Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Doyle walked into the stadium with Ark out by his side. However she didn't look like her usual self and was instead using an illusion of Archie. She didn't make any noised but merely checked out the 'beach' while waiting. Doyle watched Ark and wondered how long the illusion would last during the battle. He was betting on it dropping after the first hit even if he wanted it to last longer.

Lenore walked into the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. The duskull floated down to the seashore below.

Mephistopheles bowed before the archeops-that-was-Ark. "Greetings. I believe we have met before. If you do not recall, my name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto."

Mephistopheles raised an arm, firing a quick blast of ice at the archeops.

Doyle was glad to see the illusion had thrown off the Duskull making it use an attack that wasn't super effective against Ark. However the illusion didn't last after the ice hit and soon his Zorua was standing before them all.

Ark was pushed back by the force of the beam. The illusion dropped quickly as her concentration had been broken. She silently laughed and then let loose a black wave at Mephisto.

The reveal that he was fighting a zorua and not an archeops was surprising, but ultimately accomplished little. As he recovered from the dark energy, he sent another ice beam at the zorua.

Ark dodged most of the ice beam and was only hit on her hind legs. She slipped on the sand as she moved towards the more solid ground. Once there she unleashed another black wave.

Mephistopheles was buffeted by the dark energy, and he quickly fired another ice beam to disperse it.

Ark was hit with the ice beam and some ice began to form on her coat. She shook herself to get rid of it. She then began to sharpen her claws while silently laughing.

Mephistopheles' eye glowed as he stared silently at Ark.

Ark stared right back and sharpened her claws some more. It didn't bother her that he had used Encore as it was only helping her out right now.

Mephistopheles' eye stopped glowing, and he sent a burst of ice flying at Ark.

Ark finished sharpening her claws and began to run. She saw the ice and tried to dodge it but it hit her square on the chest sending her to the water. She reappeared soaking wet and she again used Hone Claws.
