She was laying lazily in the trees, as she normally did during the days. It was easier this way to keep an eye over 'her' jungles and forests without being bothered with trivial nonsense. She yawned wide, the sounds of her head-dress and torque clinked softly. Her massive tail and mane easily flowed over the branches, helping her blend in along with her feathers and cat-like markings. For a stocky horse she was actually rather light and agile. Her eyes closed as she just soaked in the sun's warmth. She could hear the flow of a river and waterfall nearby. Today seemed like it would rather uneventful, which was completely fine by her.

User ImageAleshanee smiled in absolute glee as she soared through the skies with her newly found companion clinging onto her back, but mostly clinging to her hair. She was amused by his antics, knowing he could easily fly if he wanted. At least, that's what she thought. His pleading and cries reached her ears and immediately felt guilty. She didn't want to frighten him at all. Slowly, the mare descended down on the ground where her companion jumped off her back and kissed the earth beneath them, muttering his love for the ground.

The wolpertinger did not realize the apologetic look of his quiet companion until he looked up into her eyes. "I'm sorry! I know you didn't mean to scare me. It was actually fun!" He grinned ear to ear, jumping back onto his pale companion's back. "It was just a bit too high for me. If I dropped from the height we were at, I would be as flat as a pancake!" He chattered away quickly, pawing at the mare's downy soft hair. The angeni's mare's face relaxed and brightened. It was a relief to hear that her companion was not too frightened. She had just befriended him recently and did not want to lose a friendship so quickly, just because she decided to have a little fun.

Taking a glance around, she tried to decipher where they had landed. The area was forested and gorgeous. Her eyes took in the scenery before she let her other senses explore the area. Her ears perked up and heard the unmistakable sounds of a river and a waterfall not too far from their current position. Taking light steps on her cloven hooves, she moved towards the noise of running water. She could hear the faint buzzing of her companion asking her where they were off to, but she could not reply back, which the wolpertinger should have known. He should be using his own floppy ears to decipher where they were headed.

Her keen eyes caught a movement against the sky and trees, because of the other mare's pale colors she almost blended in seamlessly into the sky. Had she not started to lower down and land in the forest Xochi would have never noticed. However at the sight of something landing in 'her' forest, she sat up quickly. Her ears moved, listening intently. Hm... whatever it was, it better not be here to cause problems, and whatever it was, it better not be here long...

The mare got up, flexing her wings entirely as they popped lightly from resting so long, before she took to flight to investigate. She landed a bit away in the trees above the two. Snorting at seeing another Angeni she felt herself getting rather possessive, she knew that others had powers... and she had chased a couple off before looking to claim her territory and domain as her own.

She finally called down from her perch, her voice strong, tho it carried a thick accent of her native tongue. 'It would be wise to keep moving, stranger.'

Aleshanee did not notice anyone in the area because she was more focused on finding the source of water. The mare did not have a good sense of awareness for her surroundings, making her an easy target for predators. One of her wings had recently been damaged and dislocated from an attack by a skinwalker, but she had found help to mend it. Her feathers had grown back without any indication of damage to her wing.

Hearing a strong voice behind her, she tensed up. Her lively gray eyes showed hints of fear and confusion. She searched for the source of the voice on the forest flow, but didn't realize that the voice came from a beautiful mare perched on a branch. Her ears flicked back, and bowed her head. She was headed out of the area anyways, and didn't want to cause unnecessary trouble. As much as she was curious of the mare, she could tell that the mare didn't want her there. The thought of this saddened her. Why would the mare want her to keep walking? Or was she protecting her in some way from a danger? She didn't know.

Isi perked up hearing the accented voice. He was quicker to find the voice than his quiet companion, and fiercely looked at her with his ice blue eyes. "We were on our way!" He snorted. "We have every right to walk these lands as you do." He said, not knowing that the area was the angeni's acclaimed territory.

The submissive nature of Ales only made Xochi come off all the stronger. She snorted a bit as it seemed the mare got the hint and was heading out. It was the smaller voice of her companion that would draw her attention next. Her eyes and head darted to look at him and she growled low. For a moment she had to stop herself from flying down and dealing with him personally, that seemed a bit overkill so she just stayed where she was for now.

'Silly little creature... you dont know much about our ways do you,' she almost spat. 'Now move along before I do something that might make you cry....'. Perhaps it sounded like an empty threat, would she really hurt another... especially one so small? Probably not.. well not too horribly.

'And if your mare there had an issue, she can speak up for herself!'

Aleshanee was severely confused why the mare was acting like this, or why their presence was so unwanted. Her ears perked, hearing the mare fly down to a lower branch. Apparently, she was not pleased with the way that Isi was talking to her. Shaking her head, she nudged the wolpertinger with her hoof as if it was an indication for him to stop, lest the other mare attack him. She did not want him to get hurt, and would step in to protect him with her own body. She would prefer to avoid the altercation, and to that, she needed Isi to be quiet.

Her light kick shut her companion up for a brief moment, as she turned her body back to the colorful angeni mare and bowed her head in apology for intruding in whatever made the mare displeased with their presence. She turned back around, ignoring the mare's words, seeing that she would preferring to just leave the area all together.

Isi was a bit miffed that Aleshanee kicked him, but now, he had some clue as to why. His eyes peered up to the mare, and shook his head. "No, I am not, but I just figured we had the same rights as you." He rolled his eyes as he climbed onto Aleshanee's back between her two pairs of wings. "We're on our way." He muttered.

He continued to look at her from Aleshanee's back. "She knows better than to start something pointless. It also doesn't help that she cannot speak." He rolled his eyes again. "What exactly makes this place all that special that makes you want us out of here anyways?" He asked curiously, wanting to know why before they left the forest completely.

Her eyes kept trained on the two, narrowed easily as she sniffed the air a bit more. She was annoyed that the mare wouldnt speak for herself and that her lowly little 'pet' spoke in her place. Her ears moved a bit when he mentioned that she couldnt speak, and soon her curious nature got the better of her. It wasnt often that she ever got any visitors to begin with, but not able to speak?

She fell quiet, her lips pressed in a flat line before she demanded an explanation. 'Why cant she speak,' her tone hinted that she was more demanding an answer than asking. It would be hard to know if it were simply because she were nosy or if she were just concerned.

Isi looked at the brightly colored angeni then to the angeni that took him under his wing. He shook his head. "I don't know. Let's just say we play a lot of charades, and let's say I'm not the best at it. All I know is that for the duration that I've known her, the only time I heard her make a noise was the soft snoring when she sleeps, and that's not even consciously made or considered a noise that you could understand." The wolpertinger ran a paw through the fur on top of his head. "Honestly, that's all I can tell you."

Aleshanee glanced back to the mare, seeing that she was a bit less hostile as she had originally been. She was surprised that a mare of the same breed would be like... this. It was quite odd, since she usually held such high regard for other angeni, especially the angeni that had saved her from a skinwalker.

The mare showed her nervousness and apprehension around the mare. Her ears flicked back, and her brows furrowed together. His eyes looked at the mare with such vulnerability. She was nervous enough to nibble on her bottom lip. If Isi didn't know about her reasons, then how could she even explain. The mare shook her head, finding that the only way to respond to the mare.

Xochi was listening less to the rabbit and paying more attention to the mute angeni in front of her. Her ears moved a bit as she started to sniff the air around her, walking around her as well to get a better look, as if she would find something hidden that would answer any questions she had.

It was when she came to the front again, facing Ales, seeing her troubled expressions that she kept quiet and simply nodded. She was growing a distaste for the rabbit easily and wanted nothing more than to simply step on him to quiet the cocky, long-winded thing, but it seemed to be the only way other than expressions, that Ales could communicate.

'So... why are you here?' she asked, 'What are you looking for...'

Isi looked a little miffed that he was basically being ignored by the colorful angeni mare. It didn't matter though. She didn't seem to have that stick lodged up her butt anymore, or have that threatening air about her when it came to speaking. Sliding down Aleshanee's neck, he nestled in between her set of wings and curled up to take a nap.

Aleshanee's attention was drawn to the bigger, colorful mare before her. She felt tense and nervous as the mare drew closer, but when she put emotions aside for a moment, the mare noticed that she didn't seem to have the commanding aura as she did before. Instead, she seemed more inquisitive.

Feeling her fear slowly melt away to the ground beneath her, she shifted her gaze from the mare to look around the area. Her ears flicked about to locate the sound of water before turning her head towards the direction of the sound of water. Her white coat seemed a bit dingy and dusty, and could use a soak in the water. Not to mention, she was also thirsty, but didn't know how to convey that.

She was quite pleased that the little rabbit seemed to finally shut up and leave them alone and she tilted her head as she watched the other mare intently. Again, not so much that she was demanding an answer, but she wanted to try to understand, if she could, any hints she would be given.

Xochi easily recognized where the mare turned her attention. She too could hear the water and she arched a brow as her tail flicked. 'The river? Is that your interest?' she asked, her tone easing all the more to something more of a normal conversation. She really didnt even wait for a response back as she was fairly certain she had gotten it right. Instead she turned and motioned with her head to follow. 'Ill take there...'

Aleshanee smiled brightly when the brightly colored mare understood her words. She nodded her head enthusiastically, bubbling with happiness that the other mare understood her. Drawing a bit closer to the brighter mare, she followed closely behind her. The mare smiled at the other mare, wondering how she could show her appreciation to the kind offer. For now, the mare would quietly follow after the other mare.

For some reason the feeling Ales gave off, warmed her normally guarded heart. It wasnt as if she was acting like a child, she had no patience for dumb creatures. She seemed genuinely thankful.

Xochi eased a bit and allowed her domain powers to show a bit. The jungle around them seemed to flourish with more life, the ancient buildings as well seemed to be reconstructed as they continued toward the river. There was no doubt that the other angeni would know what she was doing, but she figured it was a nice gesture all in the same.

Finally as they crested over a small hill, the river could be easily seen. Its soft blue and green hue was shimmering with the faint sparkles of the sun through the trees.

"Here we are..."

Aleshanee amazed and enchanted by the beauty of the place. Her eyes widened and seemed to sparkle as she took in the scenery. It was her first time seeing these kinds of sights, and she would occasionally stop to enjoy the scenery before realizing that the other angeni might leave her behind if she fell too far behind.

Feeling her companion shift on her back, she can only imagine that Isi was enjoying the scenery. The mare had no idea what made it seem so special, but she liked it no matter what it was.

Glancing in front of them, the mare caught sight of the water before them. She had not even realized that the distance was that short, but she was grateful. The beauty of the jungle kept her mind occupied, and now she was finally able to cleanse herself from the dust and dirt build-up. Smiling to the angeni mare before her, she bowed her head in gratitude. The smaller angeni then made her way to the water, not sure if the other mare would accompany any further.

She was pleased that the other mare was seemingly happy, if not outright enthralled by the beauty of her jungle. It made her heart warm a bit, that she could show another just how beautiful her domain was.

She stepped back a bit, as if to give Ales all the room she would require or want. She contemplated if she should stay or not, and after a moment she decided that she would stay for now. Mostly because the jungle, though pretty, was not always safe. Her ears moved a bit at the sounds of the water, trees and wildlife before she finally shifted to settle and lay in the sun at the waters edge. She gave out a long yawn, more of laziness than boredom. She hoped the other mare wouldnt see her there as perhaps a warden, but more of a guard in case something came along that was otherwise unexpected.
