Roll a Seven: Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks.This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Lenore walked into the forested area, Mephistopheles at her side. The duskull's eye scanned for the bidoof they had come to defeat in order to progress onto battling Shina. Mephistopheles floated forward, continuing to search for his opponent.

Lyle trotted out onto the field, with Spinel riding on his cap and Sentry following behind. But Lyle was just there to lead his pokemon to the battlefield; the Bidoof would make her own choices. The trainer stopped by the edge of the field and said, "Go on, Sentry. You're gonna be fighting Lenore's pokemon today. It's one of the Gym challenges we talked about."
"Doof," she answered, and marched into the forest to look for her opponent.

Mephistopheles bowed before the bidoof. "Let us begin." The duskull's eye began to glow, and a tree branch overhead snapped and fell towards Sentry.

"Very well," she answered, but she'd barely finished speaking before she was hit in the head with a branch.
She tossed the branch aside, somewhat annoyed that she hadn't seen that attack coming. To retaliate, she spat out a glob of thick purple toxin at the ghost.

Sentry was annoyed when the branch smacked her again. What kind of was to fight was that? She spat another glob of poison, hoping this one would hit.

Mephistopheles failed to dodge the poison, and it began to corrode through his cloak. Regardless, he continued his assault with the branch.

Sentry was quite satisfied to see the poison hit. But then she got smacked by that branch again. Grumbling to herself, she tried to scurry out of its way while throwing a shadowy orb at the ghost.

That branch was really starting to annoy her. She swiped at it with one paw in a futile attempt to get it away from her face, then decided to try and get rid of it at the source. Turning to her opponent, she opened her mouth to fire off a beam of chilling energy.

Mephistopheles quickly moved the branch to intercept the ice, and it was frozen solid. He sent the ice covered branch back at the bidoof.

Sentry had seen enough of this branch's "movements" to have an idea how it might come at her next. So she was able to dock it's next swing, and came up firing off another Ice Beam.
