A stallion sat perched on a large rock in the middle of a lush grassland. He didn't know how he even got up on the rock because his mind was layered with questions wanting answers. He was still confused. Deeply confused was more like it and there didn't seem to be an end to his suffering. He hadn't even met a kalona yet. He knew he would listen to that breed the most. They just seemed more intelligent in his eyes. More intellectual and brilliant. He didn't know any other way to put it really. He gave a agitated snort knocking any thoughts from his head that dealt with kalona's. He needed to do that once in a while because sometimes he wondered if he would become mated to one. The only reason was because he didn't see beauty in the other breeds. Angeni's he found were too pampered and all about their beauty while thinking they were gods. Uni's he couldn't stand looking at sometimes because they came off as pure to him. The midgets, also known as usidia's was pretty self explanatory. Then the rest of the breeds besides kalona and skinwalker were all just boring to him. Not wanting to get their claws dirty in a manner of speaking. But Kalona's were everything he wanted to be and he curses everyday he wasn't born one.
Though in the end he knew...He knew deep down that if he decided to be with a Kalona mare that it would be the end of the family for him. The end of everything he believed so much in. Everything that he grew up knowing. He didn't think Faith would let a kalona into the family, but then again with her you never knew. It was just something that he would have to ask her. But for now he waited. He waited for his friend to stop by to see him. This was their usual meeting spot and sometimes he wondered what today would bring with the mare. She was a kalona after all and that meant trouble in his eyes.

Proserpine glided deftly through the overhead clouds, her glowing red eyes scanning ahead of her to make sure nothing was within her path. She had once again been able to gain the attention of the stallion she was setting out to see. He seemed so...poignant to her charms. It was rather amusing in an unsettling way. Well, more unsettling to the unassuming. Regardless, when she had first set eyes on him and come into his acquaintance she was without a doubt surprised at his lack of respect for all other breeds besides her own. Not that it was a bad thing. It offered...possibilities.
Regardless, she would enjoy corrupting this stallion. He was already conflicted as it was. It wasn't that hard to tell. Now whether he opened up more about them remained to be seen. If he was smart and calculating like herself he wouldn't necessarily tell her anything. It was in her nature to charm and corrupt ever so slowly. She reveled in the idea of corrupting an individual. It gave her goosebumps just thinking about it. As she dipped below the cloud cover she saw the familiar markings of her newest goal. To call him an acquaintance would be too little of a title. Although, to call him a friend would be something else entirely. For now she would just stick to his name with no title at all attached to their "relationship". Whatever that was.
"Gabriel, Gabriel. You stick out like a sore thumb next to the green grass here," she called out to him as she landed, her draconian wings stretching out once to pull out the kinks before settling at her sides.
She smirked at him for a moment, "it's almost like you're asking for some sort of ambush or attack. We can't have that now can we?"

The large stallion heard a familiar female voice strike his ears causing him to smirk then look in the direction which it came. It indeed was a female and one he knew well enough. A kalona that he had met one day and oddly...they struck a friendship with each other. You wouldn't call it a friendship where they are so close they were inseparable, but it was good enough. He gave a smirk to the female and looked away from her rising to his feet seeing how much he towered over her as well.
"Yes I do, but doesn't that make me easier to find? Ambush or attack? I have been attacked too many times to fall for an ambush. But you never know if there is someone out there willing to test their wits on me enough to set an ambush."
He told her letting his smirk fade away to a more stoic expression. One that didn't show much of anything. It was his usual style. Not showing his feelings on anything.
"So what brings you here? I don't see much of you anymore to be honest. I was starting to miss see my favorite Kalona friend."
He gave a dry laugh to the word friend. Not many Kalona counted anyone as friends.

A semi dark chuckle couldn't help but leave the kalona girl's lips, an almost cruel smirk adorning them shortly after. It was indeed true that she hadn't seen Gabriel in quite some time. Call the reasons...busy if you will. Recently she had met another stallion that had garnered more interest as of late. Well, two stallions. One who seemed to have some sort of revenge plotting going on, something she was rather content to be a part of. The other, well, the other she was most content to expand her bloodline with. Either way that was neither here nor there at the moment. She had other matters to attend to, ones that involved this stallion.
"Indeed it has been awhile "friend"," she impressed upon the friend part, she honestly couldn't help but find it funny, "as for why I'm here I thought I'd just go out for a morning flight. So to happen upon you is merely...coincidence" Only a half lie. She had a inkling something was going on in the stallions mind, she could feel it.
"Now what about you? Normally I don't see you until the later hours of the day. Something troubling you?" she asked.

The large stallion eyed the familiar female friend a bit as he flicked his tail behind him. She was one of the few female’s that he didn’t have a problem with. She was a kalona obviously and that put her higher on the list then anyone else. Even though it wasn’t as high as a male kalona would be.
“Hmph you say that word loosely..then so will I ‘friend’. A coincidence you say? I don’t think it’s that at all. As you already know I don’t believe in that, but more fate or chance.”
He snorted at the mare before nosing the ground very slightly and then looking to her again. Was there something bothering him? He molded the thought in his head over and over again before once again snorting at the thought.
“I was just wandering like usual, but maybe there is something troubling me…I have been thinking about possibly leaving the family I am part of. They treat me like an outcast anyway for liking kalona’s and the fact that my heart isn’t exactly….pure? I don’t know..just I don’t want to be part of something that is going to make me unhappy. I’m sure you can understand what I mean by it right?”
He asked her as he lazily flicked his long mane to the other side of his body. His nearly white eyes focusing on her as if she had the answers.

The Kalona mare looked at him closely, chuckling softly at his obvious retort to her comment. Tilting her head to the side just a tad in thought she watched him as he spoke. As she listened to the words being spoken by the stallion the wheels in her head started turning. Should she? Shouldn’t she? Should she start playing the wonderfully fulfilling games of corruption? She could tear this family apart by his words of thought. It wouldn’t even directly be because of her either. Gabriel would do it all on his own. She could slink away unnoticed and without a sound. They wouldn’t even know what had hit them until it was too late. Proserpine couldn’t help but inwardly shiver in silent pleasure; it seemed like such an amazing idea. All he needed was a push…a push in the right direction to get the plot moving. “Well Gab,” Proserpine began, “I can indeed understand where you are coming from. You see, unlike the majority of the inferior species here in these lands Kalona do not deal with the weak. It does not matter necessarily if they are of your own blood. If there is a weak chain it is almost always broken to protect the rest. There are those kalona though who are just a fiercely loyal to their family blood, some cases understandable given certain bloodlines. However at the same time personal gain is much more…”she paused for a moment to find the right word, “important. “

Smirking, the stallion tilted his head a little bit listening to the female and she was right. He knew many kalona and each one of them was different. Some were all about purity within the species and pure blood. Then their were those that didn’t care about that and only cared about themselves. Then their were those who were all about family. It didn’t matter what the family consisted of either. Then there were the ones that just played around and hurt others. His cousin was much like that. He didn’t mind any of them either. Everyone had their preference and he liked the variety.
“Your right and I feel I should break the chain of my family, but if I do that then who would I have? I will still keep in touch with my cousin even though she hates kalona’s which makes me irritated. But the rest I could care less about. But enough about me…What is new with you? Any children or any males your…dangling under your pretty little teeth?”
He grinned and knew she probably had neither, but he just liked messing around with her.

With a snort of what was half amusement and half annoyance Proserpine answered. “That cousin of yours just hasn’t met the right blood of kalona. We can be…sweet if we want to be.” Sweet as in playing with your food sort of thing; like herself she couldn’t help but play with her food. It made the meat so much more flavorful. Not that may soquili would know that one. Then when you added in a pinch of fear it made the meal so much more intricate in taste. But enough about that one, he wanted to know about her newest plaything. It would hopefully not surprise him too much.“No children thank Kalona,” she replied, “however there is this new plaything I’ve come across and I’ve taken a short liking to him. It’s nothing terribly serious though. It’s more of what I’ve said already; personal gain outweighing everything else. I don’t see it going any further than that at this point. I’m not the one male type of mare. You’d have to impress me greatly to change that one.”Her? A mother? Not a chance. She had more important matters going on in her life right now.

“Your right she probably hasn’t, but from what I heard…she will be meeting one soon enough.”
He smirked and looked to her more knowing he was going to get that kind of answer. She never seemed the type and he himself wasn’t that type either. He was just going to use mares for more of a personal gain himself. He only wanted children from them and nothing serious. It wasn’t something he ever wanted to look for. It never intrigued him and he had too many mares after him that it made him sick and turned him off rather then on.
“Ah I see. Well you never know if children would be able to come from that or not. Even if it’s personal gain. Heh if you do have children I at least want to see what kind of spawn you have. It will be interesting seeing you as a mother. Hell I can’t even see myself as a father. So I don’t expect kids anytime soon..”
He growled out and hated kids more then anything in the world.

Proserpine’s eyes flashed brightly at the comment about his cousin, “Heh, sounds like it shouldn’t or won’t be very pleasant for her. It sounds like she could be so much fun to mess with.” She grinned devilishly at the thought. No, if she met the mare she wouldn’t hurt her, just play her words around back at her. Considering Gabriel was on good terms with this mare Proserpine wouldn’t play. At least, she wouldn’t play right now immediately. She would bide her time on that one. However the thought that came with Gabriel having kids running around his legs made her laugh out loud. Him becoming a dad right now? That was a riot. “You and kids should not mix right now. You should be more concerned about yourself,” she spoke a moment later after her laughter calmed down, “and besides,” she smirked almost innocently, “I’d tear any female apart that came even close to asking you that if she was in my presence.”

Gabriel snickered at the mare a bit before shaking his head. Oh if only she knew the amount of trouble he went through with all the mares tossing themselves at him. He could have used her awhile ago. Maybe chase away some of the rats that seemed to keep coming back for him. It just pissed him off really and he didn’t know what he could do about it. He tried being mean and evil, but for some reason it just brought them closer and even brought more.
“Heh so now I have another watch dog? I wish I found you sooner because I can’t stand the female’s stalking me around all the time. It’s annoying as all hell.”
He growled out and tilted his head some more before flicking his tail some.
“I do need to focus on myself right now, but never know what could happen. Kids usually are unplanned and if they are planned….it’s rather boring. Trust me I know because pretty much every pregnancy in my herd was planned and was near the same amount of time. But it wouldn’t hurt if I did have some kids…I just wouldn’t be watching them. I would send them off to someone else.”
He simply said to her and huffed a bit.
“I think my cousin will have children before I do. Which is saying something..”

“I wouldn’t call it so much of a watch dog. I would call it strategic guarding. The inferior shouldn’t be mixing with the superior anyway,” came the simple reply, “and besides, I don’t share. Whoever you end up, male or female, they’ll have to go through me first.”Planned pregnancies, while logical in some respects were still less than favorable in the mare’s mind. Especially if the two soquili weren’t careful with who the fornicated with. It could cause some very damaging effects to the bloodline. That was something she would NOT be a part of. “Now why do you say that about your cousin? I’m curious now.”

“Very true, but sometimes it happens. It’s easy to push around the inferiors and get what you want from them then trying to boss around someone with the same standing as you. Heh…I myself need a pet of some sort. Someone weaker then me that just sticks around for me to abuse them.”
He told her and thought about the idea. He liked it, but who the hell would fill that role? Everyone he had met wouldn’t even stick around long enough to be abused.
“I don’t know if that would be open for discussion with the other though. It appears I already have a stalker so….I guess you two can fight it out. He is crazy and actually…kind of looks like you just with less hair.”
The thought of kids did scare him, but he didn’t think he had the heart to send them off. Even though he said he would, he knew he would be a good stallion and stick with the female until the foals reached adulthood.
“My cousin? He is probably one of the only family members I will protect with my life. He can see and speak with the dead. He is trying to start a family at the moment. Why did you want to hear about him?”
He asked looking to her some.

Proserpine clicked her tongue in mock thought, giving a long enough pause that was surely to get Gabriel to look at her strangely. Oddly or not she found that mental image rather amusing. He entertained her unlike most other soquili did. But then again most others either high tailed it out of there when they saw her or were killed for her pleasure. Gabriel amused her due to the fact that he was the first one to full stick up for himself and almost beat her in a game of cat and mouse. It was rather astonishing really, but it gave her a not so common respect for the stallion. If he was a Kalona she wouldn't have minded going down another road with him. It was a pity really.
As it was Proserpine moved into a relaxed pose, inclining her head towards Gaberiel at the comments about a stalker. He hadn't told her much about that one but the thought made her snicker; must drive him crazy. Too bad he couldn't use that to his advantage and make a pet out of him or her. No matter, she knew he'd find someone to play with. He was smart and sly enough to get his way if he really wanted too. She would love to watch that act in progress when it happened. Either way the fact remained she still had to decide whether or not to discuss his cousin. Granted, she didn't have much else to do today so the answer came soon enough.
"Sure, why not. And why don't you tell me more about this stalker of yours. It sounds rather comical."

Gabriel huffed at the mention of his stalker once again. He just couldn't get rid of the stallion and didn't know if there was a way he could. He was his pet now and the more he thought about it the more he felt his stomach turn. He didn't want him around anymore, but then the thought of someone being addicted to him kind of made him feel good. He couldn't explain it other then he was sick in the head to like something like that. "He claimed me as his pet and promised to keep an eye on me at all times. He doesn't really like others around me all too much, but more so the clingy mares. He hates them, but other then that I don't really see too much of him. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing since he tends to act a little crazy." He told her nodding a little slowly before letting out a long drawn out sigh. He was expecting her to laugh about it since it was a little on the comical side.
"It's rather pathetic I know, but can we change subjects? Are you up to anything interesting that I could partake in?" He didn't like thinking about the stallion since it made him uneasy.
