Ansa vs Mephistopheles: It's Trapping Time! [FIN]

Water field: Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

Doyle walked into the stadium with Ansa hot on his heels. He had taken off her accessories earlier so it would be easier on her in battle. When she saw the field she let out a loud 'DOOF!' and splashed into the water. She was insane. She swam for a bit and then clambered on one of the platforms.

Lenore walked into the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. The duskull floated down to the pool, hovering above the water.

Mephistopheles bowed. "Greetings. We've battled before, but allow me to introduce myself again. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto. Good luck."

Mephistopheles raised his arms, and shadowy tendrils burst from the pools, writhing and twisting like the tentacles of a sea monster.

Ansa chattered happily when she saw the ghost. It was trapping time! Somehow she would find something that would work as a trap for this creature! She decided to start off by making him unable to move and unleashed a good old bolt of lighting.

The lightning raced towards Mephistopheles, but the tendrils intercepted the bolt. Mephistopheles' eye began to glow, and one of the platforms rose up shakily before launching itself at Ansa.

Ansa had no hope of dodging the platform and was knocked into the water. When she surfaced she didn't get out of the water. Instead she swung her tiny tail and created a wave that went towards Mephistopheles.

The water blew past the tendrils, splashing Mephistopheles in the face. His eye continued to glow, however, and the platform rose up for another go.

Ansa's eyes grew wide as the platform flew at her. It landed on top of her making her sink to the bottom. She swiftly swam up to the surface and climbed up onto another platform. If she couldn't get the ghost to stop attacking... well she would be done for. She fired off another Thunder in hopes of making the ghost stop.

Ansa nearly sobbed with joy when she saw the Duskull was paralyzed. She scurried around him sniffing. Now she would be able to attack him with a normal attack.
