Nahmir couldn't resist! The plushie was just soooo cute! It reminded him so much of Flo, and the hybrid forked over as much cash as was necessary before scooping the oversized plush in to his arms and wandering off with it. He'd stash it at his place and arrange to have it delivered to Flo ... ! Maybe he would be able to find something else to go along with it! Imogen kept surveying the goodies, trying to find something suitable for Filigree ... but no such luck was to be had. At least, not yet. ----------- A slime had completely caught Raenen off guard. It had jumped in to his path and had completely spooked him, conjuring a small 'eep' from deep within the otherwise peaceful and serene man. Once the kumiho had a moment to catch his breath, he bent down and scooped up the familiar. It was ... actually kind of cute. Maybe he would keep it, if it wanted to stay ...

 Laurel hummed thoughtfully as she accepted a piece of candy and munched on it. "How about Charlie? It's one of those names that can sound either strong or cute. Strong like a rock, but cute on the outside. What do you think, like it," she asked the rock as she lifted it to eye level, laughing a little. It was probably just her imagination but she fancied the rock rather liked its new name. A junior walking past with a bunch of bracelets heading for one of the stands inside (probably to restock) suddenly jolted Laurel's memory. "Oh goodness, I almost forgot," she exclaimed, lowering her hand and fishing around in her pocket. She reached out and took Flax's hand, maneuvering it palm up and placing a ring there. "Since I gave you one last year it seemed right to just continue the tradition. Like how people collect particular trinkets during certain events," she said, grinning. smolderingskies For Flax

Marie tiptoed daintily around the Jubilee, showing off her new lacy pink dress. Love was in the air, and as an aspiring match-maker, Marie was totally in her element. She could watch the crowd endlessly, picking up on telltale signs and complimenting mannerisms that were more pronounced because of the holiday. As her eyes wandered through the crowd, they landed on a familiar calico coat and long rosey braid. A smile spread across her face, memories of their encounter in the courtyard flitting through her mind. "Percy! What a delight seeing you here." she purred, approaching him from her people-watching spot. "Enjoying the Jubilee?" she asked, noticing a purple bakeneko rubbing against her leg. She briefly dipped down to give it a few strokes before straightening up, sapphire eyes flashing from beneath her bangs.

 Errai clung to their new plush bear, trying to come up with a name when they realized there was something on the bear. They mused, turning the bear over when they noticed that there was a rainbow ring on the bear's arm!Errai Things-  The little slime was still following behind Remi when they tossed a ball into the basket, winning a bat plushie!Remi Things-  Valik had handed his roses to his chaperone, skipping happily to the next booth where he got a cute little necklace!Valik Things-  Giedi wandered toward the next booth, looking over all the cute trinkets when a black ring caught his eye.  Taboo had stuffed the plushie into a bag he brought with him to carry his things, when another kid handed him a pretty necklace! That one he put on around his neck!Taboo Things-  Banshee let the specterfox lead her around the fairgrounds. She felt a little more safe with it around. It led her toward a booth with lots of chocolates!Banshee Things-  Xander tilted his head at the rainbow ring. He guessed it was alright for a child's trinket, and stuck it in his pocket.Xander Things-  Talora paused in her tracks when she noticed a cute little jackalope in a cage. She touched it gently, looking up and asking the booth owner how to win such a cute little creature.Talora Things-

 Pandora couldn't help but smile when Arion handed her the cute bracelet that he had won from the next booth. She was so happy that she immediately put it on, showing it off to anyone who asked.Pandora Things-  Keriga tilted his head, not entirely sure what to do with the rock familiar. It just sat there, doing nothing. Was it really alive?Keriga Things-  Amethyst held onto Trystine's hand, making sure the child didn't get lost in the crowd. She was seriously happy to be able to spend this time with them.Amethyst Things-  Kiessi continued wandering around, wondering where their siblings had gone.  Seriously, what was up with this vespercat? Another plushie? They were beginning to think that this cat had a major klepto problem...Xersi Things-  Dierdre smiled gently at her new familiar, gently stroking it's fur when she nearly backed into a table full of ferns. She blinked and gently picked one up, thinking it'd make a great addition to her room.Dierdre Things-  As Ullaya was playing with her new slime familiar, she noticed that there was another pair of eyes staring at her.  Hella walked along looking at the different booths when a teddy bear caught her eye. It was at a whack a flitterrat game, the flitterrats were old stuff flitterrats that popped up on a little plate from. Hella really wanted to win a teddy bear so she hit as many of the fake familiars as she could. She finally got a high enough score to win the teddy bear. She smiled and thanked the litch running the booth for the teddy bear. She took the black bear with the pink thorn markings and cuddled it. It was so cute and Hella loved it so much.

 Arachnne looked around the festival as she walked, she hoped she would find a book stand so she could add some more books to her library. That would be delightful. She stopped at a candy booth and picked up a bag of candy, she wished she had someone to share it with. She loved reading romance novels but it got depressing sometimes as she dreamed of finding someone who would love her even near as much as the couples did in the books she loved. Arachnne sighed hunter's festival bitter sweet festival for someone who didn't have a significant other.

 Tancred picked up a box of chocolates as he wandered the festival, looking about at everyone at the hunter's jubilee. It seemed like a nice festival. He wondered what drove this love fest along on the psychological side of things. There were a lot of beings who were driven to find that special someone or someones. Tancred wanted to find two someones someday. He wasn't sure what had made him that way, perhaps it was something to look into or perhaps it was just something he would have to accept as who he was. Some psychological mysteries would likely stay that way.

 Litheria found the cutest little creature every!! She gently picked it up and cuddled it. Then she smiled at her spectrafox and then the little slime. She was very surprised she was meeting so many familiars today. Perhaps she would get lucky and find the being of her dreams today too. She giggled at the thought, finding a familiar she supposed was easier than finding the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. She looked around the festival to see what else was going on and who else was at the hunter's festival. She hadn't been in the area last time the festival was at the school.

Flax's cheeks flushed bright red to match the ring Laurel slipped into his hand. He slid it onto his finger, to take its place right next to the lilac one she had given him last year. He hardly ever took it off, not even to shower, and the ring had never rusted or shown any sign of wear and tear. Perhaps it was enchanted, but a little part of him liked to think it was as withstanding as Laurel's love. And now he had a second one. "Thank you," he said, eyes watering a bit, clasping her hand in his.
He decided to lead her along so they could both get a good look at the festivities, and had absentmindedly reached into the candy bag when he felt something soft and squishy on his fingers. "Wha-- oh, look at this! It's a baby salamander!" The tiny, candy-colored familiar uncurled in his palm, and he gently handed the little thing to Laurel. "I wonder how long it was hiding in there."

Annie was rather fond of Hunter's Jubilee. It was at this time of year that he had been adopted, and because of that it had become his favorite time of year. With Mavis the flitterat on his shoulder, like always, the Fey had made his way down from his dorm to the festival. Sometimes his mom brought the twins and her boyfriend to the festival, and he hoped he might see her - but if he didn't, that would be alright. He didn't mind making new friends regardless.
He had gotten a little ways into the party when he noticed a table covered in brightly colored rocks. Lifting one of them up, Annie was greatly surprised to see that these were geniune pet rocks! He'd read about them before, and he knew they were living creatures with internal organs and everything. In fact, he'd just been reading up on their anatomy the other day. "Hey little guy," he crooned, stroking the rock with a finger. The Fey was too focused on his new friend, however, because a moment later he bumped into another junior. "O-oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I was too busy talking to my rock, here," he explained hastily, showing her the rock.

 Natsumi wasn't really paying attention to where she was going either when she bumped into another junior, she looked up hear their voice and saw the green fey. "Oh I'm sorry it was just as much my fault I wasn't paying attention either, I guess I was looking at the decorations more than I was looking where I was going." She said blushing. Then she looked down at the fey's familiar "Pretty pet rock." She said in a friendly tone. "I'm Natsumi" she said warmly. She smiled looking at the fey's shirt "I like your shirt it's really cute, a bunch of my siblings are nixie hybrids I bet they would love your shirt too." She said with a small laugh.

 Morginn chuckled. "She's a clever kid," he said with some pardonable pride. He felt like Fiore got her mother's intelligence, but some of his drive. Not that Araceae couldn't be driven at times, especially when she was on to an interesting bit of science, but Dryad energy levels tended to be more subdued compared to Fey. "It'd definitely have to be a few years before you have to worry about that! I don't think Arinas' old enough to concentrate his magic to imbue a stone, even with help. We'll just have to settle for stepping back and watching how such a romance would unfold." Morginn was aware he probably sounded like some kind of creepy meddling parent, but he couldn't help it. Watching new love grow was just so....cute! He had the feeling that Arinas was going to have a very adorable romance someday. "Well that's no good," Morginn said, looking at Alrai's crystal ball. He glanced around and spotted something. "Hang on, this way," he said, reaching out and taking Alrai's hand and giving it a gentle tug to get him to follow. They ended up at a bean bag toss game. Thankfully there wasn't a line at the moment, so Morginn was able to step up and play the game. He did quite well, and when it came time to choose his prize he picked the thing that had caught his eye. "There we go," he said, plunking the heart-covered nezubat plushie in Alrai's arms. "Who needs a crystal ball when you've got the nezubat of love!" Nasaiki I honestly don't know why Morginn went down that thought path, but I couldn't stop him OTL   Rowan shook their head. "They were all over the place last year as we-," they started to say, and were interrupted by a slime landing right on top of their head. They were a little ashamed at the squawking sound they let out, but geez, what were you supposed to do when something goopy just landed on top of you out of nowhere?! They pried the slime off their hands and held it in front of them with a glare. The slime, oblivious, made some happy squeaking sounds. It appeared to be chatting with the one Giotto had. "Guessing they're friends," Rowan said, trying to sound grumpy when it sounded a bit more like they were pouting. That was such an undignified reaction...   Vincent laughed. "Well thankfully I've never put a ton of stock in divination anyway. Something Giselle and I have in common, I think. We're both hands-on and active rather than just waiting for something to "come true." He shrugged. "Just one less thing to worry about, anyway." He was about to suggest they try one of the games when a meowing from around his ankles interrupted him. Vincent looked down and spotted a vespercat, who promptly stood and tapped at his waist with a paw in a clear demand for attention. He laughed and complied. "Bold! My vespercat at home isn't nearly so motivated in seeking attention!"
