It seems Sirius is feeling generous. That, or he doesn't want to explain to Ava why his students are failing. He handed back the quiz, nodding towards it with a deadpan expression.
"Try again. You failed." Wow. He really was too blunt with the students....

Lestari wrinkled her nose when her quiz was handed back along with a failing grade. Right. Noooot as good as she thought. Maybe she should actually learn something. At least he was giving her a second chance, which was awesome. "Thanks," she murmured, a flush creeping up her neck.
With the new quiz she took much longer with the questions, racking her brain for the answers.
Prompt Answer: Being that medicine was her intended career, Xochi was well versed in magical creatures. Some were used in trial runs of drugs, and also some needed their own drugs for health. So the questions were easy, and she passed with little difficulty. Smiling, she nodded to the teacher in thanks.
Prompt Answer: Capture... a wild familiar. That sounded like it would rough and Kuchena was definitely not about that kind of effort. She knew that she would have to think if she wanted to succeed... though maybe not! Maybe a good grade was right outside the front door... literally. Grabbing her bag, she quickly went off to scour the area.
The litch grinned as she presented a flitterrat to Sirius. "I knew that bringing a snack today would be a good idea." As the critter sat in her palm, nibbling at the carrot, Kuchena felt some pride. She was quite lucky that she knew where a nest of flitterrats was on the campus grounds, though they might be removed if anyone else found out about them, oops.
Prompt Answer: Why, oh why did she have to choose a wisp to try and capture? This wasn't exactly the best idea Abel had ever had, and in truth, Abel would have much rather been spending time with her girl scooping out the other ladies. But, Abel had to focus on her studies. She couldn't really be with her demoness until she was of age, and so, for now, she had goals and her education to focus on.
The wisp was nearly impossible to catch. There were many times where Abel thought she was actually going to cry over the whole thing. It made her sick to her stomach, and just when she had been about to give up all hope, a Wisp fell right in to her trap.
"Eeeeee~!!" Abel was so pleased with herself! It was time to take the wisp back to her teacher so she could get graded, and hopefully it wasn't too late to hand in the assignment still!
Alyssum was a little disappointed that the subject was birds, but to be fair the only animals that interested her right now were salamanders. Still, she loved being outside and she liked Sirius as a teacher cause he didn't ask her to talk. She found a likely looking spot and settled down, turning her focus on the trees in front of her and focusing on being as still and quiet as possible so she didn't scare away the birds. She saw a bunch of different kinds in all sorts of colors, mostly browns and blacks with bits of yellow, blue, or red. She thought she even saw a cockatriel, but it was the same color as blue jays so she wasn't completely sure and, knowing what she did about cockatriels, she didn't get close to find out.
Prompt Answer: This was far out of Esrael's comfort zone. He didn't have any familiars of his own but now he had to roam around outside and actually catch one. The familiar couldn't just follow him home, he had to find one and capture it. The fallen wandered around, eyes searching everywhere. Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement. Slowly and very quietly Rae tried to sneak up on the cockatriel. It was so nerve wracking because he knew that one wrong move and the familiar could potentially scratch or bite him. Then it happened, he managed to trip over the root of a tree and came loudly crashing down.
Prompt Answer: Janine had a soft spot for creatures great and small, some might say that she was a bit of a hoarder. But even if she was a hoarder, she knew her fair share about the critters. She thought she had to worry about the exam, but it was a bit of a cake walk. She handed back the exam with a grin.

Prompt Answer: Lior liked familiars. He liked them a lot. But he was not entirely sure this assignment would go well for him at all.
Still, he wanted to try! Once they were brought out to the area they were supposed to acquire said wild familiar, he paused to listen- surely one of them would be moving around... Off to his right, he heard something walking - four legs... aha! He followed after the animal slowly, though as soon as it started running he jogged after it......
After much tumbling, crashing into objects, and almost dying at least three times - he managed to get his hands on the spectrefox. Little did he know said spectrefox was the one Siren had "given" him but... surely it counted? He trudged back to Sirius, all smiles, hands still on the spectrefox.
Prompt Answer: Aloe hit her head down, clearly she should have studied more for this quiz. She looked up at the teacher and raised her hand to ask if she could retake the test or take another test.
Prompt Answer: Well...looks like the teacher was going to give him another chance. Part of him just wanted to accept the failing grade so he could go back to his dorm in peace. Alas, Esrael was not the type to just accept a failing grade. He kept his head held high as he ventured back out, scanning the grounds for any kind of movement. His gaze locked on a small skyfish, much less intimidating than the cockatriel. He reached into his pocket and grabbed a few treats, speaking softly to the familiar, trying to coax it closer to him. After a few minutes the wary skyfish seemed a little more interested in him and his treats and decided to come closer. It circled him a few times before taking some of the treats. Yes! He had done it! He had actually caught a familiar! He spoke to it, asking it if it would mind following him back so he could show the teacher.

Prompt Answer: A quiz... well, thankfully he'd been studying. Once they were given the go ahead, Shaxio began dutifully filling his quiz out, pleased that he knew most of the answers without much trouble... Once he was done, he signed and dated it, then stood to pass it in to Sirius.
