Mephistopheles vs Zue! [FIN]

Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Lenore walked into the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. As Lenore amused herself with her breath, Mephistopheles set a small fire before floating down to the icy field.

Zak shivered when he walked into the icy arena. It was always the ice stage wasn't it. Zue didn't do so well with ice, being a flying type, however before going into this battle he had decided he was going to use Zue. It had been a while since he battled with his companion. He gave a small wave towards his opponent, taking the opposite side of the arena. Tossing the pokeball which contained his friend he released him upon the stage. "Alright Zue lets do this." he spoke as the pokemon materialized from the ball.

When the bat was called out of his ball he sent a supersonic wave through the stadium getting a glimpse at what he had to work with. From the temperature he knew which stage they were at, this icy stage had always been a problem for him.

"Confuse Ray Zue!" his trainer's voice cut through the pokemon's thoughts. At the command the bat sent a ray of confusion throughout the entire stadium.

Mephistopheles felt his balance leave him. He bowed unsteadily. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto. I shall be your opponent for this match. Good luck."

His eye began to glow as he looked up at the Golbat.

"Zue" the bat replied, even though a battle was no place for pleasantries he thought it would be polite to give his own name since his opponent gave its.

"Zue lets bite it."

The bat swooped down at his located target aiming to dig his teeth into him.

Mephistopheles phased out of the bite,firing a blast of ice as he floated unsteadily back.

The bat dodged the icy attack the ghost pokemon had fired at him. He zig-zagged back and forth making him a harder target to hit.

"Screech" Zak knew that both Dark and ghost types attacks would work well against the ghost pokemon. However doing the same attack over and over was boring to both him and Zue. Lowering defense would also be a good strategy.

A high pitch screech was emitted from the bat pokemon.
