Lenore walked into the stadium shielding her eyes. To her side, Mephistopheles floated down to the rocky field below to await his opponent.

Zinnia and Zebo entered the stadium together. Zin nodded to the feline, who jumped down into position on the field. His opponent's trainer was a familiar face, but this was a new ghost. Perhaps he wouldn't be as poison-happy...?

Mephistopheles bowed before Zebo. "Greetings. My name is Mephistopheles, but you may call me Mephisto, if you so choose. I shall be your opponent for this battle. Good luck."

The duskull raised his arms, and shadowy tendrils burst up from the ground, writhing in the sandstorm.

"Shadow Ball," Zinnia commanded.

Dark, ghostly energy formed in front of Zebo's head. It swelled until it was roughly the size of a melon. Then the sphere shot off toward the ghost.

Mephistopheles was struck by the shadow ball, and it sank into him. The tendrils continued to whip about as Mephistopheles sent a raging blizzard forward.
