Canyon Field: The canyon walls towers high towards the ceiling while the ground sinks downwards several levels, making the top and bottom of the field very difficult to see without special equipment. The cliff faces are very steep with little ridge support for grabbing and climbing; on top of that, the rock faces are very damp which makes grabbing and holding on very difficult. A few skinny trees and roots jut out from the cliff and allow smaller, nimbler pokemon to grab and swing around. At the very bottom of the canyon’s long drop is a deep pool of water. Keeping up is difficult for trainers on this particular battlefield, so stadium officials have set up a special view screen on each of the trainer platforms. A mini camera will follow your pokemon around while it battles (of course, it’s programmed to back off when a pokemon does an attack) and the view screen will enable trainers to issue commands to their companions via microphone. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FLYING and ROCK type attacks.

Doyle walked in and released his Poochyena. He had to yell at Angra to not jump over the edge as he could see the pokemon was considering it just to see what would happen. Course if he could he would try to push his opponent over the edge.

Lenore entered the stadium, Mephistopheles at her side. The duskull floated down to the canyon.

Mephistopheles bowed before launching a burst of electricity at the poochyena.

Angra was knocked back towards the edge from the force of the attack. He rushed towards the ghost ready to bite down.

Angra was shocked by the attack and he tightened his grip on the ghost. There was no way he was letting go this time!

Angra had to let go this time. He took a few steps back and shook himself. Seeing that everything was still in working order he went back to biting the ghost.

The poochyena ripped through Mephistopheles' cloak, and he sent another charge beam at it.

The ripping of the cloak brought Angra great joy even if there had been no ripping noise like his pokedoll toy makes. He barely felt the electric attack due to this great joy. Instead he kept biting hoping to rip more of the cloak off.

Mephistopheles phased out of the Poochyena's grip, bowing. "I concede. Thank you for the battle." Darkness burst from the duskull, lifting to reveal Mephistopheles and Lenore leaving.

Angra watched Mephistopheles leave and turned to go as well. He didn't get far before he was recalled.
