Morginn thought he'd never miss the weather around Grendel, but he was missing the weather around Grendel. Who'd have thought that a few mountains could make the air feel colder? Maybe it wasn't that bad. Maybe it was just that he had finally started to acclimate to the weather around Grendel, and this cold was entirely different from the cold he was used to.

'Or maybe cold is just cold and I'm giving it way too much credit,' he thought as he shivered.

As much as he didn't like cold weather, being inside all the time was just too much. Since classes weren't due to start up again for a while, he'd decided to take the time to travel a little. He'd always been curious about Leviathan and the surrounding area. Fashion was his primary interest, but he'd considered going to Leviathan to learn more about Enchanting. He still considered the idea, and now seemed like a good time to scope out the area.

'Maybe I should wait 'til summer to transfer though,' he thought, pulling his wings as tight to his body as he comfortably could manage. The town seemed nice, at least. Not a ton of variety, but enough and some of that different from the shops around Grendel. Several of the window displays called temptingly to him, and finally Morginn gave in. He had time, the university wasn't going anywhere, and it would be nice to get out of the cold for a bit!

Winterbloom did find the winters in Below to be a bit different from those in Above. At least the sun could provide some warmth in Above. But in Below, the sun was basically non-existent. It was odd how much the two worlds were a mirror of each other. Was it just a coincidence? These were some of the thoughts that strayed through her head as she wandered around the town.

She didn't often leave her small apartment, especially when it was cold outside, but if she didn't stay active she felt like she'd end up hibernating straight through to Spring. That was also part of the reason she had signed up for a few Winter classes. If she had something to focus on, than she could block out her desire to sleep. Still, she made her way quite slowly through the streets. She would pause to look in shop windows. Oh, how the styles were even different between the two worlds. The Below was a strange place. But it was a welcoming difference compared to what she was used to anyway.

A friend from class had told her there was this really good cafe around in though. She dug into the bookbag she had slung over one shoulder and pulled out a piece of paper that had direction written on it. She was still somewhat new to the area herself. Why hadn't she gotten out more anyway? She huffed and glanced around for the streetname.

"Looks like it should be right around the corner here..."

Morginn was feeling a bit cheerier as he exited the crafting store he'd gone into. They tried to stock more variety rather than going with a single specialty so there wasn't a whole lot of any one particular item, but he'd still found a rather cute fabric and some adorable buttons. The clerk had also been very helpful with directions to a nearby cafe that apparently served some of the best drinks in town.

He was walking up the street, looking for the turn the clerk had mentioned, when he noticed something that stood out to him in this cold, lantern-lit town. A Dryad. An actual Dryad! Morginn felt his spirits lift further, and he picked up his pace without realizing it.

"Hello there," he called out cheerfully, antennae wiggling to reflect his emotions. "Never thought I'd run into another Daydream out in this weather!"

Maybe if her friend had had better handwriting, this cafe would have been a little easier to find. They were all adults at this point, one should expect that they would have practicing their calligraphy enough for it to be legible at least. She's have to make sure she never had to borrow notes from the other person, it'd be impossible for her to gain anything from that.

Winterbloom had gotten lost in her thoughts again, something that often happened. Apparently even in the middle of the streets, out in the cold and lantern-lit world of Below. Someone calling out to her snapped her out of her thoughts though, and she turned her head to look at the Fey that was suddenly standing next to her. Someone might call her reaction a little slow, but well the cold weather did have a tendency to dull her senses just a bit. She smiled though, a small soft smile, but it was there nonetheless.

"It is a little chilly out for my taste. But I'm trying to adjust to school down here. I've been taking Winter classes in order to avoid hibernating. Trying to stay active. What has you out and about? She adjust the bag on her back and stuffed the note from her friend into her pocket for the time being. A Fey! She'd only run into a few since coming to Below and even fewer Dryads like herself. This was really pretty exciting!

"A bit of browsing, though it's too cold to really do that properly," Morginn piped with a slight shiver. It could have been worse. The eternal twilight of below, especially this area in the mountains, didn't really faze him much since he was most active in the night. Had he been of the solar type it would have been much harder to adjust. Temperatures were also more consistent, with it barely getting that much colder during later hours.

"I'm thinking of transferring to the university here so I can double major," he elaborated, tugging at his scarf a bit so he could speak clearer. "There's a break for classes right now, so it seemed a good time to visit the area and make sure." His eyes brightened.

"You take classes here, right? Maybe you could give me some advice on the university from a Daydream perspective! If it's not troubling you, of course," Morginn added with a touch of anxiety. He hoped he hadn't stopped the Dryad on her way to somewhere she had to be! He'd been so excited he hadn't really stopped to think about it.

Ah, the energy of Fey's was absolutely astounding to her. Nothing ever seemed to trip them up at all. He nodded her head as she listened to him talk, he was certainly the friendly type. It was nice to have an interaction with a Fey again. She hadn't spoken to too many since moving to Below. It was a slow migration really, but every day more and more Daydreams were taking trips into Below. She was sure with the new semester coming up even more Daydreams would make an appearance in her classes.

"I do. I wouldn't mind answering any questions you may have. Leviathan is a really nice campus." It would be best for them to get indoors however. It was pretty chilly out here and she needed something warm to drink. "I was going to this cafe that a friend in class recommended, care to join me?" She would certainly enjoy her little trip into town more if she had a Fey accompanying her.

"That sounds amazing," Morginn said with feeling. He'd just been about to suggest the same thing. It was far too cold to just stand out on the street corner chatting! "I was on my way to a place. The clerk in the craft store I visited early recommended it, and a hot drink sounded nice! I don't mind joining you and going to a different cafe though, cause any place indoors sounds awesome right now."

Morginn fell in next to the Dryad, letting her lead the way since she knew where they were going. "So, how long have you been going to school in this area," he asked, hoping to make conversation as they walked. "Oh," he exclaimed, blushing a little and wiggling his antennae, "Sorry! I should have introduced myself first. My name is Morginn."
