Morginn laughed. "Maybe Fiore, but Florence is still a bit energetic. I don't suppose he'd get anyone into too much trouble though, just host elaborate tea parties and insist everyone dress up." That was largely Morginn's fault, actually. He always dressed the kids up as much as they'd let him, and Florence was a willing participant every time. Tea was something Morginn was capable of making, so there had been a great many tea parties during their younger years.
"Don't be so quick to rule romance out yet though," he said, switching over to Arinas. "I've known a few people who were the living equivalents to a hit-over-the-head metaphor." Suddenly a slime poked out from behind one of the crystal balls Alrai was reaching for, made the particular noises that Morginn recognized from Cosmos as contented ones, then jumped right into Alrai's pocket. He couldn't help it, he burst out with laughter. "See, just like that," he said between chuckles and attempts to regain his breath.
Rowan shuddered a little. "I remember those kinds of festivals. The first one I ever attended here was like that. I still have all the plushies I found lying around all over the place. I don't think I ever got hit by anything, but it was madness." They shrugged. "It's a common theme, I think. I already had someone practically toss a bracelet at me before I got here to wait."
They looked around the chaos for a moment before picking a direction. "Let's try over there," they started to say, when a crocobee came barging right into the conversation, thunking Giotto on the nose and then crawling up to sit on his head. Rowan stared for a moment, then finally commented, "And I thought I was the one with rude pets."
Vincent blushed a little, but laughed. "I hope I didn't startle him. I wasn't sure if he recognized me from that day in the park or not. But I'm glad you're feeling better."
He smiled in pleasure, glad Mielle liked the bracelet he'd gotten her. The appearance of the salamander caused him to laugh. "I've seen those things all over the place. Must be the fruit and candy they've got. Watch your step!"
Vincent led them towards the start of all the booths and games, keeping at a slow pace so they didn't trip over the vespercat following Mielle, or any other potential familiars scuttling around in hopes of a free meal. One of the first booths was a table full of crystal balls.
"Oooh, these look interesting," Vincent said, picking up a blue-green one and giving it a shake. An image started to form, then resolved into a floating broken heart. He laughed. "Wow. Guess I'm destined to just live a solitary life on top of a mountain handing out gobs of wisdom to passers by!"
Vega was so excited to go to this festival. He held hands with Nashira, who had agreed to be his chaperone for the day. "I wanna play all the games!" He giggled. "I'll win presents for my brother and sister!"
Nashira smiled at the little kirin. "You must love your siblings." How did she get stuck with such an exuberant child?
"Yup! A whooooooooooooooole lot!" Vega gently started swinging Nashira's hand as they walked, when their hands bumped into something. Nashira turned to look. There was a specterfox walking behind them. Nashira faced the familiar and reached her free hand out to gently rub it's nose.
"I'm sorry." She whispered to it.
"You love those foxes, don't you?" Vega grinned. "Maybe that should be your date!"

Charon and Meadow
Great. How did he get stuck with this little squirt? Charon looked down at the naiad beside him. The little weasel had already tried to walk off 4 times, and they'd barely been here for 5 minutes!
Meadow wasn't too pleased to be stuck with Charon either. He didn't see why he needed a caretaker with him. He just wanted to find Aurelia, and they could play all day and not get in trouble. He would promise! Though as he looked up at Charon, Meadow got the feeling that the senior didn't like being with him much, and he felt a little bad about that. Was it actually so bad to hang out with him? What if Aurelia didn't like hanging out with him? Or Vega? Or any of his friends? The young Naiad turned his eyes to the ground when something caught his eye. It looked like something shiny had fallen. He picked it up. He really liked the rainbows! How neat! He would show it to... He stopped and looked up at Charon, then gave the man's shirt a few tugs. "...Here." He held up the trinket to the imp.
Charon was surprised when Meadow tugged on his shirt, and more so when the kid was offering him a heart-patterned ring. "...Thanks little buddy." He knelt down to accept the present. A few girls walked by and giggled, saying how cute it was that Charon was getting along so well with a kid. Hey, maybe hanging out with the little snot would be a good way to meet girls...

Keahi and Kingston
How had they gotten stuck with such an eccentric adult? Keahi looked at the grimm who was their chaperone for the day. Kingston was running from booth to booth, asking if Keahi wanted to play anything, or if they wanted to try a snack, or if they liked any of the prizes. He just wouldn't slow down! The little bapho sighed, following along behind him when they spotted a little game with floating ducks. Curiously looking, the student running the game explained how it worked. The ducks all had colored dots on them. Most of them resulted in not wining anything, a handful won you a little trinket, and there were even supposed to be a few that would award you a familiar. Keahi picked up one of the rubber ducks. Apparently the dot said they won a trinket, and Keahi was given a necklace.

Atropos and Clover
This was almost a match made in heaven. Atropos smiled at Clover, who looked up with her wide, leafy eyes and smiled. The little freshling loved plants, her daddy worked with plants too! So meeting a plant lady had the little one stunned. Atropos felt largely the same way. This little child, named for a plant, had beautifully leaf-shaped pupils. The pair held hands as they wandered the festivities. Clover pointed at a lot of things, things they were fascinating or curious, things she wanted... She tugged furiously on Atropos' hand and pointed excitedly. There was a colorful salamander drifting among the crowd. Clover let go of Atropos's hand to chase it, causing the dryad to chase after the girl. After weaving through the crowd, the dryad was able to pick up Clover, who huffed, still reaching for the familiar she'd been chasing.
"Sweetheart, you can't be so forceful, you will scare the poor thing. You must be gentle." She held out a hand towards the familiar. "I hope she didn't scare you..." The familiar seemed to think Atropos saved it, and promptly draped itself on her head. Clover pouted. "Oh my..."

Parfait and Gallius
There was nothing that tickled Parfait more then Naga tails. She really didn't understand them, and kept trying to pounce on Gallius's tail. Of course, Gallius found it to be much like a game, flicking his tail away at just the last moment so Parfait never quite got it. The hallowed girl was having a blast! She didn't even notice the games and prizes. However, their game didn't go unnoticed. A jackalope sprang out of nowhere and bounced off Parfait's back before landing on Gallius' tail.
"Galli! Galli! Look! It caught you! That means you have to take it home!"

Miwako and Tien
Neither one knew what to expect from this festival. Tien was excited because she wanted to see everything and learn everything so she could tell her mother and father about it. Miwako wanted to go... in the hopes of finding someone special to talk to. She wasn't sure she'd be able to with the little freshling asking 10,000 questions a minute. Miwako needed to sit down. Tien needed a drink and ran to a water founted, so Miwako sat down... right on a vespercat's tail! The poor familiar screeched at her, and Miwako apologized constantly, trying to calm toe poor thing down. She eventually managed to calm it down and it even allowed her to pet it. She forgot about Tien until the hybrid ran up to her.
"Look look what I just got!" She held up a bracelet with little heart beads. "It's my treasure. Think my mommy will like it too?"

Thebe and Sesha
PLANTS! They had plants! Sesha looked at the small gift stand with awe. His dad would just love some of these! But what to get? Thebe wasn't as impressed, and was sitting on the ground pulling at blades of grass. Sesha fet a little bad, knowing he was ignoring the kid who he was supposed to be showing a good time at the festival... so he made sure to buy 2 plants. He leaned down and held the little dish to the freshling. "Here." he said with a smile. "This is for you."

Fiona and Angus
WOW! Baphomet were really handy to have around! Fiona was perched on the shoulders of a very green bapho, holding onto his antlers for support as the man walked around, listening to his passanger point out where she wanted to go, and occasionally jerking his antlers to make him change coarse. Fiona was so excited that she didn't even notice when she got hungry, pointing at all the familiars and games and people in pretty clothes. But Angus heard. The little one's tummy rumbled right in his ear. Now, it wasn't quite lunch time yet, but why not spoil her a little? He bought a little box of chocolates and handed it up to Fiona. "Here y'are darlin. Don't eat all of it tough, or you won't want lunch!"

So this was the Hunter's Jubilee? Setti had no idea it would be this... LIVELY. She came here looking to meet people, but how could she when it was so... busy? She carefully made her way though the crowds until someone called her over. Something about being able to tell the future? she decided why not? The 'fortune teller' told Setti that she would have lots of romance, and some dashing young prince would sweep her off her feet. She doubted that, but at least she was given a shiny crystal ball to remember the day.
Seeing a stall with adorable familiar, Hailey dragged both Malachi and Kitty over to it! "Real quick you guys!" She would, of course, take Kitty back to the game in a moment! "Lior and Tzippi need these cute things!"
Used to being dragged around by his lady, all Malachi could do is laugh as she dragged him about the place. It was like they were kids still. "Hail... Don't you think that..." but after a glare, he stopped himself and scooped up the slime she pointed at.
Kitty yipped at being dragged around, still not used to her sister's way of traveling in a pack still. "But Haileyyyyy... I wanted to play that game!" she whined.
Face brightening as she caught Eliza's scent, Zahneel put on a burst of speed and within moments was standing mere feet away from her friend. Smiling, she hurried over, calling out, "Here I am! I'm so sorry, were you waiting long?"
She paused and glanced down at the spectrefox standing at Eliza's side. Since it showed no signs of wanting to leave, Zahneel reached out carefully to let it smell her fingertips.
"Who's this handsome critter? I think you picked up another friend, Eliza."

As he jogged through the fair, peeping into random booths and pausing to play games, Hamish had managed to acquire a pretty little potted plant. Holding it carefully, he was about to pass by a booth full of animals when he caught sight of a a face that was happily familiar.
Heading over, he couldn't help but laugh as he saw a vespercat loudly declaring its ownership of Atlas.
"Looks like you're the popular with cats one this time."

Rhulain had almost reconciled herself to not seeing Jessie when a specterfox appeared and, with what she considered great dignity, began to gently herd her in a particular direction. Since the beastie was being gentle, she decided that it wouldn't hurt to humor it.
And after a moment, she was pleased that she had. Only a few feet away was Jessie being herded by a practically identical fox. Laughing in delight, Rhulain knelt and gave her fox a pat on the head before hurrying over to Jessie.

Between the aggressively affectionate crocobee and the crowds, it was hardly any wonder that Paladin managed to run into someone. The only mystery was how it hadn't happened sooner. Bouncing off of the girl, he managed to steady himself before he could land on his tail. Smiling a little sheepishly, he accepted the hand she offered since his balance was an iffy thing at the moment.
"It's all right! I should have been a little more careful and looked where I was going. Are you okay?"
He felt his foot tread on something hard just as his crocobee decided that the girl was also in need of booping and buzzed into her face, humming happily. Taking a moment to handle the least of his worries, he lifted his foot to find a pretty little silver locket there and scooped it up reflexively.
"Um. Sorry about the critter," he muttered after pocketing the locket. Reaching out, he caught the crocobee in his hands and then stood there, unsure of what to do next.

"Staaaaaaarrrrrr," Nova caroled as zey caught sight of zer sister and the tiny crocobee perched on her shoulder. Running up, the little hybrid swept zer sister up in a bear hug before feeling a gentle tugging at the back of zer sweater.
Squeaking a little in surprise, Nova glanced behind and saw a pretty specterfox tugging at zer with its tail wagging as it scuffled its paws playfully.
Still strolling the fair, Proserpina would pause occasionally to stroke the cat who'd attached itself to her.

Things to do things to think about, but right now she just wanted to have a little bit of fun, maybe find someone to hang out with for the festival. Who knew maybe she would or maybe should wouldn't find them.
Rini stood at a booth for a long time spending her money trying to win a trinket with no luck what so ever, she sighed and wandered off to go find something else to do. She looked about for a food court so she could get a snack. She hoped her luck would improve soon, right now it seemed to be on the slow end of the luck scale. She needed more luck in her job hunting as well. There had to be something she could do if she couldn't get the job she had originally wanted. Rini stopped at the food booths looking about for something that caught her eye.
Yunia entered the festival she had the day off from her job and she had decided to see what the hunter's festival had to offer. She was still getting used to the Below it was different than life in the village. So many different races running around mutants running around it was all very strange. She went up to a booth and got a box of chocolates for being the 27th customer or something like that. She nodded her thanks to the elf neko hybrid running the booth and then turned away to see what else there was to see at the festival.
Cherry walked into the school and was working up the courage to go up to one of the booths, she still hadn't so she didn't win anything this time. She sat down with a sigh, her shyness was terribly hard on her social life. More or less she didn't have a social life, she wanted one, but that was kinda hard when all she did was work and sleep for the most part. She needed to meet others and build something that was like a social life. That required talking to others, which was tricky when she was nervous about talking to others.
