Memorable Snarkings Text in Indigo is mine. Other's posts shall be plain black. Shina and Lenore, in the S.S. Extrasensory Cruise ORP "Okay, Lenore. Lay back in the water, I'll support you. Make your body flat as a board, keeping your hips up and shoulders back," Shina instructed, moving to support Lenore's head and back so she could practice floating. Lenore looked up at the gym leader, and commented dryly, "I don't know if you're aware, but I'm twelve - I am flat as a board." Regardless, she did as she was told. As she did so, she continued watching the small purple pokemon jump from chair to chair. ---------------- "Well, the freestyle is usually the first stroke taught, but I've always thought that was rather silly, as it is terrible for keeping your head out of the water. I prefer to teach the breast stroke first." Shina turned in the shallow water so that she was sitting facing the same direction as Lenore was, rather than next to the other girl to support her. "You start with your palms together, close to your chest. Push out, and when your arms are almost straight, rotate your hands so the backs face each other instead, and sweep your arms out to the sides. Keep your palms cupped to pull against the water, fingers together. When your arms have reached level with your shoulder, draw them in towards your body and return them to the start position." Shina demonstrated the arm motions of the stroke several times. Lenore watched the display with a bored face. "That looks ridiculous." Nevertheless, she did as she was told. "Yes actually, it does," Shina said in a matter of fact tone. "However, it is quite effective in preventing drowning, and has the benefit of letting you keep your head above water and see where you are going, which the other two most popular strokes, the front crawl and backstroke, cannot claim. Now lean forward and stretch your legs out behind you. I'll support you while you practice the stroke laying down," Shina said, moving so she would be next to Lenore's thigh, able to wrap one arm around her hips to keep the girl in place, and use her other arm to support her enough to almost stay afloat, forearm across her stomach and hand supporting the bottom of her ribcage. Lenore felt Shina's hand on her chest, and turned toward her, giving her a serious expression while still managing to look bored. "***** is a crime, you know."
Lenore made a mental note to be wary of Shina from now on as she continued to look ridiculous doing what the gym leader said. "My hand is well below anything inappropriate," Shina said calmly. Seeing that Lenore seemed to have the arm movements down, Shina let her go. "If you would like to learn the leg movements that go with that stroke, please join me in the other pool," Shina said, getting up from the kiddie pool and heading over to Lyle in the shallow end of the adult pool. "Hello Lyle. You have a very effective doggy paddle there. Do you know any other strokes?" Hearing the other youngster call to her, Shina glanced over. "Sure! Hop in the pool, it's pretty shallow here and you can hold the wall if you need to." "Flat as a board, remember? You'd have no way to know." Lenore called after the retreating gym leader. She got out of the pool and left to visit Mephistopheles, fully bored of this "fun" activity. Bidoof Temple "A hidden tomb on an island. Not cliche at all."-------- Mephistopheles floated back to Lenore's side, and the girl walked to another room. "Now, assuming it follows the stereotypical 'lost temple' pattern, this room is a trap. If I'm wrong, we live. If I'm right.... Well, I'm right. Either way, I win. Let's go!" She stepped inside the doorway.
A bidoof lunged from the shadows at Lenore as she entered, but Mephistopheles immediately slapped it away. "Trap. I was right."-------- "Okay everyone. If we stay here, more Bidoof will probably attack. Let's keep moving and try to find a way out," Shina said, heading for another door. Shina just sighed when more Bidoof boiled out of holes in the walls. "Of course, moving is no guarantee we won't run into more Bidoof, either." Lenore pocketed the pokeball containing the bidoof before turning to Shina with a bored-amused look on her face. "You were saying?"

Personality: Like Lenore, Elesh Norn is quite sarcastic, and loves to point out the stupidity of others. Elesh Norn is unable to speak due to the contract she entered into. Despite this, she still manages to get her point across through gestures. In battle, she tends to play around, treating combat like a game. She often helps Lenore out with snarking about things that annoy them, such as doing something else while waiting for a battle to proceed.
