Hulda vs Mephistopheles [FIN]

Rock field: Tremors ripple forth from center-field as the basic floor shifts to a rock and dirt field. Rock towers emerge forth from the ground to offer a place of escape or an advantageous attack position. The breeze from the stadium air conditioners stirs the loose sand on the field, creating a mini sandstorm that reduces visibility. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ROCK type attacks. This field reduces FIRE type attacks by 25 HP.

Alexa walked in with her newest addition. Doyle had given her the young Growlithe saying he didn't know what to do with a fire type and the fact that Ark didn't like her. She gently patted her head and then lightly pushed her to the field.

Hulda looked about the field and could barely make out the rocks. This wasn't due to the mini sandstorm, but from the fact that she was near sighted. She was grateful that her new trainer didn't speak but instead pushed her in the right direction. Noises hurt her ears and she couldn't really understand anything that was said.

Lenore shielded her eyes as she entered the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. The duskull floated down to the field, unfettered by the sand.

He bowed before the growlithe. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, and I am your opponent for this battle. Good luck."

Hulda whined when she caught sight of a dark blob before her. He was just out of her clear line of sight but she could at least tell where her opponent was. Her ears went down when she heard the other pokemon speak. She couldn't really make out what he said, it was too soft and all garbled up to her. Her trainer didn't call out any attacks, not that she would have understood it, but she figured just biting at whatever was in front of her would work. She moved towards the dark shape and tried to bite it.

((Hulda is almost deaf and very near sighted. So yeah.... She won't really be talking to Meph.)

Mephistopheles phased out of the growlithe's vice-like grip. His eye began to glow as he summoned a spectral flame beside the growlithe.

Hulda noticed the odd flame as it was so close to her. She avoided it feeling the heat from it. She then went to lunge at Mephisto but stumbled over a small rock that had been hidden by the small sandstorm. The stumbling did bring her closer to the ghost so she used the momentum to draw her in range of another bite.

Mephistopheles' eye continued to glow as he summoned up another spectral flame.

Hulda just missed the flame by tripping over another rock. It resulted in her slamming into a rock tower. She shook her head to clear it and then turned to find the dark shape. Once she found it she lunged once more to bite it.

The growlithe latched onto the duskull's arm. Mephistopheles sent a wave of electricity down the length of his arm.

Hulda wasn't able to see the wave of electricity until it was just about to hit her. So there was no way for her to dodge it. She only staggered from the hit and then lunged at the shadow to bite it again.

Hulda only avoided the attack because she had let go and fell backwards trying to scramble away. She had learned that after biting she needed to get away or she would be hit. She felt the electricity flow above her and only got up when she didn't feel it anymore. She then went back to biting Mephistopheles.

Mephistopheles phased out of the growlithe's grip again. Red light enveloped him, and he was returned to his decrepit pokeball. Lenore waved to her opponents as she left.

Alexa walked over to Hulda knowing the pup would have a hard time finding her and figuring out the battle was over. She gently patted her head and then returned her to her ball. She would get a treat when they got home. For now she waved to Lenore and left as well.
