Personality: Morginn is a sweet guy who is very comfortable in his own skin and isn't afraid to tell you what's on his mind. He's never deliberately mean or catty, but there isn't much that can damage this Daydream's self-confidence. He loves fashion and nothing can make a bad day better quite like shopping for a new outfit. He's effeminate in his dress style and prefers skirts and cute tops over more masculine styles of clothing. His personality is similar. Morginn's quite comfortable being male. He doesn't stress about gender roles, and while he effects a more female personality most of the time he can be quite the dashing and charming male when the mood overtakes him. Morginn's not quite sure if he's androgynous or not; he feels like androgyny is the absence of gender identity, and while he might flip flop between male and female attitudes he feels connected to both genders. He doesn't really question it though, it's just who he is.
Morginn is a very friendly person who likes striking up conversations, and isn't afraid to approach strangers to complement them on a cute or interesting outfit. He frequently gifts acquaintances and friends with hand-made accessories, usually gloves, hats, scarves, or small items that can be added to outfits, and has no problem being the guy you go to during a clothes emergency (difficult stains or ripped seams). Those he feels close to will probably find themselves frequently drafted to act as a living dummy. Nothing makes Morginn happier than to make outfits for others, unless it's seeing those outfits being worn and enjoyed. He can get a bit carried away sometimes, treating people like dolls made to be dressed, and will need reminding that sometimes practical or old, comfy clothing wins out over new or fashionable.
Short term: Graduate! Make some friends. Try to create new, cute designs. Long term: Morginn hopes to work in fashion someday, either working as a designer for a business owner or owning his own store. He'd much rather work with someone who has a head for business though, so it would be nice to find someone with a head for that kind of stuff.
Morginn currently lives with the mother of his two children so that they can raise them together. It's a large house, owned by a Nightmare named Alrai, whom Araceae is roommates with. It can be a bit chaotic, with all the adults, children, and familiars running around, but Morginn finds it all quite delightful and is enjoying his stay.
Son. Florence is so adorable, even when he's being cheeky! He doesn't show the same interest in clothes as Morginn, but he does like having his hair played with and loves learning any new styles. Morginn loves teaching Florence whatever he can, and wonders what he'll be when he grows up.
Daughter. Morginn thinks Fiore is just too darn cute, and loves playing with her long hair. He's super proud that she seems to have taken after her very intelligent mother, and is curious to see what she'll be when she grows up.
Daughter. Morginn thinks Acacia has inherited the legacy of cute that all the children in the family seem to have. To his sorrow though she seems to be averse to cute things and won't let him dress her up or play with her hair. She sometimes seems to actively avoid him, actually, though he knows it's not because she doesn't love him. It makes him really appreciate the moments when she's feeling snuggly or in the mood to do things together with him.
Son. Morginn finds Eryusa as adorable as Acacia, and thankfully he seems to be a bit less averse to Morginn trying to dress him up, though not that much less averse. It's made Morginn have to challenge himself to make a different style of children's clothing than he usually does, that's all. Regardless Morginn always loves spending time with his son and showering him with as much love as he'll allow.
Owner of the house Morginn is currently living at. He was a little more reserved around Alrai at first, not wanting to upset him after he so graciously let a stranger into his home, but that reservation quickly wore away. Morginn thinks Alrai is very smart and kind, and though he hasn't said anything he also finds him quite attractive. After a bout of premature empty nest syndrome they decided to imbue together. Morginn is currently trying to divine exactly how he feels about Alrai.
Morginn met Araceae through a single's mixer. They imbued two stones together, and Morginn currently lives with her along with her roommate Alrai so that they could raise the children together. He thinks she's very sweet and smart, plus it's nice to be around a Dryad.
Morginn really likes Kaoru. The Imp always dresses in such amazing clothes and has a wonderful sense of fashion. They also make their own clothes, and it's so nice to have someone to go fabric shopping with or trade ideas back and forth. Kaoru also has the most adorable son, who Morginn would dress like a doll if he could get away with it.
Morginn first met Raleka at the Hunter's Jubilee festival. He'd never seen a hybrid quite like her, which is why he initially approached her. She turned out to be a lot of fun, and they hung out for a good portion of the festival. She's usually pretty quiet, but he loves trying to make her laugh or blush.
A fellow lunar Fey! Morginn met Renge at the same time he met Raleka, and he also spent some of the festival with her. She's very flirtatious and doesn't seem to mind the exchange of teases back and forth. It was fun hanging out with her, and Morginn hopes to do so again.
Familiars:
Lace ♀ Flitterrat | Lace is Morginn's first familiar. She's very patient and willing to put up with being dressed in the tiny clothes he makes for her, but if he leaves them on too long she'll start to nibble on them. She loves When not with Morginn, Lace is usually either with Charm or Mirage.
Mirage ♀ Winged Jackalope | Mirage is somewhat jumpy and doesn't like loud noises or sudden movements. She's most comfortable around Morginn, Lace, or Charm and anything else is just too much noise for her poor nerves. She's not at all fond of either Palette or Carnelian, though the wisps usually leave her alone.
Whisper ♂ Skyfish | Whisper is very inquisitive and likes to nibble on things to find out what they are. He especially loves nosing at the various yarns and fabrics when Morginn is making clothes and accessories; Morginn has to be especially careful if he has the sewing machine out or to make sure Whisper doesn't eat anything he shouldn't. Whisper is fascinated by, and often tries to eat, wisps (with no success), though he quickly learned to leave fluffbugs alone.
Palette ☿ Wisp | Palette seems to be a very calm creature. They can usually be found hiding among Morginn's plants or riding on top of Whisper's head in an effort to avoid the inquisitive skyfish's mouth. They do love to examine any fabrics Morginn brings home, and has a soft spot for anything with silk in it. They do love do explore, however, and can often be found with Carnelian.
Jubilee ♂ Fluffbug | Jubilee is very inquisitive and gets into things he shouldn't. He's pretty tough though, and usually manages; it only took one encounter with Whisper to teach the skyfish that the fluffbug did not appreciate being nibbled on. He adores Morginn and always finds a way out of the room to follow the Fey around. He often tries to perch on Palette or Carnelian, mistaking the wisps for pretty flowers.
Carnelian ☿ Wisp | Carnelian was a total surprise for Morginn. He took Palette with him to Hunter's Jubilee, and the rainbow wisp came back with a vivid gold and scarlet wisp. Secretly he thinks they're in love, but no telling. Carnelian is a very calm wisp and doesn't seem as inquisitive as Palette, though they follow them around everywhere. They do seem to love teasing Whisper though, and frequently roam so the skyfish will follow.
Charm ♂ Flitterrat | Charm loves naps. He is quite lazy and is usually curled up asleep somewhere. Morginn actually found him nestled in some fabric, fast asleep. Charm is pretty good-natured and doesn't mind being handled, as he tends to just lay there and snooze, which makes him an excellent candidate for dressing in tiny clothes. The only thing he takes seriously is nest building; he always uses the best, softest materials he can find, and has to be watched carefully to make sure he doesn't chew up anything important!
Noir ♀ Skyfish | Noir is a very nocturnal creature, and her dark coloration makes her hard to spot. Most times you just see a pair of glowing yellow eyes in the darkness. Noir is very focused. If she's hunting for bugs, relaxing, exploring, or anything in general, it gets all her attention and she ignores attempts at diversion. When she decides she wants to be affectionate though she is one of the sweetest skyfish around. She frequently ambushes the unsuspecting in the darkness, and vanishes as suddenly as she appeared.

Romance:
As a Fey, Morginn finds short hair and colorful appearances to be quite attractive. He might become engaged in a fling with someone he finds physically attractive, but for a long term commitment he cares more about the person and less about superficial things.
Morginn is currently working his way through school and trying to get settled into a responsible adult life. Becoming a father has settled him a bit, but he still questions whether he's ready for romantic commitment. He's not really sure what he wants in an ideal mate, but to be perfectly honest he's deliberately not thinking about it. He'd much rather let things just happen naturally than make this into some kind of fantasy/scavenger-hunt combo.

Morginn loves clothes. Literally any activity involving clothes or accessories interests him; shopping for new outfits, browsing for ideas, shopping for fabric or materials, creating clothes by hand... He's also good at knitting and crochet. He would love to have a sewing buddy to discuss design with or to work with to make elaborate projects. He would also love to have friends who benefit from the work, aka a living doll he can dress up. He wants to turn clothes making into a business some day, and already earns a few crystals by making and selling custom pieces.
Morginn's a lunar Fey. He's quite active at night, has a natural talent with plants, and is always making up dances. He is comfortable around other Fey or Dryads, and a bit edgy around Elves or Demons. I would love to explore his personality as a Fey, as well as how that affects his reactions towards other races and how they view him. He's a pacifist with a forgiving heart who remembers history but wants to work past it to make a new, better history.
Rivals:
Morginn's easily excited, quite forward, feels like no outfit should be worn the same way more than a couple of times at most, and is sometimes distracted or scatterbrained. Perhaps one or more of these traits proves a bit too annoying for your character to handle.
Morginn's good at several things and reasonably talented at others. Maybe someone gets jealous or just sees working at beating him to be a motivating challenge. They can be from his own class, another school, or just anything in general.
Daydreams are still fairly new-ish to the world of Below, and there's several races who probably don't hold them (and Fey in particular) in high regard. Morginn's a pacifist by nature, but some people don't need their opponent to participate to start a fight.

Personality: Topaz is a very determined person who refuses to give up. Whether it's seeking answers, making friends, a personal challenge, etc, she won't stop until she either achieves her goal or until she is satisfied there is nothing more that can be done. Then she moves on to the next thing. She's an excellent multi-tasker, and can work on several things at once while giving her full effort to all of them. This isn't good for her health of course; as she single-mindedly pursues her goals Topaz will eventually start shorting herself on food and sleep. She's never gone so far as to put herself in danger, but she does need reminding from time to time that she can't do her best if she isn't at her best.
Topaz is a very warm and friendly individual. She freely shares without a second thought, be it possessions, a place to stay, knowledge, or time. It's second nature for her to do so, and while she does expect a bit of reciprocity in return she tries to ease back a bit with other races who might not be comfortable with her cultural norms. She's got plenty of energy and enthusiasm, but she gives off an air of confidence and steadiness that can serve to calm those who are a bit more nervy or prone to over-worrying. She's quite caring and looks after her friends; she could be described as being a big sister to just about everyone!
Short term: Graduate! Study and explore the nearby areas, hopefully making a few friends and learning some interesting things in the process. Long term: Topaz isn't sure what she'd like to do exactly. She'd love to explore some of the old cities destroyed by the war in the hopes of recovering pieces of history. The thought of writing a book about her adventures, and maybe one day teaching history classes, appeals to her.
Topaz is currently leasing a home near the coast, close to Asterion and Hyperes. After successfully imbuing stones she felt she needed more space and privacy than her dorm offered, though she's not so certain about actually buying a house. Leasing seemed like the best way to go. The house opens into a living room, which leads into a kitchen straight ahead which then leads into a small mudroom that was converted to a miniature hothouse. To the right of the living room is an L-shaped hallway. The first door leads to a bathroom, containing a toilet, sink, and tub/shower. Once you round the corner you'll see three doors leading to three bedrooms. The last room at the end of the hall has its own bathroom, with a toilet, sink, and shower.
Since Topaz doesn't have many physical possessions due to her habit of frequent traveling, the house might seem a bit bare. She converted the front bedroom into a guest room and study where Keira stays. The next room she set up to be the children's room for whenever they are staying with her, with an extra bed for Rian. The last room is hers, and doesn't have a whole lot in it. Comet spends most of their time in her room while Boo seems to favor the children's room due to all the little toys and potential hiding place.
Her child. Quartz is a little cutie who tends to do her own thing, but likes being around a family member. She would usually sit with a drawing pad and doodle with Topaz does antique restorations or Keira studies. She's such a sweet, friendly child, and Topaz is so happy to be her mother.
Daughter. Even with two amazing children beforehand as an example, Amber is an especially precious little bundle of fluff. She quite patient, snuggling up to Topaz whenever she's working and waiting patiently for attention. It's so easy to love and care about Amber, though Topaz worries about how easy it seems to be to hurt her. She does her best to keep an eye on Amber and make sure there's never anything seriously wrong bothering her, but tries her best to merely be supportive without interfering.
Narra is the first Dryad she's ever met! He was kind enough to offer her a warm drink and answer some of her questions about Dryads. He was really open and honest and took her questions seriously, enough so that Topaz respected his wishes when there were some things he requested she not ask about. They exchanged numbers and continue to chat with each other. Whenever Narra visits his sister or Topaz is around Leviathan they usually try to catch each other and spend a little time together. They even got to spend some time together for Hunter's Jubilee, which was quite nice.
Caron is Topaz's little sibling through the Big Sibling program. She was paired with him since both have an interest in history. She thinks he'd pretty cute and quite direct and straightforward with his questions and goals. He seems pretty independent and mature for his age, so she hadn't had very much to do as his Big Sibling.
Sariya is a fellow history and anthropology student, as well as having kids about the same age as Topaz's. Topaz doesn't know her super well, but still likes to meet up here and there to chat.
Topaz met Mytrax when the university asked if she would give a tour for a prospective student. She found the Chimera to be very polite and straightforward, and full of good questions. She did seem a little uncomfortable around Topaz, though Topaz thinks it's more that she was worrying too much about which manners she should use and if she was making a good impression, rather than a problem with Topaz herself.
Familiars:
Comet ☿ Revenant | Topaz found Comet while exploring, trapped in a pit and in need of help. Comet never let Topaz go and has been with her ever since. Around Topaz they are extremely loving and follow her everywhere. When she's not around they find the things that most strongly smell like her and curl up on them. Comet is a bit shy around anyone else, but is willing to stick it out if Topaz is there with them.
Boo ☿ Pumpka | Topaz found Boo while working on a farm in exchange for their hospitality. The owners were adamant she take Boo; they didn't much care for pumpkas. Boo seems to be quite attached to Topaz. They tend to just sleep if she's gone for any length of time. One of their favorite things to do is try to scare other people, usually by hiding and then peeking out at the right time. In general anything they can do to creep others other them happy, but Topaz has learned to ignore them by now.
Sneak ♂ Coatl | Topaz found Sneak at the Hunter's Jubilee festival. The coatl hid in her bag to try to get at the candy she had, but took a liking to the Bahomet and ended up staying with her. Sneak is very nosy and likes to poke at whatever interests him, regardless of whether it's a good idea or not. He's pretty persistent, but easily distracted. He loves attention and is quite friendly, but seems mostly attached to Topaz and her friend Narra.
Flower ☿ Fey Slime | Topaz caught Flower during the great slime escape where all hands were called to help round the critters up. Flower is quite sweet and loves attention. They can usually be found plants or anything brightly colored. They have an impish sense of humor and like surprising any unwitting people who pass by.
Hydrangea ☿ Revenant | Another familiar found while traveling. Hydrangea is very sweet and quite outgoing. They're willing to seek snuggles and attention from pretty much everyone they meet, though they are happiest when Topaz gives them attention. They prefer to be active and love going on walks. At home they're usually exploring or playing hide and seek with Flower.
Bubbles ☿ Baphomet Slime | Bubbles was a gift to Topaz from Narra. They remind Topaz of Narra himself, being the color of the warm drinks he prefers and also being very sweet. Bubbles is a people-pleaser who doesn't like being left alone. They're always following someone around, and have a habit of making a variety of noises they feel might be most soothing to the person they are following.

Romance:
Topaz doesn't really have any preferences as far as looks go, though she is quite attracted to display features. Horns would be the most common display feature, and certainly the one she is most attracted to, though she also finds interest in the things unique to other races. The leaves of a Dryad, the flower of a Fey, the wings of a Fallen, the gills of a Nixie, etc. Still, it doesn't matter how pretty your feathers or big your horns are, cause flirting is one thing but settling down is something she will take very seriously and with much forethought.
At this point in time Topaz isn't really thinking about settling down. She's constantly on the move, exploring old cities, searching for abandoned ruins, and combing through old libraries. She's not yet sure what she wants to do for a living, so for now she's doing a bit of everything. She loves her kids and really wants a family some day, but she's in no hurry to speed up the process.

One of Topaz's hobbies in antiquing. She loves going through old, hole-in-the-walls stores and finding that amazing score that just needs a little fixing up. She's no professional restorer, though she has the skills to do the basic repairs and is slowly trying to increase her knowledge on the subject. She'd love to have an antiquing buddy, or a mentor to help her with her restoration skills. She's also willing to help someone hunt down a particular kind of object, or maybe you have an old-but-treasured item that got broken and you need help fixing it. Topaz is your girl for all of it!
Topaz has a pretty good idea of what the Below world is like. There's always something to learn, of course, but there are quite a few books that give hows and whys from all sorts of different perspectives. She even knows a thing or two about the once-thought-extinct Grimm. In contrast, information about the Above world is scarce. Most of what she can find was written by Nightmares, and thus gives her no idea of what true Daydream culture or thought process might be like. She's super excited to see any kinds of books from Above, and talking to an actual Daydream is even better when it comes to learning about cultures!
Rivals:
Topaz enjoys asking a lot of questions, trying to figure out the hows and whys of stuff. Some races are more secretive than others, and might not appreciate what they see as her prying.
Topaz is a Baphomet, and follows the cultural custom of gift-giving and reciprocity. While there's more mingling among the races now than there has ever been, there's still plenty of scope for misunderstandings to occur.

Personality: Jaden is from the soul stone cache, so he never knew his parents. He doesn't even know how many parents he has. He struggles a bit with identity and feels like he should represent each of his races well, even though those races conflict with each other at times. Simultaneously he feels rather isolated, culturally as well as an individual. Until he finds who he is he fears he'll never really be happy, but he doesn't really know how to go about doing that. His need for approval doesn't help matters, and he finds himself either trying to adapt to what he thinks is wanted from him or withdrawing entirely.
Jaden usually presents a quiet and polite face to strangers, with a hint of shyness. He's not exactly comfortable initiating small talk, though he's fine talking to chatty people. He relaxes a bit as he gets more comfortable and familiar with others. He's quite sweet and attentive, but he can also be a bit of a worrywart and mother hen. He's also a bit sensitive and worries a lot about how others perceive him. It's easy to hurt his feelings completely by accident, but not so easy to tell since he has a hard time sharing anything of himself unless he is very comfortable with someone. Even then he's unlikely to talk directly to the person causing him distress, since he finds it hard to stand up for himself in any fashion.

Jaden currently lives in the junior dorms at the Academy.
Jaden doesn't have a roommate at the moment, though he does frequently visit the room of his freshling roommate. While he wouldn't mind rooming with others he has quite a few familiars, small in size but big in attitude, and felt like it might be better to have his own space for them to run around in, rather than inflicting their inquisitive energy on others. It's his attempt to be thoughtful to others, though if pressed to comment Jaden might admit that it's partially a social anxiety thing as well. He's much better at talking to others, but still holds some shyness from his freshling days.
A fellow hybrid, and his freshling roommate. Leto has delicate health, with makes Jaden worry sometimes. Leto has been super nice to Jaden, and while neither is super social they could at least chat with each other when they did need someone to talk to.
Jaden met Arinas in the cafeteria. They teamed up to reach some condiments a bit too high for freshlings hands to reach, and sat down to have a chat about how they liked their food a bit more strongly spiced. Arinas ended up inviting Jaden over to his house to teach him some baking techniques, which pleased Jaden. He likes Arinas quite a bit and enjoys talking with him.
Muninn is a mutated hybrid that Jaden met while out walking Cream and Blueberry. Considering their first meeting was Blueberry causing trouble with one of Muninn's cockatriels, things could have gone badly. Instead they had a nice conversation and commiserated on owning familiars who could sometimes be divas.
Familiars:
Sprinkles ♂ Spectrefox | Sprinkles is super protective of Jaden. He prefer to be near him at all time, and gets very upset when Jaden has to leave him behind. When Jaden is particularly nervous or upset, Sprinkles tries to interpose himself between Jaden and "the threat", or at least be very close by. He's very calm and well-behaved, so he does get to follow Jaden almost everywhere. He tolerates other familiars and people and even gets a little protective of the ones Jaden gets attached to. The only other familiar whose company he actively seeks out is Cinnamon.
Cream ♂ Fennekit | Cream loves attention. Pets? Yes please! Go for a walk? Awesome! Play games? Hell yea! Grooming? Um, do you even need to ask?! He adores Jaden, but is quite friendly to everyone else. He can actually be quite needy, and hates being left alone more than anything. Thankfully he and Blueberry are almost always together, Sprinkles tolerates him, and Jaden always makes sure to spend time with him.
Blueberry ♀ Fennekit | Blueberry is a finicky little hellion. She hates being dirty, so grooming is her favorite activity. It's actually just about the only activity where she likes being touched. The rest of the time she's being aloof and doing her own thing. She's quite bold, fickle in her moods, and prone to disguising mischief as affection. She like Jaden because he grooms her and respects her moods; he's the only person she's ever cuddly with. She seems to have a strong bond with Cream, and wherever she is it's a fair bet he's not far behind. She pretty much despises Pepper, and frequently tries to compete with the other fennekit.
Pepper ♀ Fennekit | Like her name suggests, Pepper is fiery. Jaden frequently has to break up potential fights between her and Blueberry. Pepper is quite unimpressive with the diva Blueberry, and seems to like causing a ruckus. When not squabbling with Blueberry, Pepper is usually exploring, nosing at other people, playing with the other fennekits, or attempting to climb Sprinkles or Cinnamon. She's sweet enough, just a fluffy bundle of mischief.
Cinnamon ♀ Spectrefox | Cinnamon is active and likes going for long walks and is an excellent runner. She can (and has) followed Jaden whenever he's flying, though her ability to properly keep up depends on duration and terrain. She's a bit more standoff-ish of other people and prefers only Jaden touching her. She's actually protective of the fennekits, though she mostly ignores their internal dramas. She's quite fond of Sprinkles; the two can usually be found together.
Omelette ♂ Fennekit | Omelette is as sunny as his coat. He's as cheerful and energetic as Cream, and equally as friendly, though he's a bit more cautious upon initial meetings. Once he's decided you're okay though, he'll prance right up to you with no questions asked! He seems to like trying to get Pepper and Anise to play with him whenever he can get their attention, though nothing is an instant grab to his attention like a good belly rub!
Fairyfloss ♂ Fennekit | Fairyfloss is a highly finicky creature. Everything has to be just so for him. He likes his food presented in a certain way, wants to be brushed just so, and only accepting pets if you know which areas to scratch. He's even more particular than Blueberry, though he's nowhere near as dramatic. Fairyfloss is actually quite patient and spends time teaching others how to meet his exacting standards by using yips and squeaks to express his approval or distaste. He only approaches others who have proven able to meet his standards.
Anise ♀ Fennekit | Anise is probably the most laid-back and quiet of all Jaden's fennekits. She's almost like a vespercat in her independence...and in her love of a nice patch of sun in which to nap. While she doesn't appreciate interruptions or drama she keeps her displeasure to a few grumbles. While not nearly as particular as Fairyfloss, she enjoys a certain amount of alone time and knows plenty of good hiding places where she can escape to.
Cocoa ♀ Spectrefox | Like her namesake, Cocoa is extremely sweet. She is particularly attached to Jaden, but is perhaps the least protective of all his spectrefoxes. That's not to say that she wouldn't leap to defend Jaden if need be, but on average she's very relaxed around strangers, loves affection and attention from just about anyone, and seems to have no anxiety about being separated from Jaden for long periods of time.
Coffee ♂ Fennekit | Coffee is Jaden's most stand-offish fennekit. He doesn't seem to have any kind of attention or grooming standards, and in fact prefers to be doing his own thing. He seems to like being in the general vicinity of the other familiars or Jaden, but he doesn't actually seem to want to interact. He does have his affectionate moments though, made all the sweeter for how rare they are.
Sugar ♀ Fennekit | Sugar, along with Cream, is one of the sweetest of Jaden's fennekit pack. Unlike Cream she's a lot more calm and less energetic. She tends to go up to whatever interests her and flop down in front of it in a silent bid for attention. Along with being sweet, Sugar is also one of the most patient and forgiving of Jaden's fennekits, which makes her great for being around curious (if sometimes sticky or grabby) children.

Romance:
While he's too young for it now and the process of his growth will affect his personality, I see Jaden falling for one of the three races that make up his genetics just to feel like he finally fits in somewhere. A hybrid stands a better chance as long as they have at least one of those races in them, preferably two, since it will help him relate. Or his muse might go rouge on me and decide not to settle with any race that shares his genetics. His way of taking control so he doesn't feel like he's denying parts of himself by choosing another part over them, if that makes any sense.

Jaden has a hard time relating to who he is because he keeps grabbing for answers that aren't there that he feels like he should have. He's doing his best to cope, but it's not easy on his own. It would be awesome if he could make friends with a few hybrids. It doesn't particularly matter what races make up their genetics, how many races, or whether they're from the cache or raised by the parents who imbued them. Just being around others who are made up of multiple parts and seeing how they handle their lives will help Jaden to get more of a handle on his own.
Jaden loves learning, and he loves food. He's bookish and reads some of the most random things. He can be equally random with his food. Sometimes it's normal. Sometimes he mixes things to see how the tastes change. And sometimes he'll get super focused and start building stuff with it. These two activities are the closest he has to hobbies. He could meet someone who has similar interests and see how things expand from there. Trying different genres of books, creating a book club, trying to write their own books... Building more complicated stuff with food, working on different combinations, or learning to make food look prettier... Or maybe Jaden gets introduced to a new hobby entirely! He just needs something to do with someone.
Jaden is an avid lover of fennekits and spectrefoxes. He actually hopes to one day open a fennekit cafe, since the small little bundles of fur have always managed to brighten up his day when spending time with them. He already owns a small pack of them and has quite a bit of practical experience, though he always pays attention for new things to learn. This plot could go any number of ways. Perhaps someone who is a fellow enthusiast sharing knowledge or swapping stories. Maybe someone who doesn't any familiars but would love to snuggle with something fluffy can be the first "customers" for Jaden's fennekit cafe. Jaden would also like to involve spectrefoxes in some way with his cafe idea, but worries their size and reputations might be off-putting. Someone who loves specrefoxes, or some some ideas on that front would be nice for him to chat with.
Rivals:
Jaden is made up of three separate races. While Litches and Fallen tend to get along just fine, either race is overly fond of Demons. Demons don't seem to take exception to either race, but there's always a few with a bit less tolerance than their fellows. Perhaps Jaden runs across a member of one of these three races who seems to find fault in his genetics, or that he doesn't seem to strictly adhere to their cultural norms.
Jaden isn't really secure in who he is, so he still needs a lot of approval from others. Anyone who's particularly manipulative could easily take advantage of this for their own purposes.

Personality: Fridtjof is a mischievous fellow who likes to tease and pull pranks. He does love it when others catch on to how clever he's being, but he doesn't need validation to get enjoyment from what he does. They're not always big pranks either. He actually prefers small pranks, just to see if anyone ever does catch on. He can be quite loud and boisterous in his interactions, so most people wouldn't credit him for having subtlety. It's all in good fun though, which is why he can get a bit flustered if he hurts someone's feelings. He tends to hide his hurt behind a jester mask, laughing and joking and trying to play things off like they aren't a big deal, which can sometimes make the situation worse. Fridtjof does try hard to put things right though. He's the kind of guy who doesn't like to brood, so he tends to be proactive in setting things to rights.
Fridtjof is usually quite loud and bold. He's almost class clown material, and doesn't seem to be at all shy or reserved around new people. He is tough, and while he would never start a physical fight on his own behalf he can be very protective of his friends. That sturdy person in the group you don't want to mess with who usually has the great sense of humor? Yup, that's Fridtjof. He can also be a good listener when you're having a down day, since he doesn't like seeing people upset.

Fridtjof currently has the room to himself, though he is highly open to the idea of roommates. He prefers to be where there are people, so he might not spend a huge amount of time in the room. Most of his shelf space is taken up by knickknacks and potted plants. Fridtjof has several nezubats who are in and out a lot. He keeps the window by his bed open for them in warm months. During colder weather the nezubats are usually inside; Fridtjof takes them out at dawn and dusk for exercise, so he's learned to be an early riser. Light sleepers or people/familiars who won't get along with nezubats might not like sharing a room.
Fridtjof met Nefertiti at the Hunter's Jubilee festival. Bakeneko were a very new thing, and he couldn't help but run over to say hi to the first one he'd ever seen. Seems like it was a good choice, because he's finally met someone who has equal amounts (if not more!) of enthusiasm as he does! He's run into her since on Academy grounds, and they've had some pretty awesome times together. As they've gotten older he's starting to notice more and more how pretty Nef is becoming...
Fridtjof met Chauskiu in an art class while he was a freshling They were working at the same table and chatting with each other, which was quite nice.
Familiars:
November ♂ Nezubat | November is a little bossy. He's only sweet and cooperative when he wants to be....unless you know the good places to pet him, or have a tasty treat. Truth is he's quite easily bribed. He's very fond of Fridtjof and Echo for giving him the attention he wants, but the rest of the colony seems to be a constant frustration to him.
Echo ♀ Nezubat | Echo is super sweet. She can almost always be found on Fridtjof's shoulder, and adores being held. She's a little shy at first, but warms up quickly and has an excellent memory for who is a friend; she'll often perch on the shoulders of other people if Fridtjof is busy. She gets along with all the other nezubats, but she really seems to like Uniform.
Zulu ♀ Nezubat | Zulu is from a wild colony. She followed November and Echo home, mostly due to taking a great liking for Echo. She's not at all impressed by November's attitude and is constantly ignoring him. She doesn't really like people that much, and so far only tolerates Fridtjof's touch. Even then that's only when she's in the mood to be handled, though since Echo is always with Fridtjof she can usually be found in the same vicinity, or hanging out with Bravo.
Uniform ♂ Nezubat | Uniform is the most chill nezubat you'll ever meet. You want to hold and pet him? Sure, he's cool with that. You called his name? He'll come over to see what's up. Time for a bath? He just lays there and enjoys it. He's not at all fussy or clingy, but he's inquisitive and likes figuring out new things. You can always win him over with food though. That's how he ended up with Fridtjof in the first place; he was trying to sneak some candy out of the Geist's pocket and got caught!
Bravo ♂ Nezubat | Bravo and Zulu come from the same colony. Apparently he decided he missed her and followed Zulu home to Fridtjof. Bravo is still the most wild of Fridtjof's little colony, and doesn't like being handled by just anyone; only experienced nezubat handlers! He gets very loud when he's upset, and will hit with his wings or even bite if he doesn't want to be messed with. Fridtjof's working on taming him, but it's a slow process.
Alpha ♀ Nezubat | Friendly and a bit of a glutton. When Uniform was taken in by Freddy, Alpha soon followed. They were very close in their colony, and she would have been quite lonely without him. She's usually a big sweetie, but if you irritate her she's got plenty of sass!
Tango ♂ Nezubat | Tango is one of the most adventurous of Fridtjof's nezubat colony. He is frequently active even in daylight hours and follows Fridtjof whenever he can. Failing that, he's quite fond of Fridtjof's friend Nefertiti, and will follow her whenever he can't find the Geist. Tango's very friendly and inquisitive. He loves to examine new things, and rarely shies away from potential danger.

Romance:
Freddy doesn't really has a preference for looks, though because he's short and solid he admires more graceful and delicate features. He will likely struggle a little to express his affection since there's a broad scope for misunderstanding with traditional Geist courtship and he was raised by several races at the Academy. He will be the sort to tease and play little tricks on anyone he's romantically interested in, a bit more so than he would just a normal friend.
I think it might be adorable if he helped someone shy kind of come out of their shell and it developed into a stupidly cute romance. It would also be fun to run into someone sassy who gives Freddy a bit of a challenge. Of course he is also open to triads, so if that is or is not something you see as a potential in their future please make your preferences known!

Freddy has a plethora of hobbies. He loves to sneak, and frequently practices controlling his Geist abilities to help him pull of more daring pranks. He loves learning codes, or making up codes of his own. He's a bit of a nezubat enthusiast (he thinks they're adorable). And he also loves growing potted plants. His current ambition is a tangerine tree, though it might take a few years before it's mature enough to produce fruit. Any of these appeal, either as a partner-in-crime, student, or mentor, then come on over!
Rivals:
Freddy loves pulling pranks, and sometimes he can take things a bit too far. He doesn't mean to cause bad feelings and he always tries to make it up to others, but they might not feel he's sincere since he'll always be a bit of a joker.
Freddy doesn't like bullies. If he sees someone being mean to others, he stands up to them. This could probably cause a lot of bad feelings, especially if the bully has their own problems and is just coping badly.

Personality: Alyssum is a very quiet person. She's not shy so much as reserved and slightly skittish, so she prefers a calm environment. Given her way she would probably become a hermit, more for peace of mind than a dislike of people. When she does find herself in a social situation she spends a great deal of her time lurking on the sidelines trying to stay unnoticed while she looks for an escape. She's nearly a selective mute and only speaks when it absolutely cannot be avoided, or if she feels extremely comfortable in your presence.
Though it takes more than a bit of effort to get close to her, you'll find her sweetness is worth it. Alyssum is the type who always has time for her loved ones; someone to talk to about problems, help you with homework, a shopping buddy, or if you just need company in general, she's there day or night. Although she is not very social on her own she can actually give great advice and is good at reading others. On rare occasions she might even initiate an interaction if she thinks there's a legitimate problem that needs an intervention of some sort.

Alyssum currently lives in the Eldritch dorms at the Academy. It's a small room, meant to hold one or two people who don't mind sharing space. There's a bunk bed, desk, and two small dressers. There's a little bit of extra room for more furniture, but not a whole lot.
Alyssum is currently alone in the room, which is pretty much how she likes it. She isn't taking up a ton of space either. She has a tank for her salamanders at the foot of the bunk bed (though it's getting to the point where she needs another tank!) across from the dresser she's claimed as her own. She's also squeezed in a bean bag chair that she thought was interesting, and there are usually books in little piles on the floor in that tiny nook. She likes keeping her things in a small space instead of spread out over the room, it makes her feel a bit more secure. She does sometime switch between the top and bottom bunk though, since she isn't sure which one she'd prefer. There's a couple plants around the room, in case her salamander wants somewhere to hide when they're out of their tank.
Alyssum ran into Sasori as a freshling, literally, while the other was carrying a stack of books to large to see over. Alyssum helped Sasori pick the books up, they ended up chatting for a bit, and Alyssum ended up getting invited to Sasori's house for dinner. Alyssum considers Sasori one of her first friends.
Alyssum met Solomon at Hunter's Jubilee. He saved her from some flying flowers, and she returned the favor by saving him from a flying plushie.
Familiars:
Kraken ♂ Salamander | Kraken spends a lot of time hiding, either in the middle of puddles in his tank or in the plants around Alyssum's room. He's very shy, and has to be coaxed to come out of hiding; attempting to pick him up without coaxing will get you burned. Only Alyssum seems to be able to coax him without using food. Kraken adores Alyssum, and prefer ride her shoulders so he can hide behind her hair.
Dragon ♀ Salamander | Dragon is fairly curious and much more friendly than Kraken. She'll tolerate strangers picking her up, but only if you "ask" first by offering your hand and allowing her to make the first step up. If she chooses to perch on you, it means that she likes and trusts you. Of course she's still a bit sassy, and determines when she does or doesn't perch. She likes to hunker down and hide from time to time, but is also curious and likes to explore.
Marimo ☿ Dryad Slime | Alyssum caught Marimo by lurking them out with some of her salamader food. To be quite honest Marimo wasn't keen on running around or being chased, and is quite happy Alyssum got them. They spend a lot of time hanging out around the potted plants in Alyssum's room and enjoy getting caresses.
Griffin ♀ Salamander | Griffin is pretty fierce and isn't easy to handle. Her fight-or-flight response is heavily weighed towards fight, and those who carelessly stick their hands into her environment will either get nipped or burned. She gets easier to handle the more familiar she is with you, though she's not the type for affectionate displays. Thankfully she gets along better with her fellow salamanders than she does people, or Alyssum would have had to keep her isolated. She can get pretty territorial about her perch spots though, and doesn't like sharing anything she thinks is hers.
Phoenix ♀ Salamander | Phoenix is one of Alyssum's easiest salamanders to handle. She's incredibly sweet, loves being petted, and doesn't startle easily. She has a healthy dose of curiosity, loves exploring and investigating new things, but she's also equally content to be in one place or be held for long periods of time.
Pixie ♂ Salamander | Pixie is a handful. While not as aggressive as Griffin, he's full of mischief. He's prone to escape attempts, either from his tank or from Alyssum's room. When running loose he often shows up in places you might not expect. He's a very nosy thing, and feels like nothing is off limits. He has a sweet temperament and is friendly enough, but can't stand being held for more than a few moments.
Faun ♀ Salamander | Alyssum found Faun wandering around at a Hunter's Jubilee festival and lured her over with a bit of fruit. Faun is very food-motivated and loves her treats, frequently nibbling on everything she encounters just to see if she'll like it. She's a very relaxed salamander, doesn't spook easily and takes being handled by strangers in stride. Just give her something yummy and she's good to go!
Sylph ♂ Salamander | Sylph found Alyssum at a Hunter's Jubilee festival. He saw her feeding another salamander and had to get in on that. Sylph if very bold and curious. Everything sparks his interest and he's not at all shy about poking around. Alyssum has to watch to make sure he doesn't poke at something that won't appreciate it.

Romance:
Alyssum has no particular preferences when it comes to romance. Honestly you could have one eye, protruding fangs, and the most bizarre color combinations ever seen. If she likes you then it has nothing to do with your physical appearance. That's not to say she doesn't have any sense of aesthetics or beauty, but her appreciation of these things isn't tied in to her romantic sense.
I'm all for puppy love (or kitten love, as may be the case) that starts out as purely friendship and grows into something else, only Alyssum never notices or just thinks there's a cultural gap and it's only a friendship ritual. This would be a long process kind of plot, since I think it would be cutest if the confession didn't happen until they were seniors. I would also be entertained to see a Bakeneko try to court her because they think they'd make pretty babies together. It would probably be several layers of frustration, but there's some potential for awesome feels. I wouldn't object if this started out as a bullying courtship of sorts since I like adversity, but we'd have to discuss it beforehand to make sure we didn't step over any lines we'd be uncomfortable with. A Naga would also be fun for the same reasons, only they either struggle with wanting to be with her and keeping their distance because they're sure she wouldn't accept them, or wanting to keep their own family line pure but are still attracted to the quiet little Bakeneko. I'm pretty open to other ideas though, these are just the two I had in mind.

Alyssum thinks salamanders are adorable. She has five already and hopes to get more in the future. She's also a fair hand with plants, since she keeps a few potted ones in her room for the salamanders to hide in. She spends a lot of time reading; usually school books, but she enjoys mystery novels. Anyone who might be able to find common ground with her might have an easier time of befriending her.
I kind of love the idea of Alyssum getting swept along with someone's enthusiasm. It would have to start out slow, since she won't let herself literally be dragged around to various places. Like maybe they start as partners for a class project, then after it's done they still drop by Alyssum's room all the time to chat and work on homework together. I would actually adore making this a slow plot; starting out with the aforementioned things as freshlings, then as juniors they've progressed to getting Alyssum out of her room from time to time. As seniors their relationship as friends would be super close (she'll probably tell them to call her Alys (pronounced Alice) by mid-junior stage) and very natural to Alyssum. This could even end up being romantic, just depends on how things go. If you're interested in this and things take, I will actually make sure to synchronize growth stages just to keep to character.
Rivals:
Alyssum is super quiet and a little standoff-ish. Some people might see it as an attitude, like she thinks she's better than them. Some people might think she just needs "fixing" and take it upon themselves to try to change her and make her talk more often, or try to drag her out to different places. She's also quite smart, so maybe there could be a classroom rival? Anything that revolves around her social problems could work, really.
Maybe someone doesn't particularly like Bakenekos? This could be any of the other Nightmares or Daydreams. Or maybe even a Naga or another Bakeneko takes a particular dislike to Alyssum. Maybe she doesn't follow their customs the way they feel she should? She's a solid dark brown, so while she's not the preferred black or white she could still pass one her solid color trait and produce those desired offspring. Someone a bit snobbish might have a problem that Alyssum doesn't seem to care about this, nor favor her race over any of the others?
