Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Lenore walked into the stadium, the hair on the back of her neck at end. To her side, Mephistopheles floated down to the arena below, floating silently as he awaited his opponent.

Zinnia walked in with Zyk perched on her shoulder. The field was going to put them at a disadvantage, but she felt that Zyk was up to the task. "You ready?" she asked the small bat.

"Zu..." Zyk squeaked, launching himself off of her shoulder and hovering in his place on the field. For Zinnia, he had to win.

Mephistopheles bowed before the zubat as electricity crackled along his arm. "Greetings. May we have a good battle." The electricity was absorbed into him.

"Haze," Zinnia commanded.

Zyk summoned up a cloud of thick black mist to clear away the stat change. It looked like he would be up against electric attacks... He braced himself grimly.

As the mist covered the field, Mephistopheles felt the charge short out. His eye glowed eerily as he stared into the mist.

"Shadow Ball!" Zinnia commanded.

The zubat opened his mouth wide, and a ball of dark energy formed in front of it. It bulged grotesquely until Zyk released it; it zoomed toward Mephistopheles.

Mephistopheles was struck by the shadow ball, and he was knocked back slightly. Electricity crackled along his arm as he sent it racing towards Zyk.

"Confuse Ray," Zinnia said.

Zyk staggered from the strong electrical attack, but he quickly regained his altitude. He hovered, carefully taking aim by emitting several supersonic chirps. Then he released another orb, this one flashing different bright colors. It flew in a zigzag pattern toward Mephisto and began whirling around his head.
