Drayden was a little late to the party, but he was still eager to have a good time. He loved this time of year; it was always so beautifully decorated and love was in the air. Well, part of him hoped love was in the air for him and a certain pair of ladies he'd met at that mixer... Right now, though, he was happy just having a good time by himself. As if he needed to prove it, he tried his hand at a game. His prize was a cute little teal fennekit plush. He chuckled to himself and tucked it under his arm.
She followed Delilah and trashed the cup as well. Listening to the grimm stutter, she couldn't help but sympathize with the poor girl. "I think your stutter is cute, but maybe I'm just weird. And we can always hang out and be friends, so that's one less friend you don't have to make now." She paused, wondering if meeting up was actually feasible. "Er, do you go to a university or...?" Asking if she was still in the academy or in university or graduated or whatever never struck her mind til now. If they went to the same university, maybe they shared classes and she never noticed! Or they could alternatively hang out more often. The imp grinned, clearly fond of the idea. "See, but you're kind of lucky if you think about it. Never have to worry about people shooting you down and being jerks! 'Cause I have the opposite problem. I can't stop talking and going on and on and on until they're so sick of me. I'm kind of surprised that you haven't ditched me yet," she said, winking.

Getting enough of the books for now, Zephyr wandered off. They couldn’t take all the books at once – that’d leave them with a very heavy backpack, and they didn’t want to strain their back! Humming happily, they looked around and gasped when they saw another bakaneko at the table that hosted a lot of rocks. Running over to her, Zephyr tapped her on the shoulder. “Hi!!” they said excitedly, grinning ear to ear. “Do you like rocks? How long have you been going to this school? Can we be friends?” The words came out their mouth in a tumble, leaving them breathless. Pausing to recuperate, the picked up a tourmaline. “This rock pink like your eyes! You should keep it.” Zephyr is giving this to my Mao.
The fallen was extremely happy that Burvia was happy with the gift he had gotten for her. To be totally honest he wasn't quite sure how she was going to react to it, since she was always so fashion forward. "We can still put our pictures in it when we get the chance!" He smiled at the geist before turning his attention back to Citali.
She hadn't run off yet...though it seemed like she was about ready to. "I'm sorry that I've managed to put you in this situation, Citali...if you're too uncomfortable, please don't stay around---what kind of book is that?" His entire train of thought shifted to the book that she was trying to hide for some reason.
Niamh ran, excitedly, into the festival. She'd finally convinced her caretaker to let her attend and she was going to PLAY. She noticed a pretty striped rock at the first booth she visited, and picked it up. "OOO! It's multi colored, like my hair and eyes!" She said, showing it to whoever might be near.

"I dunno, I haven't deshided yet." She shrugged a little, watching Husk tap at his own locket. Maybe a family portrait..? Or maybe just a picture of her and her friends - if she got them all together. Would Piper like Husk...? Would Husk like Piper? She wasn't really sure. They were... very different people. Piper was outgoing and super friendly... and Husk was.. well... Not shy? But not really outgoing. And had a weird definition of "friendly."
She watched as he just... placed the beanbag through the hole. Sae couldn't help but giggle, Husk certainly had some strange ideas about how to do things. It was a shame the lady wasn't going to let him have a prize, he clearly didn't know how to play the game. "C'mon Hushk, we can go play shomeshing elshe shat'sh more intereshting." She reached out to take his hand, and then pulled him along to find a new game before any more discomfort could arise.
"There'sh a spin-the-wheel shing over shere? It'sh not really a game but maybe we'll get shomeshing good out of it?"

Alyssum stared at the goings on around her, wondering what on earth had even motivated her to leave her nice, quiet room where she had her books and her adorable salamanders. Part of it was probably curiosity. She understood Bakenekos and Nagas, but these all these new races and the things they took as common place were so odd and alien to her. A festival was a good time to observe and learn. And, well... The other part of it was that she didn't want to seem too strange. She wasn't antisocial, just super, super quiet. She doubted she'd make any friends from this venture, but it couldn't hurt to maybe be seen?
She walked along, trying not to completely hide on the sidelines but not trying to be noticeable either. Apparently she was doing something right, because a smiling adult with loads of plushies came up to her and offered her one. Alyssum silently selected a pretty vespercat plushie, and gave the adult a small smile.

Rowan stood outside, smelling strongly of rosemary from the salve they had liberally applied to keep the cold air from drying out their skin. They really didn't understand the point of these festivals; they were just a disruption to the academic routine, and a waste of time Rowan could have spent studying. The had tried to do some self study, but there was just too much noise. Your ears were blasted with sound every time you went near a window, and there were a ton of students going up and down the halls chatting about it and giggling to themselves. Rowan had finally given up and decided to visit the monstrosity that had brought about disruption to their ordered little world.
It was about as chaotic as they expected it would be. People and things all over the place. Rowan found a plushie on the ground that appeared to have been dropped and forgotten. A complete tripping hazard if there ever was one. They picked it up, intent on being a force for order and responsibility.
Raleka nodded at Morginn's comment about living below. Thanks to her mixed genes, the half-Chimera did not need exposure to the same amount of light that a whole Dryad would, but she still often felt lethargic if she didn't sit under the occasional UV bulb. Sometimes it was unbearably dark down here, and she certainly could admit that she was sometimes very homesick.
Some people around were grabbing elastic beaded bracelets and using them as necklaces on their completed plushes, even if it was a little more tight than would have looked comfortable. The hybrid picked one up, compared it to both the fabrics she was working on, and decided it would look better on her wrist. After all, it did almost match the color of her hair and wings!
Raleka's eyes widened as Morginn handed over his completed plush to the other Fey. He completed his sewing so quickly! Raleka looked over at her one anda half finished limbs and felt she needed to focus harder on what she was doing. The plush Morginn had made was really cute, and it seemed like he was piecing together all sorts of fabric for the second one. Renge still had not begun work on her first plush.
After working diligently for several minutes, Raleka had haphazardly stitched together the pieces of every bit of her first plush, and turned them right-side out. Now she could begin stuffing them.

Makayla looked around, it was a little too chaotic for her liking but it was a social event so she couldn't blame herself for that. She tapped her chin lightly with a finger. Well, actually most that attended she didn't even know by name or face, that was a little offputting. But, she was pretty certain that was how social events were, it took a effort on her part to go socialize and she figured that would be a smart thing to do instead of her waiting for people to approach her, she just didn't know how to go about it.
"Ack!" Rajna didn't know what to say. She hadn't expected anything in return for her gift of plushie, but ... the necklace was so darn pretty! She couldn't keep herself from accepting it, despite the fierce desire to decline. He did, after all, buy it. And so it'd be rude to just pretend like it never happened. And she did want it.
Rubbing her chin with an open palm, the girl reached out with her claws and accepted the locket from him. "You didn't have to, you know ... " she said quietly. But, now she felt like she had to get him something else. But ... what? What else could she get him.
For now, she decided to distract them with some conversation. "Well," she began, walking away, hoping he'd follow as she slipped the locket around her neck. It went quite nicely with her current outfit. "If the kid really is energetic -- assuming he is a kid; you did say little sibling, yes? -- then I think those bracelets are durable enough to last on a child. I hope. Sounds like you'd know him best, tho!" Rajna tightened the strap of her bag, keeping her eyes peeled for something that might work as a 'thanks for giving me something gift' that she could gift to her new goblin companion.
As she wandered, tail dragging lightly behind her (the damn thing was just SO heavy, and she was used to sitting all day long after all), the chimera spotted a table selling books, and the girl perked, sauntering over to it.
Galan seemed the type to like books. Maybe a book would be a nice end gift.
Scooping up a copy of Tide and Prejudice, Rajna turned to the boy with a gormless smile and offered the book to him, but it dawned on her suddenly she hadn't even told the boy her name. "Ack!" she cried again, giving her head a small shake as a realization settled over her, cheeks flushing a little. "I'm sorry, I'm so bad at this ... ugh, I totally spaced on telling you my name, even right after you told me yours. I'm Rajna." she paused then. "Hmmn ... that sounds so weird to say out loud."
Talya's next toss was interrupted by the arrival of a beautiful pink cat. She cooed and petted it. So pretty! "I'm going to take you home with me," she whispered to it.

Just as a girl next to him was entranced by a beautiful pink cat, SL was making a friend of his own. He smiled and petted the lovely blue coatl that was flickering its tongue over his feet. He scooped it up and hugged it against his chest.
Pleased that he'd made a good selection, Galan beamed a happy grin. She started moving off, but still talking to him, so he picked up his feet and scrambled after her, careful to side-step her lumbering tail. Reflexively, he curled his light, flexible tail up tight against his back, subconsciously thankful for his nimbleness.
"Rajna?" he repeated, to make sure he had it right. "That's a lovely name," he reassured when she commented on it being strange to say out loud. He began to suspect that she wasn't used to interacting with others in person.
Before he really had a chance to ask what she normally did for fun, she had stopped at a bookseller stall and Galan perked up, tucking into her side. As he was perusing the titles, she offered him a book. "Oo! What's this?" he asked, completely misunderstanding the gift and thinking she was simply recommending a good book. "Are you an avid reader too?" he asked cheerfully, flipping through.
