xxxxx Lenore grew up in Orre alone. She had no family or friends. The local townskids would ridicule her as children do, and while the adults would give her some food to get by, they would do nothing else. After a while of the torment by the other children and the inaction by adults, Lenore realized that the world was not a cheerful and happy place like the storybooks said. It was dark and cruel. So she thought to herself, 'To thrive in the ocean, you become water.' And with that, she stopped being happy. She stopped having hope things would get better. She stopped caring about how other people saw her, and she was at peace.
xxxxxA traveling girl taught her to read, and she took solace in the alternate world. Through books, she learned more than most people. She loved the characters and the stories in the fiction, and the information fascinated her in the non-fiction. Even if she was truly alone, her books kept her company.
xxxxxOne day, a duskull appeared before her. He proposed a deal - were she to give up her soul, he would grant her anything. She requested that he be her friend, and the pact was made. Soon after, the townspeople sought to destroy Lenore and Mephistopheles. After a brief altercation, they stowed away on a ship, not caring where they went.
xxxxxThey arrived in Zatao, and took full advantage of the fact no one knew them. They set up a spot on the outskirts of Katarina City, keeping to themselves while occasionally stealing the bare amount of food needed to survive. Since then, Lenore earned a position at the Motterossa Gym, and attended a cruise to a crazed bidoof island.

Personality: Lenore is fond of occasionally getting lost in thought and giving voice to abstract ideas about man, the universe, and other things that thoroughly confuse people. She's very deadpan, and it's actually rarer that she'll sound sincere.
It's rare that Lenore will hate anyone, but it's just as rare that she'll like someone, too. She's very passive about others, and it takes something special for her to acknowledge someone as a 'friend'. She considers Mephistopheles her closest friend, and would do anything for him.
Lenore's sense of humor can be fairly dark. She enjoys sarcasm and snarkiness, and doesn't really hold back when insulting people, another favored past time. Her favorite colors are black and purple. Her favorite pokemon-types are dark, ghost, and psychic.
Lenore will sometimes compare a situation to a plot in a book, sometimes going as far as to relentlessly mock the situation as 'cliche and overdone'.
Personal Appearance: Lenore has short ebon hair, and dark red eyes. She wears a purple shirt underneath an oversized black sweater, whose sleeves are far longer than her arms. She wears black shorts that go past her knees, and long purple and black socks accompanied by slip on black shoes.
Interests: Reading, being with her friends, pondering abstract things, being snarky
