Lenore entered the stadium, Mephistopheles by her side. The girl sent out Sheoldred, and blood began to pool beneath the caterpie.

Charlotte looked down at the Pokeball in her hand. "I know we've just met, but let's see what you can do!" She hurled it into the air, releasing Mara with a burst of light. The drifloon carefully floated down to the field, staring nervously at her surroundings.

"Electroweb, Sheoldred." Obeying the order, the caterpie loosed electrified webbing at the drifloon.

Mara drifted out of the way of the caterpie's attack and watched as the webbing flew across the stadium and stuck to the walls. "Huh... I guess you're pretty good, aren't ya?" Charlotte said, pretty impressed by her new Pokemon. "Alright, let's see if you know Gust!"
With a little nod, Mara floated over to Sheoldred and let out a burst of air.

The blood congealed into whip like shapes, and cut through the wind. Sheoldred fired more charged webbing at the driffloon.

Unfortunately, Mara was not quick enough this time - the webbing hit her and stung hard, only made worse by the electric currents in the air.
"Ooof, that hurts... Don't let her get away with that! Gust, again!" Listening to her trainer, Mara regained her composure and blasted air at her opponent.

Mara screeched as the webbing hit her. This Caterpie was tough - and the field certainly didn't help! "I guess I shouldn't fix what isn't broken... Mara, use Gust again!"
Hoping to hit back even harder, the Drifloon blew more wind at her opponent.

This sure isn't Mara's match, Sunnie thought. Ugh, my first fight with her and things just aren't going well... "It's okay, it's okay, Mara! Use Acrobatics!"
Flipping up into the air, Mara came charging down at her opponent, spinning and twirling as she went.

Hit by the webbing again, Mara sunk lower to the ground. A few more hits, and she wouldn't be able to float at all. "We gotta do something about this..." Charlotte thought out loud. "Try stopping her in her tracks! Thunder Wave!"
Harnessing the currents in the air, Mara sent out a wave of air laced with electricity.
