run. Before she gave another moment's consideration, Zuri sprinted off towards the younger hyena, but then turned away from him sharply as soon as she got too close.
"Stay safe Isipho!" she shouted as she ran, hoping the lioness could hear her.

Ophos' eye twitched in annoyance as he moved quickly a few paces forward and ducked. The lioness landed behind him, luckily, he was unscathed. Looking ahead, he saw that another lioness was running at him then veering off. Now what was it that his parents told him again? .... It slipped his mind so the next best thing was going to have to work. Instinct. The hyena pup immediately gave chase to the younger female and sprinted on after.
"Give it up! I know this place better than you do and I'll have you know, you are going the wrong way!"
Shira laughed as she paced up behind the other female.
"tch,tch,tch,tch.... So your friend ditched you. Bad choice, bad choice indeed. While you have me, he has my little son... we are very good at maiming things until they were unrecognizeable. Should I let you get a head start?" She paused and looked down at her own paws.
"1....2....3....4...."
