Lorek wasn't as sure about the festival as his big brother was, however, Kiessi was determined to show him a good time so it couldn't be all that bad, could it? The two of them managed to find a plushie booth where Kiessi had managed to win them both one! They even matched, so Lorek could always look at it and remind himself o his brother.

Hexen stared down at the ring in her hands. It matched her skin pretty closely, and she figured it'd look nice against Bayde's deep purple markings. But, was giving a ring to some guy she had just met really a good idea? Maybe a book would have been better. Wait, did Bayde read?
Either way, it was too late now. The ring had been purchased. Either the demon would give the imp the completely wrong impression OR he wouldn't give a damn and would wear it proudly.
Festivals really weren't Bayde's thing -- too many people... but sometimes it was fun to intimidate them. However, that got boring rather quickly when most reactions were to awkwardly shuffle away rather than giving any real satisfaction. Oh well, he thought, searching the crowed for a familiar demon.
And eventually he caught their hair.
"Yo, Hex," he called, barely over talking level but still recognizable and noticeable.

Eve was hiding, not that she really needed to given that she nearly blended in the color scheme but it had been her curiosity that had lead her to this event and now her shyness was making her wish she hadn’t come. Still the fact her little fluffbug and flitterrat came with her made her feel better. Her little fluffbug was riding comfortably on her shoulder while squeakers was hiding in her sweater half asleep. Squeaking by a selection of books Eve promised herself she was going to come back to that latter, though right now it just had a few too many nighmares around it and she could just see herself bumping into others with her wings. A stuffed plush caught her eye and she wondered why this stand wasn’t as crowed as the others. Picking up the plush she looked it over. It looked in great condition and while it was cute Eve couldn’t help but think of the loud but nice chimera Verve when she held it. Smiling just a bit herself she decided it might make a nice gift.

Arden tilted his head to the side, licking his lips. Oh. Awkward. Usually it was just uh, a casual conversation starter but maybe had not read the situation completely. Maybe some were more comfortable flying solo than he was. "Oh, uh. No, don't worry about it," he laughed dryly, dragging a blunt claw over his cheek. His bright eyes darted to the side before he looked back to the other Chimera, looking more sheepish than ever now. "Sorry, the name is Arden. I don't think we've met before," he tried to explain the situation away. "Hard to miss other chimera around here."
With her new Vespercat plushie in tow she decided to leave the games for a little later. As she weaved her way in and out of the crowds of people, Nef started to feel a little lonely. It was weird, really. There were so many people in the room with her, but she just felt a little homesick. The feeling didn't last long because before she could even blink there was someone in her face. To say she hadn't been startled would be a lie. Instinctively she puffed up, her fur standing on end.
As he continued to talk, she calmed down, listening intently to what he was saying to her. A wide smile grew across her face as he handed her the bracelet, of course she wanted it! "Hi, Freddy! My name's Nefertiti! Um, back home my friends called me Nef, though!" She slowly began to circle Freddy, taking the new race's appearance in. "I've never seen anyone like you either! Look! There's little things on your arms and legs that are see throughy! That's so coooool!" She stared in awe at the Geist in front of her, tail contently flicking back and forth. "Can I really have this? I really, really, really want it!" Without really giving him a chance to say anything she grabbed it out of his hand and immediately put it on.
She was minutely distracted by some smell. Whatever it was, it was definitely something that smelled...really good and she knew that she just had to find it. That's when she noticed the cutely wrapped bags sitting on the table dead in front of her. Her ears, slightly perked up and her forked tail waving in excitement. "Hang on, Freddy, I need to get whatever that is!" She slinked over to the table, making herself as tall as she could, she snatched the bag of brownies and went back over to new weird new friend. "I don't know what this is, but it smells really good. Can I eat this? Do you want to share with me? Eat some of this with me, Freddy!" She gleamed as she took the little bow off the bag, offering some of the contents to him.

Hex couldn't help but to jump as she heard someone call her name. It had startled her a little, but she quickly relaxed when she realized that there was one person besides teachers who even knew her name.
"Ah! Bayde ... " The demoness turned to face the taller nightmare and gave a bit of an impish smile as she suddenly clamped her hands over the minty-green ring right. "Aaahm ... what. What are you. What are you doing here? This doesn't look like your usual schtick." It wasn't really Hexen's either, and being out in such a large crowd was starting to give her the heebiejeebies.
Even if his friends were at this jubilee, he was starting to think that he would never be able to find them. The immense crowds and all the noise was really starting to get to him. He slowly made his way past some more booths, starting to feel really dizzy from the anxiety. Not really paying attention he bumped in to one of the plushie booths, knocking one of them to the floor. Petrified with embarrassment the Fallen gently picked the nezubat plushie up, it was really cute...
"I-I-I'm really very sorry about that, how much for this one? I'd like to get it, please." It was a combination of guilt and that the plushie was adorable that he asked to purchase it. He pulled some neatly folded money out of his pocket and handed it to the vendor before he walked away.
As he made his way to a secluded table, trying to fight his anxiety, he noticed a familiar face. "Citali! Hey! Over here!" He didn't know if she heard him so he walked over to her. At least there was someone he knew here.
Topaz nodded and opened up the bag, snagging a candy for herself and offering the open back to Narra for him to grab on.
"There's tons to see, so I'm not surprised," Topaz comment. From all the stories Narra had shared and the few encounters she'd had with Renge herself, she wouldn't have been shocked if Renge had been the first to get in the thick of things out of the three of them. Well who didn't love a festival.
"How about we try a game," Topaz suggest, turning to eye one of the nearest stalls. It was the most curious game, where the person running it hid a small pebble under a shell, then shuffled it along with a bunch of near identical shells in a deceptively simple pattern. Topaz tried her best to follow the motions, but in the end her guess was just that; a guess. Kallistos must have been guiding her, because she ended up guessing right. The booth owner gestured to a neat pile of prizes for Topaz to choose from. Among them were books. One in particular caught her eye. She reached forward and picked it up, then turned to show it to Narra with a grin.
"Think this is accurate?"

Bayde chuckled at Hexen's response, taking a few step closer and nudging the few people between them out of the way. He smirked, his sharp teeth easily showing in his grin.
"I could ask you the same question," he retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. He hadn't noticed the demon hiding something in her hands, so it was completely glazed over as he continued. "Just felt like getting out, I guess. Maybe it was meant to be, since you said we'd have to meet outside of class someday."
Kroll strolled around looking all the amazing things thinking she really ought to pick up something sweet to nibble on. Still when she saw the roses she stopped and started at them for a moment or two before moving closer to really investigate them. They were drop dead gorgeous and rather than think about anyone she would give them to she instantly just wanted one for around her room! Snagging a blue one she twirled it in her fingers thrilled thinking how to make it a centerpiece of the next party.

Cassie fluttered through the crowded aisles, Malikah bundled up tightly in her arms. Her son was getting a little big, but (against advice), she enjoyed cuddling her child like so so she happily balanced the young Freshling on her hip. Malikah was enjoying it at least, laughing as his mother purposely took the corners sharp so that he swayed in her arms. It was a lot easier than trying to lead the child through the crowd, that was sure.
Cassie loved the Jubilee, most likely because now in hindsight it meant something to her. Early in their courtship she had met Smolder here, and well, anything pink was sort of up her alley. She made a small sound as she caught a flash of orange in the crowd, and she barreled through more than one Academy student to get to Aten. She curled her hand into the fur of his arm, straining to hold Malikah now that she was down an arm. "Aten," she beamed, taking a step closer into his personal space so they weren't completely clogging up the aisle. "I don't remember any of the other Jubilees being this hectic," she informed with a sigh, setting Malikah down at their feet.
Their sun smile wide, more than happily winding himself around Aten's leg. "I got a plush~" Malikah informed happily, showcasing his prize for his father eagerly.

Nylea bounced happily as someone finally responded to her with something more then just a wave. "You won that? Thats so cool! and it's so CUTE!" she reached and petted the toy bug. It was soft, now she wanted to earn one. Tucking her own stuffie under her arm she nods "Yeah lets play, I wanna win too!" she looked around unsure what game to play "What game?" her voice was full of excitement.
Arivan traded with Cybelle and then dropped down to the floor beside the boy, "I'm Arivan" they told him around a mouthful of brownie, "Mmmm good... Where you get these nummies?" Ari looked around the room while just sitting and munching. They looked back to Cybelle and smiled.

"Hmmph ... " was Hexen's only response at the imp's comments. It was true, this wasn't her usual scene. Her 'usual scene' was her dorm room littered with writing utensils and books. It was crowded with objects. Not people. She preferred it that way. But maybe it was fate that had brought her down here to the Hunter's Jubilee after all these years of never stepping foot in to a festival.
"I got you something." the demon said bluntly as she lifted her hands, holding them up to the boy's face before opening her hands to reveal the ring with the little heart cut-outs all around its band. Hexen was looking away bashfully, but her bashfulness came across as more uncomfortable and kinda bothered looking than anything else.
"Hopefully it fits." She had managed to dodge his implications on their meeting outside the classroom. At least for now ...
Aten lowered his gaze as he could hear Cassie's familiar voice, but not before feeling her hand tuck in to his fur. He gave a warm smile, but before he could even afford her a response Raa was at their feet, holding up a plushie for Malikah to take, the boy looking a bit bashful. Aten had his own plushie he had won, and a book, to give to Cassie, but he decided to wait until the children had their moment together before giving his girlfriend her presents.
"Here, Mal ... " Raa spoke softly, nudging the vespercat plush gently towards his brother. "This is for you ... "
"How nice of you to give your prize to your brother," Aten reinforced Raa's good behaviour, but his heart sank a little as Smolder and Rhys came barreling in to view.
"MOM, MOM MOM MOOOM MOM MOM! MOMMOMMOMMUM. MUMMA. MUUUUUUUUUMMY!" The little hybrid was shouting excitedly and flapping his arms, holding something pinched between two fingers as he hopped right between Mali and Raa's space, Raa wincing back, afraid of Rhys' rather sharp claws and getting the new plushie as scratched up as he did his last one.
"I won you something!" the fallen-litch crowed excitedly as he shoved the pink ring at her.
Smolder gave a heavy, defeated sigh as he slumped in next to his family. He was worn out. And his ego was hurt. Everyone was giving things to Cassie, yet he hadn't managed to win a single thing yet! What a downer.
But the 'downer' of losing so many games was about to get a lot worse.
"Smolder." Aten said abruptly with a sharp tone to his voice he never usually had. "Where's Anubis. You were supposed to be looking after him and Rhys together. Why is he not with you?"
Smolder winced, not sure of how to answer. "Uuuuh .... "
