Roll an Eight: City Streets Field: Broken tar and faded yellow lines make up the “street” that runs down the exact center of the battle field. On either side of the road are sidewalks with pieces of concrete here and there. Fake building walls, complete with broken glass windows and grime lining the surface, limit the amount of maneuverable space on land. Trash cans and trash bags decorate the street. A sewer grate nearby continually pours a stream of fog into the air which, unfortunately, helps spread the horrible stench of the trash. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to POISON type attacks.

Lenore walked into the stadium, her sleeve covering her nose. With her free hand, she sent out Sheoldred, and the metapod glared around, looking for her opponent.

The pair with matching burn scars entered the stadium for the first time together.
Locke gagged when as the foul air accosted his face. He covered his nose and mouth with one hand, "****, I thought this place was like an official facility thing," he swore. "Why don't they clean it up a little? ****..."
Shuca padded at Locke's side. He wrinkled his nose but was otherwise unfazed by his surroundings. He was nervous and a bit excited; this was going to be his very first battle, and he was anxious to learn.
"What are we supposed to do now...?" Locke wondered. He stared across the field and spotted their opponent. "I guess you go down there, Shuca," he said.
Shuca rubbed against Locke's leg before leaping down to his place on the field.

"What are we waiting for?" Locke said. "Go kill the bug thing, Shuca."
Shuca looked over his shoulder nervously at Locke. What was he supposed to do? He'd never attacked anyone before.
"Go on! Use like an... ice attack or something... you can do that now, right?"
Shuca closed his eyes. He had evolved recently, and knew that he had some new abilities. He only had to find it... Yes, there! There was something very cold inside him. He summoned the freezing energy from within, opened his eyes, and an ice beam fired from his mouth.
"Holy ****!" Locke exclaimed.

The blood shoved Sheoldred out of the way of the ice beam, and the metapod sent electrified webbing at the vaporeon.

Shuca dodged the web, watching the way it sparked with suspicion. He didn't want that touching him!
"Do the laser thing again!" Locke suggested.
Shuca skirted a trash can and released another beam of cold light.

No; the electrified webbing was not pleasant at all! Shuca gave a yip of pain as the web tangled in his fur. He managed to shake it off, but not before he was zapped. He whirled and fired another ice beam at the metapod.

A stream of water shot out of Shuca's mouth.
"Where is that coming from...?" Locke wondered, and immediately decided that he didn't actually want to know.
