Pachua then noticed the GREEN unicorn plushie and snagged that too! As Thurayya was inspecting some of the flowers, a blue fluffbug flew out and attached itself to her shoulder. "Well hello there, little friend!" She greeted it.Quote: One Green Unicorn Plush and One Blue Fluffbug! Points:Thurayya: 18 + 11 +15 = 44

Azriel was distracted with the familiars around the ball but as soon as he felt some one grab his hand he blushed slightly as he had never had anyone hold his hand before. he turned to see it was Niamh he nervously but happily nodded "I..I've never danced before. but i would like to try" he said as he smiled at her hoping he wouldn't step on her feet as took her to the dance floor to dance, in a spot were it was not overly crowded.

The small bakeneko was scampering about, amused by her small aetherjelly companion when another caught her gaze - dark blue, this one seemed to have entangled itself in some flowers. Making a soft gasp, the bakeneko rushed to its aid and with the help of her white aetherjelly friend, managed to free the dark blue one. Yay! More friends.

The imp smiled. "I would love that. 'Cause I'm sure anything you'd make would be a million times better than anything I could get at a store." Chessy giggled and pointed at the skyfish circling around Delilah's head. "Looks like you've found a friend." She admired the critter - how at ease it was... A true free spirit. It made her want one herself - perhaps she should look into getting one. Putting the idea in the back of her mind for later, she instead grasped one of Delilah's hands in her own, entwined their fingers together, and tugged on her gently. "Have you gotten a look around yet? I haven't and I wanna see where everything is. If that's okay with you~" she said, though Chessy was already heading in a miscellaneous direction.

Xiu, with her new skyfish friend snaking about her, was feeling much more confident and overall better about the situation. Jun would show up later, she decided, so no need to fret. Perhaps she would just lean back and relax! Enjoy the party. Smiling contently, she approached the food table and nabbed some candyfloss to snack on. When the skyfish squirmed, she offered the candyfloss to it, which it happily grabbed a mouthful and seemed to jitter from excitement.

As the bakeneko pranced about, confident and smug, he thought he could see Xiu in the distance. She had her own candyfloss and... a skyfish? He licked his lips, as it made him a little hungry to see the fish flying around but....no, no, Xiu probably thought of it as her friend, as she had the tendency to befriend every critter. He harrumphed softly.

Now that the fey and her child had both obtained a fluffbug of their own, they set their attention back to the event. Estys, holding on firmly to her child's hand so she wouldn't wander away or get lost, looked at Atoli curiously and asked, "So was there anything you wanted to see in particular?" She could see Atoli shrug. "Hm. Alright then. Let's just walk around and see what grabs our attention then, right?"
The freshling nooded and holding on firmly to her bouquet of flowers in her other hand, tottered forward, clearly eager to lead the way. Her mother obliged, of course, and so she moved forward, eager to see what was around. She had stopped at a booth which was giving out daisy bracelets - advertised as a last minute addition for those that might of forgotten to accessorize with their dresses. Looking up anxiously at Estys - who smiled and nodded - Atoli snatched one of the bracelets and slipped it on her wrist. Points Estys (Senior) : 20 + 20 + 19 = 59

Margret was in her best outfit, knowing that she needed to be spiffy for this part. There were so many people! How could she have known that a thing called a prom was this big? Well, she did think there would be a lot of students, but not this many! It was almost worrying. What of the fire hazards? She thought about the time she played around with Alexander as firefighters. She wondered if the building was enchanted for this sort of thing. As her mind wandered, she noticed a little white Aetherjelly floating by the flower display. "Hey there... I don't think you should be in there." She reached for the creature, gently touching a tentacle. Orea finally got the lights on her belt to work and it made her feel better, but she was still alone in the sea of students and other party goers. She thought that maybe some fun. She was surprised to see that there were games for everyone to play and decided she would try her hand at one. It was simple, trying to toss a bean bag into a hole and on her third try, she made it! She wish she had someone to show off her impressive beanbag throwing skills to, but she sighed and took one of the cute plushies that were around for prizes. Points: 5/2 -1 5/3 - 16
Hemlock wasn't much of a "I'm going to hang out with a huge group of people" kind of guy. Small groups of friends were nice in his mind. It made it easy to keep track of them when they were off doing their own thing. But this... There were so many people. He had only wanted to come to get some free things. Maybe some food. At least he didn't know anyone there to have to look for if they managed to get lost. He sighed, making is way to a game that another had just finished playing. It required popping balloons with dars, but he could assume someone might use magic or something to aid them in success. He gave it a shot and didn't do so well. He scoffed. "Must be rigged." He mumbled, walking off with a ring that he felt would suit him.

Freddy couldn't deny that he grinned at Nef actually eating the candyfloss right out of his hand, but he didn't outright laugh or anything. It was hard not to; not only did Nef look very cute with her face all dismayed and such (and more of that weird feeling in his chest accompanying the thought of the word "cute"), but it also tickled where her hair brushed his hand. His grin only widened when Nef grabbed his hand and started pulling him along through the crowd. She always knew where the best adventures were to be had, and he was always willing to follow her lead. So when she let him go and gestured for him to stay while she went over to a booth, he nodded and proceeded to wait with good-natured patience. While he waited he glanced out on a dance floor, noting all the other students moving along to the music. He couldn't help but sway along to some of the tunes. Hopefully Nef was in the mood to do some dancing later, and willing to put up with likely ungraceful and awkward attempts. He wasn't clumsy or uncoordinated, there just hadn't been much cause to dance beyond the little childish numbers he'd done years back. Freddy glanced over at Nef, and noticed her talking to a booth attendant. He took a moment to admire how pretty her hair was. Strange, he saw it all the time, had even gotten tangled in it once as a child (getting free had been an epic adventure in and of itself, and he still wasn't sure how it had gotten ahold of him so quickly), but he'd never stopped to really notice how soft it was, or how the color shifted from blonde to silver and all the different reflections in the light. Freddy felt a blush come on again, and quickly looked away, glad Nef wasn't here so he could get himself composed again. Really, what was wrong with him today? A passing adult spotted him and paused, then walked over. They glanced at Nef, apparently noticing Freddy watching her, and smiled as they looked back at the Geist. 'Your girlfriend,' they asked, head tilted curiously. Freddy shook his head, smiling at the adult, though his heartbeat suddenly picked up for some reason "Nah, but she's my best friend." The adult's smile widened a bit. 'That's good! Friendship is always the best place to start.' The adult handed Freddy something. He moved automatically to take it, feeling cool metal, and opened his hand to see a pretty ring. 'What's a ball without a prize,' the adult said, still smiling..... Continued in Part 2! Out of the corner of her eye she had briefly seen her geist friend phase a little. Of course she found it strange, but at the same time he hadn't commented on her looking "weird" or anything so she wasn't going to bring it up. A quizzical look crossed her face for a second. Hey! Why hadn't he said anything! Not even a 'you look nice!' Wait! Why did she even care about that? Nef shook her head, the little bell on her necklace dinging. This prom thing seemed like it was messing with her head a little bit. Maybe if they went and did some things it would take her mind off of some of her thoughts.
It was about the moment that he had offered her back some of the cotton candy that she snapped out of her own thoughts. Without really thinking about it she leaned over and bit a piece of the candy out of his hands. Thank goodness she was normally slightly pink because she blushed lightly after realizing that she just ate out of his hands. Literally. She cleared her throat softly, trying to regain the little bit of coolness she had left. "Of course it's better when I'm around! We make a really good team, I bet a lot of people are jealous of how good we get along! Oh! C'mon! Let's go over here a minute, we're about to get even cooler!" Nef grabbed Freddy's hand and tugged him towards a booth, leaving him a little ways away from it so she could talk to the person who was running the booth with some privacy.
After a minute of talking to the booth keeper and trying to be sneaky about what she was doing she turned around, a cheeky grin on her face. "Sooo I got you something! Because your nezubat necklace is just too perfect for you...I figured you could wear this as a bracelet for now!" She held out a matching bell necklace, she figured she could just wrap it an extra time around his wrist or tie it tighter to make it fit better. "Freddy! Now we match!" A childlike giggle escaped her lips as she held up the bell.

Bouquet in hand, he left his building and traveled across the campus, picking up a blue plush along the way he thought she might like. As long as he was outside in the cool air he felt just fine, but now that he was standing at her door, the odd twisting sensation at the pit of his stomach was back. Grimacing, he took a deep breath and let it go slowly, rolling his shoulders to loosen up before knocking on her door, gifts in hand.
"Hey T'kani, it's me. You ready?"
Not that she could respond vocally or anything but hey. He took a step back from the door and looked down the hall curiously, waiting for some sort of answer while he stood in the hall.

The next booth was a matching card game--pretty standard for these kinds of shindigs. Clutching their bouquets and giggling in that special kind of nervousness you get when you cross friends and blooming amour, the girls dragged each other over. Cal went first, flipping over the cards. She was only able to match one pair--she was rewarded with a selection of daisy chain bracelets. She picked out an orange one and slid it on her arm. "It matches my bouquet," she said for Eidil's benefit. She'd never really thought of herself as an orange kind of person, but...it was sort of growing on her? Eidil was no luckier than Cal--she matched the same number of cards, but she was delighted to see the adorable little bracelets. "Oo, thank you!" she trilled to the booth keeper. "There's no grey or yellow, so I'll go with the blue," she added to Cal. Both girls laughed and moved on.

The game master allowed them to play the game again. Ustule chuckled as she selected her ducks with care. "I em gled no one esked me out. I do not think I would do well in one of the fency dresses." She handed her ducks to the game keeper, who offered her a choice of bracelets. She picked a purple one. Perigor shrugged. "I thought you'd be excited for an opportunity to make a dress for yourself. You sew a lot, don't you?" He handed his ducks to the game keeper, who whistled in admiration.
"Two crossed hearts! That wins you our grand prize." They reached to the back and pulled out a cage. Even before he could see it, Peri knew what was in it.
As if in confirmation, Deimos stuck his head out of Perigor's pocket and gave a squawk that Peri knew by now was an amorous one. Peri accepted the new bird with a grin. "Hullo, Fright."

Parties were good, but parties with friends were even better. Soon the pair fell into a steady, even trot around the area as they tried to decide which game to go for next. They eventually settled on a squirt-gun game, where they raced each other to see who could push the bauble on its column of water faster. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Sound Lee won--Ved suspected water magic or something. If any Nightmare was to have water magic, then it would be his best friend Lee. Sound Lee was surprised--but gratified--when he won. He smiled at the attendant and looked over the prizes. So many to choose from! But there was at least one "correct" one. He chose the blue seal. It was the obvious choice. "Rematch?" he asked Ved.

Somehow her laughter didn’t spell well. He had heard from some of the other nightmares on his floor about the rather horrifying tales, although this one had more rolled than hit him on the back of the head. He was hoping because Professor Ava hadn’t gone overboard with the plushies this event that the flying horror he had heard about won’t come to past. He absent mindedly clutched/squished the plushie to him. “Ah sadly that is not quite the requirements in my case. My family has a weird sense of how they think they want their money being spent” Which came with the standard, get good grades and stay out of trouble, but considering he could have gone to some expense elven school or gotten home tutored they wanted him to experience living in below as some sort of weird cultural thing. He mostly hadn't been paying attention just glad to go somewhere that his sister wasnt. “Mmm I probably would have liked the idea of being homeschooled, less of a reason to be pushed out to festivals although I do guess I would have missed out on the good drinks " “Mmm I do have to admit, it almost makes me want to wait to tell them of the flying plushies and slimes in person just to see the look on their pompous faces. Of course safely in a letter would be the best bet. My family wouldn’t know normal fun if….” He trailed off and shook his head. He had just met the geist next to him and he wasn’t the type to just dump the tense political situation that was his home life. He had hinted enough of it already.
