 Creeping up behind this purple snake-like slime, Citali carefully and quietly made no noise, even held her breath as she snuck up behind the slime. Then, she jumped, wrapping her arms around the snake-slime. It hissed and whined a little bit, upset about being startled, but then quietly calmed down and started nuzzling against her. "Well...d...d..despite how h..hard you were to c...c..catch, you are adorable." She smiled down at the slime and then proceeded to wonder what to name it.

 Damn; she'd really want to catch a slime for the other chimera. She huffed out a weak laugh, disappointment melting away as she was focused on. Even as she internally fretted -- she couldn't even catch a slime to aid Mytrax, how useless was she in this equation -- a vivid smile was stretched wide on her lips. She gave a vague nod in Ravid's direction. "It must've been absolutely charmed by you, love," Lux winked, suggestive that the other chimera was too beautiful for the creatures to resist. "Well, of course, I did. A lady such as myself never misses a chance to present their betrothed with a present!" A one-shoulder shrug, "It seems that intent has been foiled; I'll have to do something much better then." And she knew the chimera would try to convince her otherwise, she knew Mytrax hated it. Then again how else could she show how much she liked her fiancée? The imp took note of Mytrax's smile and felt a knot tighten in his stomach as he made his way towards her. He paused when the other chimera's voice broke in -- had she invited both her fiancée and him? If that wasn't mixed signals... -- and felt as though his presence may have been an intrusion. He didn't catch Mytrax's smile falter but he did note Lux's as his gaze caught on the strange stillness. The blue chimera was so exuberant and flirtation that it piqued his interest but he didn't have time to linger on it as Mytrax turned her attention to him again. He chuckled, wry, as he glanced at the slimes both chimeras held, "Not yet, they're not. I only just arrived." He wasn't entirely sure he wanted to catch any of the nuisances, not with the way the black one Lux held seemed to be burrowing into the chimera's embrace. Only seconds it ago it had seemed to be wriggling to get free and now -- well, he wasn't sure he wanted a pet. A reply was on the tip of his tongue -- the jab had been well delivered in the sense that it could either be insulting all goblins for their subservient facade (in which case, how atrocious, seeing as it was her kind's fault for it) or implying that he was the one well acquainted with insanity but then he was well-equipped to win any war of wit -- Jonathan's smirk deepened, rebuttal choked, as a slime smacked the elf in the face. Ha! Well-deserved, he thought. "Perhaps there's a wheel barrow around, I could put you in it and watch as these things responded to your ugly mug," he mocked, eyes glinting at the idea. And clearly it had merit. One slime has certainly been repulsed enough to smack her. (And really, he understood the urge; ah to be a gentleman.)

   Taegan squinted at the slimes. There were so many jumping around, couldn't one of them stay still long enough for the pink litch to catch one? They would keep trying though.
Oh hey, maybe the squinting worked.Drayden laughed a little as he slid halfway down the hall in an attempt to grab a slime. He had thought that maybe if he dive bombed it, he'd be able to grab one but he was unsuccessful.
And then when he least expected it, one jumped onto his face. Zeta made to grab at another slime but it slipped through her fingers. "Ugh!" she exclaimed as she slid onto the floor gracelessly. She shifted her skirt to cover the necessary bits while her face blushed a dark, embarrassed red.

  Zeta sat up and huffed, staying still for a moment. Maybe if she sat still enough, one of them would come around to perch on her. Like it was a butterfly or something. Ryker grinned. This was great! Oh, man, he was sure that his girls and Matty would love this! He tried to catch one to take and show them so they could catch their own.
And then one damn near jumped into his hands, making him bark out a laugh.Sid bounced around the hallway with his headphones covering his ears, humming to the music from his crystal player. The tunes were loud and the slimes around him seemed to bounce to the music even though they wouldn't be able to hear it.

 Zeta continued to sit still in hopes that a slime would rest on her. She was starting to get antsy, though. She wanted to get back to work; she really had a lot of classes to catch up with.
And then one landed in her lap. She squeaked and lunged for it, grabbing it close to her chest. It was really cute...Sid danced with the slimes as he tried to catch one, timing his movements with the beat of the music in his headphones. This was pretty fun!!Jayd stared for a moment, standing stock still in the midst of the moving slimes. She wasn't sure exactly why she'd come except the things sounded kind of interesting and looked cute. But how was she supposed to catch one? She reached out tentatively to try.

 Sid laughed as the slimes avoided his grasping fingers yet bounced against his wiggling hips. He tried to catch them as they bounced off of him but these things were pretty slippery! He'd get one though. He wondered what Cora thought, though.
He finally managed to catch one before it bounced off his hip. Hey, it kinda looked like a caramel candy!Jayd squeaked and yanked his fingers back as they brushed across a slime. "Eep!" She rubbed her hands on her dress and bit her lip. They didn't actually feel all that bad, it was just weird.Darrah snickered as he ran through the slime-filled halls. He'd get one of these things and put it in Nasrin's bed just to see how the demon reacted.
He laughed when his first attempt caught him one of the bouncy things. Nasrin was going to freak.

  Jayd continued to make the most adorable little eep'ing noises as she tried to catch a slime for herself. She kind of wanted a green one but really she'd take whatever jumped into her arms because she wanted to go back to her room...Bryony giggled as he ran into the fray. His dad, Aellys, was standing to one side holding onto his own slime and now it was Bryony's turn to get one for himself!
Ha! That was easy! And it looked so happy, too!Crux had left Maylis in her dust for a chance to grab a slime for herself. They were super cute! And she knew Maylis would catch up. She always did.
She giggled as one practically jumped under her sweater. It was blue and sleepy and adorable!! Maylis would love these.

  Jayd chewed her lip. The freshlings seemed to be better at this than she was. Glad for the slip beneath her skirts, she raised it up and tried to scoop one out of the air.By the time Maylis had gotten to the hallway where Crux was, her adopted sister had already caught one. She pouted a little, but at least Crux was there to cheer her on. Nasrin smiled serenely as he walked through the slime storm; they were all pretty cute but he wanted one that suited him. He took his time looking for one and focused on trying to catch it.
And lucky him, he caught it in his first try~

 Jayd was starting to get a little frustrated and she whined softly, still trying to catch one in her skirts. Maybe that wasn't such a good strategy. The freshlings were using their hands... Maybe she should, too.Maylis bit her lip when she didn't manage to catch one as quickly as Crux had. Still, her friend cheered her on so the purple imp kept trying. At least it was fun trying to catch one!Gryffyn blinked at the slime fest and narrowed their eyes. They weren't sure about this, but their dad had been adamant that Gryffyn would have fun. So they would try it.

 Ah man, no way was Freddy gonna miss out on something like this! Even if Headmistress Ava hadn't sent up the distress signal for all hands on deck, you'd have had a hard time keeping the Geist freshling away. It was pure chaos, but the best kind of chaos. All sorts of slippery little critters jumping all over the place, with people running around trying to catch them and more often than naught barely missing? Best kind of game ever! He'd been practicing his stretches and running, and he was ready to give slime catching a shot! Freddy picked a direction and charged, hoping to catch the slimes by surprise.

Freddy was doing his absolute best. He ran this way and that, trying to catch the slimes off guard in the hopes of catching one, but it seemed like they were just a bit too clever for his tricks. That or too slippery. He'd almost caught one a couple different times, only for them to slip away from his finger tips at the last second. He didn't let it discourage him though; if anything he was more determined than ever to catch one of the slimes. It was the equivalent of winning a game. He just had to do it, otherwise he'd feel like he hadn't really been giving his all!

Well, none of this seemed to be working. Maybe things would go better if he picked a particular slime and focused all his energy on it? Of course! That's why he'd been failing up until now. How could he catch one of the slimes if he kept spreading all his focus the way he had? He couldn't! He was just going to have to choose one. Freddy paused and peered at all the various slimes wiggling around him. He had to make sure to pick the perfect slime, so that way he would be sure to give his all in catching it. He looked and looked, then spotted the perfect target dead ahead! With a huge grin, Freddy took off after it. The slime made an interesting sound, then scuttled away.

Freddy was starting to feel a bit out of breath. Man, he should have been practicing a whole lot more on his stretches and running! His side was starting to hurt a little. Who'd have thought something so small could be so fast? He was determined to catch the slime though. He chased it all through the halls, dodging other slimes and students and teachers (and other random adults). It seemed like the slime was tiring too though! Freddy faltered, then willed more energy into his legs. No! He had this! He was totally going to win at this game and catch that slime! Determination drove him to move faster. He gathered himself, then leapt....

....felt his fingers close around the slime. He was able to turn just a bit so that he didn't crush the poor thing when he landed. The slime made some interesting sounds and wiggled a bit in his grasp, but it stilled after a few moments. Freddy sat up and examined his catch. It was kind of cute, and very colorful. He wondered what he was going to do with it. He hadn't actually thought about it; he just wanted to catch one to win at the game. Should he turn it over to a teacher? He was pretty sure Headmistress Ava said something about being able to keep them if they wanted, and it was pretty cute. It was actually quite friendly, and seemed as happy to stay in Freddy's lap as it was to be running from him. It even glowed a bit, now that he looked. The colors and swirls reminded him of a particular shirt... The Geist hopped up, still holding the slime. He knew what he'd do! He'd give the slime to Nef! He should have tried to find her in the beginning, but he'd been so excited that he'd just taken off. "I hope Nef forgives me," Freddy said aloud to the slime as he trotted off to find his best friend. C-C-CaFFIENE This little slime is for Nef!

 Morginn decided he really didn't want to go running after any slimes. Not only was it pretty crowded, but the little stinkers seemed fast. He really didn't want to risk a collision, or try jumping after any of them. He was a pretty short fellow, and he didn't want to damage his wings or flower!  Jaden was a bit baffled. It was crowded, tons of people all over the place. He'd had to shut his familiars in his room, since they were very unhappy with all the commotion. Jaden wasn't too happy with it himself, but if him catching one of these things made stuff calm down quicker, then he'd do his best!  Topaz looked down at the sound of her phone going off. Holding carefully to the slime with one hand, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the phone, flipping it open to read the message. She smiled, and quickly typed back a response. Huni Pi 'I'm already here. Quartz almost dragged me the entire way from the house. It's chaos, but looks like most people are having a good time. Are you already here?'
