Morginn hummed a quiet little tune to himself as he patiently browsed through the racks at the local thrift shop, antennae twitching like a second pair of ears while his wings fluttered every so slightly now and again. He liked thrift shopping. One might find a garment made from an interesting fabric that could be scavenged, gain inspiration from older styles, or even find something that just needed a dye job and a little bit of patching up to be amazingly cute. The fact that it was super cheap was just a bonus in his eyes. He was just bored. With winter set in he didn't like to leave his dorm unless necessary, but there was also only so long one could spend one's time cooped up. He was hoping to find inspiration for a project, something that could allow him to hole up for a while without wanting to bounce off the walls in boredom. Plus he had to restock on food for himself and his familiars, so might as well make the most of the trip into town! [quote"One Little Jay"]

Dahmin skipped through the little town square humming a cheery tune to her self. Today she needed to find a place that would help her find costumes for a community play she was arranging the only problem with that was that she was not well off, nor did she have much experience in clothing making/ fashion at all. as it was apparent by her current outfit. She never really wore anything that was particularly fancy, she seemed to do poorly in choosing clothes. Walking into a little thrift store she began to look at fabrics and clothing, though it could be quite apparent from the look on her face that she was utterly lost and hadn't the slightest clue what she was looking for. She was lost in a world of things she new little of. "Oh why did I have to volunteer" she muttered under her breath looking hoplessly at all the different things before her. [OOC: Dahmin will be getting a make over soon, perhaps wwe could write it into these two freindships that Morginn was the one to help her decide on a new one]

Morginn didn't look up when he heard the tinkle of the bell signaling more customers either entering or leaving, nor did he pay too much attention whenever he heard footsteps walking around the racks close to the ones he was browsing. His attention was mostly taken up by the garments. "Oh why did I have to volunteer"The voice came almost directly across from him, probably on the other side of the same rack, so he couldn't help but hear it. He was short, even by Fey standards, so he had to stand on tip toes to look over the rack. The first things he noticed were a set of curly horns and a worried expression. "Can't find the right thing," he asked curiously, with a touch of sympathy. Sometimes finding the perfect thing was so difficult, especially if you were shopping for someone else as it sounded like this Nightmare was doing.

Dai was beginning to loose hope that she could do the task she had been entrusted with. She stared helplessly at the endless racks of clothing, she had three outfits she needed to get, for the three main leads in their final number. There had been a mix up with the usual company and the costumes were on back order. With the show only a week away she would have to find a good substitute. She didn't know exactly where the voice came from at first. until she noticed a small fey on their toes looking at her. Instantly she blushed and became a little flustered. "I'm beginning to think I am a lost cause. I really don't know the first thing about outfits." She shook her head. "Not to mention they aren't even for me, and I have a bunch of different measurements to consider." She glanced down at the list of numbers she now held in her hand. OOC: That awkward moment you realize her name is Daimhin and not Dahmin]

Morginn's antennae stood up and wiggled towards the Nightmare at the mention of outfits. He was usually able to work with the people he made outfits for, but sometimes he took orders though other methods and had to work with written measurements. He had a similar procedure with the few stores in the area that bought his outfits; usually they just requested things in the most popular sizes, since there was no telling who would end up buying the clothing. "Need some help? I'm a fashion student at Grendel, so I know a thing or two about measurements. Plus I'm in here all the time, so maybe I could point you in the right directions!" He smiled charmingly, though the effect was probably lost with half his face hidden by the clothes rack. "It'll be no trouble. I'm at loose ends at the moment."

Daimhin was not ont who often accepted help, she was a go and get it yourself kind of girl. However at this point it was very clear that she was infact out of her league. Perhaps the help of this fey wouldn't turn out to be so bad.'I guess you can help me" she made her way around the rack facing him, she was pretty tall by bap standards so she looked down at the fey and handed him the price of paper with measurementis. "It's for my theater group. The costumes for the final act are on back order so I have to find something else that works." One could probably tell by the tome of her voice she believed this was a lost cause. [OOC: I have her new out fit too!!]

Morginn was glad he had grown up among Dryads. Of course everyone he had met was at least a little bit taller than him, but at least he didn't feel intimidated by how much the Baphomet loomed over him. Compared to some of the Dryads he had met in Above, she was short! He took the list with a thoughtful hum and started pursuing it. His wings drifted slightly open and shut on his back while his antennae wiggled furiously. After a few moments, he looked up. "This should be doable," he said, furiously calculating numbers and locations in his brain. "Really it depends on how much money you have to spend and how much time you have before you need them. I could make something like this from scratch. It would look the best, but it can get pricey and takes a lot of time. If you don't have much of either we could probably find the things you need at thrift stores, and maybe a few crafts stores, and I could alter them to look like they should." Clearly Morginn had already decided he would be part of this. He badly needed something to do, and it also seemed like this Baphomet was a little out of her depth and needed help. Even if he'd been in the middle of classes and super busy he'd have been happy to try to help!

One Little Jay Daimhin she watched at the Fey looked over the list she handed him, her face was visably relieved when he said it could be done. "I don't have very much money to be honest, and I need them in two weeks so I don't really have time to send away for them to be done either!" She frowned realizing what she was asking was hard. 'It think re-sale shops might be best, I know I can't make clothes for the life of me, I mean look at me! I'm a walking fashion disaster!" She laughed she was half teasing but was pretty much being honest. She was glad that it looked like the fey would be helping her, 'I'm Daimhin by the way, but most people just call me Dai" she held out a hand to shake. [OOC: I have her new out fit too!!] jinxgirl5 This would be in her old outfit the one in the image.

Morginn took the offered hand and gave it a shake, grinning cheerfully. "I'm Morginn. And I wouldn't beat yourself up. You've got a fun vibe coming from your outfit, and your colors are pretty much on point! If you're looking for a different style though, I'd be happy to make suggestions while we work on this list. We might even be able to find something cute at a bargain!" He tapped a finger to his chin with his antennae wiggling as he turned to consider the rack before him. He poked at a few shirts, which he ended up passing by for one reason or another, until he found a few that might work. "These would be a good start. I can alter them to a more appropriate style, no problem. Do you have any pictures of the look you're going for with these costumes? I might be able to find something that would work as decoration or trim if that's what they're supposed to have." As he started to sort through the rack holding pants and skirts, a flash of green caught Morginn's eye. He snatched up a short skirt with a bow attached to the waist band and held it in front of Dai. "Oooh, that's cute! It can be fun or business, depending on what you pair it with. What do you think?"

Daimhin smiled as Morginn introduced himself, "that would be nice, Gods know I'm lost!" She watched him as he pulled out one thing after another then not choose that and pick up something else entirely. "Well I have pictures of the original outfit that are on back order" she pulled out a catalog from her bag and handed it to him. "The bottom three on that page and the top two on the next." When Morginn pushed the skirt at Dai she looked at it and cocked her head to the side, it was different and she liked that, "I like it very much, if you think that it would work I'm willing to give it a try!" She took it and held it up to her going to look in a mirror along the wall. [OOC: I have her new out fit too!!] jinxgirl5 This would be in her old outfit the one in the image.

Morginn took the catalog and looked it over. It helped a great deal, and he was able to select a few different things while putting back some of the other stuff he'd selected that wouldn't work as well. Along the way he also found a really nice shirt that looked like it would complement Dai's skin tone, as well as a short-cut jacket and a nice scarf. He slogged his way back over to the Baphomet, arms laden. "I think this stuff should do for a good start, and everything else would just be extra adornment that can be added on if there's time, to make it look better. The things on the very top are for you to try though, if you think you might like them." One Little Jay -nods- I know. I've been going into your journal to stare at her new outfit from time to time.

Dai looked at the pile of clothes that Morginn had picked out she picked up each piece one by one inspecting them. "Yes these will do nicely." She then looked at the clothes that Morginn had brought over for her, she had to admit they were definitively more stylish than the ones she had on currently. "Do you think I could pull this look off?" She smiled brightly holding the clothes up to her. They looked like they would be the perfect fit, and she hadn't even given Morginn her measurements. " You're good at this you could tell my perfect size just by looking at me" then looking down at the other things he had brought she smiled. "And I couldn't have found this stuff without you, you really are a life saver!" She let out a light hearted giggle. [OOC:We can wrap this up whenever!]

Morginn blushed, antennae wiggling in pleasure. "Aw, don't mention it. I just have a lot of practice with clothes, so it comes pretty naturally to me. I'm glad you like the outfit though, and I'm positive you can pull it off!" He had been keeping track of the sum of all the clothes he'd picked out for the costumes. He rattled off the price to Dai. "If that sounds okay then we can check these out and get to work on alterations. It would definitely help if I could meet the people who will be wearing the costumes, so I can make them more comfortable and presentable. They should be able to stand up to some scrutiny until the actual costumes arrive from back order." One Little Jay If you want this can be the last post, or you can do one last post to close things up?
