Rolled a One: Ice field : The temperature of the stadium suddenly drops several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifts for the upcoming battle. The floor turns into extremely slick ice which makes maneuverability, even simply standing, difficult. Randomly placed crystal-like pillars reach skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ICE type attacks

Lenore walked into the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side as always. The duskull lit a small fire next to the girl to keep her warm.

Angie went into the stadium shivering. She didn't have a great fondness for cold weather, and wasn't exactly pleased with the stage that was set for her first battle in awhile. It'd be the first battle too for the Pokemon she was planning to use.

Mephistopheles floated down to the icy field below, intent upon starting off the battle. He waited silently for his opponent.

Angie pulled out two Pokeballs as she eyed the Duskull the other trainer was sending out. She decided to send out Elda first, as the Kangaskhan had more experience in fighting than her other Pokemon.

"Go Elda!" She called out, and sent the Kangaskhan onto the field. Elda blinked in the cold, and checked on her child, before glaring at the Duskull in front of her.

Mephistopheles before the Khangaskhan. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, and I am one of your opponents in this match. Good luck." After he finished speaking, he launched a blast of ice at his opponent.

Elda dodged the beam of ice and slid a bit on the frozen ground. "You look familiar," she said as she regained her balance. "Were you on that accursed island?"

Angie sighed in relief when the ice beam didn't hit Elda. "Okay, two can play at that game! Elda, use Ice Beam too!"

Elda opened her mouth and returned fire with an ice beam, as she trusted her new trainer's judgment.

Mephistopheles allowed the beam of ice to pass through him before responding. "Yes, we fought briefly." He launched another ice beam.

Elda pushed off on the ice and slide a short distance to avoid the ice beam once more. "I appreciate your efforts in freeing me, and the annoying rodents from the temple, then," she said with a curt nod. "The battle I had with your group was unpleasant, however."

Angie grimaced at the repeated ice beam attack. As tempting as it was to retaliate in kind, she didn't want to push her luck. "Elda! Change of plans. Use Safeguard!"

Elda took a deep breath, and within moments, her body was surrounded by a glittering, gold veil.

"I understand," Elda replied. She touched her child in her pouch as she watched Mephistopheles cautiously, to reassure herself of her presence. "At least now I have my child with me."

Oh great, the Duskull mimicked that, didn't he? Angie frowned, and decided to try and freeze one more time. "Use Ice beam, while we still can!" She called to Elda. Once again, an ice beam was sent at the Duskull.

Angie whooped with glee at the sight of the frozen Duskull. "Okay now we can do stuff! Elda, use Work-up!"

Elda examined the block of ice Mephistopheles was stuck in with some bemusement before breathing in and flexing her muscles, to prepare herself in dealing more damage.
