This time around no one was selling those nifty glowing necklaces, but he would make do with a locket. It made him think of Cora, and as soon as he could catch her in a picture he would stick it in the locket so he'd always carry her with him.
Ryker hoped that Matty couldn't hear the way his heart rate picked up when the goblin turned to wink at him. "Definitely something like that, boo," he said with a soft chuckle. When the photo booth started taking pictures, Ryker did his best to focus on making silly faces with the goblin in his lap.
The grimm very nearly made up a need for a second strip of pictures when Matty slid off his lap. Suppressing a sigh, he smiled as he got out of the booth, laughing a little when Matty seemed so excited over the pictures. "Psh. Lies. You're adorable in all of these," he grinned and poked Matty's cheek with the tip of a claw. He looked back at the pictures for a second and almost missed when Matty left for a nearby table. He grinned at the picture he made with the rose in his mouth. "Very romantic, boo," he laughed as he came over. Something flashed in the grimm's eyes for a second before bending closer to Matty, smirking as he leaned in and bared his teeth moments before gripping the rose between them. "Mine," he declared, and wasn't quite sure if he was talking about the rose or the goblin....

A weight on top of his head made the demon look up and he giggled to see a pink nezubat perched there. It looked just like the plushie he'd won before~
To be honest, Allumin was getting rather tired of this festival. He looked to baron as the jackalope hopped around his feet, then led him down another random way. How much further was this little hoppity thing going to lead him? He couldn't be mad at Baron though. His new familiar seemed to be having a good time. As Allumin followed him, the jackalope led him to...a...game. Allumin sighed as the jackalope. "You are trying to make me enjoy myself aren't you?" He accused the fluffy purple creature. Sighing Allumin stepped up and began playing the game. Actually, it was kind of fun and relaxing. Allumin rolled some ping pong balls up a slight ramp to get them into little cups. The trick was to get three of them in cups that connected. it was harder than it seemed, but eventually he managed to win. Allumins eyes were bright as the boothman handed him a small vespercat plushie.
The coatl was wonderful company. Lachlan felt so much more relaxed with it on his shoulders. he lightly petted it's head and he felt it nuzzling his cheek. Yes. Now he felt so much better. As the naga slithered through the festival, he found himself instinctively drawn to a small tent where books were being handed out. His dark eyes were wide as he looked at the colorful selection before him. He found himself reaching up and helping himself to a book from the lot. It actually looked like it might be...a history? Maybe? Lachlan took the book and hugged it to his chest. He could read this later back at his dorm!
Quartz was super happy and continued to admire the bracelet around the wrist of the hand holding onto Topaz's hand. They were content to watch that for quite some time, before coming back into awareness of the festival going on around them and all the potential fun to be had. Right as they started looking around they noticed a table full of the most adorable plushies ever. Quartz squeaked and tugged on Topaz's hand to get her attention. "Momma, momma! Can I get a plushie momma? Please please please please please?"
Topaz nodded with a chuckle and told Quartz to pick one out. Quartz gave a happy little sound of joy and selected a pretty pink plushie the same color as Rose.
Freddy didn't seem at all phased by the girl's hesitant nod. He was pretty used to shy people and knew his fair share. A lot of them didn't talk any more than they had to. It made figuring them out just a bit harder, but that was part of the fun.
"Enjoying the festival? This is my first time seeing one! They're always more fun when you have other people with you though. I found some friends the other day, but I think they're still resting cause I haven't seen 'em since. You don't look like you have anyone with you though. Want to try playing a game?"
Alyssum had to blink a little as she took in the onslaught of all the little Geist's chatter. It was amazing how someone so very insubstantial-looking managed to give off so much energy. She debated her answer to his question. It was true that being in a festival alone wasn't as fun, though there was hardly any guarantee that she would enjoy it more with a stranger. In the end though, since there was no way to know, she decided to give it a shot. She nodded her head in agreement, and was rewarded with a bright smile and being dragged off to go play a game.
It wasn't too bad though. The Geist (whose name she still didn't know) didn't seem to have the agility needed to win the game he'd picked, but Alyssum did alright and got a nice little prize in the process.
Laurel held the plushie she'd won for Flax proudly in her paws as she looked around at what else there was to do at the festival. There were plenty of games to play for prizes, but there were also a lot of treats. She debated what to go for next, and decided on a treat. Hunter's Jubilee wouldn't be quite the same without some kind of candy, after all?
She found a stall selling some of the boxes and debated on which ones would be the best. To her knowledge Flax was okay with most kinds of chocolate, but she could have been a dunce and missed cues. In the end she choose a pretty red box that reminded her of him, and if he didn't like the candy she would be sure to get him something he would enjoy!
Samara was looking around, her new pet tucked securely under her arm and much calmer now as she stroked him reassuringly. She wanted to play a game, but should probably put the jackalope in her dorm room first. He had only just calmed down, she didn't want to startle him any more by suddenly trying to juggle him around.
Deciding it was for the best, Samara began the treck back up to the Academy and her dorm room. At least she was rooming alone right now, no one to explain an awkward sudden familiar to. She did snag a bag of candy on her way though, to make up for the detour.
He paused, seeing a gold and red locket in a booth. He negotiated for it, and then pocketed it, thinking he could put a picture of his adopted son in it.

Rowan was debating what they'd like to do next. The hustle and bustle was starting to die down, so it was beginning to look possible that the noise level might even taper off enough that they could go back to their dorm and read their books. But that coatl was still up there and they hadn't been able to find anyone to ask questions of yet... Okay, a bit more wandering.
Luck was in with the Nixie. It took a lot more wandering than they would have liked, but they finally found a Bakeneko that was at least junior age. They assured the young Nixie that the pet coatl had no venom and were quite safe. Rowan thanked them and went about on their way, happy to have the mystery solved. Hopefully the coatl wouldn't hold being shut in a room against them...
Although she was more interested in fashion and style, Amili was drawn to the books that the librarians had to offer. One in particular, with a handsome fey on the cover, caught her eye. She picked up a copy, blushed profusely, and then carried on her way. It seemed like it would be an interesting read!

Psyche snags: A plushie!
Aside from the flowers and the bracelet, Psyche wanted something else. The plushies were pretty cute, so why not one of them? She grabbed a fennekit that was colored teal and put it under her arm. She had a bit of a soft spot for plush toys, it seemed.
----
Phia snags: A plushie!
Phia was drawn to the plushies and the smaller ones, in particular. She picked up a blue bat and nodded her head with a smile. This one would do just nicely.

Reign snags: A plushie!
As they watched the couples milling about with big red eyes, something caught Reign's attention. A green sealpup plush was sitting on a table, and it was as if the toy called out to them. Reign slithered up wordlessly, picked up the toy, and hugged it close to themself. It was quite big against the little freshling's frame. Nevertheless, they hugged it tight and smiled happily. It was always nice to have a new toy!
