Roll an Eight: City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Mephistopheles floated down to the cracked street as Lenore covered her nose with a long sleeve. The duskull scanned the area for his opponent.

Ed ignored the smell of the stadium as he took his spot in the trainer box. He hadn't had Link long, and he wanted to get a better feel for the dog before he started using him in the field. This stadium field was excellent as far as Ed was concerned. A sweep of his arm sent the Poochyenna bounding into the arena, the chain on his paw clinking and scraping against the asphalt.

Mephistopheles noted the presence of the other pokemon, and bowed. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto if you so choose. I am your opponent for this match. I will cede the first move to you. Good luck."

Up in the trainer's box, Lenore peeked over her sleeve, noting the chain on the poochyena's paw. "Well, isn't he just chained by fashion."

Link didn't waste time with banter, choosing instead to launch a swift Shadow Ball.

In the trainer box, Ed frowned a bit. Link hadn't waited for instruction, or even really seemed to be listening for orders.

The shadow ball collided with the duskull's torso, but he brushed it off. He raised his arms, and shadowy tendrils rose up before him.

The shadow ball struck Mephistopheles in the chest, the tendrils doing little to slow it's attack. The duskull launched an orb of shadows of hos own.
