Remembrance of The Unicorn Hunt(A Horrorcorn Group Plot contest)
Starts: Open! Ends: 10pm CST, November 14th
For ages, Unicorns have been sought by Nobility of the lands from which they hail, both as pets for their pretty gardens to show their wealth and prosperity, since the work needed to catch a Unicorn alive, especially due to their rarity and how sought out they were, was incredibly expensive, but also for the medicinal uses they were supposed to Carry. Many of those of their homelands didn't understand their power, and instead would kill unicorns to make cups and medicinal powders from their horns, expensive clothing crafted from their fine pelts, and their meat consumed.
While they have escaped the homeland, this trio still bear the scars of these hunts.
The Captured The Hunted (Scarred)The Vengeful Protector (Sans Scars) Now it is up to you to tell us what will become of them, and how they came to be...

Rules 1. No proxies. 2. No Mules 3. You must have someone for each Soquili – you cannot leave one blank. 4. Work as a team 5. Use the following form to enter. You are welcome to edit it through the contest, but it must be finished before submissions close. 6.Be sure to communicate with your team mates. You CAN have one person write the plot/story portion of it, but Drama is preferably left at the door. 7.You CAN edit your entries until closing time 8.Co-ownership IS allowed, but only either with the owner co-owning with someone who hasn't won OR with one of their teammates 9. This is just a simple "plot idea" contest: Please do NOT write a story, but rather just a plot line of how they got here, what their personalities are, and a rough idea of where to go from there10. They were not made as a related family, however it is possible for you to choose them to be related. If they are, they will be officially 'related' even if you change your mind once you win.Form Horror of the Horrorcorns

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Upside.-.Down Soquili name: Unity (concord, harmony, agreement; being united, combined; absence of diversity)" I wish we Unicorns were One- no One could be singled out." She longs to dissolve into the protecting embrace of the Herd, a herd composed of all Unicorns wherein she would be one among many. She desires the unity that is only possible when many minds cooperate, when dreams and aspirations combine to form a body of many acting as one towards a common goal. She understand the value of the individual, the unique treasures within each soul; her yearning for unity stems from being singled out and captured by the servants of vile Nobility. Fearful of bringing attention to her family, she cast aside her birth-name and took Unity as her namesake. Soquili Temper: Enduring Personality: Once so naive, this mare shed trust for two-legged kind with age. Her eyes are wrought with sorrow, her past a grim reminder of what can happen when curiosity overrides instinct. Through her many years in captivity, she developed a bitter revulsion towards anything that claims to idolize what it destroys. Despite her trials, she never lost Hope. She clung to the idea of freedom, the wish of a reunion with her family and with others of her kind, surviving on daydreams and the promise of something beyond the cage. She now lives as one complacent, never venturing out of what has become her home alone. She clings to the presence of another, praying that their proximity may prevent either one from coming to harm. When she does leave, it is with great trepidation- the fear of being captured again, of being found beyond the borders of their former lands, has not yet deserted her. Fearful, clingy, and wholly dependent on others for confirmation that she is finally free, she is a true survivor whose spirit was damaged. Trying desperately to pull her own weight, and work up the courage to trust beyond her own kind again, she lives life day to day. Will her spirit ever truly heal...? Background:She was a trusting and naive filly, one whose purity rang true. Barely out of adolescence, she began to explore the lands closest to her family's glade. It was a decision she would come to regret. The Hunters chose to disguise their cruel intentions with sugar-coated fantasy. Their scent was of honey and fresh-blooming flowers, only a faint hint remaining of humanity's stink. She was lured easily with sweet words and the promise of witnessing a statuesque landscape of such exquisite resplendence that she would never wish to leave. They lied. She did wish to leave, almost immediately upon setting hoof in the strange place. The tangible stench of wrongness reached her nostrils and she tried to escape- to no avail. Their destination was a cage wrought of gold, in which the poor mare was imprisoned for much of her adult life. She was kept because the females of the court enjoyed watching her, felt that theirs was the most illustrious of all because of the presence of the priceless Unicorn. A cage is no place for a Unicorn. Her spirit broken, her natural beauty began to wither as she aged. Sadness darkened her vibrant eyes. Upon her 42nd year, when the balance of power was shifting in the lands as father passed his mantle on to son, she was discarded as a relic of the past. The son wanted his own unicorn- a prettier one, one more pure in its youth, of higher value. He did not want to add value to his father's trinket by butchering it (he would have to admit that, sunken and underweight or not, it was still a highly-prized Unicorn!,) and chose to gift it to a low-ranking official who would understand the insult behind being aligned with the former ruler's now-scorned possession. She managed to escape one night, when the vengeful Protector whom she would one day call Friend lead an ambush of Soquili-kind (creatures from another land not unlike the Unicorns themselves) upon the small estate. Along with a broken stallion whose mind was warped by a lifetime spent on the run, the rescue-es were led to lands in which the four-legged equines were adored and treated with respect. Since then, she has stuck close to the mind-warped stallion, nestled in a small glade not unlike her familial home while the vengeful Savior of them all returns time and again to the lands from whence they had come. She thinks often of her family, and stares longingly into the night upon the eve of the search-and-rescue party's return... hoping for word of her blood-relatives while the presence of her heart's-kin soothes her troubled mind. (Links): [ RP Log] , [ongoing], [ Entry] Some samples of my writing with Huro are in her examples section. :3 Quote: The Hunted Username: -PR0X1MA-C3NTAUR1- Soquili name: Unseen (Invisible; Unperceived; Unobservable) " I wish I was invisible- no one could find me then." The stallion's ultimate goal in life is to simply pass by. To be left alone, to fade some day into nothingness- and have no one know that he is gone. At times, he is able to see that he merely wishes to evade the notice of Humans and their trained-animals, not those of his own ilk... but sometimes, he closes his eyes and tries to fade away from the sight of even the mare to whom he owes his life. Soquili Temper: Damaged Personality: He was once headstrong and rash, though he has become almost wholly introverted and a near-mute. A life spent on the run has made him rather high-strung and jumpy; he flinches at human voices and his instincts scream RUN at the smallest hint of a sharp sound or the slow crackle of leaves. He turns inwards for fear of harming others by reaching out to them. He has been alone for a long time, and developed emotional inhibitions that prevent him from interacting with others normally. He has not expressed himself for so long that he seems to have forgotten how... Background:Unseen was birthed by a dying mare whose mate had been butchered for sport. His was an existence that defied the odds, for the Hunters who had poisoned his dam with the slow-acting toxin knew that the pregnant mare would soon drop a tender little foal. They let her go, for after all she could not get far... and it would be more fun to chase the little creature for a while, drawing out the game that would pass too easily if they simply waited for it to drop into their hands. He evaded capture with luck and sheer chance, for a passing herd heard his mother's mournful cries and tried to come to her aid. By the time they arrived, she was beyond their combined healing capabilities- all they could do was spirit away the little foal, putting as much distance between themselves and the tainted hunting-grounds as possible. They named the little foal Luck, and raised him well to the tune of sweet lullabies and care. Their only mistake was to tell the headstrong foal of his parents' demise. When he matured, he wished to seek vengeance for his Mother and Father. From stories pieced together throughout the years, he discovered the location of his birth- and spread out his search from there. He had ventured alone, for though the herd loved him dearly none would risk their lives on this fool's errand- and yet none would infringe upon his freedom to chose his life's path as he pleased. Intended hunter soon became the hunted as sightings of a beautiful stallion roaming the lands made it to the ears of the Nobility. Serfs wishing to gain favor with their lords brought word of his travels, seeming to circle out from a central point. Luck did not avoid the humans who stared in wonder, for those he were seeking had to be among them. A hunting party was dispatched, and whether or not it was the same that had gone after his parents he would never know. He was forced to flee, for his horn (a healing tool, not meant to be a weapon against many foes,) and sharp hooves were no match for the spears and arrows of his pursuers. He has lead a harried life, ever-moving, always running. Don't stay in one place for too long, they'll find you. Don't seek out your herd, they'll follow. Don't stop. Keep going... and when he faints with exhaustion, he stumbles to his feet as soon as he regains consciousness. Some tricks and evasive tactics buy him time, but the relentless party (he does not know that multiple hunting parties span the land, that their communications are faster than his feet can fly) keeps coming. He does not understand the concept of Money, and so he knows not that some of his luck comes from the ebb and flow of the ruler's purses, biding time for his escape. Avoiding the company of others, refusing to seek help for fear of bringing devastation to kind souls, has twisted his mind. Alone- have to be alone. Don't stop- if you hear sounds of your own kind, quick! Run away. Take a glancing blow from a spear, just take the pain, you can deal with it- lead them away from this place! He moved through the land as a wraith, trying to vanish from everyone's sight. You can't be caught if you're never spotted. His emotions are inhibited, his survival instinct forefront in his mind. He does not speak, for sound would draw the attention of those who follow him. His throat would have closed long ago had he not the need to breathe. He has forgotten the nuances of speech, how to communicate with his peers. He forgot how to greet, how to converse, how to trust, even how to pronounce his own name. The tireless game of cat and mouse, injuries that never seem to fully heal, slowed his progress until one day a vivacious mare who better understood the mind of a frightened stallion than his human hunters overtook him. Startled and shocked, he reared and tried to flee- but she advanced, and the determined pride and her sweet voice that stirred memories of comfort in his travel-weary pain-addled brain gave in to the hope that... maybe... maybe it's okay, just once, to listen to the voice a while longer. Her spell did not hold him for long; he fled... and his hoof was caught in a trap. The mare was on a rescue mission, and rescue him she did. She understood the nature of his faith, and sang sweet melodies to keep him still as she sought to free his leg. When it was finally free, she nearly exhausted herself with the efforts to seal the wound well enough that he could run- healing had never been her strong suit. She made as if to lead him to a safer place, and the trusting stallion went, her soothing voice lulling his troubled soul. Have to keep moving... I'm moving, but, but... not alone. He was led to the Soquili lands shortly after a rescue operation on a small estate. He could not fathom the fragile mare's seeming-obsession with him, and he still did not speak a word. Stemming from the same understanding as "Melodies = Safe" that seemed to rise from some place deep inside, he tolerates her presence while following the voice that drew him out of his isolation. He paces his new home in circles and spirals, restless when the voice disappears but obeying the firm command to Stay put, Stay with your new companion. Don't disappear. Do you have any RP examples? (Links):Journal (2 samples on page 2; post 1 and 3) A winning RP Contest entryQuote: The Vengeful Protector Username: Huroggmeten Soquili name: Unframe To take apart; to destroy" I wish their bodies would dissolve, their willpower unhinged, their desire to possess us dispelled- protecting my kin and Kind would be so simple." Unique among the trio, she chose her name after her ambitious battle against those who would seek to tame, taunt or terrorize any Unicorn. The framework of the society that hunts Unicorns shall crumble, and she will throw herself against its foundations to start the avalanche- after all those who need rescuing are free and out of harm's way. Soquili Temper: Wrathful Personality: Unframe is a headstrong being whose strength never faded. She is relentless and solid in her beliefs. She is Strength, her muscles hardened and her mind unyielding. Strong, determined, and above all viciously loyal to her own kind, Unframe seeks to rid the world of the corrupt beasts who call themselves Man. (Specifically, those of her homelands.) Background:A natural leader, she has never been one to bend to another's will. Her strength and determination carried her through her first years, the value system instilled in her by her parents remaining uncompromising and true. "Justice is universal; Protect those weaker than you at all costs; Be kind, be caring, to those who live in harmony with the world; Violence is only warranted when Peace hangs in the balance." Her first lessons were of the healing art, though she always showed more interest in the later tutelage of the more proactive defensive and offensive maneuvers designed to take advantage of a Unicorn's speed. Though one may argue that her twisted horn is a symbol of her hypocritical "Unicorn blood should never be shed; Human blood is meant to be shed" mantra, her intentions are pure. She molded herself into a vengeful spirit whose tenacity knows no bounds. They started it with their vile traditions, she will end it. She has dedicated her life to this objective, and nothing with cause her to waver from her target. Her youth was spent rallying others to her cause, leading stealth missions to observe the humans' techniques and devise methods of their own. Her earliest tactics could be described as kamikaze at best, though with time they evolved into something more resembling guerrilla warfare. Herd migrations were coordinated, the largest persuaded to disband so that they would be harder to track. Many years she spent battling the evil humans in her lands before word of an alternative came. Some of her scouts came back with tales of what she would come to know as the Kawani lands, a place where humans and Unicorns leaved in peace. She scoffed at this idea at first, but as more and more returned weaving beautiful tapestries of hopeful coexistence, she began to believe. She sought the origin of these tales, and found a small crevice through which the occasional traveler made way. Unable to believe fully unless she saw it with her own eyes, for though she trusted her followers she could not imagine a world of peaceful coexistance, she stepped through the barriers of the land. Once deep in the Kawani lands, she encountered the Soquili and the Kawani people. Impressed by her scars and tales of woe, some few exchanged true stories and helped her to understand the baffling sights (a human riding atop a willing back? Unheard of! Kindness in humans? Shocking!) She came to understand their ways, and though she knew the evils of the land (harsh cautionary whispers of hell-spawned Skinwalkers, vicious Kalona whose thirst for blood was an atrocity) anything seemed better than what her kind faced at home. A brave few offered to return with her, to aid her efforts and to see these greedy sacrilegious humans for themselves. She now arranges rescue missions from the other side, her goal modified slightly: get all the Unicorns out to a safe place, but keep the location they are disappearing to a secret!, and then close the passageway for good. Unity and Unseen were the first she brought back, and she hopes to save many more before her time is done. Not all of her efforts are successful, but she would never stop trying... lest some insurmountable obstacle lay in her path. Do you have any RP examples? (Links) [x]Plot-summary-based: [x]More humorous: [x]Shorter, AIM-style: [x]Others, chosen at random: [x][x] [x] The Plot Between the Trio The trio was brought together by fate (though it may go by another names: chance, ambition, luck.) Though they will not remain attached at the hip, per say, their lives will be forever entwined.
Their life together began when they shed their old names to chose for themselves what they shall be called until their dying days, an act of self-definition in defiance of their pasts.
* Shortly after returning from the second-ever rescue attempt originating in the Kawani lands, the doorway to the lands from which they hail is sealed by an avalanche. - Unframe remains with Unity and Unseen while attempting to coordinate efforts to remove the giant stones and debris. - She teaches Unity the songs to soothe Unseen, the sweet exercise a welcome break from her bloody task. Unity's song lets her hope and sweetness shine through; when her voice rises in song she gains back some of the skin-deep beauty she had lost- an inner beauty that invigorates her weary frame and brings joy to those around her.
* Unity's fears are carefully eased as she is invited to explore bit by bit. - At first forced out of her comfort zone (literally the exact spot Unframe lead her to) by her desire to stay by the pacing Unseen's side, she follows him in his circles and spirals and slowly adds more and more territory to her carefully-bounded "safe area." - Through interactions between other inhabitants who come to her slowlsy-expanding comfort zone and within the trio, she begins to separate "travel" and "capture" in her mind- thus freeing her from the tether of her own foreboding.
* Exploration of the healing craft will heal their souls and show them a new way of life (Unity was too young to learn much beyond the very basic "It's there" when she was captured; Unframe has long neglected it in favor of using her horn as a weapon; Unseen's horn is broken but he can participate through herbal remedies) - Unframe begins to value her horn for more than its ability to maim again, exploring the healing properties and seeking to hone that craft (leaving her carefully-crafted killing techniques to the maintenance of memory) with the help of kindly shamans and friendly Unis. - Unseen is slowly drawn out of his shell by his initial interest in healing remedies and herbal brews, thus giving him both an outlet and a means of interacting that seems beneficial- what harm can come from seeking to master a healing art? (At first, he will shy away from direct contact, preferring instead to linger in the shadows and watch- this will be the first time he is able to stand still. Once he realizes he is still, he will startle and keep moving, but something draws him back to the craft... he will approach, showing the first sign of an overture of communication to the tune of Unity's joyous song... and slowly but surely will his apprenticeship begin.)
* Unseen learns to speak again, a lengthy process that parallels his slow attempts to settle into camaraderie with those who showed him that it's okay to be with others. - Damage begins to heal as old wounds are tempered by present affection.
* Some day the debris will be cleared, or another passageway will be found... perhaps Unity will recover enough to join Unframe in her search? Or will her gentle nature lead her to shy away from bloodshed in any form? Will she ever be reunited with her family? Will Unframe ever abandon her vigilance for a simpler life, or will she find new enemies and some day perish in battle? Will Unseen ever heal enough to socialize, or will he forever be inhibited and awkward? Might bonds of a deeper love spring forth from their close relationships?
These questions, and others, may only be answered by the character development that comes from roleplay and the addition of other players. whee

I (Kirowyn Love) surprisingly won a pony in the mask contest, so I asked Revel to take over my part of the plot!! Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Kirowyn Love
Soquili name: Estrellita (Little Star) Soquili Temper: Understanding
Personality & Background: Before the Hunt 0000Etrellita grew up in a herd that was sheltered from most of the outside world and its evils. She was always smiling. A delicate soul, she couldn't stand to see anything being harmed or mistreated - especially her her family. She was very close to her older brother Beinmir and spent most of her days with him. She was just beginning to come into her magic; her mother was teaching her a little more every day. 0000She was very soft spoken and gentle, hardly speaking above a whisper. She had a fondness for woodland creatures, and would use her new found magic to help them when they were in need. She was one of the gatherers for her herd and would spend a lot of her time in the woods, often accompanied by Beinmir.
After the Hunt 0000While she still has a gentle disposition, she is no longer blinded by naïveté (although some of it still lingers). Her world was turned upside down when she realized through force that everything wasn't peaches and cream. Some of the world could be ugly and she wants to change that. She thought that deep down inside, everyone had some goodness in them. She also had a stronger voice now; gained from necessity when she was being taken. She knew her voice had to be heard by anyone willing to hear it. She wanted to change the world. 0000She used to be close to her brother. While she would always love him, after being mistreated she slowly drifts apart from him. He became colder and more distant. He couldn't see the optimism that she did. She feels sorry for him, but knows that to overcome what he's going through is something he needs to do on his own.

Soquili name: Beinmir (Glimmering Jewel) Soquili Temper: Docile
Personality & Background: Before the hunt 0000Beinmir was a stallion who was gentle and fair with eyes open to any wonder and possibility in the world. He loved his sister Estrellita and treasured his life in the herd. He spent time gazing at the clouds and skies, listening to the birds sing and simply laughing and loving. For this was his world, soft gentle and pure as his shimmering coat and warm magic that was made only to heal and ease the pains of the world. There was nothing else for him but the scent of flowers, the warmth of the sun and the voices of those he loved. 0000The role he played in his herd was that of a teacher. He spent time with all the little foals and taught them various things about life. If anyone showed the potential for magical ability early, he would try to nurture that as well. Sometimes his sister would assist him teaching, just as he helped her gather food. After the hunt 0000Gone was his naive look on life. Things were cold and had edges to cut. He knew the birds he used to love to watch would die. His herd’s voices only echoed in his mind as screams of pain and fear as the scent of burning hair. He no longer can see the world for just beauty and gentleness; his magic no longer can warm him. His blue eyes now seek out the harshness in reality. He is flighty to any danger; he no longer trusts the word of man. He seeks only company of other Soquili, but even then the loss of his horn burns him with sorrow and shame so he seeks none of his kind but the one who saved him. 0000He lost a lot of his confidence when he lost his horn. He no longer feels capable of doing anything - especially teaching others. He's sad that part of his life is over now, but he wouldn't trust himself to not taint the little ones with his hatred of the humans.
Do you have any RP examples? (Links): The Future Masters & A Tentative IdeaQuote: The Vengeful Protector Username: [X]Natty-Chan[X]
Soquili name: Sheehan (Peacemaker) Soquili Temper: Vengeful
Personality & Background: Before the Hunt 0000Sheehan was originally a gentle, helpful mare. It would give her great pleasure to see the faces of others that she would assist and solve problems for. Healing was especially fulfilling for her, having no reservations to do it, even for the smallest of wounds. She didn't have a true herd of her own, but was welcomed among a small unicorn herd every now and then. She was considered family to a few of the members. Neither she nor the herd minded that she wouldn't fully join, it gave her more freedom to roam about and help others. She would be gone for days, but would always return at least once a week. After the Hunt 0000She began to view humans as vicious beasts that only know how to harm and kill to get what they want. At first, it was sheer untrust, but after other encounters it became total hatred. She became geared on vengeance against humans, bitter and enraged. She lowered herself to kill humans, not caring if they were truly evil or not. She soon had a kalona mentality. Unicorns were the only breed she could trust and any species that would associate with the humans were filth. She is easily angered when she sees any form of violence or injustice, especially against a unicorn. She won't hesitate to react with violence, without bothering to hear the situation first. No matter what others would tell her, she still views humans as monsters and will see anyone who goes against her as enemies. 0000Toward other unicorns, she is a vision of her past self. She's still gentle and helpful, but no longer able to heal. This is true until she is challenged physically or stood against her word. Then she will become aggressive, but she won't attack instantly. Wanting to preserve their species, she will just separate from those who question her than attack them. 0000All in all, though inwardly, she still has a peacemaker personality, it is a twisted view of it.
Do you have any RP examples? (Links): You're not what you seem & A new friend? The Plot Between the Trio
Some plotting might also be more backstory, to make it a bit fuller and complete.
Chaos! (Beinmir & Estrellita) After being sheltered for so long, Beinmir and Estrellita's worlds are about to be turned upside down. Humans have found their herd. They gathered up teams and invaded to both capture and kill for magic. They storm into the herd's territory, surprising the them and causing panic. The brother and sister will try their best to get away, but Estrellita ends up getting captured to be used as a pretty pet for a royal. Beinmir manages to escape, but not for long...
A Simple Life - Ruined (Sheehan) One day while wandering the forest looking for any injured wildlife, Sheehan gets way-laid by a group of hunters and their dogs. She ran from them, but the dogs lead her into an ambush where the humans jumped out with ropes and tied her down. There, they proceeded to remove her voice box and tongue, and she passed out from the pain. Thinking she was dead, they left her carcass for the predators. She manages to survive, unaware of the fact that it was due to a truly kind human sewing up her wounds. Her in-again-out-again herd was nowhere to be found when she tried to return to them; she has no idea if they were taken and killed or if they managed to escape. She becomes very bitter - she now uses her horn for death instead of healing.
Trapped! (Sheehan and Beinmir) While Beinmir is trying to keep up with the bandits that took his sister, his foot gets caught in a trap that was set up by the humans just for cases like this. he manages to run with the trap attached to his leg for a bit, but then he's pelted with arrows. The humans get a hold of him; fight them as he might, they still get the better of his weakened state. They take his horn and are about to take his pelt as well when a strange mare (Sheehan) comes bursting forth to save him with her deadly horn.
To the Rescue (Estrellita, Sheehan and Beinmir) After fighting off the humans, Beinmir explains what happened to Sheehan. He asks for her help in rescuing his sister. Always wanting to punish humans for their wrong-doings, Sheehan agrees. (Sheehan manages well without her voice - she indicates what she means with a nod or shake of her head and other gestures.) While they are searching Estrellita will a semi-self RP where she explains how she's being treated and how she got to where she is now. Bein and Sheehan finally reach their goal and sneak Estrellita out by the cover of night.
Fleeing the Land (Sheehan, Beinmir and Estrellita) A successful rescue was just the first step - the challenges aren't over yet. Seeing their wounds, Estrellita tries to heal them but can't for some reason. All three of them decide to get somewhere safer together. Both Beinmir and Estrellita aren't really capable of defending themselves right now and Sheehan feels the need to protect them. This will be about the trials they face as they make their way to Kawani lands.
Safety? (Beinmir, Estrellita and Sheehan) When the group gets to the Kawani lands, there starts to be some disagreement among the group. Estrellita wants to stay put where she knows it is safe - hoping to find a new herd to start their lives over. Sheehan doesn't really want to be in a herd anymore - she became more of a wanderer. Beinmir is torn between staying with his sister or following his rescuer. In the end he decides to search for more justice with Sheehan. Estrellita isn't happy about parting with her brother, but she knows there are things he needs to do before he can be whole again.
Vague Plottings for the Future
Estrellita: She'll either find a herd to be a part of, or a couple of nice Soquili to show her the Kawani lands. She won't be too forthcoming about her past at first, but if she ends up getting really close to anyone the truth will come out. She also hopes to meet with her brother again some day, and that he manages to come back to his former self again. She will find the strength within herself to try and teach everyone that there is good in the world, and that they should believe in it. Maybe she can have a plot with a Kalona that's on the fence and teach them to be a kinder spirit.
Beinmir: He follows Sheehan for awhile, but does decide to at one point visit his sister. Which one he decides to stay with is yet to be determined. He might find Sheehan too agressive and come to the realization that not all humans are bad, or he might become even more vengeful from being with her. Maybe romance?
Sheehan: She wanders from place to place - sometimes finding friends, and other times delivering justice. Misunderstandings with other Soquili are bound to happen due to her prejudice against non-unicorns. She hopes that one day she'll possibly run into someone from her old semi-herd. Always when she's wandering thinking about them and where they could be now.

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Kamiki Soquili name: Lunaris ( Latin "Of the Moon") Soquili Temper: Lost Personality: Lunaris is torn between embracing her true nature as a free, powerful, fierce protector and letting go of everything she's ever known. Having been in captivity since she was just a newborn filly, she's known nothing but the greed and exploitation of the humans. Despite this, suddenly devoid of what she's known for her whole life, she feels lost and out of place. She always yearned for freedom, but now that she has it, she's having to face the reality that's she's extremely crippled in the ways of the Unicorn. She doesn't know how to defend herself, how to act around others of her kind, or how to take care of herself on even the most basic level. She also is very uncertain in her healing abilities. While she was used by the humans to heal, she was rarely given the opportunity to use her innate abilities - they generally would harvest or tears or mane hairs to have their apothecaries concoct healing brews. Deep in her heart she's kind and sweet, but she finds it extremely difficult to trust others. A part of her feels betrayed by her family for allowing her to get captured; but yet now that they have rescued her she finds herself having to stave off resentment for ripping her from her unhappy (but stable) life with the humans. She's uncomfortable and awkward, constantly conflicted, and finding it difficult to cope with her new life. Background: Mate: none Father:: Agentis Mother: Seren (deceased) Siblings: Valora Lunaris was captured by humans when she was just a newborn filly, so she barely remembers her brief life in the forest. She was raised on the castle grounds under lock and key - being raised as a cross between a high end pet and a prize work animal. While having a Unicorn was considered by the humans as a impressive status symbol, the humans believed that Unicorns could not ever be truly tamed or broken, so Lunaris was never allowed out of her chains. Humans would cut her mane and collect her tears for medicinal purposes, often resorting to beating her to get her to cry. Lunaris was taken when she was too young to remember hardly any of her family before the castle, but in her soul she always knew she was living a life a unicorn wasn't supposed to live: she longed for freedom and the ability to run free in the wilderness. But life among the two-leggers is all she's ever known. Do you have any RP examples? (Links):Quote: The Hunted Username: Sabin Duvert Soquili name: Argentis ( Latin: "Silvery") Soquili Temper: Broken Personality: Argentis is a shell of the one grand, proud unicorn stallion that he once was. He sees himself as a failure - not only to himself, but to his family, and unicorn-kind as a whole. He does not even consider himself worthy to be called a unicorn any longer - having been stripped of his horn, the icon of their race. He no longer tends to the cleanliness of his pelt, letting it collect burrs, or old scars sometimes seeping and staining his fur. And while he no longer possesses his healing magic, he never sought out others to heal it for him - seeing the old wounds as just one penance for his failure. Argentis is scared to hope for better, even as he has been reunited with his two daughters. He has yet to overcome his feelings of unworthiess, and even aiding in rescuing his youngest daughter hasn't felt like it is enough to make amends for his failure. He will never trust any human again - no matter how young and seemingly innocent. Background:Mate: Seren (deceased) Children: Valora, Lunaris One of the dwindling number of true unicorns in the lands that he hailed from, Argentis took on the mantle of the responsibility as a protector of his forest. He had been raised with the belief that the sanctity of the forest depended on the unicorn that resided there: That as long as the unicorn was there to protect it, the forest would thrive. And so, when Argentis set out on his own and claimed a territory, he felt that unwavering strength was his responsibility. The great sylvan forests of yore were dwindling year by year. The unicorns were being hunted. Argentis saw the fault lying in the weakness of the protectors, and as the years passed and he evaded persistant hunters and canny dogs, Argentis began to grow cocky. He saw himself as a pinnacle of strength, virtue, and masculinity. His healing magic was strong, and he used it to aid the fauna in his woods. He was swift, powerful, and his coat was always kept glimmeringly pristine. And yet no human would catch sight of him if he did not wish it. Only the sweetest maidens did he ever deign to appear before, granting them the priviledge of his presence. The years passed and he took a mate, and eventually, they were blessed with a daughter... and then another. The hunts intensified, especially as the unicorns dwindled. And when word spread that not one but four unicorns called one forest home, it became a prize in the eyes of many men. A great hunt was mobilized, and used more cunning and trickery than Argentis ever expected. And Argentis's pride became his - and his family's - undoing. A beautiful young woman ventured into his woods, and Argentis appeared before her, letting her small hand rest on his soft nose... right before there was a whizzing and then a painful bloom as an arrow drove into his shoulder. Argentis ran, but he was wounded, and slowed enough that the hunters could follow him. Little did Argentis realize in his pain addled mind, that they were driving him. As he tried to turn sharply, another arrow burried behind his elbow. He sidestepped back, whinnying shrilly in pain... and that's when the beartrap clamped down over his foreleg. The hunters did not take long to strip him of his unicornhood - his prized horn. His cries of pain drew his family close to help him, only to fall into the hunters' nets themselves. Then before his eyes he saw as his young daughters were taken, and his mate bleed to death as they cut her horn so close to her forehead. Argentis was destroyed. His mate was dead, his foals were gone - worse, in the hands of cruel humans. And the loss of his horn was a representation of how damaged and emasculated Argentis felt. He wished that they had killed him instead of leaving him like that - broken, alone, and not even a unicorn any more. He had failed as a protector. He had failed as a unicorn. He left his forest, defeated. He wandered in a fog, barely aware of what went on around him. Almost hoping that someone would find him and finish him off to put him out of his misery. But with the loss of his horn, dirty, and without his once proud-bearing, few humans even recognized him for the unicorn that he was. When his eldest daughter found him once more, he could not bear to see her again, for his own failures. What he had let happen to them, to her. How despicable he had become. He never paused to think that his rejection could be seen by her as disgust of her own battle scars that she bore. Do you have any RP examples? (Links): Lots? Here's a couple examples. To Trap a Prince is one of my more recent-ish involved plotlines. Other parts of that storyline are on the same page of my teepee. Greed - the tale of a skinwalker The Prodigal Son Returns - Drama in Balrog's herd as his eldest son who left the herd to join his mate - a kalona - returns with his own foals to attempt to take the herdlands that he sees is rightfully his. Quote: The Vengeful Protector Username: Tara de Draiocht Soquili name: Valora ( Latin "Brave, courageous.") Soquili Temper: Fierce Personality: Valora, like many Unicorns, is truly soft and good good-natured at heart. But, having been born in the time of the Unicorn Hunts, she was taught from a young age to fight and defend their home: nothing is every easy but the truly important things are worth fighting for. However, during one particular gruesome defeat by the humans, Valora had to learn to cope with loss of her mother and the rejection of her father. Massively scarred, both on the inside and out, Valora puts on a front around others, her family included, showing hardly any other emotion besides hatred for the fleshlings that ruined her life. Background: Mate: none Father:: Agentis Mother: Seren (deceased) Siblings: Lunaris Born in the height of the great Unicorn hunts, Valora's childhood was never peaceful or sheltered as it should have been. Her father taught her from an early age how to defend herself and ingrained in her the mindset that it was her birthright and duty to protect the forest in which she lived. Despite having successfully defended her home against several Unicorn hunts, eventually the humans successfully raided their forest and did massive damage. Valora's mother was killed while protecting her and her younger sister, Lunaris. Still a young filly, Valora and Lunaris were captured by the humans and transported back to their castle stronghold. It was several days travel back to the castle, and Valora fought the whole way. Lunaris was young enough to be easily caged, but Valora kept fighting and breaking her enclosures. Finally the humans decided to try and confine her with a bridle and bit and lead her behind the caravan like an unbroken horse. Still not willing to give up, Valora fought for miles. Eventually she broke free of her bit, but not before suffering massive injuries to her face. She fled, immediately making her way back to her forest to find her father. However, when she found him, he had been beaten and broken: his horn removed and his spirit only a shadow of the proud Unicorn he once was. He rebuffed his daughter, seemingly horrified by her scarred face, and left his forest to never return. As the years went by, Valora grew increasingly strong and vengeful: never fully giving up on her family. She dedicated her life to tracking down the men that had decimated her herd, growing more bitter and violent with each passing season. She turned the tables against the unicorn hunters: the horn meant for healing turning into a brutal weapon and her once shining fur became proudly stained with human blood. Valora took trophies when she tracked down the hunters that had invaded her forest: she tied the skull of the hunter that had killed her mother into her mane as a special prize. As for the hunters that had maimed her father: she took the jaws, turning them into weapons tied to her forelegs. She took pleasure in the irony of using these pieces of humans - or even their scavenged weapons with the axe head she threaded her tail through - and turning them against other humans. Many years later she discovered her sister was still alive and living in captivity. Determined to right the wrongs of her childhood, Valora found her father again and recruited his help in the rescue of Lunaris. Do you have any RP examples? In a particularly prosperous sylvan forest, a stallion named Argentis had just welcome his second daughter into the world. Argentis and his family had been successfully fending off the human hunters for many years, and was fostering a sense of security. As the human hunts intensified, the unicorns in the land dwindled. And when word spread that, not one but four, unicorns called one forest home, it became a prize in the eyes of many men. A great hunt was mobilized, and used more cunning and trickery than Argentis ever expected. And Argentis's pride became his - and his family's - undoing. Argentis the Hunted was trapped and stripped of his horn. His life mate, Seren, is killed while trying to protect her two daughters. Lunaris, the youngest daughter, becomes the Captured, taken and raised in the human castle. Valora, the eldest daughter, grows Vengeful, managing to escape the human hunters but not before suffering horrible scars. The family is rendered asunder: Argentis leaves his home and rejects his daughter, while Valora vows to grow stronger than ever. Years pass, but eventually Valora finds out that her sister is still alive in the castle and becomes even more determined to saver her. She goes back to her father and appeals for his help. She tells him that saving Lunaris will be the only way he could ever hope to redeem himself. Despite being terrified of failure, Argentis agrees. Going Forward:Valora and Argentis will stage a rescue of Lunaris Upon succeeding, the will flee their homelands and make their way to the New World. How will these three react to being in a new land so drastically different than their own? Will any of them ever be able to trust the two-leggers again, even the kindest of the Kawani people? How will they react to new threats? Will the unicorns of the New World relate to their lives of being ruthlessly hunted? Specifically, along the way we plan to have the three of them encounter a skinwalker - which would be an alien concept to them. We would like to explore how seeing another creature, not so unlike themselves, could be twisted into such a hateful and deceptive beast. They would all have to work together to fend off an outright attack: in the end (assuming things go well for the unicorns...) this could be an opportunity for them to bond. Working together as a family unit to defend against a greater enemy might help ignite a glimmer of hope for the family. We also hope to have the three of them interact with some kind-hearted Kiwani people. Lunaris especially might find herself drawn to the two-leggers, especially ones that didn't use chains and restraints to control her. But her father and sister are not as willing to forgive the humans yet. Additionally, in their homeland, the unicorns lived a fairly solitary life: generally there was only one unicorn or small family per forest. The Kawani lands are, on the contrary, filled with a large Soquili population. It would be strange for all them to be around so many creatures like them - and it will be interesting to see how the three of them interact with them all. Perhaps Valora's insecurities about her scars and disfigurements will come to the surface? Will Argentis ever be able to forgive himself enough to seek another mate? Lunaris is awkward around her family, let alone strangers like her. Will she ever feel like she 'fits in' among Soquili? Most Fairy Tales ends with the "Happily Ever After" - however, all three of these Soquili are damaged. Their all dealing with psychological trauma and all three of them have reacted to it differently. Argentis has withdrawn and lost his former identity. He's extremely crippled emotionally, and burdened with shame. Valora has grown strong and powerful, but harbors hate and resentment (outwardly towards the humans, but inwardly some of the resentment is directed at her father) that makes her intimidating and hard to form relationships. Lunaris is utterly unfit for the world outside her castle walls, both craving her freedom and yet her fear and uncertainly making her yearn for the stability and twisted comfort of the human's care. Will these three ever be able to function as a family again? They are presented with the opportunity to start over, but like a broken vase glued back together, there will always be cracks. Beyond this contest, these three will work through RP to heal their devastated family and see if they will ever be able to forgive each other and become a loving unit once again.

Background:Illystria is the youngest priestess of light, a ward of the unicorn's healers, and last of her kind. Valued only for her glowing horn. She is unique in her ability to truly heal, and see straight into the heart of those she's healed. Those with darkness in their hearts become less evil when healed by a touch of majestic horn. She is one of a set of twins. She believes her sister to be dead. The reason she was caught is for her escape and attempted elopement with a young acolyte of the water tribe. Viewing every other creature as only one of convenience a way out of wherever he's gotten himself into. But if he loves he loves truly, wanting to be the only thing in a mare's thoughts. Background:He was an acolyte at the temple of light, he wanted far more than a simply place and food, his calculating blue eyes wanted to obtain great power, but he was only ever allowed to pray. His eyes fell one day upon the last priestess of light. His chest stirred with need, and he began to secretly approach her. It took time but soon his words chipped away at her resolve, and she agreed to leave with him. This was a large misstep as they were hunted down, traitors to their kind. Though he thought they had escaped the hunting from their own tribe, he and his beloved priestess found themselves in the midst of the opposing tribe. Corrupted unicorns who vowed to sacrifice those of the light tribe and murder them as they saw fit. He escaped with severe wounds living, but he left Illystiria behind. Saving his own skin was more important than his beloved. It would haunt him as he walked the bath between living and dieing. She is confrontational when needed and soft spoken when it is appropriate. She is reluctant to involve herself, as she has known much disdain for her appearance, but if she feels strongly, she will not hesitate to bring about vengeance and true pain on those who deserve it. Background:Timmain is the shadow. Her life has been stained with the blood of the corrupted tribe from the time she was a foal onward. She is the sister of the youngest priestess of light in her tribe. They were once a similar set of twins their looks mirroring one another. But she had no healing power, and because of that she was seen as a bad omen. She knows her sister has been told she was dead. As she has made her way through the ranks of shadows, her form has become fierce. She is no longer a beauty like her twin. She is a fierce leader, warrior of the shadows who walks in a world to keep the light tribe safe. As she was on a hunt, news reached her of her sister's disappearance. In a moment of emotion she abandoned her post, leaving her second in command in charge. Her sister was the last known true healer, there was nothing she would not do to rescue her. The tribe would fall if their healer...their deity link was lost. Setting out on her mission to retrieve the priestess of light, she finds the prone and injured acolyte. Demons Trail - After a long fight, Timmain is attempting to bring her sister back to the tribe, but they find their way into a skinwalker's territory. Illystria tries to reason with the beast, and finds herself being close to death. Re-enter Syndaris to assist in escaping the territory. Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: sbuggy166 Soquili name: Rapine (the violent seizure and carrying off of another's property; plunder)Soquili Temper: Solemn Personality: Rapine is very knowledgeable in healing. she was gifted from a young age to be able to heal even the deepest of cuts. being around wounded so often made her very calm and controlled. if someone was brought to her, she needed to be ready to treat them without freaking out about all the blood. her wisdom makes her very serious in a no nonsense kind of way. Rapine hates fighting and any sort of conflict, it brings nothing but pain and more victims for her to heal. she has a deep love and connection to everyone who she has healed. Background: Rapine came from a large herd that was known for their exceptional healing powers. Being the head healer was a challenge that Rapine took seriously. everyday was filled with wounded unicorns who needed her help. she healed cuts from hunters knives, hunting dog bites, removed traps on feet and tails. how could these humans cause so much pain? one day while out searching for herbs a group of hunters surprised her and quickly had her unconscious. She awoke in a garden were she stayed for several days. they did not feed her to keep her weak. she tried to escape, but failed and had a ball and chain attached to her leg to keep her prisoner. she did not know why she was kept prisoner, until one day her mate was lead into the garden, she saw him and gave out a cry of joy. but before she could run to him a collar that had been sitting in a hot fire was placed around her neck. the hot metal burned her skin, and made her neck bleed. she fell down in pain and cried. through her tears she saw her mate taken away, and faintly heard the guard tell her mate, "we wont hurt her anymore if you agree to joining the hunt." He believes that the Unicorns will on day be safe again, even through the turmoil of his world he is determined to see them safe again. He may hold a slight bitterness towards humans and be untrusting of them where he once was simply uncaring/indifferent of them. He was once kind and warm-hearted but now he gives off an air of uncertainty to those he meets and is constantly analyzing them and his surroundings looking for the quickest escape route. He is also very protective and may come off as a bit aggressive when it comes to his dear friends and loved ones....he's taking no chances of losing anyone ever again. Background: He came from a once large and proud herd, now hunted for their meat and captured for their powers of healing. The mares found it 'easy' according to some as most were just captured to be used as trophies to show off and were used for healing purposes among other things. The stallions however, if they were not killed instantly once captured, were set into groups and it was made into a game to hunt them and to slowly break their spirits. Should they refuse the game however, their loved ones then would be tortured maybe to the point of killing them until they agreed. This is what happened here....Upon being captured the stallion refused to leave his love and so their captors began to torture his love until he could take it no longer. She is self-sufficient and can take care of herself in most situations. She's also completely insane and unrepentant. She is hard and cold and exact. There is not much left in her of love or concern, though she is protective of other unicorns. She can be completely callous and outspoken, not one to mince words. Those whom she allows to become close can see past the tough exterior to the once sweet mare she was before her mind shattered. Background: She wasn't always this way. She was raised among a close-knit and loving herd, raised as a well-adjusted and happy young mare. Then one day the hunters came and slaughtered her herd, her family, her very way of life. Some they captured, most they killed and butchered. That day, Acrimony's mind snapped. Whomever and whatever she was before that moment was gone. From then on, she was Vengeance incarnate. She began teaching herself to fight. There were many battles and through sheer perseverance, she survived and lost a little more of her sanity. The sliced her neck, she found a way to stitch it up. They sliced her face, she used her gashed mouth to bite the hunters even harder. The only problem is she saw all two-leggers as hunters. She beat back the hunters, killing them all as Martyr stared in horror and disbelief. Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Leopleuradon Soquili name: Althea (Healing~) Soquili Temper: Subdued Personality: There was a time when Althea would have been lively and full of energy. She would have gotten along with just about anyone and was well on her way to becoming a top healer in her herd, her specific family was very gifted. However, as she was captured and broken she grew quiet. Not only because she was worried about making too much noise, but because over time the binding around her neck began to tear at her skin. Any noise she can make will always be soft. She doesn't believe she'll ever have her sing-song voice back. She has learned by now just to go along with what the humans tell her, if only so she can survive long enough to make an escape one day. Although, no escape attempt has been made from her before. Background: Althea was a lively and attentive foal. She wanted more than anything to be a top rate healer and example for others when she grew older. She always paid close attention to her lessons as a child and has somehow retained them despite everything she's been through up to this point. She used to have a treasured voice, but that will always remain in her past before her whole world was turned upside down. Her heard used to be nestled up against rocky mountain, at the time they had always though this would be a safe location. With the mountain to their backs, all they had to defend would be an attack from the front. It didn't work out, the humans set their forest on fire and smoked the Unicorn's out into the open. Those who turned from their values and tried to fight were slaughtered mercilessly in front of those that were captured quickly. Althea was close to escaping, simply because she had been fast on her feet and had had a stallion guarding her way out. When he fell, she was told to keep running, while they were distracted with him. She was almost out, when she felt the rope around her leg and she fell. The next thing she could recall, presumable having blocked a lot of her memory out, was being in a wooden structure. There was a tight metal collar around her neck, that took a lot of getting used to and made it hard to make any loud noises at all. She could barely whimper. Her back leg was hard to move, and that was because a bulky object held it down. She was in a pin of sorts and as she looked around she could see where others had been here for some time, but at the moment she was the only one. Panic had her hesitant to any sort of attention for the first months. Anyone that came in she instantly reared back on them, lifting her front hooves in the air. However, she did grow wise to this shortly, knowing it wasn't fun to be beat. There wasn't anything she could do, having been taught to 'do no harm'. Then, she learned why she was at this particular house. As a small child wondered out to her at night, a small sickly child. Was it odd that Althea could actually bond with one of the humans that held her captive? But this girl wasn't mean, and just the sight of Althea seemed to perk the girl up, and seemed to help her health. Althea grew to love their nightly meeting, the girl was her only real hope and the only person that ever treated her gently. It she was hear to keep this girl healthy, then she would somehow learn to deal. Somehow learn to cope. She still wished to be free again. But at least this girl, who fondly called her Snowflake seeing as she had no idea what her actual name was, helped ease her pain. Helped give her life in captivity some reason. Until the human hunters came upon him. They broke him, Actaeon was no match for their traps or arrows. He shies away from anyone, whether they mean harm or want to help him. The sounds around him when alone cause him to turn and run, rather than investigate. He can't stand being within the boundaries of any forest, especially alone, for fear the hunters find him again. Background: Actaeon was born and raised in the noble lands. He comes from a strong herd, each were brave and protective, even his own parents. While they knew of the humans and rumors that they hunted unicorns, none chose to believe it. That began to change when members of thier herd and many others from the surrounding forest and lands disappeared. He lost his family to those disappearances and soon felt the need to take on the duty of protecting the few who were left. He encountered many humans, fighting back, evading capture and helping to free others. That was until he himself became trapped. He fought back when they came for him, snapping his horn off in the process. When he managed to free himself of their traps, he ran. Each human he encountered never showed compassion, but instead fired arrows in an attempt to bring the stallion down. He now wanders the lands, trying to get far from those of noble birth and to live somewhere safe. However, he finds it harder and harder each day. Every voice he hears, every rustle, the sounds of bow-strings, snapping traps or screams sends him running in the other direction. Actaeon is forced to live with the scars of his pursuers. Arrow heads remain buried in his body, scars from the bear traps that had been snapped around his legs, dried blood forever matting and staining his once beautiful coat. The one thing he can never do is heal himself again, let alone anyone else. Do you have any RP examples? She is insane and is consumed by hate and the need to hunt. She wears the bones of her former captors as a warning to all, that she has given up the tenants of “do no harm”. Toward her own kind she feels contempt for those who think themselves safe from the hunters, but a twisted sort of compassion toward those who are captured. She doesn't want to see them destroyed as she herself was, and does all she can to set them free. If all else fails she is not above taking their lives to end their suffering. Her name is a lie, and she hates all that it stands for, but she can not bring herself to name herself something else...it is the only thing she has left of her former family. Background: She was once considered a great and talented beauty of her herd in her youth. That was until the hunters descended upon her family and captured them. Knowing her for a great prize and wanting to break her, her family was tortured before her, and still when she refused to break, others of her kind were brought before her. Although it broke her heart to see others suffer, she would not bend her will to that of her captors. When their patience finally wore with her, they turned their knives to her. For several long years they cut and tortured her, and instead of becoming more compliant, a rage started to build in her, until finally one day her mind snapped and against all the lessons of her youth, when the torturer came she plunged her horn through his chest. Her blood lust did not end there, she did not stop until the entire camp was slaughtered. She vowed from then on she would hunt those who hunted her kind and would not stop until they were all dead. Do you have any RP examples? (Links):Teepee (not all links up to dateSelf-RPFinishedOther RP: Old RPFinishedThe Plot Between the Trio Backstory: Actaeon and Nanaea met by pure chance. The male had been blinding running away from someone (or maybe just any noise at all) when his hoof came down on the spring of a trap. Thankfully Nanaea had been close by to help remove the bear trap before it could cause any serious damage. Actaeon then stuck close by his savoir, as she claimed all they had to do was free another before she would help Actaeon free himself of this bloody Kingdom. He wanted, no needed, to get as far away as possible. First though, they had to get Althea out of her prison. A prison which oddly enough the mare would never complain about later. Sure, they treated her horribly. But thanks to that small girl she could never really complain. Still, Nanaea broke in with vengeance, tearing into the two-leggers again and again with her now bloodstained horn. Althea was shocked, glad to be free, but not happy to see that one of her kind was killing others. It was so against their nature! Still, Althea couldn't be picky about her Saviors and in time she would grow to love both Nanaea and Actaeon. Future Plots:1. Escaping for Good :: Basically the three of them traveling away from the noble lands, and realizing that it is not a safe place to attempt going back for any others, toward freedom. Basically their entrance into the Kawani lands where they'll encounter other breeds and attempt making a new life for themselves. It's unlikely that the three of them will ever split form each other. However, if any actual relationships (romantic) come of this, would be determined through RP. 2. A Herd to Call Home :: Nanaea would be the obvious Alpha. Both Althea and Actaeon are both far to quiet to lead a herd. However they all believe that the closeness of others would help to heal their old wounds.

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Etherial Requiem Soquili name: Oracle Soquili Temper: Broken Personality: A healer personality with gentleness and warmth. That may be slightly broken in her due to her treatment at the hands of man. She will still heal those who need it as best as she can. Background: Her parents were healers also, always helping others, living in a quiet glade filled with flowers and their own spring. She was learning to become a healer also when the attack on the group came. She was collared and separated when she tried to protect her parents from being dragged off and slaughtered. The collar dug into her, but she never stopped fighting for them even as she failed. Even when they tried to drag her off, she pulled away with the collar digging into her body. She could not understand the idea behind such cruelty. Do you have any RP examples? His whole reason for being was betrayed, and it has left scars much deeper than those that mark his body. Despite this great pain, he bears up under it, being stronger than he would have believed, though his spirit carries the burdens of his past just as his body does. Despite the inner pain, despite his betrayed trust, he seeks to assist those who are near unto death, those that his own blood can pull back towards life. However, never again shall the scent or song of a sweet and 'innocent' human maid ever draw him again. Background: He cannot remember his name from before. It was something of the same nature as moonlight, as delightful as spring water. When the hunters caught him, his head trustingly in the lap of the maiden, he first thought it was an attack on his dear maiden. The struggle was fierce, and though they sought to capture and not harm him, his tongue was torn out when he seized the hand of an assailant in his jaws. The man probably lost his hand thereafter, but he did not care. His life was over, his innocence lost. One by one he watched the others be hauled away, some docilely and others screaming and fighting. It never went well for those who fought. He watched as they tried different methods of torture on those of his kind, but he managed to keep away from those who came to take them. Do you have any RP examples? She is a loner who although she hated being alone, now prefers it. She does not trust very many now except perhaps Gra’ce and Oracle. They went through a lot together and she will side with them if she really ever does. She would probably watch them from a distance more than approach them. Background: Her parents were gentle and taught her such. They doted on her as their first child. She was going to be the guardian of the area they lived in. She knew the area better than most and because of her strength of heart and body, she was the perfect one for the job. But she was still inexperienced in how to protect against so many. The men were trying to 'tame' her for riding. She was too unruly. They decided to use a sharper bit, punishment. She still refused to conform, pain/abuse only fueled her anger and resolve. The bit ended up cutting all the way up and through. She would 'ruin' herself before she could be used for anything. In the struggles that followed, she killed several, breaking herself free. The others were all killed or sold. They each watched the horrors of the others being killed, skinned, eaten, or sold. The stallion, Gra’ce, lost a lover. The silver girl, Oracle, lost her parents, and the crazy one was left alone while the others around her died. The silver one was being left mostly unscarred/unhurt for her pelt and flesh. The wounds on her neck from fighting were to keep her parents from being sold and slaughtered. The collar was on much too tight and left on too long and resulted in the scarring there. The Stallion began to act up when he saw them start to drag off the silver one to the slaughter house to turn into food. During the fight, one of them used a massive hammer to bash his horn into his skull, breaking it off. Meanwhile, the crazy one that they were trying to tame managed to get free. After killing numerous humans on a 'ride out', she came back for the other two. She returned during the fight, and joined in to free them. The three fled, but the crazy one broke off on her own, not caring what happened to them from then on. She has gone on killing rampages in other villages. The stallion, wounded and barely able to walk, barely escaped to the dense forest with the silver one. Over time, the silver one heals the stallion as best she can. She removes the arrows and bear trap. He is still blind and nearly unable to eat from his wounds, and his horn is still shattered. The silver one is unable to remove the neck harness as it has become embedded into her skin along with the ball and chain. They will stay together a bit, until they can find their way alone. The crazy one may join them sometimes, but she is not entirely stable mentally and may or may not take some out on them.

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Jezbel Soquili name: Pearl Soquili Temper: Reserved Personality: Battered and beaten by her captivity, Pearl bears her emotional scars close to her chest. Somehow, despite everything, she managed to maintain a pure heart. She is not the warrior that her saviors and friends were, but she also isn’t the naïve maiden she once was. Jaded but still desiring to think better of people. It’s this that leads her to help those who she can see are pure hearted. Background: Captured as a child and enslaved for most of her life, Pearl learned to withdraw into herself for her own sanity. (For more please see the plot info) Do you have any RP examples? He carefully assess every situation and tries to predict his opponents moves before they make them. It may seem like it is a game to him but he takes life very seriously. He is always studying the actions of the hunters in order to improve his strategy and turn the hunters own tools against them. He is deeply devoted to his friends and will do anything to protect them, even sacrificing himself for their well being. Tarak would not call himself brave, he only does what he must to win, the groups survival is his reward. Background: Tarak was born to two very different parents. His father was a protector of the herd who was trained in warfare while his mother was a well respected healer. His father taught him how to strategize in war while his mother began to teach him the healing arts. In his youth Tarak made two dear friends who he became nearly inseparable from. With Pearl and Ivory by his side Tarak was never at a loss for fun times but, he still studied hard, hoping to fulfill his mothers dreams of him becoming a great healer one day. When Pearl was captured the bright light that had been his childhood hopes and dreams suddenly went out. He bid goodbye to his parents and devoted himself to his friends. Ivory and Tarak spent many hours in the forest training. He put his energy into perfecting his stealth so he could be as light-footed as possible and leave no traces of his presence. These skills he knew he would need to find and free his friend. While they were away their herd was brutally slaughtered and Tarak was left with the burden of guilt at never having lived up to his mothers expectations. To redeem himself he studied the hunters to improve his own skills and defend his friends from the horrors that the hunters brought to their forest. He hoped his father at least would be proud of him as swore himself to the protection of his friends. Do you have any RP examples? She was focused solely on keeping him alive and safe, which led to training with him. When Pearl came back into her life, a tiny seed of stained innocence returned as well. Her sanity, battered by the death of her herd, became linked to the remaining members from her childhood. She proudly wears the bones of her first victims and kills “Them” indiscriminately. The Plot Between the Trio Backstory: They were a group of friends raised together, who played in the forest as children always under the watchful eyes of the remains of their herd. The trio lived in relative happiness until Pearl was captured. Losing her haunted Tarak and "Ivory" - the later vowing to get her friend back and drafting the former to help. They ran the woods, testing each other, trying to become stealthy and strong so that they could find their friend and protect their herd. However, their training only managed to inspire more interest in their species and brought more two-leggers to the woods. After a brutal raid on their herd, the two found themselves alone. Learning to live on their own while keeping out of sight of the humans did more for their pair's ability than any of their training ever had. One day as the two grazed in the woods they heard shrieks of pain echoing through the trees. Silently they picked their way through roots and underbrush until they gazed upon a horror scene. Hunters gathered around a single pale unicorn, staked to the ground and unable to escape. They men were stabbing and prodding her with spears and swords so that she cried out. After a lifetime of captivity, they'd brought this worn and ravaged female back to the woods as a trap for any unicorns that remained. And it almost worked, but the last pair of free unicorns came up with a plan. Tarak was the fast one, almost ghost like in his movements. It fell to him to distract the hunters and lead as many of them as he could from the captured female. Ivory then came in like a whirlwind, kicking and gouging any humans that remained - though she took on some injuries of her own, they were nothing compared to what the two-legged ones suffered. With the hunters incapacitated, Ivory helped the captured one and together they struggled to a prearranged meeting place with their decoy. But the humans were faster than they had imagined and when the three unicorns came together, all had sustained injuries and were losing strength fast. They baying of hounds, ruthless and almost as savage as their two-legged owners, chased them through the forest. It was out of desperation and exhaustion that they fell into the cold embrace of a rushing river. If they could just keep their heads above water, maybe the hunters would lose their scent. But the water's strength was too much for their injuries, and one by one they began to go under and succumb to darkness. Though one or two had the impression of being carried from beneath, a sense of several bodies keeping them from slipping under the rapids. They woke sometime later on a distant and unknown shore. Fearful of their assailants, the three retreated into a nearby forest. There in a secluded cavern, they rested and recovered. Though the pair soon recognized that the female they had rescued had been their beloved lost pearl, they all mourned the loss of their home, their herd, and the peaceful lives they would never know. Together they worked to protect their new woods, to ensure no two-leggers would ever threaten them again. Blood thirsty Ivory dispatched any hunters foolish enough to get lost in their land. Swift Tarak led them to their doom, either in forms of cleverly disguised traps or Ivory's wrath. Pearl, aloof and uncertain, showed a few creatures that entered their woods pity. If they were pure of heart, and meant no harm to their world, she would act as their unseen guide - keeping them safe from Tarak's spike pits and Ivory's rage until they reached the edge of the woods. Over time they saw fewer and fewer creatures enter their domain and they were content, haunting the forest that was now their home. The Haunted Woods of the Hunted Unicorns- Unicorns escaped old land, but carried fears into this new world - Traveled only by night and found a secluded woods to live in - Remain unseen by living creatures - Even through madness and fear, these three still retain legendary ability to see those pure of heart, guide them safely through the woods - Set traps for the wicked - completely distrust two-leggers - Woods gain reputation for being haunted: Doom upon you if you enter Possible Future Plots:Unicorn Out Reach Program: Some courageous individuals have heard the rumors of a strange band of unicorns living in the woods and set out to meet them. Some may be unicorns hoping to bridge the gap with their fellow horned ones, some may be just kind souls who want to help, some may have more selfish reasons for finding these lost unicorns. One group among the search group could be Soquili and Kawani plagued by serious injury or illness - the unicorns known among the Soquili have not been able to help them, maybe these unknown ones can. And maybe, just maybe, the hunted might reach back to those as scarred as they are. Challenge Among Youths: Think you're brave? Think you're tough? Try to survive a trip through the "haunted" woods! CYOA: Lost in the Haunted Woods Dice rolls could determine if a soul was pure of heart and if the hunted would help them! Payment of Debt Unknown to the unicorns, the merfolk of the river guided them in their watery flight from the hunters. Now these water bound Soquili need their help and the life debt must be repaid. Rescuing the Maiden Fair: Those few who Pearl rescued from her forest spread the word of a beautiful maiden who lived trapped in the evil forest. Only a true hero who was brave of heart could rescue her! Misunderstandings abound, will a “prince” be able to rescue her? Or will her true protectors maintain the solitude of their forest?

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: [Mistress Morbid] Soquili name: Naut'kyn Kestal - Blind Hope Soquili Temper: Naive Personality: Naut'kyn is a sweet, innocent, naive girl with a heart full of hope in others. Her naivity can sometimes get her into trouble. She's always trying to make people smile or cheering them up when they are down. She is usually found with her two closest friends Xantara and Buki Takrome. She may be a little slow on the uptake sometimees, but Naut'kyn brings happiness to those around her. Background: Naut'kyn Kestal was born to two loving parents. However, not all was joyous about the birth. Naut's sibling was stillborn. Her parents, saddened by the lost of one foal, quickly sheltered their now only daughter. Because of her sheltered life, Naut' was often the source of the other foals jokes and teasings. Growing up she would often play by herself, having no one else at the time. As time passed, Naut' soon became friends with Buki and Xantara. The two would stand up to the other foals protecting her from the jokes. As Naut' grew her naivity never left her but the teasing stopped. Her parents still continued to shelter her. Do you have any RP examples? (Links): No Quote: The Hunted Username: ~Twilight...Angel~ Soquili name: Buki Takrome (means bloody shot) Soquili Temper: Tortured Personality: Buki Takrome is a dedicated friend. He doesn't like any kind of ill will or bad thing to fall on anyone and would risk himself to make sure that his friends were safe. He is relativly easy to get along with, but if you hurt someone he loves, or make him angry, you are in for a completely different experience. When irritated or upset, he tends to have a short fuse. This is how the hunt has affect him. He doesn't take no for an answer and is extremely stubborn. However, on the other side of his personality, when he loves you or cares for you, He is the most caring and peaceful creature there is. He loves to nurture others and take care of them. He always keeps his two best friends as close to him as he can. Background: When Buki Takrome was young, he was a very carefree foal. He loved to play with his friends and his parents were the most important thing in the world to him. One day, while he was playing with his friends, he heard screaming and shouting. He ran toward where he heard them from, coming into the clearing where his parents were in time to see them being seperated from the rest, herded into traps. He tried to rush over to help them, wanted to save them, but the other adults ushered him away as fast as they could, not wanting anymore of their herd to dissapear with the two-leggers. After Buki's parents were taken, he was broken for a long time. He barley slept or ate anything. One day, a filly happened to fall down into a hole. He heard the commotion of the other children, who were teasing her. He jumped up, and ran to where she was, not wanting anyone else in the herd to be hurt. Leaping down into the hole with her, he pulled her back up out of the hole, with the help of another young filly. He had found a new purpose in life. To protect those he cared about so that nothing bad ever happened to them like what happened to his parents. As he grows older he gets more protective, not trusting a lot of others or things around him. Although he retains his sweet side to his two best friends, wanting to impress them, he can have a bit of a sarcastic irritated side with some others. Some of the herd has less tolerance with him than most, but he doesn't mind too much. Most accept that his parents loss has affected him deeply, but not nearly as many understand the hurt and suffering as losing someone close to you, nevermind the two most important people in your life. Do you have any RP examples? (Links): Sadly, no... But I intend to RP my little heart out with him if we win xD LOL Quote: The Vengeful Protector Username: sage_the_vampirc_angel Soquili name: Xantara Soquili Temper: Delirious Personality: Xantara is a mentally imbalanced soquili struggling to act as normal as she can. The guilt from the failure to do her family’s job and protect her friend along with the horrors from the hunt that caused her injures along with want and almost need living deep within Xantara to not want to protect to do something else has caused almost a split personality and certainly deep paranoia. Xantara for the most part tends to behave as she normally did before the hunt, being a rule stickler but at the same time a soquili up for fun and mischief. But like a loose light bulb Xantara can flicker at any moment and suddenly go into her protector mode, taking everything and anything as a threat and doing all in her power to destroy it. Background: Xantara grew up in a peaceful herd with her two close friends, her whole life she knew she would likely end up in the family “business”. As a guardian of the herd, while Xantara knew it was important to protect the herd and obey the rule she never wanted to move into the position of being the herd’s protector. While Xantara never truly cut a lesson on how to protect the herd she didn’t pay attention either. As her mother and father spoke to her and her siblings on the signs for danger or how to fight Xantara dreamed of a life doing anything else. When she was not stuck in lessons Xantara spent her time with her two best friends having as much fun as they could as they grew older together. As time passed and her siblings took over the job of being the herd’s protectors Xantara began to forget some of the most basic and most important rules of protecting the herd from hunters or other threats. Then one faithful day while Xantara was wandering the herd’s lands she noticed that her good friend Naut’s parents were looking for her. Knowing that Naut often played by herself in an open field on the far side of the forest that was along the west side of the herd lands. Turning she headed to the field, when she reached it she knew instantly something was wrong. Trying her best to recall her protector lessons Xantara tracked her friend and hunters who had captured her to the hunters’ resting area. Frightened for her innocent and well sometimes really naïve friend Xantara charge in to the rescue determined to protect her friend…. That day and the actions she took in those fateful moments will live on to forever haunt and shape Xantara’s future. Do you have any RP examples? (Links): Meeting Dinner? The basic story behind it is that Naut'kyn is playing around one day, when she loses her footing and falls into a hole. Instead of any other's helping her out, they laugh at her and tease her. This is what rouses Buki and Xantara to come and help her, saving her from the hole. Buki's Parents: This is where Naut'kyn and Xantara learn about Buki's parents being taken and try to help him through it. This is where they learn to care about each other a bit more and Buki comes back out of his seclusion and back into the world. Naut'kyn's Protection: This is where Buki and Xantara have had just about enough of all the other children teasing Naut'kyn over who she is. They stand up for her and tell the other children to stop until they finally give in and leave her alone. Xantara's Tough Decisions: This is where Buki and Naut'kyn try and help Xantara learn her calling in life. She is weary of learning and being a part of the family business and, knowing this, they try and help her figure out what she does want to do with her talents and her life. After The HuntAfter The Hunt: This is all about what happens to the three friends *after* the hunting. The three friends are moving away from their herd as to protect the rest of them, and it being a law of the herd to not endanger the rest when you are found. They are going around looking for a new place to call home and a place to start their new lives away from the herd. Finding A Place: This is about the three moving through various unicorn herds and trying to figure out where they belong in the world. Most herds simply ask them to leave, not accepting them as the damaged goods they are, while other ignore them completely, not wanting to sully their untainted ranks. They continue to move... hoping they find their place. More plots to come if we win for sure :3 <3

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: Syaoran-Puu Soquili name: Elpis ("Hope" in Ancient Greek) Soquili Temper: Trouble Personality: Elpis may look delicate and pretty but in her heart she is a strong as any warrior. Most of the time she doesn't demonstrate caution for her own life, and would gladly run into any situation either for a taste of adventure or to save someone else -even a Kalona. Unlike her sister (The Vengeful Protector) she enjoys being around others, though after her attack and near escape from death she tends to only seek out the company of other soquili, especially other unicorns. Elpis doesn't have a cruel bone in her body, and she can never grasp the idea of anyone wanting or needing to do harm to another. She will weep over the pain of others but not for herself, which is why she tries so hard to keep her siblings happy after their traumatic experience. Elpis still has nightmares about the attack, and wakes up in a pool of sweat with tears running down her face, but the part she remembers most of all is the fear she felt when her "siblings" finally found her... She can be trouble at times, often wandering and getting herself stuck in situations that she probably shouldn't have got involved in. She is curious to the core, and likes to understand the 'how' and 'why' of things. Elpis will ask lots of questions to get the answers she wants, and if you get her talking on a topic she enjoys it can often be difficult to shut her up. She will listen to the problems or stories of others quite happily as she rather enjoys 'healing' those around her in such a way. Since the attack she often restrains from using her unicorn healing ability, unless it is to secretly heal the wounds of those her sister has injured in order to make them stay. Background: Elpis is the youngest of the trio, born under the protectiveness of her sister. As a foal she often got herself stuck in dark rabbit holes as she tried to follow them home, or got lost in dark caves or vast forests because she felt so secure in her life. She would make jokes, and do silly tricks in an effort to cheer her sibling up, and wherever they went she always wanted to follow -with her tail wagging behind her. All in all, life was happiness and joy. This changed though when her sister went missing, the distress was instant and strong and she couldn't help but beg her pseudo-brother (The Hunted) to help her look for her. While in pursuit of the trail they were ambushed, Elpis wasn't strong enough or quick enough... and as a cold iron collar was strapped around her neck she panicked, begging her brother to run, to find their sister and find a safe place to hide. After what felt like a life time, and countless escape attempts she gave up hope. In her 'cell' she would sing her favorite song from their child hood: A long time ago, when the Earth was green, There was more kinds of animals than you've ever seen, They'd run around free while the Earth was being born, And the loveliest of all was the unicorn. There was green alligators and long-necked geese, Some humpty backed camels and some chimpanzees, Some cats and rats and elephants, but sure as you're born, The loveliest of all was the unicorn. With a heavy heart she never believed she would ever escape her captors. The day of her death arrived, the instruments in place to save the 'tribe leader' who had been poisons by a rival tribe. They had heard a rumor that the same poison placed within the skin a unicorn and drunk would bring no harm to the drinker, but instead cure them of all aliments due to the magical qualities of the breed. Elpis didn't know if this was true... and she didn't want to find out. The blade was drawn. She screwed up her eyes. Held her breath. And waited.... waited for her world to end. Instead of the clash of cold metal in flesh she heard something far more disturbing.... wails and screams, frantic cries and pleas to Gods she had never even heard of. Glancing out she saw the carnage her siblings had wrought in her honor. She did not question them, did not even feel sorry for those who had abused her so... no... she ran, or as best as she could with a metal ball and chain tied around her leg. She has yet to find someone who can remove her metal bonds, and if she moves her rear leg or neck too much or quickly she rips open the wounds once more... perhaps one day she will trust a two-legger enough to have herself freed of her captors forever. He felt himself above the other stallions, though this arrogance did not extend to his relationships with females. He loved his little sister dearly, and his life was molded around her: he protected her, watched over her; his parents indulged their son in this near-parental obsession, for they saw his interest in raising her as a sign of his leadership qualities. Her health was what he used to define his own success; her tears tore him apart. He could not imagine his existence without her, for she had become as integral to his being as breathing. He tried to morph into whatever she most needed at the time, whether it be a source of comedic relief, someone to play with, or a discussion partner (though try as he might, he could never quite grasp the subtle nuances of philosophy. A strong and sturdy shoulder to rely upon, he was confident in his ability to keep her safe and sound. And that was all that mattered to him. After his sister's death:Broken and distraught, he is no longer so bold. He pauses before rushing headlong into any situation, flinching with the memory of his grim failure. His foundation shaken, he feels constantly unstable and is no longer so sure of himself. Now mourning defines his existence; he wavers between sadness and dismay, not quite caring about what is going on around him- merely seeking to survive, his memories punishment for letting Her down. When he is particularly upset, he hallucinates her presence- though that hopeful image is soon torn asunder by recollection of his sister's final tears. He sees glimpses of her in all females, and would prefer to spend time in the company of males were it not for his inability to tear himself away from the comfort of a female voice. Crippled by this fear of failing anyone else, even through the slow healing from his presence with the sisters and their growing bonds, sparse moments of rash arrogance still surface at the most inopportune of times... Background: His character development shifted when a traumatic event scarred him for life. She was the light of his world... and he let her down. His little sister, caught in a hunter's trap, lay just beyond his reach- a few steps further, and he would have had her! Had he not been caught himself. He had recognized her screams on the wind and barreled to her rescue, only to be ensnared by identical traps that lay a few paces in front. The Hunters had grown tired of cunning and stealth, and wanted more Unicorns now. They had ridden the forest with bear-traps, seeking to immobilize their prey and catch any who tried to come to the fallen's aid. The siblings faced each other during what they thought were their final hours. He struggled to free himself, though his efforts were for naught: his sister bled out while he was still trying to his limb in the hopes that he could somehow free her without damaging her and allow her to escape. He was rescued by a band of rogue humans who recognized the insanity of the Nobility and valued living Unicorns above corpses. Though they risked their own lives in doing so, they freed the stallion from the Hunter's traps and tried to tend his wounds. Neither his leg nor his heart ever fully recovered. He had done a damned good job on the leg and had damaged his tendons and muscle tissue before the light faded from his sister's eyes for good. His heart was wounded beyond repair, and he fled from his homelands in search of some solace (though he did not deserve even that much.) He could not face his family, and vowed never to forget his inadequacy. Upon encountering a female of his own kind, whose resemblance to his sister brought pain as well as some bitter solace, he begins to care for someone outside his direct bloodline. Hesitant to allow himself to admit his feelings, he lingers near for no better reason than that he enjoyed the melodies of their voices... he betrayed his Sister's flesh, he does not wish to betray the memory of her spirit by calling another his "Sister." And this mare already had a sibling, a sister whose beauty matched her own. Shea hesitates to let himself feel too strongly for either mare, terrified that he would curse them with ill luck, trying to distance himself from their overtures... but fate wins out, and as time passes he begins to see them as Family. After Kallisto vanishes, Shea willingly joins Elpis on her search for the sweet mare. The duo is ambushed by hunters. The arrows that embed his flesh only moments later were a cruel stab that mirrored the pain in his heart and clouded his mind. Elpis tells him to run, and anguish strangles his response: "I'll come back for you!" He runs only for the wild hope that, if he is free, he might gather strength to free them both....He had failed again! He stumbles across Kallisto, mentally unstable and scarred but appearing well, while trying to escape his own mind. Hopeful that, perhaps, together they would not fail, the pair sets out on mission to rescue young Elpis. They save Elpis from her captors (due to chance or luck, their recklessness overwhelming the careful hunters,) but can't remove the wide-banded collar around her neck or the ball and chain from around her dainty leg. The trio sets out to start a new life, haunted by the past and yet soothed by eachother's presence. Do you have any RP examples? (Links):FRIEND!!!!!!!- a rather humorous encounter between two stallions Weary traveller- between two stallions again Home- my Teepee Quote: The Vengeful Protector Username: II--Gen3sis--II Soquili name: Kallisto (Ancient Greek for “the most beautiful”) Soquili Temper: Unstable Personality: Like her tempter, Kallisto is extremely unstable. To her she’s exact opposite of her namesake “the most beautiful.” She knew she used to be beautiful, used to be pure, but now she’s scarred and downright obsessive about getting back at all those who hurt her and made her this way. When one meets her she will either outright attack them, or pretend they’re not there. Most of the time if one is careful enough they can slip by unnoticed. Kallisto has a habit of quiet mutterings, most of which, when they can be overheard, are full of hate and ways to cause pain. Her obsessive behavior is extended towards all Unicorns, mostly her two other partners. If they’re not in her sight for an extended period of time she’ll become very irate and prone to lashing out at anything and everything in her path. Her obsessive nature also makes her prone to collecting. If she finds a soquili who has a horn she’ll almost become like a stalker, following and trying to corral said soquili for herself. This is especially true for pure unicorns. They are her’s and her’s alone. Nobody else is allowed to have them. If Kaallisto can’t have them she will most often try to attack and injure them enough to be required to stay for a period of time. If in the end they don’t be prepared, she doesn’t like rejection. A soquili’s only warning to her presence is her muttering and the dragging of the metal hook on her tail along the ground. Background: Kallisto used to be a sweet, nurturing, beautiful white unicorn who actually liked to be around others, especially foals. There was always a serene look on her face and smile to match. On a normal basis she would go around murmuring words of encouragement to the trees and flowers of her home. She was happy, unafraid, and calm enough to help provide companionship to those who needed it, even humans. She knew of the inherent dangers that lurked within the human cities, but those humans she did meet always seemed to be nice and caring towards her. Most of the time the humans she did meet were young children playing just outside the forest line, a place she knew not to tread regardless of who was there. There was one such case of a small child wandering about and had the unfortunate experience of getting lost and hurt in the woods in which she lived. Being the kind mare she was she came to the child and tended to the wound, which, upon healing, then lead the child out into the opening again. The child’s mother was frantically searching and was overjoyed when she saw the child come out of the woods. However the mother froze and stared long and hard at the unicorn. What Kallisto didn’t know was that the child’s family was very poor and looking for any way to get money to support themselves. A few days passed without any changes, Kallisto would continue her wanderings with little worries. One night that changed, the night would bring terrors that Kallisto only dreamt about. The hunters ambushed her in the middle of the night, arrows blazed her haunches and traps dug deep into her legs. She tried to escape but she was weighed down by the hands and legs of the hunters. They tore into her flesh with their bloody knives. She could feel every single stab and tear as they tried to pull off her pelt while she was still alive. At one point she went to bite one hunter and had a knife plunge deep into face, her once happy smile stretched to a horrific abomination that would forever scar her and never fully heal. Her cries of pain became increasingly distressed and psychotic sounding. Her teeth at another point dug into a third hunters forearm. In retaliation the hunter threw dirt into her eyes, effectively blinding her. From the blood loss her struggling began to cease and she swore it was her end. The last sounds she heard and the last images she saw were arrows flying and piercing into the hunters bodies and the yelling of some other humans. When Kallisto awoke she was forever changed, the humans who save her did their best to stitch her up to help the healing process. They did not come near her for the fear of retaliation, but someone did leave her food nearby for her to each three to four times a day. They did not stop her when she was finally on her feet, nor did they stop her when she decided to leave their camp. She did see that they offered her some protection until they were out of her homelands and onwards, stopping at the border once they knew she’d be safe. The once serene mare was gone, only to be left with a husk of her former self. She soon stumbles across Shea without her younger sister. He is severely injured as well, almost as much as her, and she is angry, very angry that her sister is not with them. Despite the fact that Kallisto is angry at the stallion, and dealing with the tempting idea to tear his throat out, they come together to find the young Elpis. Between the two of them the search becomes constant, obsessive, and a continuous reminder that the humans are the ones that did this to them, that they’re the ones who are bad and who deserve to be punished. By some random chance, or luck as some would call it, they find the mare and escape fully. Mentally gone once again, Kallisto keeps an obsessive and protective eye on her two charges, ready to kill anything that stands in their way. Do you have any RP examples? (Links): Friends?Meeting and Appealing ProposalFinal HoursMorning BluesA Losing Battle The Plot Between the Trio Outline::Kallisto and Elpis are siblings, both of their names derived from the Ancient greek -as was the custom for their family line- they used to be so happy within their lives.Shea falls into a trap, and although he bravely tries to save his sister he is unable to. Instead he watched her die. This haunts him.Shea one day meets Elpis, and due to her resemblance to the sister he lost and her kind nature they grow close, but more like brother and sister. Elpis treats him as family and Kallisto also accepts him as such.A tribe leader is poisoned by a rival, and they hear of a legend where the same poison placed within a pure unicorns skin and drunk cures the drinker. Kallisto gets attacked, manages to escape but can't get home to her 'siblings'.Eplis starts to worry, and convinces Shea to join in her search for Kallisto. While they are looking they get attacked. Eplis begs Shea to run, to save himself as she can't live with the idea of them both dying and no one ever finding Kallisto. She is captured, Shea's body gets ripped to shreds by arrows as he flees.Shea feels like he has failed again, and as he wanders he finds Kallisto. Together they return to find Elpis... just in time to save her life before the ritual.Together they all escape the land they had called home for so long.... Between Kallisto and Elpis:: Bonding Issues: Sometimes Elpis feels a little crowded by Kallisto, especially since her older sister often gets agitated and upset whenever she can not see her and Shea. Elpis pushes the boundaries sometimes, wandering off to explore on her own and to meet others before her sister can attack them for getting too close... In the end, Kallisto chances upon Elpis talking to a Soquili she has befriended and attacks, causing Elpis to get mad and shout at her sister. What happens next is down to the RP! Girl Talk: Elpis opens up to her sister, explaining how she doesn't feel beautiful anymore... and how a part of her longs to find someone she can trust completely outside of her siblings. Since Kallisto doesn't trust anyone she doesn't really grasp Elpis's wish, and the resulting conversation makes Elpis question her own mind. Would it truly be best to never trust anyone? Between Elpis and Shea:: Freedom to Love: Natural attraction due to circumstance (and on the behalf of the still-mourning stallion, shared visages) lead to tender feelings such as one may feel for a favorite sibling, that will some day mature into a loving bond. Shea becomes obsessed with severing the iron-cast reminder of his past failures from her, and will seek out assistance (he can't do it himself, but damned if he can't find someone who can!) Older "Brother's" Unlikely Wisdom: After beginning to question her own mind, Elpis seeks a second opinion from the stallion she's come to care for. She values his opinion, despite that fact that she knows he's not exactly the smartest Soquili around. Shea weighs in that putting your trust in the wrong individual can end your life, or at the very least leave you betrayed and downtrodden: It is important to trust wisely, not to put one's trust in all. I can't fail.... again...!:: Shea is determined to find a way to release Eplis from her iron clad bonds, as they are a constant reminder that he had been forced to leave her to be captured... and freeing her is the only way he will feel slightly better about his failure. Shea especially hates that the iron bonds rub into Eplis's flesh, causing blood to taint her otherwise pure pelt. Between Shea and Kallisto:: Discussion: As the trio is beginning to recover from their traumas and behave as a family, Kallisto approaches Shea in regards to his... questionable... intentions. In a moment of rare lucidity, Kallisto questions his happiness with their little trio. The stallion had managed to worm his way into her heart as a brother and confidant; she did not wish to press where she was not welcome. His re-assurance leads her to confide that her "family" are the only ones keeping her sanity in tact, preventing her from giving up on life and falling off the nearest cliff-face. Almost as an afterthought but with solemn force, she warns him that he’ll have to go through her first if he ever seeks to express more than brotherly love for her sister. The troubled mare loves them both dearly, but her protective instinct outweighs her tender affection for the stallion. Between the Trio:: Old wounds reopened...: While the trio are wandering, they stumble across a Skinwalker attacking a small soquili for their lunch. This stirs up unwanted memories for them all, and Kallisto storms into the situation and attacks. At first Elpis shies away, fear of being trapped bombarding her, while Shea gathers blind courage and charges ahead, fear of failure spurning him on. Their combined might proved sufficient to convince the Skinwalker that the insubstantial meal wasn't worth the trouble; the small creature was more of a toy for the large predator in any case, and so it merely walked/strolled/fled-but-not-really-scared-away. They all agreed that this would never have happened had they not been united. They vow to always have each other's backs- no matter what. Part 1: What are you?: One evening, while they are resting and enjoying the peace of the world, a passing Cerynei wanders towards them. Instantly they see some similarities... the ears and the hooves! Fear overwhelms them and they flee, but eventually curiosity gets the better of them and they begin to wonder if they are true pure unicorns or not. They start to question the stories they were told as children and realize that their mother never actually told them about their father... was he a Cerynei? Despite how they may feel for each other now, Shea is not a true brother- he was of the same breed, of course, but weren't the similarities a little too much to be passed off as pure chance? Did their bloodline and that of these creatures stem from common threads? Part 2: The truth: The trio go in search of someone who had been rumored to have come to these lands many years ago in fear of hunters, someone who had known the sister's mother prior to her death. Their main goal; To learn the truth! Are they really part Cerynei? In the chance that they are of mixed blood, they feel even more jaded towards the world. It would mean their traumatic past had all been for nothing! They would have been prosecuted for their blood, which if the stories were true would not be as pure and not posses the same magical properties, hunted under false assumptions based on looks alone. This may make all 3 hesitant to judge OTHERS based on their appearance... even if they are still too wary to trust fully without hesitation... For the win: As the trio sets out to seek the truth, Shea's quest for self-absolution and re-definition of his past misdeeds begins. He seeks penance for his past short-comings, some way to prove to himself that he is worthwhile. This is a journey that runs parallel to their daily lives, a road traversed within his own mind. Though he may someday seek tangible evidence of his sought-after "Winning" nature, some prize to look at and say "This proves I do not fail," for now it is enough that he seeks acceptance of his own blunders. Time heals most wounds: Each holds their open wounds, some visible and some hidden. Although they are forever changed by their experience, their venture to the new land has provided them with some time to heal... and every now and then some of their old quirks come into effect: Elpis will pull stunts and tell jokes to make her sibling laugh, Shea will show flickers arrogance that wins out over brains time and again, and Kallisto will keep an encouraging yet obsessive eye on them both. This roleplay will come to show how the sisters have changed, but deep down they will always have the bond formed at birth... and the bonds of time that give them the brother they've always wanted. Reaching the Breaking Point: Kallisto's protective nature causes her to lash out at a well-meaning animal. The provocation was naught more than the poor animal's curiosity of the strange creatures so near its burrow, an inquisitiveness that lead it to wander a little too close... this produced a violent reaction in the mare that prompted unease in the hearts of her constant companions. Troubled by her state of mind, shocked by her actions, the others are united by their mutual concern. There never was a story of so much woe, Than that of Elpis, Shea and Kallisto...
Three sides of a magnificent triangle that houses the greatest of treasures: Companionship, love, devotion...
Life can fling what it will at these three; united, they will stand strong.

Horror of the Horrorcorns Quote: The Captured Username: musicaloner7 Soquili name: Fleur Soquili Temper: Innocent Personality: Fleur is a sweet, caring, gentle, softspoken, princess. She's always seen with a soft smile on her face, and more than willing to go out of her way for another. There is a balance of outgoiningness, and shyness for her, thought the scale can tip from time to time, just depending on who she's around, or the conditions of the time and place. The epitome of innocence. She is also very much willing to 'take one for the team'. She'll sacrifice her own self for the great of the good, with no questions asked. With the recent turn of events though... she's become quite withdrawn, hesitant, and unsure. Background: Fleur was a princess in a herd of unicorn's, before she'd been captured. She was loved by those who her royal family looked over, and visited the various family's often. The royal's were fair, and always did what was best for the grand herd. Fleur learned very good mannerisms, and traits from this, thus becoming the kind thing she is today. The herd was happy, and thriving, even if they held a moderate size of inhabitants. Humans had never found nor touched the sacred creatures in any of their life times... until on a clear night, when the moon and stars were bright, a pack of human hunters had roamed into the unknown territory. Having lived such a life of tranquility, the unicorn's were uncertain just how to react to such company. That quickly changed to panic and fear however as they were instantly captured, attacked, invaded. A strong stallion who was to protect the young highness did his best to keep the greed men at bay... but in the mass chaos, Fleur's entire herd starting to get separated, the Princess was captured with a thick rope around her neck. It tore into her soft pelt, and against the tender skin, yanked roughly away with cheers of victory from the heartless men. Despite her attempts to break free, she was swiftly taken away from the rest of her family, a strip of cloth secured around her eyes to prevent any source of sight.. She certainly could hear the distressed cry's of her herd though as she was tugged away.. Do you have any RP examples? He would risk his own life to save her. A very loyal stallion to his word and one that never strayed away from honorable things until he lost his horn. Now he is a little on the mellow side. He is very cautious and wary of humans. He more then likely won’t go anywhere near humans due to what was done to him. He will be cautious around other Soq as well since his trust level will be pretty non-existent. Though deep down he still retains that loyal, faithful, trust-worthy nature that wasn’t killed off by the events that pained him so much. Background: Calamity was once one of the protectors of the princess Fleur in his herd. He rarely let his eyes stray off her since to him it’s like failing his duties if he did so. When the princess went missing, he panicked a little bit and went on his search for her alone. He didn’t think he would need help and didn’t know unicorn hunters took her. That honestly was the last thing on his mind. As he searched high and low for her, he was ambushed one afternoon by the same group of hunters that took Fleur. He didn’t know who they were at first and did his best to put up a fight. Though it was in vain and he was knocked out cold not realizing how badly he had been injured. When he awoke he felt pain and looked around his new home. A 12 x 12 steel cage surrounded him and he felt some liquid trickling down his muzzle. He saw the arrows in his side and knew right then and there the extent of his injuries. He coughed up blood where it eventually stained his lips and down his chin. He never had a chance to wash it off. Never had a chance to heal the scars and forget the wounds that pained his body so much. During one of the hunts, he was met with a mare named Fleur. She spoke to him about a possible escape, but she didn’t know how it would take place and he remembered her from his old herd. During that time, he got his foot caught in a bear claw that remains stuck on his foot still, which only causes him to limp slightly when he puts any pressure on that leg. He gave his life and soul into protecting the princess. When she was taken away from the herd, he felt a part of him died that day. He hopes to one day reclaim that part of himself once he become free of the torment he faces every single day. Do you have any RP examples? Stability is something she desires within her life, yet she fears that it's too late for her to reclaim any sense of it within her life. Hate fills her at just the thought of humans, uni hunters or not, they're all vile to her. She knows that this hate is not healthy, and that it's lead her away from the path of the healer that unis are meant to walk. A path that Jazlyn believes she is incapable of walking now. She yearns for what she lost, and would give everything to have it all back. To be the kind of mare that enjoys stopping to sniff the flowers or flirting with a stallion. She believes that mare is gone forever though, and never coming back. Background: Jazlyn grew up within the same herd as Calamity and Fleur, and while she could have told you their names if asked, they were strangers to her. Jazlyn spent her foal hood chasing butterflies and gossiping with her gal pals, namely Flutter Lily, who she was sure would be her best friend forever. They picked flowers together. They shared all of their secrets with each other. And they did what most young girls do together, they talked about boys. When one say Jazlyn, Flutter Lily would not be far behind. They were truly inseparable. One day, when Jazlyn was at the cusp of adulthood, Flutter Lily wished to treat her friend to something special. With promises of a meadow filled with colorful butterflies and flowers, Flutter Lily lead Jazlyn away from her home. The trip was filled with laughter, and sunshine. It seemed like it would be the perfect day. Jazlyn could not remember what happened next. One moment they were walking, the next moment, the world had gone dark, her head hurt, and Flutter Lily was gone. Cold chains kept her from moving, so all she could do was wait. They came, the two legged creatures she'd heard of. Her parents called them humans. They would poke her, and break her skin. All she could do was watch as her blood dribbled into a bowl. When finished, the humans would laugh at her, and then leave. Time became something of little important. She had no way of keeping track of it, and often wondered if time still passed at all. Chains that had once been tight began to loosen around her thinning body. Food was not something she received on a regular basis. One night, when the human's camp had gone particularly quiet, Jazlyn got the urge to move. As she climbed to her feet, the chains slipped from her thin body. On shaky legs, she pushed aside the flap door to her prison and emerged out into the world, startling two humans. They appeared to be playing some sort of game, and between the two rested something Jazlyn could not mistake. The horn from her precious friend. Rage consumed her, and then she stained the night red. The following day, Jazlyn buried the horn of Flutter Lily. The only remains of her friend that she could find. Hate enveloped her heart, and no tears would fall. Determined to not let this happen to others, Jazlyn left her friend's grave to step on her new path. The jaw bones of those two humans bumping against her front legs with step. The kindly Fleur is determined to try and bring Jazlyn back to the path of healing though soft nudges and kind words. Bonds of Sisterhood: Fleur and Jazlyn begin to develop a strong bond over time. Both mares have been through things that others wouldn't understand. And Calamity, well he's stallion. Sometimes you just need that close gal pal that you can call sister. Jazlyn once had one, and she sure misses the feeling. Calamity and Jazlyn:Calmity will have Jazlyn there to train him in the way of a warrior. He lost his in-ability to even fight after everything that happened. Now he wants to learn more then ever, but his feelings are shifted so he isn’t afraid to hurt anything anymore. He will learn everything from her and learn how to protect the princess once they escape. Calamity, Jazlyn, and Fleur:During one of the hunts, Calamity will lure the hunters into a dark part of the forest one evening. He would bring them right to the spot where Jazlyn was waiting in hiding. She will kill them in a complete brutal nature before they go back to the camp to rescue the princess. With most of the hunters being out hunting Calamity, it would be a easy escape. Jazlyn would kill off whatever hunters were left and there would only be a few before finally escaping away from the place with Fleur with the two of them. Calamity and Fleur:Fleur and Calamity will be traveling together a lot without Calamity leaving the princess' side. He doesn't believe that he will ever leave her side again so this will be a plot where he will find out more about her. He never had the chance to speak with her or her to him, but this time he will have the chance. It would spark a friendship or possibly more depending on how it goes? After all he wants to be a knight that she can rely on. Solo (Jazlyn):Making Peace: Since burying her friend's horn, Jazny hasn't returned to the grave out of uncertainty about what might happen. With the support of her new found friends and comrades, Jazny will return to the place where her nightmare began and seek to find some form of closure that may allow her at least a small amount of peace. Solo (Calamity):Tears Of BloodCalamity will have trouble adapting to a life outside of being abused by humans. He won’t trust a human ever again and their might be issues with him trusting a Soq as well. Even though they did him no harm, the trust part of himself is broken. Guidance and understanding is something that he will need. It could be a mentor? An eventual good friend? Or even someone that is looking to learn from the events that happened to him? It’s pretty open and he wants to learn and would love anyone else that wants to learn as well. A New Beginning..Calamity hadn’t really gotten over the events that scarred him very deeply. He had never forgotten about how he was treated and even though he was shown care and love from the two that were also in the horrible events with him. He still is wary of others. In general, he needs a new story to tell others. A new chapter in his life and someone that he could trust. A good friend or a traveling buddy that could join their herd since they don’t keep in touch with the others from their original herd. So they are beginning their own. He might be wary at first, but probably after a long period of talking and getting to know one another he would open up. Can I Still Heal?Calamity lost most of his horn thanks to the hunters. He could heal really well before he lost it, but now he isn’t so sure. He hasn’t tried and more then that he is afraid it would do harm instead of good. If there is someone out there that suffers from the same problem or can guide him on the matter I think it will help him a lot. He is very cautious now and will want to know that it’s alright to either heal or not be able to use his powers anymore. Moving On Calamity doesn’t like that he lost his horn. He will get help from Fleur and Jazlyn in showing him how to cope with his lost. Whether he will be able to use it again or not depends on how well he is going to work at using it.
