Kizuka chewed on a long dried stem of grass aimlessly then spit it out to the side. She had started her search for her family and all she could do was to infiltrate through the Pridelanders where she suspected the murderer of her mother dwelt. However, her current situation did not help her at all. She was far too depressed to even act on something even she did not know she believed in anymore.
She walked around the Pride Rock, lost in thoughts as usual. Meeting Mchele's dad made her realize how much she missed and wanted to have a family on her own. She wondered why Mchele did not introduce her to his family the moment they arrived in the Pridelands... wasn't that the right thing to do when you invite someone to live with your pride?... She sighed, she did not understand anymore.
She looked around as the afternoon sun set on the golden grounds... was she ever going to find the peace she was lookign for again?...

The lion's eyes gazed at Pride Rock from afar, bringing back memories of when he still had his family. Kazi sighed deeply and broke the gaze, laying his head down solemnly on the ground. He wasn't much hungry nor thirsty, so he tried not to move much. The injuries he'd gotten still had yet to heal, so for now he lay still so they would heal faster. He closed his eyes for a moment or two and let a calm breeze pass him by. Another memory...but he shoved it to the back of his mind and looked up again. Grumbling, Kazi stood up, careful not to irritate his leg much, and started limping toward the heart of the Pride Lands.

Kizuka stopped for a brief moment to catch her breath and looked at the horizon. The glowing sun shed red beams on light which contrasted her white and pink pelt, the warmth slowly fleeing from her veins, making way for another sleepless night.
She raised her dark pink eyes with curiosity when she heard footsteps arroaching, but these were not familiar... It sounded like the approaching predator, for she was sure it was a lion, had three legs, instead of four. She turned around abruptly to face the newcomer, and saw a dark figure limping towards her. It suddenly dawned on her--this lion did not lack a leg but had one probably injured. Evene though her senses told her to stay off, Kizuka walked towards the dark lion to help him and to take a look at his wounds.
As she walked closer she greeted the lion "Hello, dark one, I am Kizuka... Do you need any help with those wounds?" They looked serious indeed... how could he got so many of them? He was surely in a fight...

Kazi's lips curled into a snarl when the lioness approached him. His muscles tensed and the ache in his leg throbbed even more so. He stopped walking and sat down, grimacing slightly when he bent his leg, but he ignored the pain and eyed the lioness carefully. She didn't seem harmful, but then again, the hyena that gave him his injuries didn't look harmful either.
His eyes narrowed and then he spoke. "I don't need any help," he muttered gruffly. "I need to speak with the leader of this pride. Have you any idea where he might be?" His voice was low and his eyes averted from her figure. He didn't like being seen with his injuries, and he was usually in a bad mood if another lion saw him in his time of weakness. "And I...am Kazi."

Kizuka smiled reassuringly "No need to get all tense, Kazi, you see I am in no shape to hurt you nor I have any motive..." She walked closer before replying his questions and took a closer look at his wounds "My, my, that should have been one nasty fight..." Her words were sincere "Looks like hyena clawmarks... I am happy you were able to get away with only these.." She lifted her right front leg and showed a deep wound which she usually kept hidden "They are nasty, those hyenas..." She wanted to show him it was not a weakness, but a strength to be able to stand up against a hyena, since they were fight motivated and did not stop until they hurt their target.
"Mufasa is the king of this pride, I have never met him myself... but you will surely meet him if you are looking for that... but before that we should really get those wounds cleaned" She smiled again "and nice to meet you Kazi... The waterhole is this way, if you are going to meet the king, you should look like a king yourself" She tilted her head, it was refreshing to see a new face, and one as dark and as enchanting as this newcomer. There was something about him that appealed to Kizuka's curiosity, and made her feel sane and peaceful even for a fleeting moment.

Kazi softened his expression and shook his head, sighing and standing up again as he did so. The lioness seemed kind enough, though he was never the trusting one since his family died. Kazi started limping after her, not really interested in making any conversation with her. There was something being alone that made him somewhat anti-social. "I know who the king is, I just need to know his whereabouts." That was all he said, and then, he was silent again.

Kizuka sighed. She always seemed to come across ones who were not keen in conversation... but she enjoyed that, rather than meaningless talk about the whether and such. "Glad you know Mufasa" she replied briefly "Ever since i lost my parents... to that..." she muttered somethign between her teeth with a voice full of hatred, hatred she could not conceal with a smile this time "Pridelanders are the only family I have."
She led him to the watering hole "I will take leave now if you dislike my company" she was straightforward--the thing she hated the most was playing games and subtle answers "but if my presence does not bother you, i will take you to pride rock after you clean those wounds, that is where mufasa will likely be, with his wife... if he is not outside the pridelands borders that is..." she remembered the times she was as bitter as Kazi... anti social maybe, and a fragile glass ready to shatter under a facade of self confidence.
she did not want to leave, in reality, she wanted to get to know kazi a little more... his bitterness was most interesting, and she was sure there was a gentle heart beneath that hard facade.
