Don't be scared, it's a first-timer!  800/800 vs  1050/1050 Lenore gazed lazily over the rolling fields. She turned to the duskull that floated beside her. "Hey, Mef, I don't see anyone you could go beat up to practice for actual battles. Place is even more deserted than Orre." Mephistopheles rolled his eye towards Lenore, motioning forward to where a very shiny eevee was. "Well, there's that. Have fun, then." With that, she opened up her book and stretched out, her attention completely upon the printed words.

Niji was consumed with grooming a spot on his tail. An overripe berry had oozed on it when he was pursuing a more edible berry hidden further inside the bush. Sticky and funny colored, and tastes bad! He chewed the spot for a moment, then resumed licking.

Niji blinked at the strange announcement, then decided to go with it. At least this pokemon wasn't as rude as that one Delibird! Niji started things off with a defense lowering Shadow Ball.

Mephistopheles formed a shadow ball of his own, causing the eevee's to shower into him harmlessly. "Sir, I daresay that a creature such as yourself should not be using such techniques so haphazardly. Why, someone might thing you were trying to offend me!"
As he spoke, his eye glowed lightly.

Looking up, Lenore afforded Mephistopheles a vacant glance. "You done, then, Mef?" She closed her book and stood up, brushing off her shorts. "Let's go, then..."
