Roll an Eleven: Canyon Field: The canyon walls towers high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces are very damp which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff and allow smaller, nimbler pokemon to grab and swing around. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Keeping up is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING and ROCK type attacks.

Mephistopheles descended to the bottom of the canyon, checking out the pool of water. He had never actually been there before, always fighting above the canyon.
Meanwhile, Lenore pondered how deep the canyon actually went.

Essa looked at the deep pool of water and hoped Nerissa wouldnt go on a journey to see how far it went in the middle of a battle, she was already splashing about happily and didnt notice that her opponent was close by

Essa stared at the duskull, this was going to be a tough battle, 3/4 of the moves magikarps can learn are normal, and dont have any stat changes or anything like that either. She was going to have to rely on the only move that could hurt it; "Nerissa, use bounce! Paralyse that ghost"
Nerissa began by jumping on the water it self and finally jumping high enough, trying to aim for the duskull

((Actually, in Extrasensory, Splash is a water type move that deals damage akin to Hydro Pump. I know! xD))
Mephistopheles was knocked into the canyon wall, and his body went limp from the impact. Unsteadily, he tried empowering himself with electricity.

(IT IS?! omg you're right, i should stop skim reading things, seriously!!!)
That paralysis didnt look like it would last long, so to stay on the save side, she would get nerissa to do it again "Bounce"
Again, nerissa did the same buncing on the water thing first, though she could just as easily just do one bounce

Mephistopheles was slammed much harder into the wall, and it collapsed around him. He tried to move his body enough to power up.

"Well done Nerissa, now on with attack" Flying attacks would have a good advantage in this stadium, and eventhough Essa didnt like rely on a single attack for too long, it seemed to be the best choice
Nerissa didnt seem to mind as she contiuned to do her little bouncing ritual making Essa wonder if it was programmed into the poor magikarp brain

The rocks covering Mephistopheles were slammed into, causing no small amount of pain for the duskull. He tried to get a flow of electricity going.

Essa was quite afraid that the ghost knew electrical moves since she was fighting with a water, and was equally glad that she had something that could keep him paralysed

Again, the rocky prison shook from the attack, and Mephistopheles felt tremors riveting his body. He didn't yet have enough strength to phase out, however, so instead he tried sending a burst of electricity at the magikarp.

Essa saw the duskull trying to go for a electrical attack, but itself was stopped by paralysis, a feeling of relief that Essa is never going to get used to.
