 Some time had passed since Nenet had wandered the halls. She was starting to get a touch bored, and likely her mother was going to start questioning what was keeping the child so long.

 Quartz was still chasing along after the slimes. She still hadn't picked any one in particular that she wanted, but she did note several that caught her eye. While she was still having a lot of fun, she decided to put a bit more effort into trying to catch one of the slimes. She didn't want to hurt them, thought they seemed to be quite sturdy. She tried to run up and scoop one up, but there were always just a bit too fast for her She saw a few people trying to leap to catch them, but that seemed to risky. There had to be a way...

 Just as Nenet turned around to head for the exit, a particularly fluffy looking slime bounced it way over to her, batting its large eyes at her with curiosity. Perhaps this was her destined one? Nenet kneeled down before the slime, reaching out with her fingers to try and touch it, and the slime scooted closer, nuzzling in to her hand. She scooped the familiar in to her arms, turned around once more, and started heading home in silence, a small smile in place on her petal shaped lips. The hybrid would have to come up with a good reason as to why she had the slime, and why Nenet had decided it was a good idea to bring it home, but Nenet figured she wouldn't mind.

 Iah was quite happy to of been taken into a family in the area, two teachers who worked at the academy and had children already to call their own that he could play with. After expressing the need for someone he could call a family, Aqua'Glow had volunteered to take him in for the time being. Sure he wasn't their child, but it was kind of like a foreign family deal going on while he was away from his family. Today after being dropped off though, he found himself being surrounded by slimes, deciding to try and catch one for himself. Surely it wouldn't be too hard to befriend one right? Turns out it was harder than it looked, him not being fast enough to end up catching any of the slimes around the place. Did none of them want to be his friend?

 Topaz wasn't having much luck with her herding. It was like the slimes knew what she was doing. She would get them right up to the point where she wanted them, and then they'd all peel off and scatter. If she had more people this would probably go a lot easier, but it seemed like the chase was a free-for-all at the moment. A couple times her little herds had even been scattered by other people running about and giving chase to all the other slimes scattered about. Topaz was determined to keep trying though, since she was positive running would have little effect. She spotted a cluster of three slimes and ran at them, trying to herd them towards her chosen niche.

 His instrument slung over his shoulder in it's case, Lazarus just kind of stood there for a bit after coming out of his door room. All around him were... slimes? Were these slimes? They sure did look like something of the sort... kind of. What was he supposed to do about them? Catch them? Huh, that may not be a bad idea. After all, maybe he could keep one later on! As he began to chase them around, he wished that he could just set his case down and chase after them, but then he could lose it and never find it again. His instrument wasn't exactly cheap, and he wasn't about to just set it down and let it out of his sight.

Malachi somehow found the will to actually laugh and grin as he got up and chased after more of the slimes. He missed about three different ones this go, but he was more determined than ever now!Exodus came to the academy to visit when he heard about the excitement. Needless to say, he was all sorts of strange and goofy about this as he went after the little things after bringing his son out to play, too! He missed, but that was half the fun!... well, the chase!Ezra came out when his dad came for him, taking in the sights with wide eyes. He tried going after a slime, but tripped and scraped his knee. Sniffling, but trying his best not to cry, he got back up and tried again!

 Looking around the place for a way to possibly trap a slime or two, Aqua got the idea to use one of her bags, putting everything into the one and leaving the full bag in her office before rushing to catch a slime in the bag. This way she could have a way to snatch it despite them being so slick! Seeing one in the hallway outside the pool, she snuck up on it and launched her bag around it, catching the little guy way easier than before ", I got you! I got-... Oh! You look a bit dry." The little guy looked kind of like a nixie, so maybe it needed water? It would explain why it was in the hallway to the pool. It was full of moisture in the air. So what did she do about it? Heading over to the fountain (since she wasn't sure the pool water would be safe for it) she turned it on and let the slime have some water, the little guy getting excited and bathing in it to stay wet.

 Samara was starting to feel a bit frustrated. Even though it felt like she was getting closer and closer each time, she kept missing. Maybe hiding wasn't enough, maybe she needed a tool to help her with catching the slimes? She ran back to her dorm room, making a few passing attempts at slime capture along the way. What did she have that might tempt a slime... There was the food she had for Velvet. She didn't know if that would appeal to the slimes, since she wasn't sure what they ate. It was worth pocketing some of it to give it a shot though.

There had to be a way to catch one of these slimes right? Hmm... maybe he could leave out some food for them to eat then snatch them that way? He didn't really want to give up his lunch his foreign parents had made for him, but he really wanted to catch a slime! Setting out his sandwich, he waited to see if any of the slimes would come. Eventually he got hungry and took the sandwich for himself to eat, only to have a slime that kind of looked like those really fluffy not bakeneko nightmares jump into his lap and open its mouth to have a bit. Being nice, Iah let it have a bite, him ending up sharing his food with the slime.

Malachi got himself psyched up when he saw a cute little ethereal looking thing. Launching himself at it, he dived right into the ground again. Ugh... he would have to take a trip back home to mom just to get his clothes cleaned of grass stains! But... "Ahhahaha! I finally got one of you guys!" Exodus ran after the slimes like a nut. He grabbed at, jumped, dove, but wasn't seeming to get anywhere with these slimes! Not that he minded. This was hilariously fun and he just kept at it!Ezra had began to tear up from his fall, but that didn't stop him from getting back into having fun! Taking a grab at a slime, he giggled as he fell to the ground, holding onto it and snuggling it close.

Quartz was still debating the best way to catch a slime. She saw a lot of people running around with improvised bags. Should she try that? It still seemed a bit risky. Maybe some food? She didn't think she had anything on her though. She paused her running to pull her bag off her shoulders and dig into it. Maybe she had some leftover snacks? Nope, nothing. The cafeteria probably had lots of food. Maybe they wouldn't mind if she borrowed some? Quartz hitched her bag back on her shoulders and began jogging towards the cafeteria, playfully chasing some slimes along the way.

He wasn't about to leave his instrument behind... so maybe he could use it to attract some of the slimes? He doubted it, but it was the only thing he could come up with off the bat. Taking out his stringed instrument, he began to play a soft song and sang to it, the music overtaking him to the point he forgot what he was trying to do by playing. So far not a single slime had showed up, not a single one! However, Lazarus didn't know that, just simply being one with his music. It wasn't like he wasn't amazing at it, the slimes just weren't paying attention at the moment.

 Amatsu wasn’t sure why he was here of all things but his parents had familiars and he liked playing with them so it made sense to try to catch one right? Only problem was he wasn’t the best with animals or familiars that didn’t belong to his parents… and he could be a bit clumsy. So it wasn’t too surprising that he had ended up diving after one and ended up under a table and slamming his poor head on the bottom of the table. Luckily his more aggressive nature kicked in and he decided right then and there that he would be taking one home.

 Vincent hadn't gotten any closer to catching the slime he was chasing. After his failed jump he was trying to be a lot more careful, and no moment seemed like a good moment. Those slimes sure were wiggly! Vincent paused in his running, trying to think of a better way to catch the smiles than by just chasing them. If he'd had a net it probably would have been super easy! Or a snack. He didn't know what they ate, but he was pretty sure nothing could resist cookies. Alas, he had neither of these things on him. Could he trick the slimes by hiding? It was worth a shot. Vincent looked around 'til he found the nearest clump of bushes that could hide him, and settled in.
