Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Hestia raced into the stadium, yards ahead of her 'master'. Pft. No one was her master, she was just with him for the battle experience!
"HESTIA. You little-" But the bright torchic was already on the field, ready for a fight.
"Greetings, I am Hestia of the Blue Diamond clan, here to battle you and become a stronger Torchic!" She chattered at her opponent.

If it were possible for duskulls, Mephistopheles likely would have blinked at the sudden appearance and introduction of the torchic. But as they did not, he merely bowed and gave an introduction of his own.
"Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, of the Dark Soul legion. You may call me Mephisto, if it suits you. I am your opponent, and I also seek to become stronger. I wish you luck in our battle."
He extended his arm as electricity raced upon it, unleashing itself at the torchic.

"Dark Soul legion? Sounds neat - never heard of you guys though!" The Torchic hopped quickly out of the way of the sparks coming from her opponent. Those looked like they'd hurt! Better up her attack real quick, she thought as she sharped her talon with Dark energy.
Clyde's hand met his face. "Ugh, Hestia, you're supposed to wait for my command!" Of course she wouldn't. She was still a wild little thing. But she was his now, and she needed to obey her master!

"Hm yeah, never heard of that either though I can guess what it is," Hesita frowned, something didn't feel right after looking at that glowing eye. She tried to attack, but instead the energy went straight to her talons and her attack raised once more. "What the?" 'Freaky ghost magic I guess.' Couldn't hurt to have some more attack anyway!
Clyde decided to just let her have this one, maybe she'd realize on her own that she would have a hard time winning without him...

Mephistopheles noted that his subliminal suggestion had gone into effect. He raised his arm again, taking aim at the torchic before unleashing a blast of electricity at him.

Hestia let out a squawk as she was zapped. It was a small spark, but the field gave it a boost. She didn't like electric attacks very much. "Taste my flames!" She tried to attack once more, but all that happened was her attack raised again. Hrm!

The Torchic dodged the second spark, and tried to fire back an attack of her own, but still she was only able to raise her attack.

Hestia gave a battle cry, half of it fueled by fustration and unleashed a Night Slash at her foe. Finally, she was done with raising her attack!

The dark energy phased through a wary Mephistopheles, slicing deep into the wall behind him. Huh. Turning back to Hestia, he phased back into the material world before launching a large blast of electric annihilation.
