Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Lenore gazed over the all-too familiar field as Mephistopheles floated down to hover above the sand. "I hope that the place we're going to isn't this bland."

Jem leaned over the railing of the trainer box, a look of glee spread across her face. "Woo! Look at this place! It's almost like a real beach! They even painted storm clouds in the distance!" her face became thoughtful. "Kinda makes me miss home... just kidding, home was never this exciting! Lets get this show on the road! Get your butt out there Taurus!" She called to the ivysaur that was sitting behind her, idly checking his claws.
"Saursaur ivee." he replied with a self assured air and walked leisurely onto the battlefield.
"Hey! Good luck!" she yelled to her opponent.

Mephistopheles noted the presence of his opponent, bowing. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto. I shall be your opponent today. Good luck."

The duskull raised his arms, and a frigid wind blew forward at the ivysaur.

The ivysaur gave him a bro nod. "Sup. The name's Taurus, but you can- ugh!" he started before getting hit with the frigid attack. He winced at the frost on his leaves but turned his attention back to Mephisto. "As I was saying, you can call me 'awesome'." Taurus grinned and let loose a Razor Leaf attack.
"Woo! Yeah! Go Taurus! You work them leaves boy!" Jem yelled obnoxiously from the sidelines.

Leaves sliced through the duskull's coat, but he ignored it. He sent a fresh gust of icy air.

"Guh, I hate the cold." Taurus mumbled as he avoided the ice attack. "How about you take a nap!" he growled and set out some Sleep Powder.
"Boo! Sleep is lame!"
"Who's side are you on woman?!"

Mephistopheles evaded the powder with a short "I'd really rather not." His eye glowed at the powder.

Taurus snorted. "You'll be in dream land pretty soon if I've got anything to say about it." the ivysaur sent another blast of Sleep Powder at the duskull.
"Come ooooon! Do something exciting, like Razor Leaf again! Standing around avoiding dust is boring!" whined the five year old young woman.

The dust hit Mephistopheles, and his consciousness faded. However, instinct took over, and spectral energy burst forward from the duskull.

"Ugh, that was useless." Taurus grumbled and winced at the sound. "God, you're worse than Jem! How is that even possible?!" he charged toward Mephisto and aimed a Knock Off at his head to try and stifle the noise.
Jem sneezed. "Hm, must be the salty air."

Mephistopheles was knocked into the sand below, padding his landing. Spectral energy burst forward again.

"You are such a spoilsport Taur! Give me action!" came more complaints from the peanut gallery.
