Zinnia walked in with Zyk perched in his familiar place on her shoulder. It was time to battle again.

Lenore and Mephistopheles entered the stadium. Seeing his latest sparring partner, Mephistopheles floated down to the field bowing.

Mephistopheles fired a burst of electricity at Zyk.

A bright, strangely colored orb appeared in front of Zyk. It whirled, flashing and changing colors, down and around Mephisto's head.

Zyk fell a few feet as he was hit, but he released another strange orb.

Zyk could barely maintain his flight, let alone attack. The last charge beam blasted him nearly out of the air. Still, he persevered and sent out another orb.
