   Right. Well. Scooping in her skirt wasn't working, so Jayd tried again with her hands. She slid in a slime trail and tried to catch one in her hands. She would get one of these things. Eventually.Maylis ran after a group of slimes trying to grab even one of them. Really. Just one. And then she could stop feeling silly and go back to class with Crux.Gryffyn was not sure this was going to be as fun as their father said it would be. But they wouldn't give up, either. Not with Drayden watching from the sidelines. They had to at least try.

Still determined to catch one of these slimy things, Jayd kept trying to catch one in her hands. It was hard! Much harder than some of the others made it seem. She would not give up, though.Maylis still tried to catch one, even waving Crux back when her sister offered to help. No, no, she needed to do this by herself. That was what Tamandani said. She shouldn't rely on Crux all the time. Easier said than done.Gryffyn scowled a little as the creatures continued to evade them. Now it was a matter of pride and the little hybrid would not walk away without one.

Jayd was thinking seriously about taking a break. She'd seen a couple of these things just jump into laps so she slid to the floor and tucked her legs underneath herself. She sat still, watching the slimes as they jumped around.Maylis huffed and made a grab for a slime. She would get one of these things! It couldn't possibly be as hard as she was making it on herself. Maybe she was thinking too hard.Gryffyn flopped onto their stomach after a flying catch had failed. The slimes had skittered away from them even as they grabbed for whatever was closest.

Cora had holed herself away in her dorm room to work on her science class homework. There was dissections coming up, and she was excited for it. But her "boyfriend" -- as her friends called him -- had called her and told her that she needed to get out of that stuffy room and out to see what the heck was going on! She didn't really say anything, just sighed into phone before hanging up. It didn't take long for her to get out of the room and onto the grounds to find all the commotion! There was an adorable invasion and she totally wanted one of these things! She tried to grab one up, but it got away.

The escape of the little slimy creature made the imp pout her lips as she contemplated getting a game plan together. A plan of attack! Crossing her arms, she reached up with one and tapped a claw on her chin as she watched and observed the little critters bouncing and sliding about every which way they possibly could. After a few minutes of humming and hawing over what to do to try and catch one, she then tried to sneak up on one of the slimes. She was ever so quiet as she tip-toed, but the slime bolted! Drat! It must have sensed her anyways.

Okay... so quietly stalking attempt one didn't work, but she decided it was too early to throw that sort of strategy out the window. Another little slime was close by and didn't seem to notice her yet! With a slight smirk on her face, she creeped toward the little thing. What Cora hadn't noticed was a twig on the ground. Her little feet stepped on it and it snapped underfoot, making the slime look at her then squish away as fast as it could! Double drat! She was starting to think that sneaking up on the slimes wasn't a solid idea for the moment.

Esti was distracted with the last few bits of sweet sugar that was left on her fingertips. She knew she looked foolish, but why would she waste the last bits of the treat she had just inhaled? It was foolish to waste, and she was not a fool. Ignoring the people around her, which was quite a task considering the chaos of the schoolgrounds, she brushed her wet fingers on her pale sweatshirt before finally raising her head to focus on the path before her.
She struggled a bit not to whine, and thankfully a distraction proved useful.
Everywhere creatures were bouncing about, moving in different ways depending on their appearance. It was a only a few that really caught her eye, mostly thanks to how round, shiny, and sweet they appeared. Were they snacks? How convenient, considering she currently was snackless and had no sweets upon her person. Oh yes, this was a perfect way to end her binge, and she honed in on a single pink and blue puff before slithering with speed and determination at the bouncing slime.
Her arms easily snuck around the unsuspecting creature, and she lifted it up by its round body and brought it to her fanged face. It was only at the last second that the little thing opened it's green eyes, and she nearly yelped at the surprise and whined a bit as she held it away from her face.
"Are you a snack?" She hissed out, eyes narrowing in turn as she punched and bounced the creature between her palms. It responded a little, but seemed to only warm her fingers and let out a sigh of contentment. Esti furrowed her brow under her thick bangs, before tipping her head back with a huff.
Oh what an absolute let down. Moving to hold the slime in her arms, she slithered slowly away, ignoring the others and huffing silently for a moment, "I hope you aren't hungry, because the snacks belong to me. You wont get any, you hear?"
She would take it home, and at least it would remind her of sweet candies. It'd probably be best to let it sleep somewhere else, otherwise she might eat it like she eats her pillows when she has an especially sweet dream.

Cora stood there again, debating what her next attempt at trying to catch a slime would be. Sneaking up on them had proven to be an effort in futility and so now she had to come up with a different plan of action. She wasn't particularly athletic or fast, so she'd have to be more crafty and figure out how to outsmart the little things. Then again... that sure seemed like it was going to go into something of a lot of effort right now. She really needed to get back to studying! Deciding to try chasing, she picked one and went after it! It turned out to be a bit faster than she thought, though...

Cora continued to chase after the slime she had decided to go after, but the more she chased after the little thing, the further away it seemed to get from her. Dang... It really was a fast little booger! Huffing, she decided to let the thing go off and be someone else's problem. Pursing her lips, Cora furrowed her brows as she tried to figure out if she should try chasing one again, or come up with another game plan. Tilting her head back and forth a few times as she debated, the imp decided that she'd give chasing a slime one more try!

Taking in a deep breath, Cora then clapped her paws together and rubbed them. She was working on getting herself psyched up for trying to go after a slime again... mostly for the fact that now she really wanted one over just trying to get one. The few she had chased around were really cute and, well, they were very interesting! She was beginning to wonder how they differed from normal familiars and how similar they were. Really, she was starting to think on how to it might be fun to observe one on a closer level. Taking a breath, she chased after one again, grabbing at it, only for it to slip through her claws!

After the failed chase try again, she decided that she didn't want to tucker herself out with running around haphazardly after these things. Her lips pouted again and she twitched her nose back and forth as she tried to decide what to do next! The words 'build a better mouse trap' came to mind, and she smirked. She'd trap one of these things! Making a quick run to her room and then back out near a tree, she set up a crate, bait, and tied a rope to the crate. She shimmied up the tree and onto a branch, pulling the rope to raise the crate up. There she waited, huffing as she slimes didn't take much notice in the food she left for them.

The time seemed to pass slowly for her as she lay in wait on the branch that was about five feet or so above the ground. A few slimes looked like they might take the bait, but either got chased by someone else, or turned their noses up at it. Hmmm... Apparently her choice in bait hadn't been the best. Then again, jerkied meat might not be something slimes were interested in? Poo. All the same, she stayed the course and waited while she watched. Surely enough, not much later, the cutest little slime took an interest in the jerky! It crept up on it slowly, and made it's way under the crate to give a sniff! Quickly, Cora let the rope go and the crate came down! She caught it! Grinning from ear to fuzzy ear, she worked her way down the tree and carefully lifted the crate to snitch up the slime! Victory! It tasted so sweet~... Kind of like teriyaki jerky.

 Morginn finally caught one of the little scamps! He knew that if he just sat still long enough one of them would come over to investigate. Now what should he do with it? Araceae was pretty absorbed with science, maybe she'd find it interesting to keep. Or one of the kids would like to keep it for a pet. It seemed pretty friendly! Nasaiki For Araceae, Fiore, Alrai, or Arinas, whoever would like it the most.   Jaden had caught one! Now what did he do with it? All the adults seemed too busy trying to catch the many slimes still bouncing around. He could always keep it, but he didn't think his familiars would like that too much. He looked around, and spotted a winded-looked Bakeneko nearby. He trotted over, tugged on the Bakeneko's sleeve, and offered up the slime, feeling very shy. "You want this," he asked in a soft voice. "I can't keep it." Katsura Zanshin For Thomas, if he wants it.
