"Bugs? A...as long as it's no...not like a roach, why?" She blinked, when Chessy skipped off, and closed her eyes, as asked. She held out her hand, which actually... had a ring in it that she'd picked up, thinking Chessy would like it, and said "All right, but... I... I... guh-got this for you... juh...just so you know."DeeJaye For Chessy: Kama wandered over the refreshments, and grabbed a cup of Pink Punch, then turned to see who was nearby. He spotted a lovely pink Neko nearby, who seemed to be alone, and slipped up to her, smiling warmly. "Hello there, miss. Quite the gathering, isn't it? So many lovely flowers... And I seem to have stumbled on one of the rarest blooms." Niamh picked up a nearby seal pup plushie, hoping she didn't upset Azriel.Quote: Claiming 1 Seal Pup, 1 Punch, and a ring being gifted to DeeJaye's Chessy Points: Delilah: 20 + 19 + 5 +20 + 16 = 90 Kama: 20 + 18 +1 + 18 + 12= 79

Margret wasn't going so well with these games. "I hate this stuff." But with one final throw, she made it into the goal and was awarded a plush prize! Orea wanted to try her hand at the games. They seemed popular enough. With a few unsuccessful tries, she managed to snag a cute plush. Points: 5/2 - 1 5/3 - 16 5/4 - 7 5/5 - 19Food. That seemed to be the only thing that was keeping his mind occupied. He needed to chat up one of these teachers or something...

Well he was a bit surprised at the book answer, not so much the pranks answer. He tended to expect some sort of mischief from geists. It was a common enough trait. Maybe he should be glad that he was being talked to instead of being pranked. Ah well he supposed if the prank was creative enough he wouldn’t mind too terribly falling victim to it, as long as no lasting damage occurred. Heavens knew that it was something he had to get used to with his sister being who she was. “Well it seems to be raspberry. The kids loss I suppose” Horus mused after popping one in his mouth, well at least this piece was raspberry. “Ah…probably should give you my name. I’m Heru.” He paused for a second, “Or Horus if you want to be all technical.” He much preferred the nickname. “Hmmm I hadn’t quite planned that far yet. Most of my effort went into actually getting myself here. I could try dancing or games, probably more games than dancing. Prissy elves tend to equal elaborate house dinners/parties which end with dancing.” Of course that meant hours and hours of dance classes to make sure that you didn’t make a fool of yourself and insult your ancestors. Horus had definitely had enough dancing to last a life time. there were also all the new students to consider meeting if Horus was inclined at least. Of course he suddenly frowned as in taking a sip of punch he realized it wasn’t entirely liquid. Grabbing a nearby napkin he spit out his drink to realize there was a ring of all things… Nightmares…

Alto wasn’t entirely sure what he was doing here. After all he couldn’t convince his twin to come and it was loud, crowded and had a bunch of people who were all ridiculously taller than the Baphomet. Still he had missed the last couple of festivals and parties where always a good way to check out what new species had shown up. Still he did like to meet new people and this was the perfect opportunity… even if it was supposedly for older couples… like romantic older couples. They had plushies though. So it had to mean that even freshlings could have a bit of fun right? Besides if he thought about it maybe he was stalking up for later when he was older and had a special some one of his own. Yeah… suddenly the party didn’t seem too bad. Free candy and planning for the future… or at least that’s what he would like to think. He kept bumping into various seniors and juniors. He needed to totally skitter out of here and find another freshling. Ah… wait was that that one... they seemed kind of lost. Alto would love to help as soon as he could squeeze himself through the crowd to get over there. Ugh why was Suijin here again? Well mostly because he hadn’t been out to the school’s festivals lately. He had been busy with homework for the last three and his candy supply was getting pretty low that and apparently the caretakers where all worried at his lack of socialization. He had half a mind to prank them. He’d be able to get them pretty good he figured since he wasn’t often one for mischief. He had the whole ‘it would come from who they would least suspect’ thing going for them. Still plushies and candy where to be obtained so he sucked it up and went to this prom thing. It was way too overly lovey dovey. Obviously for older couples, although he did notice some interesting plushies and it was kind of fun to look at the new species that had come to the school. Huh it seemed like they almost got someone new every festival. Well he was here. Now what did he do? Hmm maybe grab one of those punches going around. He noticed a couple had hidden surprises in them. Huh couldn’t those be considered choking hazards? Ah well no one had died at the school to his knowledge. Maybe he could find someone else and tag along with their master plan. He wasn't above tagging along just so he wasn't sitting hre looking bored against the wall.

will edit tomorrow morning [senior]Kyra's points: 59 zinnia was playing some games when she saw an adorable seal plushie, she desperately wanted it so she could take it home with her so she could have one to match the pink plushie she had at home, after a few games she was able to score a win as she picked it out and took it from the staff member ruining the stand as she snuggled it gently " thank you!" she said before heading off to go show zinnia.
[only here for games] azriel wandered about happily as he looked around for something he could get for his big sister, they both loved candy so he looked for the nearest stand with anything sweet, there was punch candy bags and candy floss, he grinned and went over to get the candy floss, there were 3 colors he stared at them for w while keeping his eye on the pink one" we both like pink it would be a perfect gift!" he thought as he asked for the pink candy floss as he then began to carry it around looking for her" Bibbi! Bibbi are you here?" He called out among the noise hoping his big sister was here, and if she wasn't he would have to go back to the academy so he could go see her.

[senior]Zinnia's points:: 52 Zinnia was considering winning more boutiques of flowers when she heard Kyra all out with a happy smile on her face. zinnia looked at the cute little seal plushie as she giggled " I never would of took you for liking plushies" she said as kyra blushed slightly " there is nothing wrong with liking plushies" she said as Kyra felt a little embarrassed " Don't worry." zinnia said with a giggle "I'am only picking on you" she said as she hugged Kya who soon hugged her back.
[not entering] azure was stunk on winning games for a while. but he couldn't win anything in his last run, he played darts,ping-pong ball toss, a few different types of ball throwing ones, but he was out on his luck and growing tired of the games and crowded place. as he headed towards one more game he saw a stand with candy " blhe. " he said as candy just wasn't his thing, but then he realized it most freshlings loved candy so he picked something out and headed back to were the freshlings were seen last , surely he was here but he had been to distracted to see if he had even come.

Raleka took another attempt at a game, but didn't do very well this time. It was one of those throwing games, and she'd never been very good at those. Her lilac eyes searched through the dance floor for somebody to talk to, but nobody she knew could be seen from here. In fact, the very thought of moving among the gyrating bodies made her feel a little anxious. She thought briefly about the duo of siblings she'd began interning for, and smiled The hybrid wasn't very good at making new friends, but this thing seemed to be going well so far. She wondered what they'd think of her growing collection of plushies. Raleka began to move toward the refreshments table, hoping to take a break.

Annie watched the other kids play with the machine, patting the head of the Kidden behind him. These were always so hard! But it seemed that this one in particular gave out prizes pretty easily. "I'll try!" he said excitedly, allowing Mavis to crawl up onto his shoulder before sidling in front of the machine. The little claw caught a heart locket, and he quickly draped his prize around his neck. It was so pretty, and it even had green in it, as well as purple, the color of his mom's eyes! "This was a pretty good one!" he exclaimed, then turned to look for more games.
"How 'bout that one?" he said, pointing toward one of the booths that held a game where you had to knock down bottles with a thrown ball. It seemed to be deserted, but also littered with prizes ripe for the picking.

Flax laughed at how Laurel was keeping the plush with her. Although there were no other reliable options, he still thought it was cute that they had a little dancing companion. He moved along with her, even getting a little closer than he might have normally dared in public. Neither of them were particularly skilled dancers, but as long as they were having fun, Flax felt it didn't really matter! Finally, flushed in the face, he was tired. "I'm not very athletic," he joked, panting. Even though dancing wasn't his forte, he was still having fun. "Want to go back for drinks again?" Perhaps they'd come back to the floor when a slower song was played.

Samara eyeballed the ring Heru had spit into his hand. "Wow. I can't imagine that does anything for the taste of the punch." She quickly finished off her own drink while scanning the game booths, looking for something interesting. Drink gone, she set her cup down. "I'm Samara. You can call me Sam for short if you like short names, though people are always pretty hesitant to give me nicknames. I guess it just sounds super casual or something." While almost always quite forward, she tended to be a bit more polite upon first meeting people, so she didn't actually reach out and grab Heru's hand to pull him off to play games. She did bounce a little on the balls of her feet though, and there was an excited, eager cast to her features. "We should go find some games to play! I haven't tried any yet, they're not as fun when you're on your own." Then she gave Heru a look like a puppy. A lost, abandoned puppy. Sitting on your doorstep. In the rain. During a thunderstorm. Pretty much the biggest and most pleading her eyes could get. I'll have her win this in a game next post or two.

Freddy chuckled and pushed his hair back, mimicking the stereotype cool-guy-in-a-leather-jacket persona. "Well my moves are totally awesome, so I think we'll be fine." He hoped his silliness caused Nef to smile rather than groan. "But nah, I don't know any of those fancy dances that require all those steps. I just like to move however the music makes me feel." He did a quick little dance of his own to the music. It probably looked quite ridiculous compared to people who had an actual style of dance that they stuck with and practiced, but Freddy still managed to sell it. Part of dancing was just not worrying how it looked, but just going forward and moving how you felt. Confidence and fun made any dance look just fine. Freddy finished with a silly little bow to Nef, then impishly snagged her hand holding the drink and took a careful sip from it. He wasn't winded or anything, but his mouth had started to feel dry. "I think we'll do just fine with our crazy dancing," he said, grinning and really wishing he dared tug on a strand of Nef's hair. Skipping prize claim for today.C-C-CaFFIENE Well I don't know about better, but we'll see what I can do! XD Junior Prom Regent Points: 87

Liam fidgeted nervously as he waited outside the main festivities for the arrival of his....date? He instantly shuddered at the thought. It had nothing to do with Echo herself. She was quiet and hard to get a read on, but she seemed likable enough. It was actually one of the reasons he'd asked her to attend the Ball with him. Both of them were used to working alone, so the idea of working with another person was a bit...uncomfortable. Socially speaking, Liam knew he was quite out of practice from how he used to be. He liked Echo's work though, and he hoped she liked his. If they decided in the end that partnership didn't hold enough benefits to make the endeavor worth it, he still hoped to get some inspiration from her to help improve his own work. In any case it couldn't hurt to play a gentleman and ask her out to a social event in order for them to get to know each other better as people rather than crafters. Right? Liam fidgeted again. Probably the reason he was so nervous right now was because, no matter how he painted it, this still smelled vaguely date-ish. Well considering they were two college students attending an event largely for Academy students, and event which did have a decidedly romantic stamp on it, it was hard not to jump at the shadows of romance. Liam's expression tightened slightly. He'd decided when he came here that he was having nothing to do with romance. Never did he want to put himself in such a vulnerable position again; he was still picking up all the pieces of his heart, never mind trying to shape it all back into a mockery of what it used to be. He glanced down at the plushie he held in his hands. He'd gotten it for Echo. It seemed only polite to get her a gift, since this was supposed to be a pleasant night at a social event. Flowers were way too couple-ish and he didn't know her well enough to get her any kind of jewelry, so the plushies had seemed the safest course. 'Not romance, just friends. Not romance, just friends,' he chanted in his mind, trying to calm his fidgets. The whole point of this was to get to know each other in a social, festive setting, and he was determined not to let his more anti-social tendencies screw things up. Heck, a year ago he'd been good at this sort of stuff. He would just have to manage, that's all. Yushika For Echo

Yihad was curious about this above tradition that was called the Spring Ball, coming to the event being held here to see what it was exactly. There was a few other nightmares or daydreams hu recognized from hus classes, but none of them hu really knew. Then again, Yihad still didn't have any real friends as of right now. Hu was still as shy as the day hu started school here, but these events had helped hum some. After receiving a necklace from one of the games, Yihad was about to put it on when hu noticed what looked to be a nightmare all alone, looking sadly at a ring they probably just got. What was hu to do? Surely hu shouldn't just leave the poor gal alone. After quickly looking at the necklace for a bit, hu finally decided to be brave and try to give it to her. Perhaps she would enjoy it? Making hus way over to her, hu tried hard to push any self-doubt aside, although it pushed back just as hard. What if the stranger wasn't appreciative of hus gift? What if hu messed up his speech and the stranger laughed at hum? Despite all this, hu made hus way toward her with a tremble in hus step, reaching out hus hand and offering the gift ", I saw you were alone... so I... I wanted to give you something and see if you were alright?"(Necklace was given of Somansh) Looking down at the ring that had been handed out to her Somansh wondered if she could ever truly feel welcomed in this world. Her wings were a constant reminder that she really wasn't a part of either of her heritages. Fallen and Chimera were supposed to be able to fly, but she could not. Her whole life she had felt the glaring eyes of fellow chimera and fallen as they looked upon her half wings. One side was a fallen wing, the other a chimera. Even coming here to the academy, she still felt eyes watching her with disgust at her unfortunate condition. She belonged nowhere. Out of nowhere though she heard a quiet voice though, looking up to see a litch offering her something. Were they a part of her classes? It would seem so, since hu was about her age it looked like ", You... you can to see if I was alright?"This litch had taken time out of hus life to just ask if she was alright? Was she even worth the time? Apparently this litch did, and they were even going her a necklace to try and cheer her up! All those terrible thoughts she had been thinking about before slowly began to fade as a smile came across her lips, reaching for the necklace and taking the gift gratefully ", Thank you from checking on me, and for the gift. I'm Somansh. What is your name?" Junior Points: (I sure hope I am doing this right) Yihad 12 Somansh 18

Echo hadn't expected the offer to the dance, though she hadn't showed surprise when she accepted. She was sure Liam had good reasons behind the offer, perhaps to soothe the uncomfortable tension they both subtly held onto. Neither were quite people orientated, and the idea of working together meant breaking some of that barrier down and continuously putting up with the company of another. Echo wasn't sure she was able to do that, but the offer to meet at an event seemed fair. Liam wasn't unlikeable, far from it. He was quiet, behaved, and honest. He didn't expect her to emote like others did, and he didn't push her. He was a nice man, it was just that Echo wasn't accustomed to all of.... this. Talking. Meetings. Dances. Sure, she had adopted a kid, but that... was different. That child needed a home, and they were young when she adopted them. Echo had no issues with kids. It was adults that caused the imp to pause.
She had slipped into a simple but pretty dress, slipping on small heels that wrapped around the ankle and adorning her usual jewelry. She was, again, late, but only by five minutes. When she did arrive she spotted the naga relatively quickly, and a plushie, which her eyes lingered on for a few seconds before she closed the distance between them. The much smaller lady looked up at her naga companion, head tilting to the side slightly.
"Am I late....?" The slightly monotone voice rang out, eyes once more looking at the plushie before she tore her eyes away. It was cute, and she may be a tad jealous he had it. But, she couldn't let him know that, oh no no.
