Looking for interaction, feel free to quote me with your NM/DD approaching. Samara looked around the room curiously, watching all the others laughing and dancing while she tried not to accidentally step on a freshling. Not that she had to try that hard, considering how small and petite she herself was. She had let loose a sigh or two at the sight of all the couples and friends running around together. She still didn't have anyone here she felt particularly close to, though she was still trying to make progress with her sister. Still, she didn't let it dampen her mood. With a bit of luck maybe she'd meet someone, make a new friend. If nothing else she might end up with some pretty trinkets, legitimately won or otherwise...

 Freddy wandered through the crowds, pausing here and there to dance when a song caught his interest or to eye some of the stalls lining the edges of the ballroom. He was a little thrown off since the whole thing had the air of a party, but it was a much more fancy party than the sort he was used to. Or that's how he felt, anyway. He paused at one of the stalls, selling necklaces. He ended up buying one, though not for him; he was too fond of his nezubat necklace to swap it out. Nope, it was for a certain friend who he was really hoping he might s... "Nef," Freddy called out over the crowd, quickly weaving through the bodies for the familiar pale pink ears and blonde hair. He grinned as he caught up with her, for once glad he was still a bit short. "Hey! I was looking for you earlier, but it was super crowded!" He presented the necklace, still grinning. "Got you something." C-C-CaFFIENE Wasn't sure if you had Nef coming here with anyone else or if you wanted to have Nef and Freddy go together, or they just go separately and end up meeting or what ;;> -> I tried to leave the post a bit open so that various scenarios could be inferred. Also this is for Nef! I do kinda feel like it borders on a gag, but it's being given sincerely XD

 Laurel felt particularly giddy as she walked into the ball, one arm linked with Flax while she stared at all the lovely decorations. She'd taken special care with her hair. It was still curly, there wasn't much she could do about that, but she'd tried twisting it up in a fancy bun like she'd seen some of the other students do. She wore the nicest dress she owed, and the heart-shaped mother-of-pearl necklace Flax had given her was front and center. Fur and claws kind of discouraged rings or bracelets so she'd only really owned necklaces; this one was by far her most treasured possession. There was so much to see and do that Laurel honestly wasn't sure where to start. She had to remind herself that they had the whole night, and there would be plenty of time to explore. Just as she thought that a small school of skyfish floated by. One paused, swimming around the couple, then moving in to nibble on Laurel's hair. She giggled at the sensation. "Silly, that's not for eating," she admonished, trying to gently distract the skyfish. smolderingskies Sorry for dragging Flax hither and yon, but I just couldn't see Laurel showing up without him > -> Also this is for Flax, if he'd like it.

All three are up for approach, either separately or as a group. Just quote me.      Quarz looked around the room, feeling a bit nervous with all the other bodies packed in. She could feel Florence and Vincent next to her, one radiating pure excitement and the other a more calming interest. She scooched a bit closer, glad her fellow Arkham students had agreed to go together with her since they didn't want to go alone. "What should we look at first?""I think we should try dancing," Florence enthused, antennae twitching happily. Vincent didn't mind either way since it all sounded fun. At that moment there was a screech, and a bouquet of flowers came into view, falling through the air to nearly land on poor Quartz. The Baphomet freshling flinched slightly, but bent to pick up the flowers. She gasped softly as a disgruntled fluffbug wiggled free, limbs locked in place. As if to complicated matters, an aetherjelly also rose up. She locked her muscles in place. "No worries, I got it," Florence said, and he scooped the bug up gently. Instantly the fluffbug seemed much happier being with the Dryad/Fey freshling, and got over its indignation. Vincent just grinned and carefully beckoned the aetherjelly towards him. After the flower flight, the jelly seemed quite happy to be around the much calmer Baphomet freshling. Quartz picked up the bouquet, already feeling a bit frazzled even though they'd been here only a couple minutes!

 Even as Evelyn was looking for her, Talya and Lillian were on the hunt for their monocular friend. Talya was disappointed to hear that, as a freshling, she would be ineligible for the role of prom regent, but on the bright side, there was no rule against her dressing in her best. In her best pretty dress, a silver tiara tucked among her dark curls, Talya was pulling her quiet Nixie friend along with her through the crowds.
"Where is she?" she muttered.
Lillian shrugged. "She'll be here, Talya. Please."
Talya huffed and turned back to her. "Maybe we could play a game in the meantime. Give us something to do while we wait?"
Lillian smiled and nodded, then pulled Talya along with her to a matching card game. Good...that would be nice... Talya started flipping over cards. Lillian would have liked to dress in a nice sweater, but it was too late in spring to wear one. Instead, she was dressed in a pale pink blouse that matched the highlights in her hair. Talya had been fretting for the past half hour, and it was starting to drive Lillian batty. She had to do something to calm Talya down, and the best way to do that, in her experience, was to find a game to play. It was with that in mind that she dragged her friend over to the card matching game. "I'll keep an eye out for Evey," she murmured.
She turned to watch the crowd, seeking out their Demon friend. When Talya had finished, she took her turn with the cards while Talya covered for her.Talya squeaked with surprise. "Lillian, look!" She pointed to the cards. "I...I won a pet!"Lillian smiled. "Congratulations," she murmured. She looked over the variety of pets. Oh dear...there didn't seem to be anything that Talya would like...
Until she saw Talya pointing out something small that was swimming around a plastic bag. The game keeper handed her the bag and Talya squealed with delight. "Lillian! It's an Aetherjelly, and she's so pretty, look, she looks like she's covered in roses!" Talya paused. She was being rude, boasting over her win... "Sorry. Um. What did you win?"Lillian smiled indulgently. Oh, Talya... "I don't know." She looked up at the game keeper, who offered her a variety of flower bracelets. Lillian picked up the orange one. "I think I've won this."

 Ho boy! A party? One with games and prizes and pets and plushies? Sign Ved up! He kind of wished he had known that it would be, um...sort of formal? There were a lot of seniors and juniors and stuff in fancy dresses and suits, which sort of made him uncomfortable...but hey, fortune favored the, er...slightly worried. Meh. Oh well. He clung to his ukelele and charged on into the crowds.
His first stop was to an obstacle course. Ved loved running around--hopefully, this would help him spend up all his pent-up energy. He took off at full tilt, without any worry in the world. He did pretty well, considering how random he had been. He grinned at the finish line and chose a bag of candy as his reward. Delicious!

 Sound Lee was confident that his friend Vederat would be at the party. Ved was never one to miss a bash like this, where he could win prizes and eat candy. All Lee had to do was seek out a little Imp wearing a battered sweater. That should be easy, right?
It was, in fact. He found Ved in the line for an obstacle course. He seemed so absorbed, though, that Lee didn't think it very nice to distract him. Instead, he waited until his turn to run the obstacle course. By that point, Ved had started looking around, and Lee was pretty sure that Ved had seen him by this point. He didn't really see how anyone could miss himself--he was a bright blue cat with big, green eyes. That should be easy to spot, right?
It did nothing to help his running, though, since he tripped and fell shortly into the course. Adults rushed in to help, but more importantly, Ved rushed in too. He pulled the Bakeneko to his feet and dusted him off. "You okay?"
Lee nodded, then smiled. "Let's go," he said softly.

 Horus wanted to be anywhere that wasn’t here. He wasn’t the social type preferring to work on his projects. He knew he could be blunt and don’t really hold things back, not to mention he didn’t really know anyone in below yet, but his annoying family kept on wanting him to tell them about his school exploits which meant that he needed to get out of his dorm room and actually experience school life since he definitely wasn’t going to tell him about his slime exploits. Still maybe he didn’t have to stay long. Grabbing a drink he tried his best to be a wallflower. He didn’t have too much hope at a social night… which was just fine with him.

Sylwia hummed along to the music, enjoying the festivities. She had told her father about the event, and he had encouraged her to go. That it would be a great place to make friends…! The bakeneko flicked an ear, feeling it itch thanks to the flower she had tucked behind it. She wasn’t too sure how to go about doing that, however. Everyone seemed so content with where they were at, talking to whoever they were talking to….except… the bakenko exclaimed softly as she saw a pure white aetherjelly floated about. She immediately tottered after it, anxious to make it her own.
Florian was not too far from the bakeneko. His eyes, however, were glued to an adorable orange duckie plush. He needed it! He eagerly snatched it and gave it a firm squeeze. Too cute!!

Estys smiled, enjoying the festival. She had always enjoyed it several years back, and she was equally happy to show Atoli the festival, since the freshling had mentioned how she was curious about it. Holding on to the freshling's hand, the two absorbed the sceneary: the colors, everyone's happy faces... It was all so pleasant. "C'mon~" she cooed softly to her child trying to find her some of the things she found to be fun from when she was younger. As they walked, however, a flutterbug landed on her shoulder. "O-ooo, look who we have here, Atoli." she said, smiling.
Atoli watched with large eyes, mesmorized. She had never seen so many at once! It was a little intimidating. Holding on to her momma's hand tightly, she did let out a soft 'ooo' as the flutterbug landed on Estys's shoulder. "W-wah, are there more, Momma? Can I have one?" she asked quietly. Chessy practically pranced through the ballroom, enjoying the light-hearted atmosphere surrounding it. So much merriment and nightmares and daydreams dancing out and about the area... She felt so at home. Now if only she could find one of her friends - namely, a certain one she had grown fond of. She recalled Delly saying she'd be there...Hopefully she could find her soon. Running her hands very gently down her dress to remove any wrinkles, she couldn't help but beam with pride. The dress was shorter than the typical prom dresses, but she wasn't the traditional type. It at least contemplated her colors and features...or she hoped so. She wasn't too aware of fashion. Whatever, let's find Delly~ she thought to herself as she continued to prance around.
The female bakeneko twin sighed, somewhat frustrated. She wasn’t very good at interacting with others by herself, and her twin was nowhere to be seen. Xiu scratched her head and blinked her eyes. Where did Jun go...? She looked for her twin. Why did he always slip away? She could feel herself growing anxious.

Kuchena grinned as Rica started to give this a chance. You know, it wasn’t that bad to be social every once in a while. With a grin, she quickly hopped over to a vendor and purchased a bracelet. Next opportunity, she’d make sure Rica got a matching one.

Elsie smiled down at her two daughters, "Of course, sweetie. I'm glad to come. And Antsy, be careful with that." She wasn't too sure that she wanted an aetherjelly in the house, but what could she do? There seemed to be a million of them so she might as well get used to the idea of getting a new pet in the house. With that, she stepped to the nearest vendor to get another plushie for her daughters.
Glancing down at her phone, she smiled as she saw just who it was. "Hey, I'm by the refreshments!" she sent it and kept on grinning.

Reign slithered about, gazing at this stall and that as they looked around. Eventually, through the throngs of Nightmares and Daydreams, they came across a table. The table was packed full of different plushies of all types and colors. Red eyes sparkling, the freshling manuevered their way up to the table, and sat up some so they could get a better look. They then were met face-to-face with an orange duck plush, which they immediately reached for. The stuffed animal called out to them, and Reign hugged it close to their scaly body. "...I like this one.." they murmured softly, deciding to take it home. It would be a nice edition to their collection.
Aurum found herself drawn to the various familiars that the event had to offer. She found the familiar fluffbugs to be cute, but they didn't really call to her. The skyfish seemed okay, but she never really saw herself owning one. The dryad was about to give up hope on finding the perfect familiar for her, when she felt the sensation of fur against her leg. Blinking, Aurum peered down to find a kidden had wandered up next to her. Unlike others of its breed, this one was subdued and gentle. In its mouth, it held a flower that it, potentially, had plans to eat. Though instead of nomming the flower down, it dropped it into the young girl's hand. "Awww...thank you. You're too kind!" Aurum then paused, weighing her options before finally saying, "Want to come home with me?" The goat familiar bleated in response, to which the dryad could only grin. She had found her newest familiar!
