After getting one batch, two, batches, three, four, five batches of cookies done, Popple grinned as she stood back and admired her handy work. Seeing some of the accidents and oopses her classmates had, she waved them over and let them pick from her cookies. Well, except for the chocolate chipped ones. Those were going to her house for sure!
Xyla loved baking cookies--how could you not love baking cookies? It was so easy and so fun! She threw herself into it with gusto, working away at making the cookies and paying little attention to the time. Luckily, she managed to get everything done before the end of class, even finishing five different batches! She looked around the room for students whose cookies hadn't turned out as well as they could have. She handed each of those students five cookies--one of each of the kinds she'd made, and gave them each a smile, even if they couldn't see it behind her medical mask.
Lillian frowned at her cookie when it was done. Yes, cookie. Singular. She had meant to make lots of regular sized cookies, and yet, she'd ended up with a single large one. She'd probably made the cookies too large--yes, and then they had molded together on the pan. But was that necessarily a bad thing? Everyone loved pan cookies. Well, almost everyone, anyway. Cautiously, Lillian poked a toothpick into the center of the giant cookie. It came out clean, and she smiled. Cooked all the way through! Perfect. Now to get to work dividing the cookie into pieces to enjoy with her friends and classmates.
Eidil liked her cookies big and gooey--who didn't? But when the cookies came out of the oven, they weren't just big they were--well, they were Pangaea, but made out of cookies. What was the proper term for that? Pan...paneia? Pan-gaea? Eh, whatever. Eidil sliced her enormous cookie into pieces and tested it. Hm, yes--the inner most slices at least were the way she liked 'em, all gooey inside. The outer ones were crunchy, but hey, some people liked 'em crunchy, what can you do about it?
Wren wanted to cry, he wanted to be a great host and cook and the first batch of cookies he tried to make he burned. He must have left them in for too long or maybe he turned the oven on to hot. Wren wondered if the teacher would let him try again, or perhaps he would take the class again next month to prove he could do this. If that failed maybe he would just hire a cook for his bed and breakfast when he grew up.
Cookies. Cookies. The baking class had them baking the smalles, easiest-to-make treat there was to bake. Astra was more than confident in her abilities to cook these confection– and immediately started measuring out their dough ingredients, using a pot instead of the usual mixing bowl to make sure they'd have enough room for their extra batches.
Once that was done, they started making a sugar cookie dough, then immediately stuck it in the freezer to chill... before swinging back to the pantry to check the ingredients.
In the end, they made a chocolate no-bake coconut and oatmeal cookie, a rolled and frosted sugar cookie, and three variations on a conventional baked cookie– a double-chocolate, chocolate-filled, a classic chocolate chip, and a monster cookie, stuffed and studded with all manner of candy and, in the end, each made to look like a face.
She made up a small plate– one of each cookie– and walked over towards one of the other students, where she smelled burning. "Hey– practice makes perfect, right? You'll get better. Until then– you wanna share some? I could show you how to make some later."
Cuileann was not entirely comfortable cooking let alone baking, she preferred reading about a subject then actually particiapting in it. Tried she did, mixing all the ingredients that was on the table in front of her. Reading the measurements she put them in quickly maybe to quickly then again everyone was moving at different speeds she was not sure what she was to do.
When the cookies were finished she was surprised by the flavor, the looked done not burnt but they smelled like Peanut Butter. She had a recipe for Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip so she was confused, stood there with her hand on her face trying to process what she did wrong.
I was a little late entering, so if that disqualifies this post I understand!
Jaden was so super focused on getting the mixture right this time. He was sure that they would turn out perfect! The flavor might still be a little dull to Litch tastes, so perhaps he could put something on top of the cookies after they were done baking?
He spent so long going through the different ingredients and trying to figure out what might work best that he didn't realize how long it had been. It wasn't until another student commented they smelled something burning that Jaden whipped around and raced for the over. But too late. His perfect cookies were well and truly charred. Well, he'd certainly be able to taste them now...
Today in baking class, Popple decided she was going to try making bread pudding... but not just any bread pudding. A french toast bread pudding! She got all her stuff together to start and got crackin'!
Popple managed to spill extra sugar in it, but even though it was sweeter than it should have been, she was still pretty happy with the turn out! And her little siblings wouldn't mind the extra sugar in it, either.

Arinas had decided to do a creamsicle cheesecake. He had started off following the recipe but when he checked the flavor he couldn't taste the flavor at all due to his litch blood. Ah well it wasn't as if he didn't already know how to follow a recipe to make something and he started to get creative. He started adding ingredients so that even he could taste it.
Only he got distracted or too whimsical he supposed and what should have been a simple deviation of ingredients and him ending up with a sort of mouse... whipped pudding thing. Yeah he wasn't sure what to call this mess but on the bright side it wasn't graded and he could finally taste the orange cream flavor, although for some odd reason instead of creamsicle it kind of tasted like guava.

1-20 You found a recipe, but you diverged so much from the science of baking that your dessert didn't even resemble what you were trying to make. Good thing this isn't for grades ...
21-30 You had a mishap with the beaters, putting the setting up too high and the contents of your bowl were sent flying. Luckily there are enough ingredients left over to start again.
31-40 You burned the bottom of your dessert. Somehow. Some ... way ... you can eat around it, though!
40-50 You accidentally set your oven to the broil setting by mistake! Eek! The top looks golden brown, sure, but the inside is so underdone it's a little embarrassing ...
51-60 Your dessert came out perfectly!
61-70 The creative twist you decided to do didn't pan out ... so you try again with a different approach and it comes out beautifully!
71-80 You used a little too much sugar in your dessert, so it's a little bit too sweet ... but it's not inedible!
81-90 Meh. It's alright. Could be better.
91+ Absolutely amazing! You went above and beyond and really let your freak flag fly! Have you considered baking on a professional level?
61-70 The creative twist you decided to do didn't pan out ... so you try again with a different approach and it comes out beautifully!
Cyril was a bundle of excitement and nerves. He was excited to learn about cooking in general, and baking tended to be sweet things. He tried to keep his glowing to a minimum so he wouldn't distract any of the others in the class. Getting to choose his own recipe threw him for a bit of a loop, but he looked around and found one he wanted to try out. It was gonna be a chocolate, cream and salted caramel tart.
His first attempt didn't turn out as well as he had hoped, so he tried again. Food, at least, was one of the things he loved, so he was going to try his best in this class. Turns out, the second time was the charm, as his second attempt turned out wonderfully. He was so pleased he even offered some to a few of the other students who were still around.
[[I wasn't sure if this had been rolled over or not, so I hope the activity was fine for me to do here.]]

This was never a class that Lilo had expected to take. It wasn't that they were bad at baking--they just had never really tried baking. As such, there really wasn't anything in particular that they had been trying to bake or even anything they wanted to learn in general. Not much thought went into the recipe that Lilo chose, it was a simple look up online and click the first thing that popped up thing. A toffee cake didn't sound too bad, though.
Following the recipe was easy enough, the Baphomet tasted it along the way and added things that could possibly improve the taste of the cake. In the end, it came out beautifully and Lilo was actually quite impressed with it.
