Niamh giggled as she played more games. Her next prize claim was the blue and purple fennekit plush, completing her collection of Fennekit plushes for this festival!
Raleka nodded, saying, "Food games sound fun!" It seemed that, at this event, all they had was candy. Raleka couldn't help but feel a little hyped up on sugar, even though she had only eaten a small amount. Plus, even a little bit of fruit could do her some good. Her stomach seemed to clench a little at the thought of eating, and she was expecting it to give an agreeing grumble.
As they walked down the row of booths, the aroma of the food grew stronger. Raleka was surprised she hadn't smelled it clearly when she had first come into the festival. There were all kinds of delicacies, but her mouth watered at the bit when she heard the faint sizzle of frying foods. "Which would you like to do?" she asked Morginn, excitement sparkling in her lavender eyes.
Claiming 12 points for today. This makes a total of 38 points this week.
Topaz held the hand of the tiny Baphomet trotting along next to her, the biggest smile on her face. There was a lot of joy and wonder in festivals, but nothing really captured it like the wide eyes of a child. Quartz was still really young and Topaz had been reluctant to bring her to the festival, but she had begged with the biggest blue eyes Topaz had ever seen, and in the end she'd agreed under the condition that they stay together, hands held and everything.
She felt Quartz tug against her hand a bit and looked down to see the freshling eyeing a game with longing. "Want to play," Topaz asked?
Quartz nodded, eyes huge with curiosity, excitement, and a little intimidation. This was their very first festival. It was supposed to be ending soon and who knew when the next one would happen, so when Topaz had seemed a little reluctant Quartz brought out her most persuasive pout. She was a little sad her siblings couldn't be with her, but Topaz had said that Keira would bring them if they wanted to go, and having two little wiggly children to look after was too many!
The game looked simple. You tried to catch little skyfish on a pole. Quartz wondered if they were real skyfish at first, but they didn't move with the same grace she'd imagined they would have. She and her mother both played at the same time, and each caught a fish. Quartz was super excited to see if she'd won, and wondered what prize she might pick. The nice lady at the stall gave her a smile after checking the fish Quartz caught, and let her pick from a bunch of bracelets. Quartz picked a pretty blue one. Topaz picked out a similar bracelet. "For your sibling, just in case they didn't get to come out today." Quartz nodded, wishing she'd thought of it.
Jaden was looking around for another game to lay and keeping an eye out for any more flying plushies. He'd made sure to leave his familiars behind in his room, not wanting them to get in the way, thought Sprinkles had protested. He was starting to get a bit chilly though, and shivered. Just then he felt someone touch his shoulder. He looked around startled, and noticed an adult Fallen. "Come over here, I've got something warm you can drink," they said. Jaden hesitated, but didn't want to be rude, so he followed.
The Fallen apparently had a booth of their own, and was selling some amazing smelling tea. They set Jaden down and handed him a mug. They also handed him a plushie, stating that someone gave it to them but they really had no need for it so Jaden should take it and enjoy it. He sat and sipped the warm beverage while holding the plushie, watching people work around him.
Samara eyeballed all the things going on. It was one heck of a time to transfer to the Academy, but she was glad she had. Not that her home town didn't celebrate in grand fashion, but there was a lot of novelty to being somewhere new. She kind of hoped she might spot her sister, but there were so many people and it was hard to get a look at any freshling or junior before they vanished into the crowd.
Looking around did have one benefit. She spotted a cute little jackalope hiding under a table, looking a bit spooked. She lured the cute familiar out with a treat she had in her pocket, and carefully tucked it in the crook of her arm. It would be nice to have a pet!
Laurel had a special bounce in her step as she explored the festival grounds. She was out alone, and hadn't told Flax. He would probably be mega bummed if he found out, especially now that they were officially dating, but Laurel really wanted to get something nice for him to surprise him! It wasn't fair that he was always doing nice little things for her, and if she was his girlfriend now she was going to have to try to get in the occasional surprise gift as well!
There was a game with the cutest plushies up for grabs that looked simple enough! Laurel was pretty strong and had good aim, and she managed to get all the bottles down on her first try. She picked her desired plushie and gave it a happy squeeze. Hopefully Flax would love it!

Shhhh, don't tell Flax that Laurel went down to the festival without him!
Freddy was wondering if he should try to hunt down some friends, or try making new ones. Not that he wasn't enjoying himself, but a festival about relationships, romantic or otherwise, just wasn't really the same when you wandered it alone. He had met some pretty awesome people already, but there were lots of people running around and he couldn't be expected to hog them all. He kept an eye out for anyone else wandering around on their own, and that was how he noticed a blue and brown little blip keeping to the side. It wasn't easy to spot them, but he managed! Being pretty sneaky himself, he ghosted over and introduced himself with a cheery "Hello" once he got in range.
Rowan was still not feeling much of an urge to play any more games after that last one. They didn't particularly see the point and didn't see anything that caught their eye. In fact the only prizes they'd gotten today that had been unexpectedly awesome were the free books. Likely nothing educational, but one never knew where one might find the inspiration that led them to achieve something amazing, so Rowan considered all books worth while.
Speaking of... Rowan spotted a stand up ahead that had a promising look. They hurried forward, and sure enough it was another table of free books. They looked through the stack, and picked one out.
Alyssum was a wee bit ashamed to admit that she jumped. She was less ashamed of the jump and more ashamed that someone got the drop on her. Still, these Geist people were quite sneaky. It was something she'd managed to observe so far, seeing how those odd tendrils that stuck to them flared around a lot and constantly seemed to blur in and out of focus.
This particular Geist didn't look like he should be able to sneak as well as he did. He was short and round, pretty solid looking at the moment, and had that grinning cheerful look of someone with a lot of mischief and energy in them. A little cautiously, Alyssum nodded a greeting.
Raising a brow as she stepped back from Malachi, Hailey smirked for a moment before a faux look of shock and hurt took over her face. "'Dark'? 'Dark'?! Why in the world would you say such things about your girlfriend?!" Pouting as she continued to pretend being hurt and put out by his remark, she peered back over her shoulder. An ever so slight smirk peeked up on her lips before disappearing as she turned her attentions back to Malachi. "You have wounded me sir. Wounded!" and grabbing up a couple arrows from the table behind her, she tossed one at Malachi. "You sir, shall pay for marring my good name!"
Malachi's eyes grew wide and he fumbled trying to catch and hold onto the arrow that was tossed at him. He was actually a bit surprised it hadn't been thrown like a dart. Hmmm... But to what pur-- that question was answered quickly as Hailey lunged at him, arrow held out like a sword. "Crap! Hailey!" he shouted as he dodged the first attack.

As Dodger held the little bat as gently, but firm as he could, it began to wriggle in his hold. He spoke softly to it to try and be comforting. "Hey hey lil guy... don't move around so much. You could hurt yourself even more. Don't worry. I'mma take good care of you, okay?" He didn't have a ton of money to his name, but he decided he would take the poor little critter to the vet.
After dropping the little Nuzbat off at the vet office, Dodger came back to the party to try and just relax. As he was walking past a little trinket table, he noticed a cute little purple locket. He wasn't sure why he wanted to, but he picked it up and tucked it away, deciding that he should hold onto it for some reason.
Matty couldn't help loving the time he got to spend with Ryker while they were out together. And gods knew he loved the man for sharing his chocolates with him! Happily, he snitched one up and popped it in his mouth, chewing on it happily. "Mmmm baby! you know how to get right to my heart!" he said, smirking as he snitched one more. He couldn't help himself! Chocolate, man! "Well, I'm always game for watching you fail at games. But if you're done with that sort of thing... hmmm..." Looking about, Matty spied a photo booth sort of thing. "OH! Non-selfie pictures!" and with that, he grabbed Ryker's sweater and yanked him right over. Pushing him into the booth, Matty sat on Ryker's lap and grinned.

"Well that went super..." Pawsa said to herself in both an annoyed, yet slightly amused tone. "I guess I know skee ball is not for me, then!" and a laugh rang out from her as she turned about, ready to tackle something else. But!, it really didn't take long for something unplanned to catch her attention. Books. Not just any kind of books, though. Oh no. They looked like those trashy romance novels that you'd pick up in line at the store, hoping nobody noticed that you just grabbed one. With an amused smirk as she picked one up, skimming through the first few pages. Yup... she needed this trashiness in her life, and so Pawsa slipped the book into her pack.
Feeling quite pleased with himself now knowing that he had a friend he felt comfortable with enough to share something such as a ring with, Ezekiel beamed proudly. It wasn't every day that a young man found someone he'd consider good enough to rule the world with himself, after all. He was grinning to himself while an entire inner monologue began to play through his mind about a great many things.
Mai Tai raised a brow, curious yet not about what her friend was thinking. Shaking her head, she yawned then looked about. A cute little jackalope plushie caught her attention. Wandering over to where it was, she smiled as it was handed to her, cuddling it close as she thanked the nightmare who passed it to her.
