 Valentein had made it to the next class in their schedule, Health and P.E. Val cringed at the thought of being physical and possibly running and jumping. They'd rather prefer to sit quietly and read a book but maybe since they were still fairly young, the teacher wouldn't ask too much of them. Upon entering the class, they again picked another place to sit away from others. As the session started, it was explained that it would be an oral assignment. Excellent, that was something they could manage. Then the topic came: their favorite food and why. Valentein's heart sank a bit as it was a difficult topic personally for them but they felt strong enough to at least get through this as quick as possible. At one point, they had considered lying but what good would it do to hide their insecurity. It was better to face things with unwavering confidence. As it came to Valentein's turn, they stood and placed a fist over their mouth to clear their throat a bit. Val was hesitant for a moment but took a deep breath and spoke as normal, "My favorite food is Chicken Parmesan. It is my favorite food because my mother used to cook it a lot and it was something I enjoyed eating. Of course I know it's healthy because she made it." Val paused for a moment. "It's healthy because it has grains, meat, dairy and vegetables. No complex sugars are used in its ingredients. Unless you want to use it, then that's up to you." Valentein shifted their eyes a bit in awkward silence then sat back down. At least it was over.

 Public speaking... It was Alyssum's worst enemy. She sighed internally, but stood up when it was her turn to answer. There were a couple moments of silence; it felt like the words were heavy and she was literally having to work to get them out of her mouth. "I like peppers." Not the most specific of answers since there were many different kinds of peppers, but since Alyssum liked pretty much all of them for one reason or another she didn't feel bad about not clarifying her favorites. "They are a plant. I think they are healthy." She thought about adding something about color, but that was just more words she'd have to fight to force out; if she didn't clarify what she meant. People might think she meant any kind of colorful plant was good to eat, and that certainly wasn't true. She really hoped she'd said enough though; maybe she should ask the teacher if she could just write down her answer next time.  Rowan brushed their bangs behind their ear before they stood up, wanting to appear neat to make a good impression. "My favorite food is fish. It doesn't matter what kind or how it's prepared. Well, every kind I've had so far I liked, so maybe there might be ways of preparing fish that I won't like." Rowan paused to mentally run through all the different fish dishes they'd tried in their life. "It depends on how you cook it if it's healthy or not. Fish is supposed to be good for you, but if you fry it then you're adding a lot of fat. A little every now and then is fine, but if you eat fried fish all the time then it's not that good for you." Rowan nodded a little, then sat back down in their seat.

 Cervina grinned as she hopped up. She loved people, she didn't understand why it was such an issue to chat it up a bit. "I like eggs, especially when they're scrambled, hard boiled or dippy! I'm not really picky with my favorite." She straightened up, tail gently swaying as she pondered if they were healthy or not. "Honestly, it depends on how they're made. Having a hard boiled egg is better for you than a scrambled one, I think. Mostly because you have to use butter and that's not very good for you. A lot of salt on them isn't good for you either, so you have to be careful. So just take an egg and enjoy it for what it is, delicious!" With that, she sat back down, grinning.

 The litch frowned when it was his turn. He knew he wasn't as confident as the goblin before him, but he would try his best. "My favorite food is pizza, especially with pepperoni and extra cheese." He smiled at the thought of that melty cheese and nearly wished that it was lunch time after this. "Oh, um, it really isn't a healthy food because there's a lot of grease when you buy it from a lot of stores, but there are ways to make it healthier. You can use more veggies or even make your own sauce so you know what's in it." He would definitely have to grab a snack before his next class, all of this was making him really hungry!

  Cyota was eager to tell the class ALL about their favorite food. After all, eating took up a long time of your day. Why NOT be proud of eating and what you liked to eat? When it finally came to the Litch, they jumped up and announced proudly, "My absolute favorite, positutely greatest, super duper food is Pizza! Especially beef and olives!" Now, the next part... Was it healthy, "Well it's not super healthy, but it's super duper yummy..." Oh well. They were active enough to not worry about that. They sat down, proud that it was over.T-talking..? T-talking in class? Oh... Manny did not like this. He wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with ANY of this. Sweating profusely, he sunk into himself and pulled the hoodie tighter around his face. He awaited, practicing over and over and over again what he would say. Sadly, the time to talk came much too soon.
"I-I AM MANNY AND I LIKE.... I like... Icecream..." He spoke softer and softer, sinking further into himself, "especially.. chocolate... chip?"
Okay... Okay, he could do the second part, "I... I... it's not healthy.."

 Healthy habits, huh? Kuchena pursed her lips as she thought about it. "I can't really say that I'm the healthiest of nightmares, I do enjoy watching movies and eating junk food a bit too much ... but I do enjoy running the track in the evenings after class."
"It's relaxing to me and I don't really have an issue with 'keeping it up,' especially considering I've been running since I was small. My mother used to strap me on her back as an infant and go running, so it's pretty much in my blood." It was a bit odd, she hadn't brought up her mother in a long time. She would have to write a letter when she got home.

 The little goblin struggled to come up with an answer, playing with her skirt for a few moments as she rushed to come up with something, anything. Why was she so nervous?? "I'm a vegetarian, so I only eat plants." Well, no duh. "So, I, uh, I take a supplement to make sure I get the proper vitamins and nutrients that I don't get from my diet."
Was that really healthy though? Rica thought in a panic, "Uh, otherwise, I limit my junk food?" Ugh! Why was this so difficult?!

 Janine gave a huff as she sat in a tangle. PE had always been her worst topic, but this just solidified it. Grace wasn't her name for obvious reasons and, as she brushed herself off, she thanked her parents for naming her as such. This class was going to be death of her.

Janine wanted to scream. At least last time she just got stuck, but this? This was just embarrassing. She was starting to doubt if she had even an ounce of athletic ability. At least last time she got stuck, but to break an obstacle? UGH.

 Favorites foods? That was something Callie never thought much about. There weren't as many things back home as compared to here it seemed! After thinking about it a little bit, she took her turn -- or at least tried to. "I... uhmmm.. Well back home, sometimes we would have fish and rice. We didn't have it a lot, but that was my favorite thing b-back a... ah... achoo!" oh gosh! she had gotten nervous. Of course that came along with another sneeze. Oh she was so embarrassed and close to crying. Seeing as she couldn't quite run and hide from this situation, the neko wiped her eyes and sniffled as she spoke more softly now. "It's pretty healthy and yummy. I wish we... could have had fish a l-little more often. Since.. uhm.. coming here, I really like the sweets and candies, but they aren't very good for you and too many made my tummy hurt..." and then she took her seat again, shrinking down some to try and make herself feel smaller in her chair.

An obstacle course... Sha was, admittedly, not pleased about this activity but he supposed it had its merits. He made his way through in his own time, not exactly keen on getting himself injured by rushing like some of his other classmates seemed to be doing. Once he made it to the end, he wandered off to the side to grab his water bottle, and then resumed watching the others. Maybe it had been at least a little fun.

Tears brimmed in the Geist's eyes as she broke yet another obstacle. What was wrong with her?? Why couldn't she just make it through these simple exercises? She felt so bad, she wanted to run away! Though with her luck, she'd probably just face plant.

Zenith made it about halfway through before she managed to topple over a couple of the tables Kirket had set up as "shields" for the people who were taking their turn playing "ball tossers."
WELP. Time to try that again...
