She rolled the rock in her hand as Jericho assured her he was fine, and no, he wasn't busy. Relief washed her face as she nodded gently, wings nervously fluttering behind her. She spread her fingers, looking down at the rock curiously before looking back up at him, head shaking gently.
"Oh, I'm fine!" No need to worry about her! She was more worried her presence had ruined the evening, honestly! "How are you.... enjoying the event? Did you come here for something? Oh.... that's a silly.... question.. I'm sorry." Of course he came down here for a reason! To have fun! Kindle closed her hand, tapping her finger tips together nervously as she tried to become as small as pos-

Suddenly, Kindle felt something hit her right in the head. Soft, of course, but still something. She stumbled, turning around to pick up a fallen plushie. Who.... did this?
Was he okay? Did he see a rock? What? Nex hadn't really had a chance to understand what happened, slowly sitting up to rub his head as he locked onto the rock Korvau spoke about. Uh, sure, that was exactly why he fell. Whatever made Korvau not think he was a complete idiot.
"Yes. That is why I fell." He stated firmly, not giving room for doubt as he slowly stood up.
"I am fi-" And down he went again as he stepped on a plushie and fell, much to his horror. Shifting, he picked the offending plushie up, blinking in complete alarm. What was this day?

Litla didn't have to wait long, really. She saw little Finn first, eyes trailing up to see Ikki. The heat in her cheeks grew hotter as she looked away nervously, giving a tiny wave. When Finn approached she looked down at the smaller boy, smiling fondly.
"Finn." She greeted back, blinking as a rose was extended to her. Delicately taking it, she bent down to kiss Finn's head, leaning up to smell the single rose. What a sweet gesture! "Thank you! I love it." She enthused, spotting Finn gesturing at Ikki. "Wha- oh! Thank you!" She also accepted the plushie, tail wagging softly before she held both gifts in her hands, eyes flicking about.
"Oh! I didn't manage to get you two anything! I should get on that! Where are you two headed next?"

The coatl tilted its head, eyeing Piper before it shifted to allow itself to be pet. Yes, this was indeed what it wanted. Kaname blinked, then reached up to cover their mouth to stifle a small cough. "O-oh... th-th-thank you... I didn't kn--know about that.." They managed a small smile, though were distracted for a moment when a wisp decided to come hover by their head. Oh boy. Were they a familiar magnet now?
"U-um, I'm Ka--Kaname, b-by the way. Wh-what's your name?"
Aha! So he had seen the rock! He nodded, pocketing the pretty thing and then looked around. "Can we get a balloon animal?? PLEAAAASE?" He pointed to the booth, not even noticing that Nex had stepped on a plushie. Not like he would care, really. Half of his plushies ended up on the ground, after all.
A passing adult handed him a rose, since his hand was still outstretched. He stared at it for a moment, blinking... What to do? His tail twitched a little as an idea came to mind. Immediately he held it out to Nex. "Here!! I dunno what to do with it."

Jericho smiled a little, then shrugged. "I--it's okay, I guess... I don't really get it." He looked around, noting just how big this party was. Back home, the Mister and Missus went out on a date for Hunter's Jubilee, but that was about it. He blinked, and looked back to Kindle. "Umm, m-mostly just to see what it was about... and, maybeee... See if any of the new people would be here...? I heard they're from the desert." He quirked a brow. The one thing he did remember from his "About Below" class was that the Swirling Sands were impenetrable.
"Oh!" He jumped a little at the plushie hitting her head, instinctively holding his hands out to see if she was okay. "Kindle--?" He started to speak, but was cut off when a plushie nailed him right in the face. "Ah!!" He fumbled a bit, barely catching it before it fell to the ground... "O-oh... m-maybe this isn't a good spot to stand..."

"I've just been browsing so far. Most of the games seem to be taking place outside, although," he added, "there's apparently a lot of plushies being thrown around, so you risking ending up becoming a target." He shuddered just a bit, wondering what a flying plushie would feel like if it struck his delicate wings. That was something he could live without ever knowing.
"I thought about trying some of the games, but I wanted to wander a bit first and see what all there was. Most of what I've seen is outside. I did find a booth that sells some amazing hot drinks and snacks though," he added brightly. "There's also a few people wandering with baskets of cute trinkets or candy. I think most of the craft booths are inside." His tilted his head, fluttering his wings a little. "Is there anything you'd like to do first," he asked, glancing between the Fey and hybrid.
The vendor nodded at them, and Evelyn eagerly dipped her string into the water once again. With a bit of casting around, she found another fish. This one earned her another plushie. She was doing pretty well at all of the games so far to win so many plushies! There was one purple rat plush she hadn't gotten yet--a nice blue violet one. That one seemed good for her purposes. She tucked it into her parent's bag, bid farewell to the vendor and the Litch, and set off with Guereda to the next place.

Anchriesel's turn was next. He picked up the ball and threw. His aim was true--it knocked down all of the bottles, which rewarded him with a cardboard carrying case with a flitterrat in it. He got to pick the color--he chose a pink one. He smiled. "I collect rats," he murmured to Zalir.

Zalir nodded. "Are they your favorite animal, um, or are they just...your favorite of the available...animals..." Zey blushed and turned away, taking another ball and flinging it at the bottles. Miraculously, this sent all of them falling as well! The vendor reached for the cardboard boxes again. "Um!" Zalir said, and pointed at the bags of aetherjellies at the back of the stall. "Um, I would, um...prefer...may I have a blue one?"

Guereda declined another go at the magnet fishing and instead waited for Evey to finish. With another prize one, they took their daughter's hand, bade the others farewell, and moved on.

Ustule was also afforded another go. Her cast was not as profitable as the Demon's, but it still brought up treasure--a book, this one with a Litch on the cover. That was not nothing! She smiled at the vendor, thanked them for the game, and moved on.

After so long looking for Ella, it seemed that the games were giving Quilo some luck. Or maybe Luck just liked Ella. After card matching, he moved on to an indoor bowling game. After a couple of tries, he managed to win a pink locket. It was a pity there wasn't any teal stuff here, but he'd just have to get her lots of teal stuff later to compensate for all of the pink!

The second go of the obstacle course went just as well as the first, but this time, Bath picked another rock. It seemed that minerals were one of the standard prizes at this event. Go figure. He picked a lump of rhodonite. It wasn't a pretty rock, but hey, it was a rock, and he sure loved him some rocks! He decided to do one more run of the obstacle course, then go back to darts or something.

Callessa tried again with another box, her new pet buzzing in its box in her hand. "Um...sort of soft...lots of holes...Is it antique lace?"
"Very precise," Shera said. Stroking her cat like that, she looked like a supervillain. "Go ahead and take another fluffbug, Cal."
Cal giggled. "Is this what it's always going to be like with you?" She picked up another box--this one had a white looking bug in it. It looked up at her through the holes--white was not normally her color, but with that face looking up at her? She couldn't resist.
"When I'm not teaching cell division? Apparently so."

Lillian was starting to get a little tired. She yawned and took Talya over to a card matching game. She flipped over a pair of identical cards and picked a pretty pink rock as a prize.

Talya flipped over a few cards, and in reward, the vendor offered her a selection of rat plushies. Oh dear. She sighed. She couldn't avoid that obnoxious color now, could she. She groaned and picked the pink rat. She turned just in time to see Lillian yawn. "Okay, Lilli," she said. "You should get some sleep. Come on, I'll take you to your dorm."
Lillian protested, but it was a sleepy protest. By the time she got back to her dorm, she was almost asleep on her feet.

Verity was, by her own calculations, almost done when she went back to the prize wheel. She had just two more books to get and she would be done. Uh, make it one book. Her prize on the wheel was another book. She picked Feybio--it looked like an amusing read, with that ridiculously long-haired adonis on the cover. It had to be a Dryad book. Fey didn't like long hair, did they?

Ugh, a big party in the central hall? No, wait, scratch that, it sounded nice. Aurabelle sighed and made their way through the crowds looking for a game to play. They settled on a dumb squirt gun game where they pushed a target across a trough of water. There was another kid sitting there already, apparently waiting for a partner. Wordlessly, Aura took their seat and picked up the gun. At the game master's signal, they started to squirt their target across the tank. They didn't get their target across the finish line first, but apparently they had gotten it across quickly enough to win a consolation prize. Aura snatched up a red locket and glared at the other kid. "Rematch," they growled.

Sound Lee was glad to have someone else to play against--he'd been waiting for a few minutes already. At the signal, they furiously started squirting their gun. They got across the finish line first, and while the Elf was glowering at a cheap locket, SL was picking out a stuffed animal. Aww, there was a rat! It was so cute. He squeezed it tight and looked over at the belligerent Elf. He said not a word, but simply nodded. Rematch indeed!
Cim nodded listening to Aqua "I will do whatever you recommend, I intend to do everything I can to make Natsumi's life a happy one." Cim frowned "I don't want to let my little one down, because of my short comings.." Cimara knew he had about as much empathy understanding as a rock.. He was unsure why he was always so serious and had little understanding of emotions but that was how he had always been. "I can swim a little, but I am not very good at it.." he admitted "So perhaps us both learning would be wise."

Camrine lite up brightly when she saw Fig. "Fig I'm so glad you could make it, no I have been waiting long." She moved forward to gently hug him, without hurting with flower or wings. Then she brought forward the bag with her gift to him in it. "I wanted to give you these." Camrine said warmly, she had made both peices with great care. One was a sweater with wing spaces and a flower space. Cam had chosen a burnt orange and warm red color. The scarf was done in the same colors. "I hope you like them, if not I can make another set for you." Camrine said softly.

Aiday's eyes went wide at the suggestion to walk through the crowd to go play the ring toss game. Aiday would much rather have stuck to the row she was on, so she could sneak from game to game. So it wasn't so scary.. "Thanks anyway Meliae, but I don't think I'm ready, you go have fun.. I'll find a game in this row.." Aiday forgot the question about the stars as she ducked back under the booth table. She didn't want to go into the middle on the crowd it was to scary..

Chau smiled at Estys, it had yet to occur him to ask her what she was. Chau didn't know much of anything about daydreams, for that matter besides his little family he hadn't met many other nightmares. Chau need he liked playing, being happy and art, Chau couldn't think of any time his parents had told him anyone was bad, so he was pleased to be making a big kid friend. "I love art, my daddy showed me how to work with play." He said cheerfully as he walked to the booth, with all sorts of paper flowers and real flowers as prizes. Chau picked a paper flower that had a mark on the bottom. He smiled and picked a purple rose "Here Estys for you, my mommy likes flowers a lot."
Aloe wasn't sure what she wanted to do, she picked up a pretty stone from a booth in passing.. Maybe she would head back to the dorm and cuddle with her sun stone.
Jonah was bored and decided to go back to the dorm..
Caron headed back to the dorm room..

Gwen played a few games before heading back to the dorm..
Jezebeth was just about to take a bite out of a brownie when Enoukn reached over to take her free hand. She blinked, looking from the brownie and then over to Eno. He had such a serious, yet cute and bashful, look on his face. Oh no, no, no, what was he doing? Was...was he not going to wait for later? She hadn't seen Eno look so bashful before. It's true that to others he usually looked grumpy, but Jezebeth could always tell when was really on his mind.
She set her brownie down then and let Eno grasp both of her hands. She tried to look him in the eyes the whole time he spoke, but Nine, that was the hardest thing for her to do. She kept looking down at her brownie, up at his hair, down at the pattern on his shirt, and then back to his eyes. At least she was doing a much better job of listening then she was looking into those emerald eyes.
Taking things to the next level, Eno wanted to date! He...he actually felt the same way she did. She wondered how awkward it had been for him lately as well. To attempt thinking of each other as just friends. There was no doubt in her mind that she couldn't have asked for a better friend growing up. To think that Eno and herself would grow up to date? That was the last thing on her mind as a kid. Though, looking back they were pretty close. It seemed only natural that their relationship would bloom like this. Just like a flower...
She realized he had stopped speaking then. Was he seriously worried that she only saw him as a friend, after she had gone through all that trouble to invite him to the Jubilee? "Of-course-I-see-you-as-more-than-just-a-friend...." Where Eno tended to slow down when he was nervous, Jezebeth had a habit of speeding up, her reply came out more as one long word than an actual sentence. She had honestly never heard Eno say so many words at a time. They both had a habit of speaking with actions over actually speaking. There were things that were easier said than done however.
She took a deep breath and tried to reply like a normal Nightmare would, "So yes! I would like to date you!" There, she was sure her was couldn't possible get any more red. The heat would surely melt her if it did.
Conan wasn't sure what Cherubi was going to say to his question. He was worried he might have worded it in a weird way. Or perhaps she just didn't feel the same way toward him. She was an awfully affectionate Chimera, perhaps he was misreading some signals. He was so relieved though when she said yes, she said yes! He didn't even have enough time to open his own arms to hug her back, instead he was just completely engulfed by the hug that nearly toppled them both over. That tail of her's was certainly powerful. Though, Conan wasn't one to comment on tails. His might not be knocking them over, but it was whacking anyone that happened to wander too close to the couple.
When they finally broke apart he had managed to get his blush under control. Now that they were official he felt he didn't have to be so embarrassed trying to be flirty with her. It was felt more natural and he felt more confident about it now. It was like this huge weight was lifted from his shoulders. "I've never been so nervous about asking a question in my life. Thanks for accepting me!" He just so happened to glance down a bit, just a few nerves still lingering, and he noticed the familiar that had wrapped itself around Cherubi's leg. Did she notice it?
"It looks like you've made a new friend too!" He couldn't quite recall what they were called, but he knew they were from the same place as the Bakeneko and Naga that were new to the Academy. It seemed like they had also brought some of their beloved familiars with them to share with the world. Distracted by the sight of the familiar he didn't get a chance to see who walked by and placed a flower behind his ear. He merely accepted it as a gift from a stranger, that was pretty much what this Holiday was all about.
Eilwen smiled when Fakir confirmed that he liked it, good she hadn't been wrong that he might. They hadn't been friends for very long, but unlike herself the colorful Fallen was fairly easy for her to read. That certainly wasn't a bad thing, it definitely made it easier for a more reserved person like herself to make friends with him. It made her realize that he might not know as much about her as she did him though. Well, he knew some things about her, but not little every day things likely.
I"m uh...quite fond of blue things myself. And red..." Where did that come from? She felt like she was trying to tear personal pages out of her diary and hand them to him. That had been awkward. At least a distraction came in the form of the familiar that wrapped itself around Fakir. She wasn't sure what had been happening until he reached down to pick them up.
Her wings gave a little happy flap as she looked at the familiar, it was so cute! "Ah! It's a Coatl, I'd heard about them but hadn't seen one yet! They're so adorable!" Eilwen was usually more reserved, but when confronted with adorable familiars her more girl, squealing, omg-a-cute-thing, side tended to come out.
Lucky for Nimue, or perhaps unlucky, Gadriel had been busy picking out the sweets and hadn't noticed their interaction with the Demon giving him the ring. He had no idea that the Imp might have a present they were trying to give him, though Gadriel would be quite thrilled to accept something from the small Imp. All the same, he was just happy they had agreed to come to him to such a crowded place.
"Hm, I'm not the biggest sweets person myself. I prefer more natural sweets. Like fruits mixed with yogurt or pudding....That makes me sound so old..." He came from a family that was ultra-concerned about health. So his parents hadn't exactly provided him with a lot of sweets growing up. As a side effect, he didn't really care that much for them once he was grown. He'd eat them here and there, but he'd never straight out binge on some cake or candy.
"You can blame my parents for that! My Mom's an orthodontist and my father is a doctor. So they're all concerned about health this and health that." He was currently following in his father's footsteps without really giving it too much thought. He didn't mind the idea of becoming a Doctor, but med school was a lot of work. He was often quite tired after a day of school. And before long he'd be started his clinicals, which meant he'd be working on top of schooling soon.
When the little Coatl gave her permission to pet them she gave out a little squeal of delight. Her tail wagged happily and quickly as she reached the rest of the way to pet the little familiar on it's head. It felt sort of weird. Like really smooth and slick. Still, they seemed to really enjoy the attention so Piper continued to play with the familiar for a bit until Kaname took her attention back.
She straitened back up and put her hands on her hips to declare who she was. "Why, I'm Piper! It's a pleasure to meet you Kaname! Are you by yourself? We should hang out together!" Piper certainly wasn't the shy type. During the Winter Solstice she had found a little Chimera friend to drag around with her! Looks like she'd found her newest pal!
